A Practical Tuning Method of Dual-Input PSS and its Application to Large Power System (다중-입력 PSS의 실제적인 튜닝 방법과 대형 전력 시스템에의 적용)

  • This paper describes the practical tuning method of dual-input PSS and its application to Muju P/P #2 with Proto PSS, which is based on DSP technology and uses both frequency and power. First, the model parameters of generator system used in this paper have been derived from the generator characteristic testing. Then, in the selection of PSS parameters, the Bode plot is plotted in order to tune the PSS's time constants which are able to compensate the phase lagging due to generator and excitation system. In addition, the eigenvalue analysis is also performed for determining a reliable PSS gain, $K_{s}$. Finally, the transient stability program has been utilized to verify the safe operation of Proto PSS against the predictable disturbances such as the AVR-step test and generator unloading test. In on-site test, the simulated results have been identically duplicated by implementing AVR step test in Muju P/P #2 with Proto PSS, which has the previously designed PSS parameters.s.

  • 최근 다양한 거대 언어모델(Large Language Model)들이 개발되면서 프롬프트 엔지니어링의 대한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 퓨삿 학습 환경에서 개체명 인식의 성능을 높이기 위해서 제안된 템플릿이 필요 없는 프롬프트 튜닝(Template-free Prompt Tuning) 방법을 이용하고, 이 방법에서 사용된 라벨 단어 집합 생성 방법에 Maximal Marginal Relevance 알고리즘을 적용하여 해당 개체명에 대해 보다 다양하고 구체적인 라벨 단어 집합을 생성하도록 개선하였다. 실험 결과, 'LOC' 타입을 제외한 나머지 개체명 타입에서 'PER' 타입은 0.60%p, 'ORG' 타입은 4.98%p, 'MISC' 타입은 1.38%p 성능이 향상되었고, 전체 개체명 인식 성능은 1.26%p 향상되었다. 이를 통해 본 논문에서 제안한 라벨 단어 집합 생성 기법이 개체명 인식 성능 향상에 도움이 됨을 보였다.

  • Servo system has commonly adapted PI controller with fixed gains, because of its simplicity and determinative relationship among the parameters. The fixed gains PI system may be applied well to some operation conditions, but not non-linearities, complex and time variant operation conditions. For solving these problems, another conventional method, 'variable gun schedule according to speed', is published. The value of gain is determined according to the absolute value of the mover real speed. In this paper, FSTPIC(Fuzzy Self-Tuning PI Controller) is proposed based on various experiences to rapidly reduce speed error and to secure a good speed response characteristics. The effectiveness of proposed algorithms is demonstrated by comparing to two conventional gain systems via 4-quadrant operation.

  • In this paper, fuzzy-neural network is proposed to identify the Activated Sludge Process(A.S.P) in sewage treatment such as "IF-THEN" type fuzzy rules and using various learning methods and improved complex method, the performance index of the identified model is improved. The proposed FNN has the neural network structure of which the connection weights have particular meanings for obtaining fuzzy inference rules and for tuning membership functions. And based on the identified model, graphic simulator which can analize nonlinear characteristics of A.S.P and generate control strategy for A.S.P is being developed.developed.

  • We have reduced the oscillating linewidth of the commercial single mode InGaAsP visible laser diodes which emits in the 657 nm region of the spectrum down to 10 MHz by making a extended cavity employing the Littrow-type grating. The wavelength tuning characteristics of the commercial visible laser diode (CQL820D, Philips Co.) for the grating angle, laser temperature, and injection currents were measured by using the wavemeter. The proportional coefficients of the laser were found to be 1 THzlmrad, 32.4 GHz/K, and 6.14 GHz/mA, respectively.tively.

Effects of Drinking Motives on Binge Drinking of University Students (대학생의 음주동기가 문제음주에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze effects of drinking motives on binge drinking and the difference between male and female students. Methods: A survey was conducted for 500 college students in three towns in Gang-won Province. Frequency analysis was used for demographic item and group regression analysis for effects of drinking motives on binge drinking. Results: Sub-factor-uplift motives, social motives, coping motives and tuning motives were analyzed. It was found that uplift motives, social motives and coping motives influenced binge drinking significantly(p<0.001). But tuning motives had no significant effect. Also for male students, uplift motives affected binge drinking significantly(p<0.001) whereas female students were not affected by it. In contrast, social motives had an influence on binge drinking significantly (0<0.001) for female students while it didn't affect male students. Coping motives affected both male and female students on binge drinking by p<0.001. Conclusions: College students' drinking motives had a significant influence on binge drinking, and since it is reported that there is difference between male and female student group, a guideline and education for drinking regarding gender difference is needed for the establishment of desirable drinking culture for college students.

PDSO tuning of PFC-SAC fault tolerant flight control system

  • In the design of flight control systems there are issues that deserve special consideration and attention such as external perturbations or systems failures. A Simple Adaptive Controller (SAC) that does not require a-priori knowledge of the faults is proposed in this paper with the aim of realizing a fault tolerant flight control system capable of leading the pitch motion of an aircraft. The main condition for obtaining a stable adaptive controller is the passivity of the plant; however, since real systems generally do not satisfy such requirement, a properly defined Parallel Feedforward Compensator (PFC) is used to let the augmented system meet the passivity condition. The design approach used in this paper to synthesize the PFC and to tune the invariant gains of the SAC is the Population Decline Swarm Optimization ($P_DSO$). It is a modification of the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) technique that takes into account a decline demographic model to speed up the optimization procedure. Tuning and flight mechanics results are presented to show both the effectiveness of the proposed $P_DSO$ and the fault tolerant capability of the proposed scheme to control the aircraft pitch motion even in presence of elevator failures.

  • This paper deals with speed control of DC servo motor using a Fuzzy tuning observer. Speed sensor detect a speed of rotor continuously. But it have a limit as a driving speed to detect speed precisely. So it is problem to improve the performance of the driving system. To solve the problem, it is studied to detect a speed of DC motor without sensor. In particular, study on the method to estimate the speed using the observer is performed a lot. In this parer, the gain of the observer is properly set up using the fuzzy observer. The fuzzy observer has a superior transient characteristic and is easy to implement compared the existing method is designed. It estimate the derivative of the armature current directly using the armature current measured in the DC motor. It estimate the speed of the rotor using the differentiation. It is proposed speed sensorless control method using the estimated speed. Optimal gain of Luenberger observer is set up using the fuzzy observer and adapted speed control of DC servo motor low speed operation. It is proved excellence and feasibility of the presented observer from the comparison tested a case with a speed sensor and a case without a speed sensor which used a highly efficient drive and 200W DC servo motor starting system.

  • In this paper proposed to Neural network PI self-tuning direct controller using Error back propagation algorithm. Proposed controller applies to speed controller and current controller. Also, this built up the interface environment to drive it simply and exactly in any kind of reference, environment fluent and parameter transaction of BLDC motor. Neural network PI self-tuning simulator using Visual C++ and Matlab Simulation is organized to construct this environment. Built-u-p interface has it's own purpose that even the user who don't have the accurate knowledge of neural network can embody operation characteristic rapidly and easily.

  • PID(Proportional, Integral, Derivative) controller is the most popular process controllers in nuclear power plants. The optimized parameter setting of the process controller contributes to the stable operation and the efficiency of the operating nuclear power plants. PID parameter setting is tuned when new process control systems are installed or current process control systems are changed. When the nuclear plant is shut down, a lot of PID tuning methods such as the Trial and Error method, Ultimate Oscillation method operation, Ziegler-Nichols method, frequency method are used to tune the PID values. But inadequate PID parameter setting can be the cause of the unstable process of the operating nuclear power plant. Therefore the results of PID parameter setting should be simulated, optimized and finally verified. This paper introduces the simulation method of PID tuning to optimize the PID parameter setting and confirms them of the actual PID controller in the operating nuclear power plants. The simulation method provides the accurate process modeling and optimized PID parameter setting of the multi-loop control process in particular.
