A Position and Velocity Detection of mobile objects using the PDOA(Phase Difference of Arriving) (위상차(PDOA)를 이용한 이동체 위치 및 속도 검지)

  • This paper proposes a new position detection method for train speed control using the PDOA(Phase Difference of Arrival). This method aims to apply to AGT(Automated Guide way Transit) systems, operated with driverless. So it is absolutely required to range, calculate and decide a train position precisely. This system consists of VRS (Vehicle Radio Set) and WRS(Wayside Radio Set). The VRS transmits a wireless signal to the WRS, the controller calculate a straight line with the PDOA. Next step calculate an exact position using track DB. This paper includes the concept, configuration, analysis and results of this method.

  • This paper proposes a new position detection method for train speed control using the Phase Difference of Arriving. This method aims to apply to Automated Guide-way Transit systems, to be operated without driver. So it is absolutely required to range, calculate and decide a train position precisely. This system consists of Vehicle Radio Set(VRS) and Wayside Radio Set(WRS). The VRS transmits a wireless signal to the WRS and the controller calculate a straight line and curve line with Phase Difference of Arriving(PDOA) and an exact position using track date-base is calculated at next step.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new direction finding(DF) technology using TDOA(time-difference of arrival) and PDOA(phase difference of arriving signal) method. The proposed technology has a good DF accuracy without DF ambiguity. TDOA or PDOA technology is used to the most of intelligence systems in 21 century. The principle of TDOA is to receive a signal with two parallel antennas, measure the time difference of arrival signal, and converse the time difference to the direction of incident signal. Those technology make a DF system small size but the DF accuracy is low into short antenna installation distance. The principle of PDOA is similar to TDOA except measuring the phase difference of arrival signal, These technology get a good DF accuracy in short antenna installation distance but have a DF ambiguity. The proposed DF method is simulated into DF system operation environment with noise, and has a good DF accuracy.

  • TOA(Time of Arrival) 및 TDOA(Time Difference of Arrival)경우 무선국의 시간동기화를 위해서 고도의 기술을 요구하고 있으며, 시간동기오차에 따른 위치검지의 정밀도가 낮아지는 문제가 있어 이를 극복하기 위하여 위상차(PDOA)를 이용한 새로운 열차검지기법의 제안에 따른 구현을 위하여 H/W의 설계에 대하여 기술하고자 한다 본 시스템은 전과의 전달 속도($\lambda$)를 응용하여 기준 주파수인 1.5MHz를 송신 시스템과 수신 시스템의 기준 주파수와 비교하여 그 위상의 차이를 비교하여 지연된 시간을 구한 후 이를 거리로 환산하는 시스템으로서 H/W와 S/W로 구분하여 구현 $\cdot$ 설계되는데 본 논문에서는 H/W설계에 대하여 기숙하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose a method and condition of locating the position of an object in one dimension by using the phase difference of arrival(PDOA), To get a phase difference, the comparator of a wayside radio station(WRS) compares the reference signal with the received signal, Therefore, we can locate the position of a moving object. Finally, by using the simulation of a computer we analyze their values.

  • Accurate and reliable tracking of train is essential for the train control system. The fixed block system which utilizes track circuit has been used widely for the detection of train position. As an alternative, the moving block system has the advantage over the fixed block system since it enables shorter headway and easier maintenance. This paper presents a new technique for the train tracking system which uses radio signal for the train position detection. The proposed algorithm uses the phase difference of arrival of radio signal for the detection of train position. Experimental verification of the algorithm is presented in the paper.
