  • Synthesis and hydrolysis of aromatic diketimines of triaryl type were investigated by the action of aryl organometallics on the three isomers of phthalonitrile. The reactions of organometallic reagents, prepared from bromobenzene, o-bromotoluene and o-bromoanisol, with iso- and terephthalonitrile proceeded in normal way. Decomposition of the addition complex with dry ammonia, methanol or water gave six diketimines, which could be hydrolysed to the corresponding diketones. Reactions of phthalonitrile with the organometallic reagent were different from the other isomers, so that the decomposition and hydrolysis of the addition complex did not give diimines and the corresponding aromatic diketones.

  • Although it has been known that organometallic $\beta$-lactam compounds improve the resistance to $\beta$-lactamases as well as their pharmacological activities, only a few results on organometallic $\beta$-lactam antibiotics were reported. In the course of our extensive study on the development of new cephalosporins, we were interested in organotin compounds since they show some biological activities.

  • Activated carbon fibers were prepared from the petroleum isotropic pitch and organometallic compounds. The metalsvwere dispersed uniformly in the ACFs. The specific surface area and pore size distributions of metal containing ACFsvwere measured. The mesopores of ACFs were developed by Co, Ni, and Mn metals addition and the catalytic reactivityvof ACFs'SOx removal was increased by adding Ni and Pd metals. It was found that the mesopores did not work forvthe improvement of catalytic reactivity of ACFs' SOx removal with the blank experiment using the metal removedvACFs.

  • The reaction of dichlorophenylvinylsilane with tert-butyllithium in hydrocarbon solvents at room temperature or below generated the Z and E-isomers of 1-chloro-1-phenyl-2-neopentylsilene. The intermediates were trapped by cyclopentadiene, anthracene and methoxytrimethylsilane to give a consistent 90/10 ratio for the Z-silene to E-silene adduct. This result was interpreted as an evidence for stereochemical induction in the silene generation reaction.

  • In this paper, It was reported the dielectric constant in organic inorganic hybrid silica material such as SiOC film modeling of bond structure by annealing in organic properties. The organic inorganic hybrid silica material were deposited using bis-trimethylsilymethane (BTMSM, [(CH3)3Si]2CH2) and oxygen gas precursor by a plasma chemical vapor deposition (CVD). The organic inorganic hybrid silica material have three types according to the deposition condition. The dielectric constant of the films were performed MIS(Al/Si-O-C film/p-Si) structure. The C 1s spectra in organin inorganic silica materials with the flow rate ratio of O2/BTMSM=1.5 was organometallic carbon with the peak 282.9 eV by XPS. It means that organometallic carbon component is the cross-link bonding structure with good stability. The dielectric constant was the lowest at annealed films with cross-link bonding structure.

  • Fluorine-18 is by far the most widely exploited radionuclide in PET (positron emission tomography) radiochemistry. The physical half-life of fluorine-18 allows for chemical manipulation within a restricted timeframe, and cyclotron-produced fluoride ion has been widely applied in aliphatic and aromatic nucleophilic radiofluorinations to produce a variety of established radiotracers. Radiotracers have become more structurally complicated to address diverse targets in physiobiological systems. There is therefore an unmet need to complement traditional C-18F bond-forming radiofluorination with new and efficient radiolabeling techniques to tackle the myriad of possible chemical environments. This review discusses recent advances in organometallic fluorine-18 bond creation in 18F-radiochemistry. Although not widely employed, new radiolabeling strategies for constructing boron-18F, silicon-18F, aluminum-18F, and other metal-18F bonds are described in view of their potential use in the development of novel radiopharmaceuticals.

  • Flash lamp annealing (FLA) of metal nanoparticle (NP) ink has provided powerful strategies to fabricate high-performance electrodes on a flexible substrate because of its rapid processing capability (in milliseconds), low-temperature process, and compatibility with to roll-to-roll process. However, metal NPs [e.g., gold (Au), silver (Ag), copper (Cu), etc.] have limitations such as difficulty in synthesizing fine metal NPs (diameter less than 10 nm), high price, and degradation during ink storage and FLA processing. In this regard, organometallic ink has been proposed as a material that can replace metal NPs due to their low-cost (usually 1/100 times cheaper than metal nano inks), low-temperature processability, and high material stability. Despite these advantages, the fabrication of flexible electrodes through FLA treatment of organometallic compounds has not been extensively researched. In this paper, we experimentally guide how to determine the optimal conditions for forming electrodes on flexible substrates by considering material parameters, and flashlight processing parameters (energy density, pulse duration, etc) to minimize the difficulties that may arise during the FLA of organometallic ink.

  • Catalytic effects of metallic salts on the combustion of diesel fuel oil have been studied. In the case of organometallic salt, the active species are the metallic oxides resulted from combustion of the salts. The oxides act only on the residual solid carbon produced from the fuel oil combustion. The catalytic activity can be explained with the semiconductor theory just as in the case of the gas phase reaction. The chemical rate constant of the combustion of carbon, the soot from diesel fuel oil, is found to be $k_c=1.1{\times}10^4\;exp$ (-16,600/T) below $800^{\circ}K$. By addition of metallic oxides, the rate constant increases remarkably. This work has substantiated the belief that the effect of the metallic salts on the fuel oil combustion can conveniently be studied by checking directly the effect of the corresponding metallic oxide on the soot carbon.

  • The new type ligand, bisphosphonites, were easily prepared through ligand exchange reaction of bis (diethylamino)phosphine with diols. These bisphosphonites reacted with $(COD)^2Rh^+BF_4\;^-$ to corresponding bisphosphonite-rhodium(I) comlexes, of which X-ray crystallography was for the first time investigated. This organometallic compound was applicated in hydroformylation reaction as catalyst, and proved to be very effective one.
