This study analyzes the current educational curricula in the field of clothing construction to provide some fundamental information for developing more appropriate educational courses and to activate the fashion business. A total of 82 different departments related to fashion and apparel were selected from four-year domestic universities and the curricula recently posted on their internet websites were analyzed by descriptive statistics. More than half (53.7%) of the 82 departments were offering classes in the clothing construction field for 3 credits and 4 class hours. College affiliation of the departments that offered curricula in the clothing construction field was classified into 5 categories: the arts (34), human ecology (22), natural sciences (14), humanities/culture (9), and others (3). Human ecology category showed the highest results in the average class hours (3.9), the number of classes in the clothing construction field (7.6), and the percentage of the classes in the clothing construction field out of all major classes offered by the clothing department (19.9%). All 82 departments were classified into 3 categories of: fashion design (32), clothing (28), and fashion business (22). The clothing category showed the highest results in the average credits (2.8), class hours (3.8), the number of classes offered by the clothing construction field (7.6), and the percentage of the classes that offer clothing construction education out of all major classes offered by the clothing department (19.9%). The educational contents of clothing construction area were classified into 8 different categories of: basic theory and sewing, clothing construction, flat pattern, draping, tailoring and advanced clothing construction, pattern CAD, sewing science and apparel manufacturing process, and clothing construction for special needs. Among these categories, the draping category constituted 21.7% as the largest part. In addition, the distribution of classes offered by 4 academic years were analyzed into 8 different categories.
To quantitatively evaluate how setup errors in conjunction with dose gradients contribute to the error in IMRT dose quality assurance (DQA) measurements. The control group consisted of 5 DQA plans of which all individual field dose differences were less than ${\pm}5%$. On the contrary, the examination group was composed of 16 DQA plans where any individual field dose difference was larger than ${\pm}10%$ even though their total dose differences were less than ${\pm}5%$. The difference in 3D dose gradients between the two groups was estimated in a cube of $6{\times}6{\times}6\;mm^3$ centered at the verification point. Under the assumption that setup errors existed during the DQA measurements of the examination group, a three dimensional offset point inside the cube was sought out, where the individual field dose difference was minimized. The average dose gradients of the control group along the x, y, and z axes were 0.21, 0.20, and 0.15 $cGy{\cdot}mm^{-1}$, respectively, while those of the examination group were 0.64, 0.48, and 0.28 $cGy{\cdot}mm^{-1}$, respectively. All 16 plans of the examination group had their own 3D offset points in the cube. The individual field dose differences recalculated at the offset points were mostly diminished and thus the average values of total and individual field dose differences were reduced from 3.1% to 2.2% and 15.4% to 2.2%, respectively. The offset distribution turned out to be random in the 3D coordinate. This study provided the quantitative data that support the large individual field dose difference mainly stems from possible geometric errors (e.g., random setup errors) under the influence of steep dose gradients of IMRT field.
This study was carried out the laboratory tests and field plate load test in order to evaluate the reinforcement effect of geocell for road construction. The geocell-reinforced subgrade shows the increment of cohesion and friction angle with comprison of non-reinforced subgrade. In addition, the field plate load test was performed on the geocell-reinforced subgrade to estimate the bearing capacity of soil. The direct shear test was conducted with utilizing a large-scale shear box to evaluate the internal soil friction angle with geocell reinforcement. The number of cells in the geocell system is varied to investigate the effect of soil reinforcement. The theoretical bearing capacity of subgrade soil with and without geocell reinforcement was estimated by using the soil internal friction angle. The field plate load tests were also conducted to estimate the bearing capacity with geocell reinforcement. It is found out that the bearing capacity of geocell-reinforced subgrade gives 2 times higher value than that of unreinforced subgrade soil. In the future, the reinforcement effect of the geocell rigidity and load-balancing effect of the geocells should be evaluated.

The principle of dark field imaging is comprehensively discussed using real images of dislocations, stacking faults and gettering phenomena due to defects obtained by Cz Si wafers and LEC semi-insulating GaAs crystals. Resulution of dark field imaging is improved by Fourier transformation of Fraunhofer diffraction pattern obtained at an out-of focusing position of an objective lens.
Local magnetization reversal in the exchange-biased NiFe/FeMn and $[Pd/Co]_5/FeMn$ multilayers with in-plane and out-of-plane magnetic anisotropy was achieved by using laser annealing. The local annealed NiFe/FeMn film under the opposite magnetic field shows a magnetoresistance (MR) curve having two symmetric peaks at the positive and negative exchange biasing field (${\pm}H_{ex}$). The intensity of the nucleated MR peak rises as the exposed area extends during the laser annealing process, and the peak disappears under the reverse magnetic field. In the case of [Pd/Co]/FeMn films, the local magnetization reversal increased gradually as the laser power increases. The locally reversed magnetization was restored under the opposite magnetic field.
Finite element analyses are carried out to understand the piezoelectric behaviors of ZnO nanowires. Three different types of ZnO nanowires, with aspect ratios of 1:2. 1:31, and 1:57, are analyzed for uniaxial compression, pure bending, and buckling. Under the uniaxial compression with a strain of $1.0{\times}10^{-4}$ as the reference state, it is predicted that all three types of nanowires develop the same magnitude of the piezoelectric fields, which suggests that longer nanowires exhibit higher piezoelectric potential. However, this prediction is not in agreement with the experimental results previously reported in the literature. Such discrepancy is understood when the piezoelectric behaviors under bending and buckling are considered. When only the strain field due to bending is present in bending or buckling, the antisymmetric nature of the through-thickness stain distribution indicates that two piezoelectric fields, the same in magnitude and opposite in sign, develop along the thickness direction, which cancels each other out, resulting in a zero net piezoelectric field. Once additional strain contribution due to axial deformation is superposed on the bending, such field cancelling is compensated for due to the axial component of the piezoelectric field. Such numerical predictions seem to explain the reported experimental results while providing a guideline for the design of nanowire-based piezoelectric devices.
Mean active intensity based active control for the cancellation of radiated noise out of the duct exit is studied. The active intensity control strategy is drerived based on the relation of the exterior sound field out of the duct termination and interior sound field of the duct. One of the characteristics of this control strategy is that the control performance can be maintained regardless of the sensor loction, compared with the conventional local pressure control methods at either interior downstream or exterior field positions. It is also suggested that the digital filtering for the active intensity control can be achieved by time-domain filtered-x LMP (Lest-Mean-Product) adaptive algorithm. Experiments for an open-ended duct are performed to compare the active intensity control performance with conventional pressure control one. Active control experiment of local sound pressure is conducted by widely used filtered-x LMS adaptive Algorithm and active intensity control implementaion uses the derived filter d-x LMP algorithm. It is shown that the exterior sound fileds was much better observable by sensing of the active intensity than by just sound pressure. It is also demonstrated that the global control performance of external field by acoustic intensity is superior to the conventional sound pressure control performance.

Triode field emitters with planar-carbon-nanopaticle (CNP) cathodes were successfully fabricated using the conventional photolithography and the hotfilament chemical vapor deposition. Electron emission from a CNP triode emitter with a 12-${\mu}m$-diameter gate hole started at the gate voltage of 45 V, and the anode current reached the level of ${\sim}120$ nA at the gate voltage of 60 V, respectively. For the quantitative analysis of the Fowler-Nordheim (F-N) type emission from a CNP triode emitter, we carried out 2dimensional numerical calculation of electrostatic potential using the finite element method. As it turned out, a radial variation of electric field was very important to account for the emission from a planar emitting layer. By assuming the graphitic work function of 5 eV for CNPs, we were able to extract a consistent set of F-N parameters, together with the radial position of emitting sites.
We have implemented the questionnaire survey to study the structure of consciousness of collegian and the Change of the worth view of the vocation on totally 832 collegians who attended to fisheries and martime colleges. The results were as follows : Most collegian had selected college and department by means of surrounding recommendation and acquired scores without regarding his own aptitude and prospect. The educational aims of the collegian who majored in fisheries and maritime field are to carry out the theory and practise along with emphasizing technical education and human-being education together. Concerning to the status of professor. Most collegian had wanted professor not only who had much comprehensive faculty but also who pointed out than well teaching professor. The collegian who consult their prospect with professor was very rare and they were very negative for the learning majoring in fisheries and maritime field. Because the practice guidance was not accomplished effectively on the account of social aspect, most collegian has avoided jobs relating to fisheries and maritime field. Also, they had selected short term on the job training couse aboard the ship.
For the application of field emission display (FED), it is essential to develop a carbon nanotube (CNT) cathode with high emission current density. In this study, we developed and demonstrated a post-heat treatment (PHT) process to improve field emission properties of CNT cathodes. Since the PHT is intended to burn out organic materials covering the CNTs, the PHT was carried out by heating samples at a high temperature in an atmosphere. The PHT process is applied for samples processed by surface treatment with an adhesive tape. Compared to samples prior to the PHT, samples after the PHT at $360^{\circ}C$ showed about 17% improvement in emission current density. The major reason for the increased current density is mainly the increased aspect ratio of the CNTs because of the removal of the adhesive organic residues covering the CNTs, which were attached on the CNT surfaces during the surface treatment using the adhesive taping method.
