가변성 고속 비트율을 위한 새로운 AOCG-OFDM 변조 기술 (A Novel AOCG-OFDM Modulation Technique for Variable-high-bit-rate)

  • 다중 부호 변조는 무선 환경에서 고속의 데이터 전송을 위해 개발되었지만 직교 부호(OC)의 제한된 자원과 높은 평균 전력 대 최대 전력 비(PAPR)와 같은 치명적인 두 가지 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 위와 같은 문제점을 해결하고 사용자의 요구된 서비스 질(QoS)에 따라 네 가지 변수들로 조절 할 수 있는 가변성 고속 비트율을 얻기 위하여 AOCG(Advanced Orthogonal Code Group)-OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 이라 부르는 새로운 변조 기술을 제안한다.

Quasi-Orthogonal STBC with Iterative Decoding in Bit Interleaved Coded Modulation

  • In this paper, we present a method to improve the performance of the four transmit antenna quasi-orthogonal space-time block code (STBC) in the coded system. For the four transmit antenna case, the quasi-orthogonal STBC consists of two symbol groups which are orthogonal to each other, but intra group symbols are not. In uncoded system with the matched filter detection, constellation rotation can improve the performance. However, in coded systems, its gain is absorbed by the coding gain especially for lower rate code. We propose an iterative decoding method to improve the performance of quasi-orthogonal codes in coded systems. With conventional quasi-orthogonal STBC detection, the joint ML detection can be improved by iterative processing between the demapper and the decoder. Simulation results shows that the performance improvement is about 2dB at 1% frame error rate.

Noncoherent Detection of Orthogonal Modulation Combined with Alamouti Space-Time Coding

  • In this paper, we investigate the error probability performance of noncoherently detected orthogonal modulation combined with Alamouti space-time block coding. We find that there are two types of pair-wise error probabilities that characterize the performance. We employ methods that allow a direct evaluation of exact, closed-form expressions for these error probabilities. Theoretical as well as numerical results show that noncoherent orthogonal modulation combined with space-time block coding (STBC) achieves full spatial diversity. We derive an expression for approximate average bit error probability for-ary orthogonal signaling that allows one to show the tradeoff between increased rate and performance degradation.

  • 본 논문에서는 4개의 송신 안테나에서 full rate를 달성할 수 있는 준직교 QOSTF-OFDM(quasi-orthogonal space-time-frequency block coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing)기법을 제안한다. 제안된 방식은 full rate를 달성할 수 있지만 full diversity를 달성할 수 없기 때문에 수신기에서 diversity손실을 보상하기 위해 DAC-ZF(diversity advantage collection with zero forcing)수신 기법을 사용한다. 동일한 주파수 효율을 가진다는 가정하에서 제안된 방식은 full rate을 달성할 수 없는 다른 선형 직교 시공간 기법과 비교할 때 full rate를 달성할 수 있기 때문에 저 레벨(low level) 변조 기법을 적용함으로써 변조 이득(modulation advantage)을 얻을 수 있다. 모의 실험 결과 제안된 방식은 변조 이득과 collected 다이버시티 이득으로 인해 다른 직교 방식과 비교하여 더 높 BER성능을 얻을 수 있다.

  • Alamouti 직교 시공간 블록 부호(Orthogonal Space-Time Block Code; OSTBC)에 적용된 BICM(Bit Interleaved Coded Modulation)은 부호율 손실 문제를 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 직교 시공간 블록 부호(Orthogonal Space-Time Block Code; OSTBC)를 확장하여 확장된 OSTBC(eXpanded OSTBC; XOSTBC)를 구성하고, 여기에 비트 인터리브 된 부호화 변조(Bit Interleaved Coded Modulation; BICM)을 적용하여 부호율의 손실 없이 다이버시티 이득을 얻도록 하였다. BPSK의 경우에 대한 설계 예제와 이에 대한 모의실험 결과가 제시된다.

  • Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM), which employs orthogonal overlapping subcarriers to modulate the signals, has been attracted much attention in recent time as a favorable option for future generation wireless networks due to its ability to overcome many impairments in wireless channels. Since OFDM is a multi-carrier system adaptive modulation techniques can be effectively and efficiently used to enhance the system performance in terms of both BER and overall system capacity. This paper discusses a COFDM-CDMA system with adaptive modulation schemes for future generation wireless networks.

정 진폭 다중 보호 이진 직교 변조 (Constant-Amplitude Biorthogonal Multi-Code Modulation)

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 부호 신호 (MC: multi-code signal)를 정 진폭으로 전송하는 정 진폭 이진 직교 다중 부호 변조 방식 (CABM: constant-amplitude biorthogonal multi-code modulation)을 제안한다. 정 진폭을 유지하기 위해 제안된 CABM 방식에서는 잉여 비트를 사용하여 신호를 부호화 하였다. 제안된 CABM 변조 방식은 매우 높은 스펙트럼 효율을 지원할 수 있다. 또한 본 논문에서는 제안된 CABM 신호를 복조하기 위한 다양한 복조 방식들을 제시하고 기존의 정 진폭 직교 변조 방식 (CAOM: Constant-amplitude orthogonal multi-code modulation)과 그 성능을 비교한다. 제안된 CABM 변/복조 방식은 고속 데이터 율을 제공해야 하는 디지털 무선 통신 시스템으로 사용될 수 있다.

  • In this paper, we present the performance of a multi-code parallel combinatory CDMA system using bi-orthogonal modulation under multipath fading channel. In general, the dynamic range of the amplitude of the transmit signal is very large in conventional multi-code CDMA systems, resulting in severe nonlinear distortion due to high power amplifier and thus significant BER performance degradation. Since the number of simultaneously multiplexed code channels in the proposed system is reduced, the proposed system exhibits reduction of peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of the transmit signal amplitude with significant BER improvement. We verify the performance of the proposed system by computer simulations under the Vehicular B multipath fading channel model by ARIB.

  • In this paper, we present a multi-code parallel combinatory CDMA system using bi-orthogonal modulation to reduce envelope variation and improve bit error. .rate (BER) performance.   • A bandwidth and power efficient high speed ubiquitous sensor network(USN) for realizing a ubiquitous society is a great challenge for researcher community. In this paper we incorporate a cooperative transmission protocol within a special type of multi-code modulation to meet these requirements. Multi-code(Mc) modulation has been developed for high-speed data transmission over wireless channels. We proposed a new class of orthogonal codes for multi-code modulation which is an orthogonal subset of orthogonal codes(OSOC). Our proposed OSOC structure allows us to use only one relay to cooperate M nodes that effectively reduces the bandwidth and power requirement. This protocol is similar to spread-spectrum(SS) technique that can reduce both broad and narrow band jamming.
