일 도시지역 갱년기 여성들의 폐경관리 수행에 관한 조사 연구

  • This study was designed to describe the management of menopause of the climacteric-women. The subjects of this study were 95 climacteric-women in Taejon city. The instrument used for this study was Management of Menopause Scale developed by Song(1997). The data were collected from December 1997 to June 1998. The data were analyzed by using the SPSS(PC+) program. The information was obtained by use of Mean, Standard Deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient and ANOVA. The results were as Follows; 1. Among the categories of management of menopause, dietary management($3.74{\pm}1.25$) was the highest and management of exercise and activity ($3.35{\pm}0.93$), self contorl($3.13{\pm}1.21$), management of professional health maintenance($2.75{\pm}1.32$), management of sex life($2.11{\pm}1.92$) were in order. 2. On considering the relationship between the climacteric-women's management of menopause and their general characteristics, age(r=-0.38, P=0.00) and educational background(F=4.8247, P=0.00) were statistically significant.

지역사회 중년기 여성을 위한 요실금 예방 및 자가관리 프로그램 효과 (The Effect of a Urinary Incontinence Prevention and Self-management Program for Middle-aged Women in Rural Communities)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate a urinary incontinence self-management program for middle-aged women in Korean rural communities. Methods: A one-group pretest and posttest design was used to examine changes in severity, knowledge, and attitudes following the intervention. Fifty-six women completed weekly 90-min group sessions for seven weeks. Descriptive statistics and paired t-tests were used to analyze data. Results: The total of International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire scores was significantly decreased after the intervention (pre-test: $4.55{\pm}3.88$, post-test: $3.21{\pm}3.00$, p<.001). Significant improvement was also noted on the mean knowledge scores (pre-est: $16.66{\pm}6.24$, post-test: $21.43{\pm}5.15,$ p<.001). Conclusions: This study suggests that the UI self-management program is useful in improving the symptom of UI for middle-aged women living in communities.

간흡충 예방 강사를 위한 간흡충 예방교육 프로그램의 효과 (Effects of a Clonorchiasis Prevention Education Program for Clonorchiasis Prevention Lecturers)

  • Purpose: The study was conducted to clarify effects of a clonorchiasis prevention education program for clonorchiasis prevention lecturers. Methods: The research adopted a single group pretest-posttest design to see effects of the educational program to prevent Clonorchis sinensis infection. The subjects of this study were 74 clonorchiasis prevention lecturers from primary health care facilities. The pretest was conducted before the clonorchiasis prevention education program and the post test was done after the 2-day program in August, 2011. Descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA were conducted to analyze the data. Results: The confidence level in Clonorchiasis management activities was improved significantly from $4.1{\pm}0.53$ points before the education to $4.4{\pm}0.46$ points after the education (t=-5.117, p<.001). The knowledge level about prevention of Clonorchis sinensis was improved significantly from $16.1{\pm}2.72$ points before the education to $18.3{\pm}1.14$ points after the education (t=-6.629, p<.001). Conclusion: The results suggest that the education program was effective in improving the confidence and knowledge levels in Clonorchiasis management activities for the clonorchiasis prevention lecturers. Based on the results of this study, continuous research on how the increased knowledge and confidence levels of Clonorchis sinensis prevention affect the prevalence of Clonorchis sinensis infection.

High School Students' Satisfaction with Foodservice Quality Is Affected by Foodservice Management Type

  • This study was designed to examine the satisfaction of high school students with different types of foodservice management programs. The importance and the performance of foodservice management programs were evaluated based on the perceptions of high school students about food service characteristics affecting customer satisfactions. The average score of the attributes affecting the importance of school food service program was $4.27\pm0.49$ and the most important attribute was identified as 'the food safety $(4.68\pm0.67)$', followed by 'the taste of food $(4.66\pm0.65)$'. The average scores of all performance dimensions were lower than 3 point. 'Menu dimension' was rated as the lowest dimension $(2.61\pm0.89)$ and 'Food dimension $(2.79\pm0.70)$' was rated as the highest dimension. Significant differences among different types of foodservice management were perceived by respondents in the overall performance (F=40.244, p<0.001). Students who served by contract-conventional management rated significantly higher performance score on all of the performance attributes than the students served by other types of foodservice management. The results of the importance and the performance analysis present that student satisfaction is affected with the type of foodservice management programs and substantial differences lies between the perceptions of foodservice operations and students.

간호대학생의 스트레스, 자아존중감, 정신건강에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Stress, Self-Esteem, and Mental-Health in Nursing Students)

  • This study is intended to identify relationship between stress, self-esteem and mental health in nursing students. The data were collected from 448 nursing students using self-report questionnaire. The data were analyzed by frequencies, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and Stepwise multiple regression using the SPSS 19.0 program. The result are as followed; First, the average of stress, self-esteem, and mental health was $1.25{\pm}0.55$, $3.33{\pm}0.42$, and $2.79{\pm}1.20$ point. Second, mental health was correlated with stress positively and self-esteem negatively. Third, the influencing factor in mental health of the participant were interpersonal relationship and clinical based stress, $R^2=.561$. Thus, development of guidance program to improve mental health of nursing students is recommended.

위생순회방문지도를 통한 어린이 급식소 조리원 대상 위생 지식의 변화 평가 (The Effect of a Periodic Visiting Education Program on Food Safety Knowledge of Cooks in Children's Foodservice Facilities)

  • This study evaluated the effectiveness of a visiting inspection and knowledge-based food safety education program for cooks in child care facilities provided by the Center for Children's Foodservice Management (CCFSM). The research was conducted among cooks at 91 child care facilities; 56 existing facilities had been enrolled since 2011 and provided with the inspection and education program for 2 years and 35 new facilities were enrolled in 2012 and provided with the program for 1 year. The food safety knowledge of the cooks of the two groups were compared by the presence and duration of inspection and education programs provided by the CCFSM. The total mean score for food safety knowledge was $18.48{\pm}3.09$, with a group score of $19.34{\pm}2.68$ for the existing facilities and $17.11{\pm}3.25$ for the new facilities (P<0.001). There was no significant difference between groups in the knowledge of the personal sanitation. According to a post-test for food safety knowledge in the two groups after the completion of a one-year program on food safety by CCFSM, the mean score of food safety knowledge increased by 2.92 to 20.03 for cooks of the new facilities and both groups had significantly higher mean scores than pre-test (P<0.001). There was no significant difference in the mean score of each group by post-test. Thus, the one-year continuous program by CCFSM was effective in improving food safety knowledge of the cooks of the child care facilities.

일개 대학병원에서 제한 항생제 전산 프로그램 운용에 따른 항생제 사용량 변화 (Change of Antimicrobial Use Density According to Application of Computerized Management Program for Restriction of Antimicrobials Use in a University Hospital)

  • 목 적 : 감염병 치료를 위해서 항생제의 적절한 선택은 필수적이며 잘못된 사용은 내성균주의 출현과 확산, 치료의 실패, 약물 부작용, 의료비 상승 등의 다양한 문제점을 초래한다. 저자들은 임상에서 특정 항생제의 사용을 제한하는 전산 프로그램의 운용이 항생제의 부적절한 사용을 억제하고 약제 사용량 감소에 도움이 되는지 알아보고자 본 연구를 시행하였다. 방 법 : 항생제관리위원회의 의결로 내성의 우려가 있는 고가의 항생제와 과거에 부적절한 사용 경향을 보였던 약제 등 총 7계열의 16개 품목을 제한 항생제로 선정하였다. 입원환자를 대상으로 제한 항생제 관리용 전산 프로그램 운용 후인 2004년과 2005년 5~7월(연구군) 및 운용 전인 2002년과 2003년 동일기간(대조군)에 처방된 항생제의 사용 내역을 후향적으로 조사하였다. 항생제 사용량 비교를 위한 지표는 1일당 재원환자 100명당 항생제 사용자수(명)로 하였으며 일별 항생제 사용 환자수를 조사한 후 재원환자 100명당 사용자수를 산정하였으며, 계열별로 양군간 비교를 시도하였다. 결 과 : 1일 재원 환자수는 대조군($823.5{\pm}37.1$명)이 연구군($809.2{\pm}39.3$명)보다 많았으며(P<0.001), 1일 퇴원 환자수(연구군 : $81.2{\pm}16.0$명 vs. 대조군 : $81.5{\pm}16.9$명)와 재원일수(연구군 : $9.9{\pm}1.6$ vs. 대조군 : $10.0{\pm}2.1$)는 양군간 비슷하였다. 1일당 재원환자 100명당 항생제 사용자수(연구군 vs. 대조군)는 항진균제($0.6{\pm}0.3$명 vs. $0.7{\pm}0.4$명)와 glycopeptides ($4.1{\pm}0.7$명 vs. $4.2{\pm}0.6$명)는 양군간 비슷하였고, carbapenems($1.9{\pm}0.5$명 vs. $0.9{\pm}0.3$명)과 piperacillin-tazobactam($0.7{\pm}0.3$명 vs. $0.3{\pm}0.2$명), quinolones ($2.2{\pm}0.6$명 vs. $1.6{\pm}0.5$명)은 연구군에서 더 많았으며(P<0.001), 고가의 광범위 cephalosporins($1.3{\pm}0.4$명 vs. $1.6{\pm}0.3$명)와 부적절한 사용 경향을 보였던 약제($1.1{\pm}0.5$명 vs. $6.0{\pm}1.4$명)는 연구군에서 유의하게 감소하였다(P<0.001). 결 론 : 항생제 사용을 제한하는 전산 프로그램의 운용은 임상자료 분석에서 부적절한 사용 경향을 가진 항생제의 사용을 줄이는데 효과적이나 내성균 치료제나 고가 약제의 사용량 감소를 위해서는 미흡한 조치이며 이에 대한 추가적인 대책이 필요하다.

간호사의 지식관리활동과 조직유효성과의 관계 (Relationship between Knowledge Management Process and Organizational Effectiveness in Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree and pattern of knowledge management process, and to identify the relationship between knowledge management process and organizational effectiveness in clinical nurses. Method: Participants were 665 regular clinical nurses who had worked for over 1 year in general units of 9 tertiary medical hospitals including 2 national university hospitals, 5 university hospitals, and 2 hospitals founded by business enterprises. Data were collected from March to May 2003 through questionnaires. Four structured instruments were used to collect the data: Knowledge Management Process Scale(Jeong, Lee, Lee, & Kim, 2003), cCommitment Questionnaire(Mowday, Steers, & Porter, 1979), General Satisfaction Scale(CooK, Hepworth, Wall, & Warr, 1981), and one for general characteristics. The data were analyzed using factor analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, correlation analysis with the SPSS for Windows 10.0 program. Result: 1) The average score for knowledge management process in nurses was $3.08{\pm}.54$ on a 5-point Likert scale. In order from highest mean score, the elements of knowledge management process, were Knowledge $Utilization(3.35{\pm}.57)$, Knowledge $Sharing(3.07{\pm}.58)$, Knowledge $Creation(2.99{\pm}.63)$, and Knowledge $Storage(2.91{\pm}.82)$. 2) Four knowledge management patterns for nurses, which were derived from cluster analysis, were inactivate pattern, delayed pattern, activate pattern, and high-activate pattern of knowledge management. 3) The degree of knowledge management process activation and 4 elements of knowledge management process, Knowledge Creation, Knowledge Storage, Knowledge Sharing, and Knowledge Utilization, were significantly correlated with nurses' organizational commitment and job satisfaction(p=.000). 4) The nurses' organizational commitment and job satisfaction showed significant differences according to the knowledge management patterns derived from cluster analysis of high-activate pattern, activate pattern, delayed pattern, inactivate pattern(p=.000). Conclusion: These results suggest that there are four knowledge management patterns for nurses, and knowledge management process positively affects the nurses' organizational commitment and job satisfaction. From the above findings, knowledge management process is empirically verified as a useful and effective method to increase organizational effectiveness, and develop the organization.

치과위생사와 치위생과 학생의 자기효능감과 방사선안전관리 지식 및 태도에 대한 비교 (Comparing with self-efficacy and knowledge, attitudes about radiation safety management of dental hygienists and students at department of dental hygiene)

  • Objectives : It is important to catch individual characteristics by measuring the level of self-efficacy, radiation safety knowledge, attitudes to increase behavior levels in the radiation safety management(RSM) and we consider this should be applied to the professional program development to improve RSM activities of dental hygienist and students at department of dental hygiene. Methods : This study mentioned mainly self-efficacy, radiation safety knowledge, attitudes for dental hygienists and the second & third year students at department of dental hygiene in Pusan area to provide the correct information associated with the use of radiation and to be aid in the development program to increase behavior levels in the RSM in dental care institutions and schools in the future and performed a survey 8 May to 7 Juiy, 2011. The survey results were as follows Results : 1. The results of self-efficacy is $3.53{\pm}0.42$ points for the dental hygienist and $3.32{\pm}0.40$ points for students(p<0.001). 2. According to the knowledge level of RSM, the result is $11.7{\pm}3.12$ points for the dental hygienist and $9.56{\pm}2.72$ points for students(p<0.001). 3. According to the knowledge level of RSM, the result is $4.40{\pm}0.49$ points for the dental hygienist and $4.22{\pm}0.56$ points for students(p<0.001). 4. According to relationship among self-efficacy, radiation safety knowledge and attitudes, the higher the score for knowledge of RSM was, the higher the score for self-efficacy was. The higher the score for attitudes was, the higher the score for self-efficacy and knowledge was(p<0.01). 5. The factors to affect attitudes about RSM were self-efficacy, knowledge(p<0.01).

Taste education reduces food neophobia and increases willingness to try novel foods in school children

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: This study measured the effects of a taste education program developed in Korea on food neophobia and willingness to try novel foods in school children. SUBJECTS/METHODS: One-hundred and twenty school children (aged 7-9 years) residing in Seoul participated in 12 sessions of a taste education program for 3 months. The Korean taste education program was adapted from "Les classes du gout" by J. Puisais and modified to suit a Korean education environment. The study subjected school children to pre- and post-programs on food neophobia and willingness to try novel foods (WTNF), in addition to children's food neophobia in their parents. A total of 101 survey data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0. RESULTS: Regarding the effects of taste education, scores of food neophobia significantly decreased (P < 0.01) in the posttest, mean (m) score ($4.10{\pm}1.19$) decreased compared to the pretest ($4.39{\pm}1.00$), and WTNF significantly increased (P < 0.001) in the pretest (m) score ($0.48{\pm}0.33$) compared to the pretest ($0.32{\pm}0.34$). This result indicates verification of the study hypothesis. CONCLUSIONS: Food neophobia scale (FNS), an index that measures personal food preference [1,2], showed a very weak correlation with behavioral willingness to taste novel foods (WTNF). Therefore, it is expected that the two scales measure different things. However, considering that the traits of food neophobia are not easily changed, the taste education program was administered in a remarkably effective manner.
