Surface penetrating sealant가 치경부 수복물의 미세누출에 미치는 영향 (EFFECT OF SURFACE PENETRATING SEALANT ON THE MICROLEAKAGE OF CERVICAL RESTORATIONS)

  • Despite the improvements in bond strengths of dentin adhesives and resin-modified glass ionomers, the marginal seal of cervical restorations remains a concern. Microleakage at poorly sealed margins can result in staining, post-operative sensitivity, pulpal irritation, and recurrent caries. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of surface penetrating sealant(SPS) on the microleakage of cervical restorations. 45 extracted human teeth were selected, and Class V preparations were prepared on the both buccal and lingual surface of the teeth to the following dimensions : 1.5mm axially, 3mm mesiodistally, and 3mm incisogingivally. After cervical restoration with composite resin, compomer, glass ionomer each restoration was treated as three methods: No Tx., Scotchbond Multipurpose Adhesive$^{\circledR}$, Fortify$^{\circledR}$. The sections were examined with a stereomicroscope to determine the extent of microleakage at enamel and dentin margins. The results of this study were as follows. 1. All groups showed some microleakage. 2. Gingival cavity wall with cementum margin showed significantly higher leakage value than occlusal cavity wall with enamel margin. 3. The group treated with SPS showed significantly lower leakage value than no treated group(p<0.05). But there is no difference between Fortify$^{\circledR}$ and Scotchbond Multipurpose adhesive$^{\circledR}$. The results of this study suggest that SPS are effective in reducing microleakage of class V restorations. But it is certain that some microleakage still occurred despite the application of SPS.

Evaluation of Mixtures of Certain Market Wastes as Silage

  • The aim of this study was to determine the usefulness of vegetable wastes as silage for ruminants. Varying amounts of wheat straw (WS), wheat bran (WB) and salt (S) were combined with minced vegetable wastes (VW) during ensilage. Seven different ingredient combinations were investigated viz: 100% VW (Group I, control), 90% VW+9% WS+1% S (Group II), 80% VW+15% WS+4% WB+1% S (Group III), 70% VW+20% WS+9% WB+1% S (Group IV), 90% VW+9% WB+1% S (Group V), 80% VW+15% WB+4% WS+1% S (Group VI) and 70% VW+20% WB+9% WS+1% S (Group VII). The inclusion of straw and bran increased (p<0.01) the DM content of silage. The highest contents of the pure silage were CP (p<0.001), EE (p<0.01) and NFE (p<0.05). NDF contents of VW silage and group V were significantly lower and especially the VW silage was found to have the lowest ADL content (p<0.01). The in vitro ME values of VW silage and bran added silage were higher than other groups (p<0.01). pH, lactic acid and acetic acid values of silage groups were changed between 4.09-4.20, 2.43-3.46% and 0.60-0.86%, respectively. In conclusion, different mixtures of VW have a high ensilage capacity and can serve as an alternative roughage source for ruminants. The addition of 9% bran significantly improved the silage in view of both dry matter content and nutritive value.

Co/Ti 이중막 실리사이드 접촉을 갖는 p$^{+}$-n 극저접합의 형성 (Formation of p$^{+}$-n ultra shallow junction with Co/Ti bilayer silicide contact)

  • Ultr shallow p$^{+}$-n junction with Co/Ti bilayer silicidde contact was formed by ion implantation of BF$_{2}$ [energy : (30, 50)keV, dose:($5{\times}10^{14}$, $5{\times}10^{15}$/$\textrm{cm}^2$] onto the n-well Si(100) region and by RTA-silicidation and post annealing of the evaporated Co(120.angs., 170.angs.)/Ti(40~50.angs.) double layer. The sheet resistance of the silicided p$^{+}$ region of the p$^{+}$-n junction formed by BF2 implantation with energy of 30keV and dose of $5{\times}10^{15}$/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and Co/Ti thickness of $120{\AA}$/(40~$50{\AA}$) was about $8{\Omega}$/${\box}$. The junction depth including silicide thickness of about $500{\AA}$ was 0.14${\mu}$. The fabricated p$^{+}$ -n ultra shallow junction depth including silicide thickness of about $500{\AA}$ was 0.14${\mu}$. The fabricated p$^{+}$-n ultra shallow junction with Co/Ti bilayer silicide contact did not show any agglomeration or variation of sheet resistance value after post annealing at $850^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes. The boron concentration at the epitaxial CoSi$_{2}$/Si interface of the fabricated junction was about 6*10$6{\times}10^{19}$ / $\textrm{cm}^2$./TEX>.

Low-Temperature Chemical Sintered TiO2 Photoanodes Based on a Binary Liquid Mixture for Flexible Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

  • A chemically sintered and binder-free paste of TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) was prepared using a binary-liquid mixture of 1-octanol and CCl4. The 1:1 (v/v) complex of CCl4 and 1-octanol easily interacted chemically with the TiO2 NPs and induced the formation of a highly viscous paste. The as-prepared binary-liquid paste (PBL)-based TiO2 film exhibited the complete removal of the binary-liquid and residuals with the subsequent low-temperature sintering (~150℃) and UV-O3 treatment. This facilitated the fabrication of TiO2 photoanodes for flexible dye-sensitized solar cells (f-DSSCs). For comparison purposes, pure 1-octanol-based TiO2 paste (PO) with moderate viscosity was prepared. The PBL-based TiO2 film exhibited strong adhesion and high mechanical stability with the conducting oxide coated glass and plastic substrates compared to the PO-based film. The corresponding low-temperature sintered PBL-based f-DSSC showed a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 3.5%, while it was 2.0% for PO-based f-DSSC. The PBL-based low- and high-temperature (500℃) sintered glass-based rigid DSSCs exhibited the PCE of 6.0 and 6.3%, respectively, while this value was 7.1% for a 500℃ sintered rigid DSSC based on a commercial (or conventional) paste.

세망내피증 바이러스 항체검출을 위한 ELISA 표준화 (Standardization of an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for detection of antibody to avian reticuloendotheliosis virus)

  • Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for detection of antibodies to reticuloendotheliosis virus (REV) at single serum dilution was standardized. REV HI, one of the Korean field isolates, was inoculated into chicken embryo fibroblast (CEF) cells and was harvested from the culture fluids and cells after 10 to 12 days. Viruses were purified by centrifugation at the $107,000{\times}g$ for 12 hours on 20, 30, 45% (W/V) sucrose gradient. Virus specific fraction was collected and used as ELISA antigen. To standardize ELISA, the optimal concentration of coating antigen ($1{\mu}g/well$) and conjugate (1/1000) was determined by corrected OD (OD value of positive serum-OD value of negative serum) and P/N ratio (OD value of positive serum/OD value of negative serum). To calculate ELISA titer by measuring absorbance at 1/400 single serum dilution, serum titrations were carried out for various sample sera together with standard positive and negative sera. The observed titers of serum samples were plotted against sample/positive (s/p) ratios at 1/400 serum dilution. From the above data, the ELISA titers could be calculated by the equation of $log_{10}$ ELISA titer = 2.2763 ($log_{10}$ s/p) + 3.482 (r = 0.93). For evaluating the sensitivity, the standardized method were compared with conventional agar gel immunodiffusion (AGID) test method using serum samples collected from REV infected field chicken flocks. Fifty seven of 60 samples (95%) were positive for REV by ELISA, whereas only 11 (18.3%) samples were positive by AGID test. This results suggested that the ELISA tests developed in this study could be used for detection of antibodies to REV with high sensitivity.

  • 한우(韓牛)의 round muscle에 papain을 처리(處理)하여 유연성(柔軟性) 관계(關係)를 penetrometer로 측정(測定)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. Penetrometer에 의하여 육(肉)의 유연성(柔軟性)을 측정(測定)하는 방법(方法)은 상관관계(相關關係)가 인정(認定)된다. (p<.05) 2. 효소(酵素) 처리(處理) 농도(濃度)의 증가(增加)에 따라 penetration value도 비례(比例)해서 증가(增加)하였다. 3. 근섬유(筋纖維)에 대해서 longitudinal section과 cross section의 penetration value는 현저한 차(差)가 인정(認定)되었다. 5. longitudinal section과 cross section 모두 0.05% 효소첨가(酵素添加)에서 유연성(柔軟性)의 증가율(增加率)이 가장 높았으며 0.1%의 효소(酵素) 첨가(添加)와는 유의차(有意差)가 인정(認定)되지 않았다.

CuPc: $F_4$-TCNQ 정공 수송층이 도입된 P-i-n형 유기 박막 태양전지의 성능 특성 연구 (Performance Characteristics of p-i-n Type Organic Thin-film Photovoltaic Cell with CuPc: $F_4$-TCNQ Hole Transport Layer)

  • 박막형 유기 태양전지의 성능 향상을 위하여 정공 수송층인 CuPc 층에 강한 p형 유기 반도체인 $F_4$-TCNQ을 도핑하여 ITO/PEDOT:PSS/CuPc: $F_4$-TCNQ(5wt%)/CuPc:C60 (blending ratio 1 : 1)/C60/BCP/LiF/Al의 이종 접합 구조를 가지는 P-i-n형 유기 박막형 태양전지 소자를 진공증착 장비를 이용하여 제조한 후, 유기 태양전지의 전류 밀도-전압(J-V) 특성, 단락 전류($J_{sc}$), 개방 전압($V_{oc}$), 충진 인자(fill factor: FF), 에너지 전환 효율(${\eta}_e$) 등을 측정하고 계산하여 성능 굉가를 수행하였다. CuPc 층에 $F_4$-TCNQ을 도핑함으로써 에너지 흡수 스펙트럼에서 흡수강도가 증가하였으며, $F_4$-TCNQ가 도핑된 CuPc 박막에서 $F_4$-TCNQ 유기 분자의 분산성 향상, 박막의 표면 균일성, 주입 전류(injection currents) 향상 효과등에 의해서 제조된 p-i-n형 유기 박막 태양전지의 성능이 향상되는 것으로 확인되었다. 제조된 유기 태양전지의 에너지 전환 효율(${\eta}_e$)은 0.15%로 실리콘 태양전지와 비교해서 아직도 성능 향상을 위한 많은 노력이 필요함을 보여 준다.

선형가속기의 다엽콜리메이터 형태에 따른 치료계획 비교 평가 (Comparison and Evaluation of radiotherapy plans by multi leaf collimator types of Linear accelerator)

  • 목 적 : 임상적으로 많이 시행하는 치료부위에 고차원 치료기법 적용 시 선형가속기에 장착된 다엽콜리메이터(Multi leaf collimator, MLC)의 형태가 치료계획에 미치는 영향을 연구해 보고자 한다. 대상 및 방법 : 본원에서 척추암, 폐암 정위적체부방사선치료(Stereotactic body radiation therapy, SBRT)를 받은 환자와 전립선암, 폐암, 두경부암, 전골반암, 유방암의 용적변조회전치료(Volumetric modulated arc therapy, VMAT)를 시행한 환자들을 부위별로 10명씩 총 70명 선정하였다. Truebeam STx(Varian Medical system, Palo Alto, CA)의 high definition MLC(HD MLC)와 Vitalbeam(Varian Medical system, Palo Alto, CA)에 장착된 millenium MLC(M MLC)를 사용하였고, 치료계획은 Eclipse(Version 13.7, Varian Palo Alto USA, CA)를 이용하여 동일한 조건으로 환자마다 각각 2개씩 수립하였다. MLC의 형태에 따른 치료계획을 평가하기 위해 PTV coverage, conformity index(CI), homogeneity index(HI)를 비교하였고, 정상조직은 각 부위별로 임상에서 사용하는 평가 지표를 분석하였으며, 정상조직에서 저 선량 영역을 비교하기 위하여 $V_{30%}$을 평가하였다. 추가적으로 각 부위별로 치료표적의 길이 및 체적을 조사하였다. 결 과 : PTV coverage는 HD MLC를 적용한 폐암 SBRT에서 평균선량이 0.52 %, 척추암 SBRT에서 평균 선량과 최대선량이 각각 0.68 %, 1.13 %로 M MLC에 비해 감소하였다. CI와 HI는 척추암 SBRT 치료계획에서 HD MLC가 1.144, 1.079로 M MLC의 1.160, 1.092 보다 낮은 수치를 나타냈다(p<0.05). 결정장기의 선량 평가는 폐암 SBRT 치료계획에서 치료받는 쪽 폐의 평균선량이 HD MLC에서 1.48 %로 낮아졌다. 전립선암 VMAT은 HD MLC를 적용한 치료계획에서 방광의 $V_{30}$과 평균선량이 0.53 %, 1.42 %, 직장의 $V_{25}$와 평균선량이 0.97 %, 0.69 %로 감소하였다(p<0.05). 유방암 VMAT은 오히려 HD MLC를 사용한 치료계획에서 심장의 평균선량이 0.83 %로 높아졌다. 다른 치료부위 평가지표들은 두 MLC를 적용한 치료계획 사이에 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다(p>0.05). 결 론 : 본 연구 결과 SBRT나 전립선암 VMAT과 같이 치료표적의 길이가 짧고 크기가 작은 경우 HD MLC를 사용하는 것이 PTV coverage 및 정상조직 보호 효과 면에서 다소 이점이 있는 것으로 나타났으나, 그 외 상대적으로 길고, 큰 폐암, 두경부암, 전골반암, 유방암 VMAT에서는 MLC의 형태가 치료계획에 미치는 영향은 크지 않았다.

Fermentative Quality of Guineagrass Silage by Using Fermented Juice of the Epiphytic Lactic Acid Bacteria (FJLB) as a Silage Additive

  • This experiment examined the characteristics of fermented juice of epiphytic lactic acid bacteria (FJLB) prepared by the addition of glucose, sucrose and molasses as a fermentation substrate. The effect of FJLB on the fermentative quality and changes in chemical composition during fermentation of guineagrass silage were also investigated. The pH value of the silages treated with FJLB rapidly decreased, and reached to the lowest value within 7 days of start of fermentation, as compared to the control. The number of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) in the treated silages increased for the first 3 days, thereafter the number of LAB declined gradually up to the end of the experiment. Silages treated with FJLB had larger populations of LAB than the control. Ammonia-nitrogen production increased throughout the ensiling period, which in the control and no-sugar added FJLB silages were higher than the other treated silages. Lactic acid levels varied with the time of ensiling and among the silage treatments. For any sugar FJLB treated silages, the lactic acid increased initially, and then slightly reduced to less than 50 g/kg of dry matter until 49 days after ensiling, except the silage treated with glucose added FJLB. Nevertheless, lactic acid content of the control decreased constantly from the beginning of ensiling and was not found after 35 days. Moreover, acetic acid content increased throughout the ensiling period. All the FJLB treated silages had significantly (p<0.05) lower pH and ammonia-nitrogen content, while significantly (p<0.05) higher lactic acid content and V-score value compared with the control. This study confirmed that the applying of FJLB with any sugar substrate improved fermentative quality of silage.

수종 도재 색조 선택 시스템의 spectrophotometer를 이용한 색조 재현성 평가 (THE REPRODUCIBILITY OF VARIOUS PORCELAIN COLOR SELECTION SYSTEMS USING SPECTROPHOTOMETRY)

  • Statement of problem: Shade selection has traditionally been accomplished by visual examination, which is particularly relevant to the shade selection of anterior teeth, but the subjective nature of visual analysis can lead to errors in shade matching. Recently shade selection systems have been developed to provide a more objective and scientific approach to understanding and clarifying shade selection. Purpose : The purpose of this study was analysis of various shade analyzing equipment with the goal of providing a more objective shade selection. Materials and method: Visual shade matching system selection(Vita Lumin Vacuum shade guide, Vitapan 3D Master shade guide) and mechanical shade matching method($ShadeEye^{(R)}$-EX Chroma Meter, $Shadescan^{TM}$ System) used for this study. The shade guide tap specimens for 10 extracted maxillary anterior teeth were produced by selecting shades using each shade matching system. The accuracy of the selection of shades for the teeth and fabricated specimens were evaluated by analyzing the calculated shade difference(${\Delta}E^*$), using a spectrophotometer and calculating the output of value $L^*,\;a^*,\;b^*$. Results and conclusion: The results show that the average ${\{Delta}E^*$ value (difference of shade) of the shade tap specimens to the actual specimen decreased in the following order: Vita Lumin Vacuum Shade Guide(VL), $ShadeEye^{(R)}$-EX Chroma Meter(SE) Vitapan 3D Master Shade guide(V3), and $Shadescan^{TM}$ System(55) : and that there are significant statistical differences between the VL and SS (p<0.05). In the analysis of the ${\Delta}E^*$ (difference of shade) value,40% of the VL group was found to be less than 3.3 (limit value of shade tap specimens clinically acceptable), 60% in the V3 group, 50% in the SE group, and 80% in the SS group.
