Pulse-echo response of 1-3 type piezoelectric composite transducers for distance measurement (거리 측정용 1-3형 복합압전체 트랜스듀서의 펄스에코 응답 특성)

  • In this study, the piezoelectric ceramics/polymer composite transducers with 1-3 connectivity have been studied. A piezoelectric ceramics PZT prepared by Wet-Dry Combination method was used as a filler in polymer matrix Eccogel. We've got the pulse-echo response for 1-3 type piezc-electric composite transducers in water. It was shown that the transmitting and receiving sensitivity of 1-3 type piezoelectric composite transducers could be improved in comparison with that- of solid PZT transducers. The reason is for that 1-3 type Piezoelectric composites have low dielectric constant and density. There was in a good agreement between the resonant frequencies calculated from one period and observed results on the Ultrasonic Transducer Analyzer. According to these results we could be figured out the distance in water by virture of the pulse-echo response.

Attrition milling법에 의해 제조된 PNW-PMN-PZT 세라믹스의 유전 및 압전 특성

  • In this study, microstructural and piezoelectric characteristics of PNW-PMN-PZT ceramics manufactured using attrition milling method were investigated. Sintering temperature of the ceramics was varied from $980^{\circ}C$ to $1100^{\circ}C$. At the specimen sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$, mechanical quality factor(Qm) and dielectric constant showed the maxinum values of 2,373 and 1438, respectively. At the specimen sintered at $1080^{\circ}C$, electromechanical coupling factot(kp) also showed the maxinum value of 0.524.

  • In this study, the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency($TCF_r$), dielectric and piezoelectric properties of $Pb_{1-x}Sr_x[(Sb_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})_{0.035}(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_{0.065}(Zr_{0.49},Ti_{0.51})_{0.90}]O_3$ ceramics were investigated with the Sr substitution to Pb site. The dielectric constant was increased according to the increase of Sr substitution and electromechanical coupling factor($k_t$) also showed the highest values of 0.485 when the Sr substitution was 5 mol%. Moreover, the mechanical quality factor($Q_{mt}$) showed the highest value of 233 when the Sr substitution was 2 mol%.

  • In this paper, the electrical and dielectrical properties were investigated in Pb(Zr,Ti)O$_3$-Pb(Mn,Nb)O$_3$ ceramics which are manufactured with the substitution of Ba in site Pb. In older to increase the del and Kp , Ba was substitued to site Pb from 0 to 0.1 by 0.02 mol%. As the Ba substitution is increased, dielectric constant is increased and electricmachanical coupling factor showed the maximum value at Ba 0.06mol% and the mechanical qualify factor is decreased and the tetragonality and the grain size are decreased as the Ba substitution.

  • To improve dielectric, piezoelectric and temperature stability in 0.50Pb(SnS11/2TSbS11/2T)OS13T - 0.35PbTiOS13T - 0.60PbZrOS13T + 0.4[wt%]MnOS12T piezoelectric ceramics which is used for surface acoustic wave devices, CrS12TOS13T was added and the specimens were fabricated by Hot Press method, and their characteristics were measured with CrS12TOS13T addition. From the results, in the specimen added by 0.2[wt%]CrS12TOS13T, dielectric constant and mechanical quality factor were 380 and 2307, respectively, and it was suited for surface acoustic wave device and the temperature coefficient of the resonant frequency in the specimen added by 0.4[wt%]CrS12TOS13T was the least value of 74.96[ppm/$^{\circ}C$].

  • In this study, piezoelectric ceramics of composition 0.08Pb(Mn$\sub$1/3/Sb$\sub$2/3/)O$_3$ were manufactured by the Hot-press method and structural, piezoelectrical properties and temperature stability were investigated with addition of 0, 02, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 [wt%] Cr$_2$O$_3$. Also the SAW delayline was fabricated and the propagation characteristics of SAW were considered with SAW theories.

  • Temperature dependences of the remanent polarization $P_{\gamma}$/(T), effective birefringence ㅿn(T). dielectric constant K(T) and quadratic electro-optic coefficient R(T) of the two-stage sintered xBa(La$_{1/2}$Nb$_{1/2}$)O$_3$Pb$(Zr_{y}Ti_{1-y})O-{3}$(x=0.085, 0.09, 0.40$\leq$y$\leq$0.70)ceramics were investigated. Increasing the PbZrO$_3$ contents, the crystal structure of a specimen was varied from tetragonal and rhombohedral to cubic, and the phase transition was showed a diffuse phase transition(DPT) characteristics. Especially. in the compositions which located on the PE-FE phase boundary were showed a discrepancy between curie temperature and temperature range which a macroscopic polarization and a effective birefringence were disappeared.

  • In this paper, we manufactured Pb($Ni_{1/2}$ $W_{1/2}$)$O_3$-Pb($Mn_{1/3}$$Nb_{2/3}$)$O_3$-Pb($Zr_3$Ti)$O_3$ceramics with variation of milling time and investigated its dielectric and piezoelectric properties. Density was increased with the increase of milling time because the sinterability of specimens were improved with the decrease of particle size. The highest value of electromechanical coupling factor was 0.518 at milling time 5hour. The highest values of mechanical quality factor and dielectric constant were 1566, 1590 at milling time 4hour, respectively.

  • In this thesis, the minuteness structure, piezoelectric, and dielectric characteristics of Pb[(Co0.5 W0.5) 0.03 (Ni1/3 Nb2/3) 0.07(Zr0.52 Ti0.48)0.9]O3+0.5Wt% MnO2 ceramics has been systematically investigated as a function of the sintering temperature after manufacturing the specimens with a general method. The electromechanical coupling coefficient (Kp) showed its maximum of 31.116[%] in the sintered specimens at $1050[^{\circ}C]$, and its minimum of 20.220[%] in the sintered specimens at $1150[^{\circ}C]$. The mechanical quality coefficient (Qm) marked the maximum of 139.526 at the sintering temperature of $1150[^{\circ}C]$.

  • In this paper, in order to develop the low temperature sintering and dielectric properties for piezoelectric transformer, PMW-PNN-PZT ceramics using $B_2O_3$ as sintering aids were manufactured. With increasing the amount of $B_2O_3$ addition, density were increased up to 10mol% $B_2O_3$ addition and then decreased. The variation rate of dielectric constant according to the change of frequency were decreasing by increasing frequency, and in the sintering $1100^{\circ}C$, 20mol% $B_2O_3$ showed $1.32{\times}10^{-1}/kHz$.
