With fast deployment of high-speed networks and various online services, the demand for massive content distribution is also growing fast. An approach that is increasingly visible in communication research community and in industry domain is peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. The P2P swarming technique enables a content distribution system to achieve higher throughput, avoid server or network overload, and be more resilient to failure and traffic fluctuation. Moreover, as a P2P-based architecture pushed the computing and bandwidth cost toward the network edge, it allows scalability to support a large number of subscribers on a global scale, while imposing little demand for equipment on the content providers. However, the P2P swarming burdens message exchange overheads on the system. In this paper, we propose a new protocol which provides confidentiality, authentication, integrity, and access control to P2P swarming. We implemented a prototype of our protocol on Android smart phone platform. We believe our approach can be straightforwardly adapted to existing commercial P2P content distribution systems with modest modifications to current implementations.
We consider the Hyers-Ulam type stability of the Cauchy, Jensen, Pexider, Pexider-Jensen differences: $$(0.1){\hspace{55}}C(u):=u{\circ}A-u{\circ}P_1-u{\circ}P_2,\\(0.2){\hspace{55}}J(u):=2u{\circ}\frac{A}{2}-u{\circ}P_1-u{\circ}P_2,\\(0.3){\hspace{18}}P(u,v,w):=u{\circ}A-v{\circ}P_1-w{\circ}P_2,\\(0.4)\;JP(u,v,w):=2u{\circ}\frac{A}{2}-v{\circ}P_1-w{\circ}P_2$$, with respect to bounded distributions.
Let p be a prime number, $Q_{p}$ the field of p-adic numbers, K a finite extension of $Q_{p}$, $\bar{K}}$ a fixed algebraic closure of K and $C_{p}$ the completion of K with respect to the p-adic valuation. Let E be a closed subfield of $C_{p}$, containing K. Given elements $t_1$...,$t_{r}$$\in$ E for which the field K($t_1$...,$t_{r}$) is dense in E, we construct integral bases of E over K.

In this report, we describe the use of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) immobilized on pH. responsive, cross-linked poly(4-vinylpyridine) (P4VP) thin films, as a potential application for pH nanosensors. The methodology is based on the variation in surface plasmon resonance of immobilized AuNPs with changing the interparticle distances, caused by the swelling/deswelling of the pH responsive P4VP polymer films. The change in optical properties of the immobilized AuNPs in response to the pH of surrounding media was investigated by a simple yet powerful tool; UV-vis absorption spectroscopy. The swelling of the P4VP chains at pH 2 causes an increase in the interparticle distances of immobilized AUNPS ($\sim20nm$) and hence leads to a blue shift of 48 nm in their surface plasmon resonance band peak. On the other hand, when the surrounding media was altered from pH 2 to 10, a red shift of absorption maxima was observed. The changes were rapid, and the effect was reversible. This system could prove to be useful in fabricating nanosensors for detecting the pH or pH changes of surrounding aqueous medium.
In a super-peer based P2P network, The network is clustered and each cluster is managed by a special peer, called a super-peer which has information of all peers in its cluster. This clustered P2P model is known to have efficient information search and less traffic load. In this paper, we first estimate the message traffic cost caused by peer's query, join and update actions within a cluster as well as between the clusters and with these values, we present the optimal number of super-peers that minimizes the traffic cost for the various size of super-peer based P2P networks.rks.
In this paper, we propose a P4P based P2P system for live multimedia streaming services. In order to satisfy the strict requirement of delay in live multimedia streaming, in the proposed scheme, the P4P server of network provider provides the network status information related to delay and congestion links to P2P system in addition to the information to optimize the network resource utilization. The P2P system server, then, makes the peering suggestion based on the information from the network server. Also, we propose a playback synchronization mechanism that enable each peer to start the playback within the limited variation from the playback positions of source peer. Through the simulation results, it is shown that the proposed scheme not only deals with the original objective of the P4P framework, i.e., effective network utilization, but also the live multimedia streaming requirements. It enhances the playback continuity, and reduces the playback start-up latency and the control overhead. In addition, the proposed scheme reduces the variation in playback positions of the peers.
Let P be a finite poset and let $\mid$P$\mid$ be the number of vertices in pp. A subposet of P is a subset of P with the induced order. A chain C in P is a subposet of P which is a linear order. The length of the chain C is $\mid$C$\mid$ - 1. A linear extension of a poset P is a linear order $L = x_1, x_2, \ldots, x_n$ of the elements of P such that $x_i < x_j$ is P implies i < j. Let L(P) be the set of all linear extensions of pp. E. Szpilrajn [5] showed that L(P) is not empty.
The purpose of this study was to determine pH value of some alcoholic drinks sold in Korea and to provide the basic information which can cause dental erosion. Alcoholic drinks commercially sold were purchased from various big markets in Korea. The sorts of drinks tested in this study consisted of 5 brands of beers, 24 brands of makgeollis, 9 brands of wines and 12 brands of sojus. The test groups were selected randomly and the pH of each beverage was determined using a pH meter he each pH was measured. For statistical data, Mann-Whitney test was used to analyze difference for red wine and white wine and Kruskal-Wallis test was used to compare the pH of each test group. The result of this study was as followings: the mean pH of 5 brands of beers was 4.21, that of 24 brands of makgeollis 3.88, of 9 brands of wines 3.34 and of 12 brans of sojus 7.86. Each test group was significantly different (p<0.05). Except for soju groups, the test groups had a low pH value which can cause dental erosion. In terms of comparing between pH value of red wine and white wine, the result of this study represented that the mean pH of red wine was 3.45 and that of white wine was 3.21. This result showed the pH of two kinds of wine had a low pH which can lead to dental erosion and the difference of two wine were significantly different (p<0.05). As a result, some drinks sold in Korea have a high erosive potential on teeth since they have a comparatively low pH expect soju. Hence, when we consume some kinds of alcoholic drinks, we make sure to remember that the alcoholics which had a low pH, can have an effect on dental erosion that mean we should avoid to drink some alcoholic drinks with low pH for long time.
Mobile P2P(Peer-to-Peer) protocols in MANET(mobile ad-hoc networks) have gained much attention recently. Existing P2P protocols can be categorized into structured and unstructured ones. In MANET, structured P2P protocols show large control traffic because they does not consider the locality of P2P data and unstructured P2P protocols have a scalability problem with respect to the number of nodes. Hybrid P2P protocols combine advantages of the structured and unstructured P2P protocols. Cluster-based P2P protocol is one of the hybrid P2P protocols. Our study makes an analysis of the cluster-based P2P protocol and derives the optimal cluster formation in MANET. In the derived optimal cluster formation, the cluster-based P2P protocol shows better performance than Gnutella protocol with respect to control traffic.
Peer-to-peer (P2P) lending is an open marketplace for loans not from bank but from individuals online. Financial transactions are facilitated directly between individuals ("peers") without any intermediation of a traditional financial institution. A market study by renowned research company forecasts that P2P lending will grow very fast and a couple of P2P lending sites in Korea also are getting attentions by providing the alternative financial services. In P2P lending market, Lender will enjoy higher income generated from the loans in the form of interest than interest that can be earned by financial products provided by official financial institutions. Furthermore, lenders are able to decide who they would lend the money for themselves. Meanwhile, borrowers with low credit scores are able to finance their liquidity requirement with low cost and convenient access to the Internet. The objective of this paper is to introduce P2P lending and its issues of information asymmetry. We provide the insights from the case study of one of P2P lending sites in Korea and review the issues in P2P lending market as research topics. Specifically, information asymmetry issues in both traditional financial institutions and P2P lending are discussed.
