With the explosive growth of Note-PC and Desktop monitor market, TFT LCD market confronted a entire supply shortage during 1999. Forecasting a more booming stage for the next several years, many TFT-LCD panel manufacturers continue to expand the capacity of their existing plants and also make an additional investment in building new plants. The new investment is concentrated on the $4^{th}$ generation TFT LCD line in order to improve investment efficiency. The set up of the Samsung's Gen 3.5 line progressed with satisfactorily performance using $600{\times}720mm$ glass size. We have continuously reviewed several issues regarding the glass size for our next Gen. 4 line, which leads to adopt $730{\times}920mm$. Due to the continuous enlargement of a substrate size and following difficulty in transferring cassettes, the next line is expected to be the last line that employs "cassette transfer". The layout of the next line will shift from conventional "concentration-type" to "separation-type" configuration for the purpose of reducing transfer distance as well as transfer time. The details will be discussed in this paper.

The Cdl-xZnxTe film was fabricated by thermal evaporation for the flat-panel X-ray detector. The stoichimetric ratio and the crystal structure of a polycrystalline Cd$_{1-x}$ Zn$_{x}$Te were investigated by EPMA and XRD, respectively. The leakage current and X-ray sensitivity of the fabricated films were measured to analyze the X-ray response characteristic of Zn in the polycrystalline CdZnTe thin film. The leakage current and the output charge density of Cd$_{0.7}$Zn$_{0.3}$Te thin film were measured to 0.37 nA/cm$^2$ and 260 pc/cm$^2$ at an applied voltage of 2.5 V/${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, respectively. Experimental results showed that the increase of Zn doping rates in Cd$_{1-x}$ Zn$_{x}$Te detectors reduced the leakage current and improved the signal to noise ratio significantly.

Demographic transition drives changes in consumer demand for food products. This study examines how rising incomes and population trends affect spending on food purchased for home. The objective of this study is to characterize the relationships between selected socio-demographic factors and food selection among South Korean households. Panel data from Rural Development Administration (RDA) in South Korea in 2010 was used (n=971). Household food purchases were classified into one of the five food groups from Composition of Foods of RDA. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the effects of household size and income based on the expenditure share on each food group. All statistical analyses were performed using SAS/ PC version 9.3. Results show that household socio- demographic characteristics have a strong influence on food purchasing, with the purchase of vegetables and fruit, and processed food and pre-packaged being particularly sensitive.

In this paper, we propose a poll system on the interned. This poll system makes use of APM which are useful in web and PC using for a server. These tools are all free to obtain, so we can construct this system with the minimum computing environment and the minimum cost. We mention merits and demerits about interned survey and propose how to overcome using this system, and utilize web log data to get an additional information of panel. Finally, we suggest extensibilities of internet survey and the proposed system

Large size poly-Si TFT-LCDs have been fabricated using p-channel thin film transistors for notebook PC application. We have designed and implemented the data sampling circuit and gate drivers that operate with low power consumption and high reliability. The gate driver has a redundant structure. We have realized the uniform and excellent display quality comparable to that of CMOS module. The reliability of panel is investigated and discussed by measuring the bias stability of transistors.

Recently, the demands of the high quality LCD display device have increased. We have developed the smart LCD that photo sensor is integrated in. Amorphous silicon TFTs have photo leakage current characteristics when the channel of TFTs are lighted on. This characteristic has applied in our device. We expect that photo sensor integrated LCDs have lots of merits in mobile display device, note PC panel and LCD TV.

MMI 시스템은 제철 공정에서 발생되는 다양한 데이터를 조업자에게 쉽고 빠르게 전달하기 위해, real time operating system에서 동작하는 제철공정의 주된 제어 프로세스와 인터페이스 한다. 따라서 MMI 시스템은 제철 공정의 주된 제어 프로세스와 ethernet network을 통해 공유 데이터들을 통신하도록 개발되고, MMI 시스템은 M/S window operating system과 DDE(Dynamic Data Exchange) 라이브러리 환경을 기반으로 개발된다. 수 개의 MMI client PC와 1 개의 MMI server로 구성되는 MMI 시스템은 MMI client들 사이의 공유 데이터가 동기화될 수 있도록 최적 packet 양을 도출하고, 신뢰성 높은 데이터 전송을 위한 특별한 데이터 핸들링 방법을 사용한다. MMI 시스템은 GUI(Graphic User Interface)를 사용하여 조업자에게 친숙한 window 화면을 제공하므로, MMI 시스템의 화면 수정, 첨가 및 삭제가 비용 부담없이 용이하게 진행되므로, 기존 제철 공정에서 사용하던 OCP(Operating Control Panel)들이 MMI 시스템으로 대체되고 있다.

This paper explains the study of controller design applied to SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) concept. This controller executes controller algorithms via ${\mu}$-processor to increase stability and precise measurement, and VHDL (Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language) is designed to generate SRM driving signal. During initial period, SRM controller was designed to control .respective target RPM (Revolution per minutes) and PR (Proportional Integral Differential) coming from the PC(Personal Computer) monitor program, and receiving clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation signal and target RPM coming from the front panel, and receiving the location of rotational element and RPM generating from the position censor during activation period.

The purpose of this paper, having chosen the connection method, filled by High-strength mortar, in conncetion of PC member, is to study the mechanical behaviour and practical usage of the method. The paper estimates the connection ability of Reinforced-bar, that is, Sleeve considering the effect of Reinforced-bar's dimeter. Sleeve's length and diameter in the structural behaviour of mortar-filled connection, therefore the behaviour of Splice-Sleeve exists in concrete practically. This paper discusses the effect of the concrete in Splice-Sleeve. Also, to estimate structural behaviour in a practical wall panel, the upper and bottom wall panels are produced and the behaviour of Splice-Sleeve is discussed. And then Vertical Tie Bar being designed by using Precast method, this paper presents the various application and the practicable method using Splice-Sleeve.

This study discusses spalling and fire enduring performance of high performance concrete (HPC) RC column subjected to loading under heating for 3 hours. According to the test, both the plain concrete and the concrete attached with fire enduring PC panel exceed allowable temperature after 60 minutes due to the exposure of steel bar and falling off of concrete resulting from severe spalling failure. It leads to buckling of main bar and at the same time, occurrence of collapse of plain HPC column member is observed after 2 hours and 1 hour 40 minutes's exposure to fire, respectively. On the other hand, HPC applying both PP fiber of 0.1$\%$ by mass of concrete and PP fiber+lateral confinement by metal lath maintains their original cross section, which is satisfied with the 3 hours fire endurance criteria, by discharging internal vapour pressure and enhanced lateral confinement force.
