After 'Zhou Chuchu (走出去, Go global)' in the early 2000s, and with the 'One-to-One Road' initiative in 2012, China's Overseas Foreign Direct Investment (OFDI) has increased significantly, resulting in high academic interest. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of national risks of home country on China's OFDI by using data from 49 countries along the 'One-to-One Road' between 2007 and 2018, and to compare the factors of national risks that attract investment from the world. As a result of the study, market economy companies' perceptions of national risks are mostly negative, so risk acts as a deterrent to investment. On the other hand, national risks of home countries have had positive effects on China's OFDI, which would mean that Chinese investors, mostly state-owned enterprises have a high tendency to invest in regions or countries with high national risks. Other economic factors, such as the size of the investment partner country's market, GNI per capita, and trade openness, had a positive (+) effect, and natural resources had a negative (-) effect on China's OFDI. As dummy variables, FTA, which is an economic and diplomatic factor, SCO, which is a political and diplomatic factor, and bordering which is a geographical factor, were also found to have a positive (+) effect. This study implies the investment pattern of China's OFDI is due to the characteristics of China's unique geopolitical and economic system, and it is judged to be influenced by political and strategic factors, especially the aspects led by state-owned enterprises.
The current study aims to analyze the process of fabric production planning in Dongdaemun Market, which is a successful model case industrial integration in South Korea. We followed the changes in perception among fabric experts, regarding their recognition of fashion trends, and the following planning and process of fabric production. We used the purpose sampling method to select participants for interview in the Dongdaemun Market, then we carried out one-to-one interviews. Our analysis reveals 4 points of importance. First, the fabric planning stage either employed the trend book swatch, or simply reused the model fabrics already available. Even though the experts felt the need to accept the latest fashion trends, very few considered the trends as positive influences in fabric planning. Whereas trend was a key element in identifying the flow of the fashion industry, there were obstacles in carrying out the study. Second, experts frequently participated in domestic fabric seminars, but not in textile exhibitions. Third, domestic and overseas market research has been performed typically at department stores, and typically at Japan. Fourth, the influx of Chinese fabrics has both positive and negative influences, such as low price, and low reliability. In conclusion, experts were less amenable to accepting the latest fashion trends. pre-requisites in real life to meet the use of the current trend of each company. More studies on the Dongdaemun Market from perspectives of practitioners are warranted.

Thanks to the popularization of golf, the population of young golfers including female players has been continuously increasing and the market specialization of golf-wear has been gradually intensifying with a growing number of new import brands in the market. This study is aimed to provide a direction to strengthen and invigorate the competitiveness of domestic golf wear brands through research on the benefits pursued by, the purchase attitudes towards local and overseas brands and the purchasing behaviors of female customers who have emerged as the newest customer group in the golf-wear market. The subjects of the research were 409 female golfers and the statistical analyses used for the study were factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Scheffe test, and chi-square test. The results showed that there were six factors sought for golf-wear benefits: figure compensation, brand orientation, comfort, youth/fashion, maturity/conformity, and individuality. Cluster analysis showed that there were three groups of golf-wear benefits sought. Overall, the three groups were different in regard to golf involvement and golf-wear preferences. Based upon the results mentioned above, this study summarizes the key features of each group and can provide applicable suggestions for conducting strategic marketing activities.
Recently, it's a trend that the third party outsourcing logistics will be increased a logistics flow from law material to final products. The government also works on promoting logistics company as securing the expertise for strengthen logistics industry and secure competitiveness. Nevertheless, logistics market have been divided by polarization between small logistics company and major company. Also a labor who work for logistics is being caused by worsened working conditions. That is one of results of the survey. Almost 50% of response are they have not been aware of FTA and have not known to need the FTA. Many respondents said that entering the overseas logistics or a new way like FTA will be difficult to take part in. Therefore I suggest several examples in this paper to encourage a vitalization of small logistics company through the multilateral FTA. Now our country needs to make an effort to maximize connections between multilateral FTA and policy effect by signing FTA with many countries and extending Economic territory. This effect can completely cope with the improvement of economic interests, establishing regional integration strategy and change of global supply chain. Therefore, a small business logistics have to make their competitiveness & a new dealing market in the future.

This study confirmed the types of shopping information sources during travel abroad, and developed a profile of tourists in terms of demographics, travel, and shopping behavior. Shopping information sources and characteristics of shopping products were identified first. Thereafter, travelers were segmented by their information-seeking behavior. An online survey method was used to get data from Korean vacationers in their 20s-50s, while factor analysis, cluster analysis, ${\chi}^2$ test and ANOVA were applied to analyze data. The results were as follows. First, the shopping information sources of overseas tourists were composed of four factors including sources from travel agents/media, information from travel books and local sources, and word-of-mouth sources. Also, four factors in product types and four product attributes were identified. Second, tourists were clustered into two groups, active and passive shopping information seekers, based on shopping source behavior. Third, two groups differed in terms of demographics, showing an older age and higher income for active shopping source seekers. Active shopping information users tended to join package trips with family members, and they were more satisfied with the trip. With regard to shopping, active shopping source seekers spent more money for shopping and preferred all kinds of shopping goods with an emphasis on travel shopping. In conclusion, shopping information sources seemed to be a meaningful tool for segmenting tourists. Rich, older, family tourists would be an major target market for local retailers.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Hallyu(Korean Wave) and marketing mix elements on brand equity based on the Korean cosmetic brand in China Market. It will provide the constructive suggestions to build Korea brand equity in overseas market through empirical research. At the beginning of this study, in order to analyze the effect of Hallyu and marketing mix elements on brand equity, we studied literature reviews on relationships between brand equity and marketing mix elements, culture, Hallyu and its influences on marketing. And then, we set up the research model, hypotheses and variables. The chosen variables to investigate are price premium, price deals, store image, distribution intensity, advertising, Hallyu, perceived quality, brand loyalty, brand awareness/associations, and brand equity. The results of the study reveal that Hallyu and advertising had a positive influence on perceived quality, brand loyalty and brand awareness/associations, but the other marketing elements had partial influence. All of perceived quality, brand loyalty and brand awareness/associations showed positive effects on brand equity. Additionally, theoretical and managerial implications of brand equity and Hallyu based on the results of this study are discussed. And limitations and future research issues are also presented.
Market Environment around water work industry is rapidly changing. ISO, International Organization for Standardization, announced the international water work service standard for comparison and evaluation between nations and businesses. And developed countries in water work are introducing market principle for growth of nation's water industry and reinforcement of its competitiveness. Also, some local governments entrusted their water utilities for improvement of competitiveness of water work. However, as some failure cases from overseas came out with emphasis, there are many refuting perspective about entrusted operation achievements of domestic water market. Hence, this paper evaluated competitiveness of domestic local water utilities from the perspective of productivity. After evaluating productivity using Malmquist productivity index, the authors compared and analyzed whether there is a difference of productivity between two different operating types by using Mann-Whitney test. As a result of analysis, it has shown that local water utilities achieved higher productivity at entrusted operation type rather than direct operation type. The local water utilities which chose entrusted operation had increased the productivity 13.9% on total factor productivity(TFP) during experimenting period, while the local water utilities which chose direct operation had increased 0.2%. The background of achieving this high productivity in entrusted operation was analyzed as a result of the higher technological effectiveness of a special water company. The result of this study can be referred when local government needs to decide on what operating types they will use.
According to globalization and localization of world economics international trade payment method was also changed. A traditional payment was Letter of Credit basis, however it is being increased to various methods such as remittance, documentary collection(D/P, D/A) and open account. In order to acquire a secure export payment, exporters prefer to L/C basis which is guaranteed by a reliable bank. However, the L/C should bear a security so that importers would rather documentary collection than L/C. The reasons for the preference of collection payment rather than L/C are a low commission cost, the conversion of buyer's market from seller's market due to severe competition in the world market, transaction increase between main office and branches and a right to control the goods until executing the payment by exporters. Besides of them, collection payment can handle safer and faster than open account basis. However, the collection payment has a risk which it isn't guaranteed by bank for the payment so that I would suggest countermeasures to minimize the payment risk utilizing the collection basis as follows; using export credit insurance system, a large domestic credit report provider such as D&B for absolutely fresh and new information, a collection proxy service for overseas deferred credit and suggestion specifying to order B/L not straight one on consignee in order to transfer the right of ownership with endorsement without problem.

Due to the rapid growth of domestic and overseas airline markets, the demand for airline pilots has also been growing fast. Meeting such a market needs, central government, Ministry of Land and Transportation has set up civil airline pilot training center at Ulgin airport to train and provide the market with commercial airline pilots. Not only central government but universities in Korea also have tried to train pilots by operating flight training academies. Even though there are more than a dozen of flight training centers including colleges and private academies, there have been less efforts to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the flight training school's curriculums compared to other scholar majors in a university. Therefore this paper tried to evaluate the educational effectiveness of the curriculums using the Kirk-Patrick measurement model, which has been regarded as one of the most popular and accurate measurement tool for an empirical research in social science. According to the empirical research, it was found out the inter-personal relationship between an instructor pilot and flight trainee was perceived as the most important factor to have an impact on learning abilities and student's behaviors.
The purpose of this study is to identify the nature and trend of multinational corporations and to examine strategies for survival of local companies in newly-rising markets which stand against huge multinational corporations, through case study. This research has been done by the literature review of the articles, books and the case study. The results were as follow : First, if the pressure for the globalization of a industry is low and the possibility of overseas transfer of the competitive property of corporations are bare, the intensive strategy for the protection of a national market can be used against the invasion of a multinational corporations. Second, if the pressure for the globalization is still low and the retaining property can be transferred to abroad, a company can be expended to several foreign markets in the limited scope, using the success in a national market as a stepping-stone. Third, In case the pressure for the globalization is high and the competitive property of corporations are effective only in a national market, corporations can survive individually and continuously through the reorganization of corporation's property, which is the survival strategy against multinational corporations. Forth, if the pressure for the globalization is high and the property of corporations can be transferred to abroad, it is possible for corporations to compete with the multinational corporations confidently.
