소형자동궤도차량 시스템의 그래프 모델 기반 수송능력 추정 (Traffic Capacity Estimate of Personal Rapid Transit System based on Digraph Model)

  • This study proposes a new methodology to estimate the traffic capacity of a personal rapid transit(PRT) system. The proposed method comprises three steps. The first step models the guideway network(GN) of PRT as a digraph, where its node and link represent a station and a one-way guideway link between two stations, respectively. Given local vehicle control strategies, the second step formulates the local traffic capacities through the nodes and links of the GN model. The third step estimates the worst-case local traffic demands based on a shortest-path routing algorithm and an empty vehicle allocation algorithm. By comparing the traffic estimates to the local traffic capacities, we can determine the feasibility of the given GN in traffic capacity.

  • 소형궤도 차량 시스템(PRT: Personal Rapid Transit)은 짧은 거리에 비교적 많은 승객을 수송하기 위하여 매우 짧은 차간 간격을 요구하며 또한 차량 간의 충돌을 피하기 위해서 매우 정확한 차량 속도제어 알고리즘을 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 소형궤도차량 시스템의 차량의 충돌회피 알고리즘 개발을 위한 장치의 구성에 대해서 다룬다. 개발 장치는 모의 차량, 중앙제어 시스템, 모의지상설비, 모니터링 장치로 구성되며, 설계된 알고리즘의 모의시험을 위해서 Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit과 Matlab/Simulink가 결합된 모의시험 환경을 이용한다.

  • 수요응답형 순환교통시스템(Personal Rapid Transit: PRT)은 자동차에 버금가는 승객의 요구 대응성 및 최적경로 운행으로 인한 높은 효율성 등의 특징 때문에 미래형 신교통수단으로서 많은 주목을 받아 왔다. 하지만 수송 분담 능력(4~6명)에 비해 건설비가 많이 들어가고 기존에 운용되고 있는 타 대중교통시스템과의 역할 분담 문제 때문에 적용에 한계가 있는 것도 사실이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 도시 내 유연한 운용과 타 교통수단과의 연계를 목적으로 PRT 차량을 위한 수직이송장치를 개발하였다. 기존의 물류 분야에서 많이 채택되고 있는 순환 컨베이어 방식을 응용하였으며, 특히 연속이송이 가능하며 사이클 타임이 적은 장점이 있다. 이와 더불어 1/10 스케일의 모형의 제작을 통하여 장치의 기술적인 운용 가능성을 확인하였으며, 이를 통해 구조적 안정성을 확보하기 위한 방안을 도출하였다.

미시적 시뮬레이션을 통한 PRT 정류장 용량분석 (Analysis of PRT Station Capacity based on Micro Simulation)

  • The introduction of Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) has been widely discussed in the Korean transportation research field. However, there is no robust criterion to derive the throughput of cars and passengers at PRT stations, which plays a primary role in determining the overall capacity of PRT systems. The present study provided a methodology to rigorously compute the capacity for simple-serial PRT stations with a single platform, considering three decisive factors, i.e., the demand level of incoming cars and outgoing passengers, the station structure, and the operation strategy. A micro-level simulator was developed for the analysis of station capacity. And, by using this, station capacities were presented for various combinations of the decisive factors. In particular, the relationship between capacity and station structure was investigated in detail. Station structure is represented by the numbers of platform berths, input queue berths, and output queue berths. Moreover, both waive rate and waiting time, which represent the level of passenger service, were taken into account when the station throughput was computed.

  • This paper presents a vehicle control algorithm for Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system. PRT system is a one-way direction network system which is composed of guideway branches, merging/diverging points. Vehicle control algorithm can be divided into two kinds. Those are merging control algorithm and the other. We emphasized on the merging control algorithm. For that, we first devised a front/virtual front vehicle finding strategies. Properly determined front/virtual front vehicle is the starting point of vehicle control. The objects of merging control are to avoid collision and to pass the merging point fluently. Which implies that jerk constraint and limits of acceleration and deceleration etc. are should be considered. To verify the validation of the vehicle algorithm, we executed simulations and presented test results.

개인고속이동시스템의 차량제어 알고리즘에 대한 실험적 평가 (An Experimental Evaluation of the Vehicle Control Algorithm in Personal Rapid Transit System)

  • In this paper we deal with a design of the evaluation system to assess the vehicle operational control algorithm for Personal Rapid Transit(PRT) system. PRT system is different from the conventional rail traffic system in such that the station is off-line so as to guarantee a very short headway. In this study we propose an evaluation system to assess the performance of the proposed vehicle control algorithm. The evaluation system is composed of virtual vehicles, central control system, virtual wayside facilities, monitoring equipments. The virtual vehicles are made up by the laptop computers and the central control system employs Power PC process of Motorola Inc. The wayside facilities are implemented by employing the PXI module of the National Instruments Corporation. In order to test the proposed evaluation system a test algorithm is used, which has been simulated in the combined simulation system between Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit and Matlab/Simulink.

도심지 서비스를 위한 Synchronous PRT의 최적경로설정 (On the Optimal Routing for City-Wide Synchronous PRT)

  • Recently, there are environmental issues for sustainable transportation system to pursue the energy-efficient and environment-friendly public urban transit. These transportation system needs to offer demand-oriented high-quality service being on the same level with cab service for urban space. PRT(Personal Rapid Transit), small track-guided vehicle, is repeatedly mentioned as a possible alternative for the new urban public transportion system, but but there are not many researches on the operational optimal routing for PRT network. In this paper, the concept of PRT and general optimal routing methods are reviewed. And we suggest the optimal routing method for city-wide PRT network with multi-vehicles and stations, junctions and directional arcs. Futher research directions for PRT routing are presented.

한국형 소형궤도차량(PRT)의 내구성 및 주행안정성 평가 연구 (A Study on the Durability and Running Stability Evaluation of the Korean PRT)

  • The PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) system is highly interested to meet a need for demand-responsive transport service and increasing demands of traffic in Korea recently. And it is being spotlighted as an eco-friendly transportation system. For these reasons, researches on the PRT system are actively undergoing in Korea. In this study, we evaluated the static structural and fatigue strengths based on ASCE-APM standards and ERRI B 12/RP 17 by means of FE simulation. We also evaluate the running stability by multi-body dynamic analyses and the rollover safety by a theoretical static stability factor according to the road modeling scenarios for the PRT system. From the results of this study, we confirmed the durability and running stability of the Korean PRT under development.

소형궤도차량(PRT)의 국내 적용시 정책적 검토 사항 연구 (A Study on the Possibilities of PRT Applications)

  • 소형궤도차량(PRT)은 무인자동운전으로 중간역 정차 없이 궤도를 따라 운영되는 시스템이다. PRT는 교통체계내에서 철도역, 공항, 업무복합지구, 관광위락시설 및 쇼핑시설 등에서 교통상황에 따라 수요에 부응하는 지선교통체계로서의 역할에 적절하다. 이러한 PRT시스템은 대규모 교통시설간, 지선교통체계와 간선교통체계간, 중심업무지구내 일정 범위 안에서 또는 위락시설간 통행자들을 위한 교통수단으로 적절히 활용될 것으로 전망된다. 본 논문은 신교통시스템으로서 대중교통수단의 다변화에 기여할 수 있는 PRT시스템의 특성을 고려하여 PRT시스템 의 적정 지역 선정을 위한 정책적 검토 사항을 모색하였으며, 지속적인 기술의 발전을 통해 PRT가 대중교통시스템내에서 신뢰성과 효율성을 확보할 것으로 기대한다.
