  • This paper deals with a novel method of modeling and analyzing multilevel pulse width modulation(PWM) inverter/rectifier, which leads to extraction of equivalent circuit in fundamental frequency domain. By the technique, we can draw out the corresponding linear time invariant circuit even thuogh the actual circuit is switched. A static VAR compensator using five-level inverter is modeled and simulated for the verification of the modeling.

  • In the current-controlled PWM, the actual current tracks the sinusoidal reference wave within desired hyeteresis band. This paper au99e61s the current control scheme for voltage-fed single-phase inverter and presents the simulation results. It is expected that the inverter with this control method produces no significant lower-order harmonics.

  • 본 논문에서는 불평형 전원 전압 하에서 삼상 PWM 컨버터의 전류 보상 기법을 제안하였다. 전원 전압이 불평형인 경우 PLL(Phase Locked Loop)를 이용하여 추출한 위상각에는 왜곡 성분이 포함된다. 이러한 왜곡된 위상각으로 컨버터를 제어하는 경우 입력 전류에도 고조파가 포함되게 된다. 본 논문에서는 불평형 전원 전압 하에서도 입력 전류의 THD(Total Harmonic Distortion)를 IEEE Std. 519 규정인 5% 이내로 제한할 수 있도록 하는 전류 보상 기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 기법은 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, a current control system for single phase PWM AC/DC converter without the source voltage sensors is proposed. The sinusoidal input current and unity effective power factor are realised based on the estimated source voltage in the controller. The estimation of source voltage is performed by the reduced-order Luenberger observer using actual currents. The estimated source voltage is used to accomplish unity power factor. The proposed method is proved by experiments.

  • In the 3-phase PWM converter, accurate detection of the supplied voltage phase is very important. But a detecting circuit cannot avoid generating the deviation of phase detector so that we need to compensate it. In this paper, an accurate and simple compensating method of deviation of phase detector is proposed.

  • Many Harmonics components is contained within the stator currents of the High-speed Reluctance Synchronous Motor with salient pole rotor. They cause the power factor of RSM to get worse. In this paper, the mathematical model of RSM is investigated. And SV-PWM control method is applied to reduce Harmonics components in the stator currents. Simulation results shows the fast response of speed and the reduction of Harmonics components at steady state

  • A new control method of solar cell output using PWM chopper is described. Theoretical analysis and comparision for all sorts of system are also discussed for improving photovoltic system efficiency. It is expected that the result of this study will be utilized to some other DC or AC application equipments.
