Characteristic of Wave Tail According to Inductance values in 10/350 Impulse Circuit with Crowbar Switch (크로바 스위치를 적용한 10/350 임펄스 회로에서 인덕턴스에 따른 wave tail 특성)

  • This paper shows the characteristic of wave tail according to inductance values in 10/$350{\mu}s$ impulse circuit with crowbar switch. The PSpice was used to simulate the 10/$350{\mu}s$ current waveform and lightning current impulse generator was used to generate real current waveform. As a capacitor of condenser bank increases, a virtual front time increases and a time to half-value decreases. To get a perfect 10/$350{\mu}s$ current waveform, we should consider the combination of circuit values of the inductance, capacitance, time difference between trigger pulses and charged voltage of capacitor bank.

  • A surge protection device of the metal oxide varistor(MOV) has been commonly used for preventing electrical damage in many electronic equipments. The MOV has a property that leakage current is increased and might be permanently damaged when it is exposed continuously to the electrical stresses such as lightening surges. In this paper, we propose a novel surge protection circuit adopting a silicon controlled rectifier(SCR) in the traditional protection circuits using the MOV device simultaneously. When lightning surges are injected to the proposed circuit, the MOV lets the surge pulses bypassing through the ground at first up to the level that SCR begins to operate. Above the threshold level of turning on the SCR, the SCR operates bypasses large surge currents to the ground. Proposed circuit was verified with a leakage current experiment and PSpice circuit simulations under the repeated surge injection environment.

  • Chua's oscillator is a simple electronic circuit which exhibits a variety of bifurcation phenomena and attractors, It consist of two capacitors, an inductor, two linear resistors, and a nonlinear resistor. When the circuit exhibits chaotic signals, the nonlinear resistor of Chua's oscillator may have six different voltage - current characteristics. In this paper, the design methodology for practical implementation of the nonlinear resistors which have all these characteristics is described. In addition, the effectivness of result is shown by not only the computer simulation but also the experimental test.

  • A new multi-level type energy recovery sustaining driver for AC PDP(Plasma Display Panel) is proposed in this paper. The multi-level driver has been developed to reduce the voltage stress on switching elements. Comparing the proposed driver with the conventional multi-level driver, 4 switching elements, 4 diodes, and two auxiliary capacitors are eliminated in the viewpoint of circuit structure. Moreover, the voltage stress on switching elements is more reduced and the sustain period is extended. To verify the validity of the proposed energy recovery circuit, computer simulations using PSpice program are carried out.

  • 본 논문은 계통연계형 연료전지 PCS(Power Conditioning System)에서 최적의 승압효율을 갖는 Boost Converter의 설계를 위해 Boost Converter내의 각 소자의 선정에 따른 손실 및 분석을 통하여 최적의 소자선정 방법의 이해를 목적으로 한다. Boost Converter의 설계를 위한 소자선정을 위해 Or-CAD 16.0의 PSPICE Simulator을 사용하여 그 결과를 확인하였다.

  • This paper describe the KUIC-CEX, an automated CMOS layout verification program which extracts circuit connectivity, MOSFET dimensions, and parasitic capacitance for CIF(1) file. In the KUIC-CEX, Bitmap approach(2, 3) is used for basic operation. Since the output of this program is the Input file format of PSPICE, we can easily verify the layout of circuit. This program is written in C language.

  • AIGaAs /GaAs HBT OR /NOR gate. which can be used for high speed digital system was designed. Equivalent circuit parameters of HBT were obtained from Gummel-Poon's model and direct extraction method. Simulation results with PSPI CE showed that propagation delay time and cutoff toggle frequency of designed gate were 25ps and 200Hz, respectively. the designed gate exhibited superior properties to the recently reported HBT ECL and MESFET SCFL when considering the fan-out characteristics and noise margin.

  • The control part of one-chip microcomputer has been designed with the 3um design rule for CMOS poly silicon gate and Its cells were layed out. The operation of the logic circuits were simulated with EDAS_P. The widths and lengths of circuit were determined by using PSPICE. The control part of microcomputer has designed by using hardwired methode. Results of logic simulation and circuit simulation are in good agreements with expected circuit characteristics.

  • A half-bridge type resonant current injection type high frequency resonant inverter using ZVS(Zero-Voltage-Switching) used as power source of induction heating at high frequency is presented in this paper. This proposed inverter can reduce distribution of the switching current because of using the current of serial resonant circuit to the input current of the parallel one. The analysis of the proposed circuit is generally described by using the normalized parameters, the principle of basic operating and the its characteristics are estimated by the parameters such as switching frequency and load resistance. According to the calculated characteristics value, this paper proves the validity of theoretical analysis through the Pspice.

  • FuelCell/Battery hybrid power systems were studied to develop high efficient zero-emission fuel cell electric vehicles. Fuel cells were used as an auxiliary energy source and batteries were used as a transient power source. The fuel cell system is used to supply the average power demand. Dynamic response of the hybrid systems was simulated using PSPICE program and also tested experimentally. The results can be used to design the interface module and to determine the power requirement between the fuel cell unit and the battery pack.
