선박 의장 기본 모델링을 위한 사이버 교육 컨텐츠 개발 (Development of A Cyber Education Contents for the Ship Outfitting Basic Design)

  • 조선 산업에서 사용되는 선박 설계 지원 프로그램은 기존의 TRIBON 시스템에서 3차원 CAD 시스템인 AM(AVEVA MARINE)으로 변화하고 있는 추세이다. 이에 따라 국내의 조선 업계에서도 AM을 도입하여 설계 작업을 진행하고 있는 곳이 증가하고 있다. 새로운 선박지원 설계 프로그램의 도입에 따라 이를 위한 인력 양성을 위한 양질의 교육 프로그램에 대한 수요 역시 증대하고 있다. 그러나 현재 활용되고 있는 교육프로그램은 주로 오프라인 교육으로서, 시공간적인 제약은 물론 교육을 위해 요구되는 비용이 높은 것이 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 AM 설계지원시스템을 대상으로 한 사이버 교육 콘텐츠의 개발에 대해 기술하였다. 교육 콘텐츠의 개발 프로세스와 개발 내용의 구성은 물론 콘텐츠 보안에 대한 고려를 포함한 구현 방법에 대해 기술하였다.

  • Recent growth in global economic situation has led dramatic increase in new buildings of large containerships. These increased new building orders have brought keen concerns of developing and improving the quality of design and increasing the productivity of the vessel in order to satisfy the ship Owner's various requirements. For the increment of productivity and quality of containership, the plastic type bearing pad of cargo hatch cover has been investigated intensively for years with the supplier of cargo hatch cover. The result of investigation showed that there are numbers of advantages for the Owner and Builder over the existing bronze bearing pads which are better corrosion resistance long life time, low friction coefficient, easy maintenance, easy installation, better production lead time and low maintenance cost.

선박용 대형 계류장비의 개발과 강도 평가 (A Study on the Development and Strength Evaluation of the Mooring Fittings with Big Capacity)

  • It has been developed large mooring fittings having the capacity of 160 tons and 180 tons installed on 170K LNG FSRU. The finite element analysis for the mooring fittings was carried out in order to check the structural integrity and to confirm satisfaction of the rule requirements. The 3 kinds of mooring fittings such as chock, bollard and universal fairlead are selected for FE analysis and load test. According to the FE analysis results, all the stress levels satisfied the acceptance criteria guided by the IACS UR A2, ISO standard, ship rules and OCIMF. As test results under design load, no structural defects were found.

  • The Boil-off gas (BOG) generation during the voyage is inevitable since Natural Gas (NG) in normally liquefied below -160 degree C in atmosphere condition and small heat ingress due to relatively hot outside keeps evaporating continuously. The one of major issue in LNG carriers is to handle generated BOG from cargo tank. The generated BOG affects to increase the cargo tank pressure and Gas Management System (GMS) for LNG carriers is closely related to cargo tank pressure maintenance. Economically, BOG is generally used as fuel in LNG carrier. Newly developed GMS for LNG carrier in boiler propulsion system, VaCo System, not only accomplish automatic control in GMS but also ensure safer operation.

  • In recent booming up of the ship building market, the supplying of large scale casting is difficult to keep the delivery schedule for ship yard because of the restrict manufacturer in Korea. And also, it is main cause to rise-up the cost of castings. This paper describes the outline of guidance of optimizing design for Rudder Horn Casting to reduce the risk of the delivery problem to ship yard.

  • In this paper, we studied the optimized design of roof structure to be separable roof structure. Also, the design have to satisfy with the GM/RT 2100' missile protection tests to verify the safety of railway vehicle structure. The separable roof structure design could have easier assembly process than whole roof structure in case of the interior outfitting and so on. Optimized design have to have as good as whole roof structure about results from the structure analysis. We studied separable roof structure to be optimized along with GM/RT 2100. The separable roof structure showed that the results have the same level of structure analysis

  • 조선소에서는 선박 건조 시 설계 및 각 선체 블록의 제작 조립 후 선행의장이라는 것을 실시한다. 선행의장은 선체를 제외한 다른 부품, 장비들을 탑재하는 것을 의미하는데, 이 과정에서 블록 내 존재하는 파이프 및 다양한 장비들의 체결이 각 블록 간 조립 시 정확히 이루어지지 않는다면 오작업 및 그에 따른 생산품질 저하와 재작업 등에 따른 막대한 비용이 발생한다. 또한 이미 완료한 의장작업이라도 파이프 및 내부 자재 공간배치 등의 문제 발생 시 재작업에 따른 선박 생산효율이 나빠진다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점 해결을 위해 3D 설계도면을 이용하여 공존현실 기술을 기반으로 한 선체의장 작업 전후 공간 배치 및 검사 시스템에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 개발 및 소개한 다양한 공존현실 알고리즘 및 검사 시스템은 국내에는 도입이 전무한 AR 서비스를 기반으로 하고 있으므로 조선 선박제조 공정뿐 아니라 자동차, 건축 등 설계도면을 이용한 다양한 제조 산업 분야에 널리 적용 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

Method for determining the design load of an aluminium handrail on an offshore platform

  • Aluminium outfitting is widely used in offshore platforms owing to its anti-corrosion ability and its light weight. However, various standards exist (ISO, NORSOK and EN) for the design of handrails used in offshore platforms, and different suppliers have different criteria. This causes great confusion for designers. Moreover, the design load required by the standards is not clearly defined or is uncertain. Thus, many offshore projects reference previous project details or are conservatively designed without additional clarification. In this study, all of the codes and standards were reviewed and analysed through prior studies, and data on variable factors that directly and indirectly affect the handrails applied to offshore platforms were analysed. A total of 50 handrail design load scenarios were proposed through deterministic and probabilistic approaches. To verify the proposed new handrail design load selection scenario, structural analysis was performed using SACS (offshore structural analysis software). This new proposal through deterministic and probabilistic approaches is expected to improve safety by clarifying the purpose of the handrails. Furthermore, the acceptance criteria for probabilistic scenarios for handrails suggest considering the frequency of handrail use and the design life of offshore platforms to prevent excessive design. This study is expected to prevent trial and error in handrail design while maintaining overall worker safety by applying a loading scenario suitable for the project environment to enable optimal handrail design.
