  • We investigated physical properties of CuIn1-xGaxSe2 thin films grown by co-evaporator under various Cu environments. To study the effect of the Cu environments on absorber layer properties, thin films were fabricated under various reaction periods for different Cu flux on 2 stage process. We find the structural and electrical characteristics were affected by the reaction period on 2 stage process. The correlation between Cu flux variation on 2 stage process and solar cell performance was studied. The structural and electrical properties for various Cu flux were discussed.

  • We studied the solution processes of IGZO thin films and investigated the electrical characteristics of thin film transistor (TFT) with sol-gel processed InGaZn-oxide active semiconductor layer. In particular, the effect of composition variation and post annealing temperature were studied by using solutions having various metal cation ratios to optimize transistor performance.

  • A pixel isolation wall of liquid crystal display is fabricated by the anisotropic photoreaction of a cinnamate based prepolymer. The various oligomers containing a cinnamate moiety were synthesized and used for the formation of the pixel isolation wall. The anisotropic photoreaction of cinnamate moiety was closely related with the liquid crystal orientation at the polymer wall boundary.

  • It is a basic rule in the credit law that original documents are required unless otherwise stipulated by the credit. Due to modern technology enabling documents to be produced in many ways it may not always to decide whether a document is original or a photocopy. In consideration of modern technology and the advent of new methods of document production, ICC has drawn up the provisions on original documents in Article 22 (b) of UCP 400 for the first time. The equivalent provision in UCP 500 is Article 20 (b). As a result of many queries to ICC Banking Commission on what constitutes an "original" documents under UCP 500 and several court cases in connection with original documents, the ICC Banking Commission has issued Decision on original documents in July 1999. Based on this Decision, the ICC dealt it in Article 17 under UCP 600 which came into force on July 1, 2007. There are some changes, replacements and new provisions of UCP 600 concerning original documents and copies. Importers, exporters, insurance companies, other third parties and, above all, banks should pay attention to some changes and implications of UCP 600 concerning original documents and copies. The purpose of this paper is to examine the provisions on original documents and copies under UCP 600. For this purpose, firstly this study deals with the relative provisions on original documents and copies under pre-UCP 600. Secondly this study considers the provisions on original documents and copies under UCP 600. Thirdly this study compares the provisions under pre-UCP 600 with the provisions under UCP 600. Finally this study analyzes the cases decided both home and abroad in connection with original documents. This paper contribute to help the parties to letters of credit to understand the provisions on original documents and copies under UCP 600.

  • Transparent semiconductor oxide thin films have been attracting considerable attention as potential channel layers in thin film transistors (TFTs) owing to their several advantageous electrical and optical characteristics such as high mobility, high stability, and transparency. TFTs with ZnO or similar metal oxide semiconductor thin films as the active layer have already been developed for use in active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED). Of late, there have been several reports on TFTs fabricated with InZnO, AlZnSnO, InGaZnO, or other metal oxide semiconductor thin films as the active channel layer. These newly developed TFTs were expected to have better electrical characteristics than ZnO TFTs. In fact, results of these investigations have shown that TFTs with the new multi-component material have excellent electrical properties. In this work, we present TFTs with inverted coplanar geometry and with a novel HfInZnO active layer co-sputtered at room temperature. These TFTs are meant for use in low voltage, battery-operated mobile and flexible devices. Overall, the TFTs showed good performance: the low sub-threshold swing was low and the $I_{on/off}$ ratio was high.

  • Over a period of several years there have been a number of queries raised with the ICC Banking Commission as to the determination, by banks, of what is an "original"document under a letter of credit and the necessity, if my, for such a document to be so marked. So, the ICC Banking Commission Decision on original documents was sent to members in July. This Decision emphasizes the need to correctly interpret and apply sub-Article 20(b) of UCP 500. Consequently, about Hand signed documents, Facsimile signed documents, Photocopies and Telefaxed presentation of documents, Banks examine documents presented under a letter of credit to determine, among other things, whether on their face they appear to be original. Banks treat as original any document bearing an apparently original signature, mark, stamp, or label of the issuer of the document, unless the document itself indicates that it is not original. Accordingly, unless a document indicates otherwise, it is treated as original if it : appears to be written, typed, perforated, or stamped by the document issuer's hand; or appears to be on the document issuers original stationery; or states that it is original, unless the statement appears not to apply to the document presented (e.g. because it appears to be a photocopy of another document and the statement of originality appears to apply to that other document).document).

  • This paper presents a new iterative locally one-dimensional [mite-difference time-domain(LOD-FDTD) method that has a simpler formula than the original iterative LOD-FDTD formula[l]. There are fewer arithmetic operations than in the original LOD-FDTD scheme. This leads to a reduction of CPU time compared to the original LOD-FDTD method while the new method exhibits the same numerical accuracy as the iterative ADI-FDTD scheme. The number of arithmetic operations shows that the efficiency of this method has been improved approximately 20 % over the original iterative LOD-FDTD method.

  • Driving is a complex psychomotor task often interrupted by secondary activities that increase cognitive workload and divert attention away from the roadway. The risk of inattentive driving is known to vary with age. To assess the characteristics of advancing age on driver's cognitive workload under dual task condition, we evaluate the performance of 96 drivers divided into three age groups: 20's, 40's, and 60's. This study considers driver's cognitive workload in the context of urban and highway driving. Error rate & Dual task cost are used to measure driver's cognitive workload. Results indicate that age impacts cognitive workload during dual task driving conditions.
