For beverage using Citrus reticulata, Ostrea gigas and medicinal herbs were formulated by determining optimum ratio of mixing to several other ingredients, the results of element and amino acid analyses with Ostrea gigas and Citrus reticulata were as follow. The mineral contents of Ca and Na in Ostrea gigas were 18.8 ppm and highest as 23.8 ppm, respectively. The content of aspartic acid in Citrus reticulata was 14290.431 pmol, and 8 kinds of essential amino acid contained. In the sensory test of beverage using Citrus reticulata, Ostrea gigas, the sensory score(color, taste, flavor) were the best on mixing ratio of Citrus 1g, Amomum 0.25g, Pueraria 0.5g, Ostrea I2g, citric acid 1g, sodium benzoate 0.5g, aspartic acid 0.5g, raw sugar 90g. The general analyses were similar 3 kinds of sample.
The calcination characteristics of the waste Corbicula Japonica and Ostrea virginjca shell were examined for the future use as desulfurization sorbent. The weight variation was measured according to thermal-decomposition using TGA and observed variation of the phase. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of the sample were performed using XRD and the structural analysis, SEM. The results of TGA and XRD experiments showed that the almost all of the raw samples Corbicula Japonica and Ostrea virginjca were changed from calcite to lime by firing and calcination reaction. The result of SEM experiment showed that the plate type of the raw sample was changed to circle type, so the surface area ratio was increased. Above results suggested that waste Corbicula Japonica and Ostrea virginjca were usable in the viewpoint of the reuse of resource and the decrease of environmental pollution.
We investigated the processes of egg and larval developments for aquaculture technique development of seedling production fo the flat oyster, Ostrea denselamellosa. Teo flat oyster of larviparous type was different from the pacific oyser (ovivarous type) because their larvae (trochophore and prodissoconch larvae) in the gill released into the seawater. The process of egg development was observed by artificial fertilization at $25^{\circ}C$, using a dissecting method. The sizes of Unfertilized eggs ranged from 80 to 90 $\mu\textrm{m}$ and fertilized eggs with globule-shape was 90-100 $\mu\textrm{m}$. The Polar body appeared after fertilization and egg cleavage began within 1 hour, reaching the blastula stage after 10 hours. The trochophore in the gill appeared 2-3 days after fertilization and grew to the prodissoconch larvae (130 140 $\mu\textrm{m}$) having a complete shell after 1-2 days. The shell of prodissoconch larvae grew to 205 220 $\mu\textrm{m}$ after 10 hours, and then they became umbo stage larvae showing oval in shape. The velum of umbo stage larvae was degenerated about 17-20 days after fertilization and grew into a pediveliger with a developed foot, at this time, the shell length size was 320 360 $\mu\textrm{m}$.

Manganese peroxidase (MnP) was isolated from the culture filtrate of the wood log mushroom Stereum ostrea (S. ostrea), grown on Koroljova medium, and then purified by ammonium sulfate [70% (w/v)] fractionation, DEAE-cellulose anion exchange chromatography, and Sephadex G-100 column chromatography, with an attainment of 88.6-fold purification and the recovery of 22.8% of initial activity. According to SDS-PAGE the molecular mass of the MnP was 40 kDa. The optimal pH and temperature were found to be 4.5 and $35^{\circ}C$, respectively. The enzyme was stable even after exposure to a pH range of 4.5 to 6.0, and at temperatures of up to $35^{\circ}C$ at a pH of 4.5 for 1h. The $K_m$ and $V_{max}$ values for the substrate phenol red were found to be $8{\mu}m$ and 111.14 U/mg of protein, respectively. The MnP also oxidized other substrates such as guaiacol, DMP, and veratryl alcohol. Sodium azide, EDTA, SDS, $Cu^{2+}$, and $Fe^{2+}$, at 1-5 mM, strongly inhibited enzyme activity, whereas $Ca^{2+}$ and $Zn^{2+}$ increased enzyme activity. The participation of the purified enzyme in the decolorization of dyes suggests that S. ostrea manganese peroxidase could be effectively employed in textile industries.
In the present study, we observed a unique association of the flat oyster, Ostrea denselamellosa obtained from a muddy substrate at Haechang Bay, the south coast of Korea in the spring of 2013. Fossilized or semi-fossilized veneriid clam shells, possibly Ruditapes philippinarum, were found adhering to the umbonal area of the flat oyster valves. This unique association of the flat oyster shells with the fossilized clam shells suggested that the flat oyster larvae utilized the clam shells as substrate during settlement. Since availability of clam shells in the muddy subtidal environment is limited, this unique substrata for the flat oyster larvae may limit recruitment of the flat oysters in the bay.

In the course of screening for new natural compounds having antioxidant activity from microbials, mushrooms as well as plants. We have isolated novel sesquiterpenoid and officinalic acid from methanolic extracts of Stereum ostrea. The dried fruit body( 450 g) of Stereum ostrea was extracted with methanol, then methanolic extract was partitioned between water and hexane, chloroform, and ethyl acetate, subsequently. The chloroform extract was subjected on silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and RP-18 column chromatography, successively. And two compounds were isolated and identified as new triterpenoids and officinalic acid using $^1$H - NMR, $\^$13/C - NMR as well as Mass spectra.

Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are widely acknowledged as the marker of choice for many genetic and genomic applications because they show co-dominant inheritance, are highly abundant across genomes and are suitable for high-throughput genotyping. Here we evaluated the applicability of SNP markers developed from Crassostrea gigas and C. virginica expressed sequence tags (ESTs) in closely related Crassostrea and Ostrea species. A total of 213 putative interspecific level SNPs were identified from re-sequencing data in six amplicons, yielding on average of one interspecific level SNP per seven bp. High polymorphism levels were observed and the high success rate of transferability show that genic EST-derived SNP markers provide an efficient method for rapid marker development and SNP discovery in closely related oyster species. The six EST-SNP markers identified here will provide useful molecular tools for addressing questions in molecular ecology and evolution studies including for stock analysis (pedigree monitoring) in related oyster taxa.

Ostrea denselamellosa and Eriocheir japonica samples were collected from the Seomjin River in 2019 as part of the "Research of Host-Associated Bacteria" research program. Almost 200 bacterial strains were isolated from the O. denselamellosa and E. japonica samples and subsequently identified by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Among the bacterial isolates, ten strains possessed greater than 98.7% sequence similarity with published bacterial species that had not previously been recorded in Korea. These species were phylogenetically diverse, belonging to three phyla, four classes, seven orders, and eight genera. At the genus and class level, the previously unrecorded species belonged to Pseudoalteromonas, Aliivibrio, Rheinheimera, Leucothrix, and Shewanella of the class Gamma-proteobacteria, Olleya of the class Flavobacteriia, Algoriphagus of the class Cytophagia, and Lactococcus of the class Bacilli. The previously unrecorded species were further characterized by examining their Gram staining, colony and cell morphology, biochemical properties, and phylogenetic positions.
Partial mitochondrial 16S rDNA and COI gene were amplified using PCR and sequenced for four species of oysters in Korea. Phylogenetic relationships among them were inferred from their aligned sequences by neighbor-joining method. The sequence comparison data of two mitochondrial genes showed that the genetic distinction between two oyster genera (Crassostreo and Ostrea) was obvious. Phylogenetic analysis based on the nucleotide sequences and A+T percentage of two genes indicates that C. gigas and C. nippona strongly formed a sister group and then C. ariakensis was clustered with the clade although that based on amino acid sequences of COI gene by neighbor-joining method represented different phylogenetic tree.
This study was measured environmental factors of flat oyster habitats and biomass of flat oyster to improve the productivity of flat oyster. Water temperature and salinity of the flat oyster habitat ranged from 5.5 to 27.4$^{\circ}C$ and from 31.2 to 33.4 , respectively. Average concentrations of DO, COD, DIN and PO$\_$4/$\^$3/ -P were 7.11 mg/l, 4.55 $\mu\textrm{g}$-at./l and 0.36 $\mu\textrm{g}$-at./l respectively. Surface sediments at the sampling area were composed of coarse sand, sandy silt and silty sand. Average level of IL, COD and AVS in the surface sediments were 2.6%, 13.70 mg/g dry and 0.33 mg/g dry respectively. In each sampling station, total standing crops of phytoplankton showed peaks twice in February and August. Dominant species of phytoplankton occurred in Haechang Bay throughout the year were Skeletonema costatum, Paralia sulcata, Eucampia zodiacus, Chaetoceros curvicetus, C. affinis, C. debilis, C. decipiens, Asterionella glacialis, Pseudonitzschia longissima, Pseudonitzschia seriata, Ceratium furca and C. fusus. Ten species of the bivalves were collected at the flat oyster habitat. Most of bivalves were the eutrophic species Ostrea denselamellosa, Crassostrea gigas, Ruditapes philippinarum, Scaphraca subcrenata, Scapharca broughtonii, Atrina pectinata, Fulvia mutica, Mytilus edulis, Protothaca jedoensis and Megacardita ferruginosa. The mean density of them was 21 inds./㎡ (479.14 g/㎡), while that of the flat oyster was at 0.25 inds./㎡ (231.25 g/㎡).
