PBL통합교과과정에서 학습한 간호학생의 문제중심학습 효과 (The Effects of Problem Based Learning(PBL) in Nursing Students Studying through PBL Curriculum)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research was to evaluate the effects of Problem-Based Learning(PBL) in nursing students. Method: Data was collected from 70 junior nursing students who studied through PBL curriculum from C college, by 3 times from August to December 2005. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 10.0. Results: There were no statistically significant improvement in study related characteristics; appropriateness to nursing, interest in nursing knowledge, interest in clinical practicum and evaluation PBL learning course; satisfied with teaching content, satisfied with teaching method, and self-confidence in nursing. But there were statistically significant improvement in metacognition, self efficacy and learning motivation. Conclusion: Based on above results further research should be doing about subject of diverse nursing students who are studying PBL, development of PBL practice package and evaluation it's effects, and exploration to many elements that influenced evaluation PBL learning course.

성찰일지에 기초한 간호학생의 문제중심학습 경험 (Perception about Problem-based Learning in Reflective Journals among Undergraduate Nursing Students)

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to explore the variation in perceptions about problem-based learning(PBL) according to the level of academic achievement and learning attitude in the nursing students of a junior college (3-year program). Method: Students (n=39) learned the respiratory and cardiac system with seven PBL packages and group-based learning for a semester in 2002. Students were asked to write reflective journals that focused on their learning perception after an experience with each learning package. A total of 208 journals were used for analysis. Result: Students positively perceived that PBL making them increase their sense of responsibility for learning and felt satisfaction with the learning process, and had a confidence in the use of clinical nursing interventions. On the other hand, they negatively perceived that PBL was a burden because it took more time than traditional learning tasks, and they experienced an anxiety about regular tests and felt conflicts and diffidences in the learning process. The negative perceptions were expressed more often from students with a low academic achievement and low learning attitude compared to others. Conclusion: Students perceived the PBL as effective in understanding the learning concepts in the clinical practice environment. PBL/S-PBL 패키지 평가도구 개발 및 평가 : 보건계열(학)과와 간호(학)과를 중심으로 (Development and Evaluation Frameworks for PBL/S-PBL Packages: in the case of the Dept. in Allied Health Professionals and Nursing)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 PBL/S-PBL에 사용되는 패키지(교재)를 측정할 수 있는 타당하고 신뢰할 수 있는 평가도구를 개발하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 실현하기 위해 문헌 고찰을 통하여 PBL 및 S-PBL 패키지를 측정하는 도구의 3항목 15문항의 예비문항들을 만들었다. 예비문항을 대학의 교수 9인의 전문가를 통해 내용타당도를 검증하여 PBL은 14문항, S-PBL은 15문항으로 구성하였다. 개발된 평가도구의 구성 타당도 검증을 위하여 요인분석을 하였다. PBL은 동기부여 3항목, 통합성 7항목, 체계성 4항목, 총 14항목으로, S-PBL은 동기부여 4항목, 통합성 6항목, 체계성 5항목, 총 15항목으로 이루어진 평가도구가 제시되었으며 Cronbach's $\alpha$계수가 PBL은 0.9112, S-PBL은 0.9166으로 적절한 신뢰도를 갖는 평가도구로 검증되었다.

  • Obiectives : The purpose of this study was to develop PBL packages geared toward improving the problem-solving abilities, self-directed learning capabilities and communicative competency of dental hygienists, which were all required for dental hygienists to have in the dental field. Methods : After three PBL packages for a semester of oral health education were developed, the PBL packages were evaluated by an expert to determine what improvements should be made. Results : The findings of the study were as follows. The three PBL packages were based on real clinical situations and designed to have a different degree of difficulty and provide problems in the form of scenario for learners to solve in a self-directed manner. When the packages were assessed by an expert, the packages were expected to make a contribution to the improvement of the three different abilities on which this study focused, and the packages were found to be appropriate in general in terms of learning content and field applicability, though they needed some modifications. Thus, this study attempted to develop PBL packages and let an expert assess the packages in order to give some suggestions about the development of PBL packages. The packages developed in this study are expected to help boost the problem-solving abilities, self-directed learning capabilities and communicative competency of dental hygienists, which should all be possessed by dental hygienists in the dental field. Moreover, the packages were found to be conducive to the introduction of PBL in the field of dental hygiene. Conclusions : To ensure the successful application of the packages, dental hygiene students should be provided with the packages in situations similar to real clinical situations, and they should have an opportunity to practice dental hygiene duties.

전구 모델의 물리과정에 따른 태풍 모의 민감도 (Sensitivity of Typhoon Simulation to Physics Parameterizations in the Global Model)

  • The sensitivity of the typhoon track and intensity simulation to physics schemes of the global model are examined for the typhoon Bolaven and Tembin cases by using the Global/Regional Integrated Model System-Global Model Program (GRIMs-GMP) with the physics package version 2.0 of the Korea Institute of Atmospheric Prediction Systems. Microphysics, Cloudiness, and Planetary boundary Layer (PBL) parameterizations are changed and the impact of each scheme change to typhoon simulation is compared with the control simulation and observation. It is found that change of microphysics scheme from WRF Single-Moment 5-class (WSM5) to 1-class (WSM1) affects to the typhoon simulation significantly, showing the intensified typhoon activity and increased precipitation amount, while the effect of the prognostic cloudiness and PBL enhanced mixing scheme is not noticeable. It appears that WSM1 simulates relatively unstable and drier atmospheric structure than WSM5, which is induced by the latent heat change and the associated radiative effect due to not considering ice cloud. And WSM1 results the enhanced typhoon intensity and heavy rainfall simulation. It suggests that the microphysics is important to improve the capability for typhoon simulation of a global model and to increase the predictability of medium range forecast.
