The Effects of the Service Orientation on Job Satisfaction and Customer Orientation of the Urban Railway-operating Company (도시철도운영기관의 서비스지향성이 직무만족과 고객지향성에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper performed an empirical study through the survey to investigate the effects of the service orientation of the urban railway-operating company on employees' job satisfaction and customer orientation. For this, the surveyed data was analyzed through factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis. The difference between railway-operating companies was analyzed by the t-test and the differences between workers in different fields were analyzed by the ANOVA test. The results show that 1) human resource management, employee empowerment, service leadership, and service system are positively related to employees' job satisfaction in the decreasing order, 2) the service system, human resource management, and service leadership are positively related to customer orientation, but employee empowerment is negatively related to customer orientation, 3) the workers of the urban railway-operating company A and B show significant differences in job satisfaction and customer orientation, and 4) the job satisfaction and the customer orientation of the rolling stock maintenance workers was the highest and that of service workers in station was the lowest.

The Death Orientation of Paramedic Student (응급구조과 학생의 죽음에 관한 의식)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of death in paramedic student. The results of this study will help develop education program for death orientation, paramedic students education and practice. Methods : A total of 201 paramedic students filled out the questionnaire. The perception of death was examined using questionnaires designed for examining Death Orientation. The data were analyzed with SPSS 18.0 statistics program for frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, cronbach alpha coefficient, factor analysis. cronbach alpha coefficient was .866. Results : The paramedic students' got a score of $2.35({\pm}.48)$ on the Orientation on death as average. The reason is that death is not yet pressing them at all and ahead of their lives they have many days to live. With respect to the Death Orientation, significant differences was found in experience of death(t=2.318, p=.021). Group of death experience was higher than group of no death experience. In view of the attitude on afterlife, students responded no afterlife(24.9%), unknown after death(22.4%). Conclusion : The results of this study suggest that paramedic curriculum should include education program on death and improve quality of prehospital care. Additional studies are needed to establish death education for paramedic.

  • This study wants to test the nexus among resource orientation, market orientation, social network, and knowledge sharing toward organizational innovation, and the nexus between organizational innovation and MSMEs performance. Questionnaires and interviews are conducted with some MSMEs actors in Central Java Province, Indonesia, in Klaten Regency and Pekalongan City. These two areas have creative MSMEs, especially Batik MSMEs that have been very large and known worldwide. The sampling technique is done purposively with certain criteria for the respondents. The data analysis technique is done using Partial Least Square. This study provides recommendations about strategic practice and policy (resource and market), social network, and knowledge sharing in increasing organizational innovation, and the impact of organizational innovation toward MSMEs performance. It also offers a comprehensive model of the determinant factor of organizational innovation by considering the aspect of strategic orientation, social network, and knowledge sharing. Other unique aspects that are also important to consider are social network and the importance of knowledge sharing in improving MSMEs Performance. The respondents are still limited in two areas, namely, Pekalongan and Klaten, so it still cannot represent the whole population. These areas also have different orientation of production process approach, namely, synthetic and natural dyes.

Consumption Behavior and Fashion Orientation for Luxury Brands of Japanese and Korean Consumers

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between consumption behavior and fashion orientation for luxury brands in Japanese and Korean consumers. For this study, the author carried out a questionnaire survey with objects of 816 Koreans and Japanese, and analyzed the relations among consumer attitude, purchase behavior, lifestyle and fashion orientation. First, in Korea, all fashion orientations gave positive effects on attitude toward luxury brands, and especially it has a significant relation with factors affecting luxury brand consumption, so when luxury enterprises establish a marketing strategy for Koreans, they need to refer to fashion orientation intensively. Second, as a result of analyzing the relation between fashion orientation and purchasing behavior, it was found that fashion interest is an important factor affecting luxury brand purchasing behaviors, in both Japan and Korea. Third, Japanese luxury brand enterprises need to focus on consumers who prefer standard goods. while Korean enterprises need to focus on consumers who prefer specific brands. Lastly, in case of Japanese consumers, the more they pursue self-esteem and reasonable consumption, the higher they prefer standard goods, while the more Korean consumers pursue conspicuous consumption, hedonic consumption and self-esteem, the higher Koreans prefer specific brands.

The Effects of a Coffee Shop Franchise's E-Service Quality on Long-term Orientation, Consumer Commitment and Satisfaction

  • Purpose - This research investigates whether e-service quality has the influence on long-term orientation, consumer commitment, and satisfaction. Research design, data, and methodology - Data collection took place for 30 days from October 1, 2015 to October 31, 2015. 315 copies had been analyzed. Covariance structure analysis with credibility and factor analysis was conducted to verify this research hypotheses. Results - First, the lower dimension concepts of e-service quality, reliability, and tangibility had a significant influence on customer commitment, and responsiveness had a significant negative influence. However, aesthetics did not have a significant influence on that. Secondly, aesthetics had a significant influence on long-term orientation, but reliability, tangibility, and responsiveness did not have a significant influence. Thirdly, reliability, tangibility, and aesthetics had a positive influence on customer satisfaction. However, responsiveness had a negative influence. Fourthly, customer commitment had a significant and positive influence on customer satisfaction, but customer commitment and customer satisfaction had a negative influence on long-term orientation. Conclusions - This research verifies the influencing relationship between e-service quality of a franchise coffee shop application with customer commitment, customer satisfaction, and long term orientation. By the results of this research, possibility of application and expansion of theory has been proven.

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the relationships among shopping orientation, information source, service duality, and impulse buying behavior of the elderly women, which nay provide insights related to silver fashion market in Korea. Data were obtained from 50's and 60's women living in Busan(N=285), and analyzed Using by factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha and t-test. The results of this study are as follows: 1. Comported to unimpulse buying group, impulse buying group was more likely to be influenced by hedonics shopping orientation, economic shopping orientation, personal shopping orientation, and convenient shopping orientation. 2. for information source, impulse buying group seemed more to use various information sources than unimpulse buying group, such as advertising of newspaper, magazin or TV, experience, salespersons' opinions. 3. For perceived service quality, impulse buying group was more likely to be effected by events of store, product advertisement, and opening/closing time of store. But demographic characteristics doesn't significant differences between impulse-group and unimpulse-buying group of elderly women. This study suggests some implications and strategies for silver fashion market.

The Influences of Shopping Orientation and Impulse Buying Orientation on Internet Shopping Addiction to Fashion Products (소비자의 쇼핑성향과 충동구매성향이 인터넷 패션제품 쇼핑중독에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the influences of consumers' shopping orientation and impulse buying orientation on shopping addiction to fashion products in the internet shopping malls. This study surveyed 521 male and female consumers in their 20s~40s in August 2012 who have purchased fashion products through internet shopping malls. For statistical analysis, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, $x^2$-test, factor analysis, ANOVA analysis, Duncan test, and regression analysis were carried out using SPSS for Windows 12.0. The results are as follows. First, it was identified that there were not significant differences in consumers' demographic characteristics according to the level of internet shopping addiction consumer groups. Second, high level shopping addiction consumers were higher in pleasure/convenience seeking, fashion seeking, and brand seeking shopping orientations and in refreshing, non-plan shopping, recommendation from acquaintances, product stimulus, purchaser stimulus, sales promotion stimulus impulse buying orientations than low level consumers. Third, internet shopping addiction was significantly influenced by the pleasure/convenience, fashion, economic efficiency, brand, sale seeking shopping orientations and refreshing, non-plan shopping, sales promotion stimulus impulse buying orientations. The results of this study will help internet fashion enterprises to handle the consumers with shopping addiction as well as the consumers with high shopping addiction to be able to manage their shopping addiction themselves.

A Study on the Type of Preference Store and Recognized Environment of Clothing Store according to Characteristics of Clothing Shopping (의류쇼핑성향에 따른 선호점포유형과 점포환경인식에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify consumers by orientation of clothing shopping and to analyze the type of preference store and recognized environmental elements of clothing shop. This survey was carried out through questionnaires of 312 females(Busan region) in their twenties and the data were analyzed by using Factor analysis, Cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan test as a post identification and ${\chi}^2$-test. The results of this research can be summarizedas follows: First, orientations of clothing shopping consisted of pleasure shopping orientation, planned shopping orientation, brand shopping orientation, and information of store orientation. The respondents were classified into four groups by these characteristics: high interested shopping group, brand-oriented shopping group, low interested shopping group, and unplanned shopping group. These groups had different type of preference store and there were significantly different preferences among department store, brand agency and regular discount store. The recognized environmental elements of clothing shop were service policy, store atmosphere, store layout, trend of products, product variety, freedom of shopping, and reception service. The groups by characteristics of clothing shopping had different attitude regarding those factors. Especially, they are susceptible to store atmosphere, trend of products and reception service. There was the correlation between type of preference store and environmental elements of store and mainly recognized environmental elements of clothing shop had differences according to type of store.

Shopping Orientation and Knitwear Purchasing Behavior of Female College Students in the U.S. (미국 여대생의 쇼핑 성향과 니트웨어 구매행동에 관한 연구)

  • The Main objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between shopping orientations and Knit wear Buying Behavior of female college students in the U.S. age 18 to 33. The questionnaires for this survey were developed to measure knitwear purchasing behavior, including sources of information about knitwear, evaluative criteria of knit wear product, attributes f store preference for knitwear, and shopping orientation. The questionnaire was administered to 119 female college students in the University of California. The data was analyzed by percentage, frequency, mean, factor analysis, Cluster Analysis and ANOVA, Duncan Multiple Range test. The female college students were classified into five subdivisions by cluster analysis; cautious shopping group, recreational shopping group, self-confident shopping group, shopping indifferent group, price conscious shopping group. In the case of fashion information sources of knit wear, significant differences were found according to shopping orientation subdivision in observation of others' and famous people's clothing, fashion shows, fashion articles in magazines, newspapers, and on the Internet, and shop displays. The evaluation criteria of knit wear product were significantly different depending on shopping orientation subdivision in fashionable, brand and store name, appropriate for different occasion, prestige. The store attributes of knitwear were significantly different depending on shopping orientation subdivision in product knowledge of sales personnel, store atmosphere, display of merchandise, layaway payment plan, price level, ease of parking and access, and new fashion.

A Study on the Effects of the Entrepreneurial Orientation on Management Performance : Focused on the Manufacturer in the Small Businesses (기업가지향성이 경영성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 중소기업 제조업체를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to present that the entrepreneurial orientation affects to management performance in the small manufacturer. In order to carry out this research, we obtained 171 survey sheets and inspected seven assumptions based on the reliability, validity of the questionnaires. The results of regression analysis are summarized as follows; First, the factor of entrepreneurial orientation, innovative-ness, influences on the technical innovation performance and financial performance significantly. Second, the element of entrepreneurial orientation, proactive-ness, has an important effect on the technical innovation performance and financial performance. Finally, the requisite of entrepreneurial orientation, risk taking, affects to the technical innovation performance significantly, but not the financial performance. Based on the results, the companies that achieve the technical innovation and financial performance have an atmosphere to encourage to perform the research and development works and find out innovative ideas and improvement points in processes. However, the entrepreneur is required to take careful judgement for determining the uncertain circumstance.
