A precise measurement of field test was performed to estimate the thermal performance of the forced convection electric air heater by experiment. Air temperature, flow rate and electrical power input were measured with the related measurement sensors, and acquisition methods for the measured data were studied to estimate the thermal performance of the tested air heater effectively. To determine the mean air temperature at the flow cross-section, measuring positions were chosen by considering the flow velocity profile and the equally divided cross-sectional area. From the experimental results, thermal efficiency was obtained accurately as an indication of the tested heating system performance.

In this study, the performance of the DPRMs is evaluated and the measurement precision for the pile driving is presented. The DPRMs is a visual-measurement system for the pile rebound and the penetration movement using a high speed line-scan camera. But the measurement errors of the DPRMs are caused by the strong impact for the pile driving. Therefore, the DPRMs should guarantee its measurement values for the pile driving. For this reason, the performance of the DPRMs by the vibration signal analysis is studied. It is found from this study that the measurement values of the DPRMs are reliable.

This paper presents a new algorithm of optimal measurement system by using band matrix characteristic respectively for state estimation. A performance index of measurement system is established to reflect relation among measurement sets, probability of measurement failure and cost of individual meter installation. Selection ranking in the candidates of measurement sets is composed to guarantee the observability for any any single meter outage. Performance index sensitivity is introduced and recursive formula which based on the matrix inversion lemma used for selection. The proposed algorithm is composed of successive addition algorithm, successive elimination algorithm and combinatorial algorithm. The band matrix characteristic could save in memory requirements and calculate the performance index faster than earlier.

In this paper, an experimental study was conducted on the energy efficiency ratio of performance for air source heat pump. The energy efficiency ratio presents the operating efficiency of heat pump performance. In order to improve reliability in the energy efficiency ratio test of air source heat pump, the measurement uncertainty of the instrument was estimated. Measurement uncertainty refers to the uncertainty of a measurement, estimates the range in which the expected value of the measurement can be within a certain confidence level, and suggests a range in which the measured representative value is incorrect. The measurement uncertainty for the energy efficiency ratio test of air source heat pump was calculated and the measured results were presented.

CII BM&M(Benchmarking & Metrics) in USA and DTI(Department of Trade and Industry) in UK have built up systems that enable performance measuring and made the results of performance measurement comparable between projects to utilize them as benchmarking tools. By comparing the results of performance measurement, it is possible to grasp the success level of project management and to establish the direction of management. However, construction projects are much diversified and even those projects with the same work type have different attributes. Therefore, simply comparing the results of project performance measurement without considering the characteristics of projects is not justifiable and affects the reliability of the benchmarking results. Therefore, to solve this problem, this study presents a methodology that makes it possible to compare the individual construction projects considering various characteristics. The benefits and importance of project characteristics to overall project performance will be quantitatively expressed and they will be reflected on the results of performance management. By maximally converting multiple projects with different characteristics into the same projects through a new methodology to convert different projects into the same level utilizing such utility-bases and comparing the performances of those projects, project performance results can be utilized in project management as a tool for more accurate decision making and as a robust benchmarking tool.

In order to plan and manage public facilities effectively and efficiently, it is necessary to diagnose the current status of facilities and decide the objective features. Performance measurement is to provide managers with the information they need to measure competitive advantages. This paper discusses public facility performance in order to establish the conceptual framework for performance measurement for public facilities. In order to develop the measurement of public facility performance, a pilot study was conducted with facilities managers of facilities management corporation of public districts in Seoul. We investigated how public facilities management teams have assessed their performance and collected data regarding financial aspects, service aspects, community aspects, and building aspects. There is no standard format to measure facility performance since building sizes, programs, community needs widely differ. However, it is necessary to have a more consistent system to measure facility performance. In addition, each public municipal district needs to empower each district facilities management corporation to participate in managerial decisions and budget control.

This paper examines the global supply chain management strategy and business performance of Doolee Vision Co. Ltd.. Based on the analysis of eighty-seven cases, the following results were found. First, it was found that just-in-time of GSCM strategy of firm have a positive influences on the business performance in transformation sector. Second, just-in-time of GSCM strategy of firm have a positive influences on the business performance in custody sector. Third, just-in-time of GSCM strategy of firm have a positive influences on the business performance in order response and support sector. Forth, just-in-time of GSCM strategy of firm have a positive influences on the business performance in customs sector. Fifth, just-in-time of GSCM strategy of firm have a positive influences on the business performance in customer service sector. However, several limitations, such as measurement for intra-industry homogeneity, measurement for flexibility of global supply chain management strategy, and measurement for business performance of global supply chain management, that make the preceding conclusions be considered preliminary.

Load measurement, which is performed based on IEC 61400-13, consists of three stages: the stage of collecting huge amounts of load measurement data through a measurement campaign lasting for several months; the stage of processing the measured data, including data validation and classification; and the stage of analyzing the processed data through time series analysis, load statistics analysis, frequency analysis, load spectrum analysis, and equivalent load analysis. In this research, we pursued the development of an analysis software in MATLAB to save labor and to secure exact and consistent performance evaluation data in processing and analyzing load measurement data. The completed analysis software also includes the functions of processing and analyzing power performance measurement data in accordance with IEC 61400-12. The analysis software was effectively applied to process and analyse the load measurement data from a demonstration research for a 750 kW direct-drive wind turbine generator system (KBP-750D), performed at the Daegwanryeong Wind Turbine Demonstration Complex. This paper describes the details of the analysis software and its processing and analysis stages for load measurement data and presents the analysis results.

We have recognized that an organization should be viewed from a multifaceted perspective necessitating a sophisticated analytical and systematic approach to monitor and improve organizational performance. Although some performance measurement systems have been proposed and are currently being used in many organizations, no performance measurement system has presented a mechanism for integrating all of the information of performance measures in a way that considers relationships between them. This paper introduces the implementation of the performance information integration method(PIIM) which synthesizes all useful information of performance measures with consideration of the relationship and generates a single, global, organizational performance score. The PIIM was empirically validated by implementing in one of missouri Veterans Homes.

본 연구에서는 대학도서관 정보봉사시스템의 성과를 측정하기 위하여 선행연구 문헌조사를 통하여 도서관 이용, 문헌자료 대출, 참고봉사 및 이용자교육, 전자서비스 등 4개 영역에 16개 성과측정을 위한 지표를 개발하고 이를 바탕으로 대규모, 중규모, 소규모 대학도서관을 각각 2개 기관씩 모두 6개 기관을 조사하였다. 조사된 결과를 바탕으로 지표의 의미와 활용 방안 및 정보봉사시스템의 성과 향상을 위한 방안을 제시하였다.
