The purpose of this study was to identify whether need of cognition have a mediating effect on media multitasking on learning engagement in online education. The subjects were 168 university students who had received online education for more than one semester, and data were collected using questionnaires on media multitasking, need of cognition, and learning engagement. For data analysis, correlation, hierarchical regression and Sobel test were performed using SPSS WIN 20.0 program. As a result of the study, there was a significant positive correlation between media multitasking and learning engagement (r=.52, p<.001), and a between need of cognition and learning engagement(r=.39, p<.001). Media multitasking had a significant effect on learning participation (β=.52, p<.001), and explanatory power was 27%. When need of cognition was input, the effect of media multitasking on learning engagement decreased (β=.52 ⟶ .44), so it was found that need of cognition had a partial mediating effect in the effect of media multitasking on learning engagement(Z=2.77). p<.01). Therefore, it is suggested to use online contents with learning to organizing a g a lesson syllabus for distance education, and to organize activities promoting media multitasking activities. Also, it is proposed to develop and apply various teaching strategies to promoting the need of cognition in the distance education.
In this study, we analyze the strengths and limitations of student convergence education and teacher-training programs offered by a science education institute in the capital region and provide suggestions for organizing and running similar programs in other science education institutes and schools. Reviews of relevant literature and interviews with internal and external expert groups were conducted, and an analytic framework was developed. Based on the framework, we collected data using focus group interviews and email communications with experts. The data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods within two areas, namely, convergence education programs for students and teacher-training programs. The data analysis results revealed the status of student convergence education and teacher-training programs in the institute. Furthermore, we also provided suggestions for improving programs in other informal science education institutes and schools through the interaction between the two areas in the framework and educational and social needs.

Microgrid, which enables the production and consumption of electricity to be done independently on a small scale, has been studied on one of the solutions of reinforcement for flexibility of electronic system. This study examined the application effect of new microgrid by applying hybrid battery in electric power storage device. We designed the system to highlight the advantage of each battery and complement the disadvantage by using hybrid system with Lithium-ion battery and interval Redox flow battery. It runs with lithium-ion battery during the initial startup while the Redox flow battery operates for a long time at the end of excessive period, and it enables a discharge of Lithium-ion and Redox flow battery at the same time when the load has a large output. We chose Maldives as a subject of this study for organizing and optimizing independent microgrid. Maldives is the country to accomplish 100% domestic electricity in South Asia, but the whole electric power is supplied through diesel generation imported fossil fuel. We organized and optimized microgrid for energy independence on Malahini island to solve Maldives energy cost problem and global energy environment matters. We analyzed the daily power supply and accumulated the power supply from September 18, 2018~February 11, 2019. The accumulated power supply was about 120.4 MWh and the daily power supply was about 800~1000 kWh. Based on the collected information, we divided the cases into three models which are only diesel generator, solar generator as well as diesel generator, and solar+ESS+diesel generator. We analyzed the amount of oil consumption compared to the cost of construction and power output. The result showed that solar+ESS+diesel generator was most economically feasible. As well, we obtained that our considering hybrid battery system reduced the fuel consumption for diesel power generation about 10~15%.

The development of the education system and the labor market today requires new conditions for unification and functioning, the introduction of an innovative culture in the field of Education. The construction of modern management of innovative development of a higher education institution requires consideration of the existing theoretical, methodological and practical planes on which its formation is based. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the modern paradigm of organizing the mechanism of managing the innovative development of higher education institutions. Innovation in education is represented not only by the final product of applying novelty in educational and managerial processes in order to qualitatively improve the subject and objects of management and obtain economic, social, scientific, technical, environmental and other effects, but also by the procedure for their constant updating. The classification of innovations in education is presented. Despite the positive developments in the development of Education, numerous problems remain in this area, which is discussed in the article. The concept of innovative development of higher education institutions is described, which defines the prerequisites, goals, principles, tasks and mechanisms of university development for a long-term period and should be based on the following principles: scientific, flexible, efficient and comprehensive. The role of the motivational component of the mechanism of innovative development of higher education institutions is clarified, which allows at the strategic level to create an innovative culture and motivation of innovative activity of each individual, to make a choice of rational directions for solving problems, at the tactical level - to form motives for innovative activity in the most effective directions, at the operational level - to monitor the formation of a system of motives and incentives, to adjust the directions of motivation. The necessity of the functional component of the mechanism, which consists in determining a set of steps and management decisions aimed at achieving certain goals of innovative development of higher education institutions, is proved. The monitoring component of the mechanism is aimed at developing a special system for collecting, processing, storing and distributing information about the stages of development of higher education institutions, prediction based on the objective data on the dynamics and main trends of its development, and elaboration of recommendations.

Innovation is considered as an implemented innovation in education - in the content, methods, techniques and forms of educational activity and personality education (methods, technologies), in the content and forms of organizing the management of the educational system, as well as in the organizational structure of educational institutions, in the means of training and education and in approaches to social services in education, distance and multimedia learning, which significantly increases the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the educational process. The classification of currently known pedagogical technologies that are most often used in practice is shown. The basis of the innovative activity of a modern teacher is the formation of an innovative program-methodical complex in the discipline. Along with programmatic and content provision of disciplines, the use of informational tools and their didactic properties comes first. It combines technical capabilities - computer and video technology with live communication between the lecturer and the audience. In pedagogical innovation, the principles reflecting specific laws and regularities of the implementation of innovative processes are singled out. All principles are elements of a complex system of organization and management of innovative activities in the field of education and training. They closely interact with each other, which enhances the effect of each of them due to the synergistic effect. To improve innovative activities in the training of students, today computer technologies are widely used in pedagogy as a science, as well as directly in the practice of the pedagogical process. They have gained the most popularity in such activities as distance learning, online learning, assistance in the education management system, development of programs and virtual textbooks in various subjects, searching for information on the network for the educational process, computer testing of students' knowledge, creation of electronic libraries, formation of a unified scientific electronic environment, publication of virtual magazines and newspapers on pedagogical topics, teleconferences, expansion of international cooperation in the field of Internet education. The article considers computer technologies as the main building material for the entire society. In the modern world, there is a need to prepare a person for life in a multimedia environment. This process should be started as early as possible, because the child's contact with the media is present almost from the moment of his birth.
This study is based on Freudenthal's mathmatising process and the didactical phenomenology of linear function concept, I have described and examined the process in which students represent the constant rate of change into tables, graphs and equations and, in this way, how they construct mental objects and essence of the linear function concept. The students used the proportionality as composite units, when they represented the phenomenon with constant rate of change into tables. When representing in graphs, all but one student represented it into a line. There were differences among the students in the level they were using the given conditions, co-variation perspective, and corresponding rules when formulating equations. The students compared the relationship between two variables in a multiplicative way, and under the guidance of teachers they reached to the understanding that its relationship becomes a constant. Moreover, they could construct mental objects of a constant rate of change, understanding the situation where the relationship between time difference and distance difference becomes one value, namely speed. The students had difficulties in connecting the rate of change with the inclination of a line. The students constructed the essence (concept) of linear functions, after building and organizing the image that the rate of change is constant, the graph is linear, and the equation is formulated as y=ax+b (a: inclination, b: intercept).

Objectives: This study examines the foodservice status of kindergartens attached to elementary schools in Seoul. We further determine the perception of elementary school principals and kindergarten assistant principals on the foodservice management for kindergartens. Methods: This survey was conducted from July 17 to 23, 2019, enrolling 207 kindergartens attached to elementary schools in Seoul. Questionnaires were sent to principals of elementary schools and assistant principals of kindergartens, and the data obtained from 89 kindergartens were included in the analysis. The questionnaire consisted of four parts: general information on subjects, foodservice management status, foodservice management status during elementary school vacations, and the perception of principals of elementary schools and assistant principals of kindergartens on foodservice management. Data are presented as frequency and percentage or mean and standard deviation. Statistical comparison between principals of elementary schools and assistant principals of kindergartens was conducted by paired t-test, chi-square test, and Pearson's correlation analysis. Results: A separate menu (10.1%) or recipe (20.2%) that considers preschooler characteristics was rarely used for foodservice at kindergartens attached to elementary schools. Most kindergartens did not have a separate dining space (3.4%) or a dedicated cook (93.3%). Although most kindergartens (92.1%) had operational foodservice during elementary school vacations, non-professional staff and non-nutrition teacher were mainly in charge of organizing the menu and purchasing ingredients (34.1% and 41.5%, respectively). The rate of using a contract catering company (28.0%, 23.2%) was also high. Both elementary school principals and assistant principals of kindergartens showed a high perception of the necessity for providing responsibility allowances for nutrition teachers and improving the cooking environment for kindergartens during elementary school vacations. Conclusions: There is a need for policies and administrative support measures to improve the quality of foodservices for kindergartens attached to elementary schools.

In a world of uncertainty and complexity, leadership is essential to lead collaborative and positive interactions among employees. In other words, if members share opinions and work through voluntary leadership, they will respond more effectively to uncertain challenges and get closer to the targeted management performance. Therefore, in this study, we would like to elucidate the importance of shared leadership, which has recently become an issue. We will examine the impact of shared leadership on team efficacy, team organizational citizenship behavior, and turnover intention. A survey was conducted among members working in a team organization in Busan, and the results were as follows. First, the effects of shared leadership on team efficacy were found to have significant positive(+) effects, such as the hypotheses set at planning and organizing 0.202(C.R.=2.853), problem solving 0.463(C.R.=5.620), support and caring 0.237(C.R.=3.326), and development and mentoring 0.366(C.R.=5.132), respectively. Second, the effects of team efficacy on team organizational citizenship behavior and turnover intention were 0.545(C.R.=5.895) and -0.143(C.R.=-0.817), respectively, and team efficacy was found to have a positive(+)positive(+) effect on team organizational citizenship behavior, but team efficacy did not have a significant effect on turnover intention.

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between social-emotional isolation, depression, and smartphone addiction of college students who experienced social distancing caused by COVID-19 and to identify the factors influencing smartphone addiction of college students. Total of 220 students from four universities participated in this study, and data collection was conducted by organizing a questionnaire in a Google form. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 28.0. There were significantly correlation among smartphone addiction of college students, social-emotional isolation (r=.44, p<.001) and depression (r=.51, p<.001). The factors affecting smartphone addiction of college students were gender (β=.176, p=.001), weekend smartphone usage time 7-9 hours (β=.387, p=.001), 10-12 hours (β=.313, p=.006), 12 hours or more (β=.299, p=<.001), depression (β=.302, p<.001), and social-emotional isolation (β=.210, p=.004). The regression model was statistically significant (F=15.81, p<.001). The explanatory power of the model was 43% (adj R2=.43, p<.001). Therefore, in order to prevent smartphone addiction of college students, it is necessary to develop and utilize a mental health promotion program that can reduce social-emotional isolation and depression.

Filmic spaces are not only a core expressive factors that can embody both internal and external meanings of films, but also play an important role for initiating dramatic context in terms of narratives. They establish visible environment in which provocative incidents occur and characters' behaviors are induced, include characters' psychology or emotional meanings of narratives and provoke tensions through symbolic meanings and the implicit function of surface background. This paper, therefore, analyzes the film, , by focusing on the dramatic function of narrative space. This film provides insights and thoughts through deep philosophical reflection, by escaping from the convention of such a genre, through deep philosophical reflection, by escaping from the convention of such a genre, though it belongs seemingly to the crime thriller genre using Mexico's drug cartel as it main material. In the film, narrative spaces are responsible for emotions invoking dramatic tensions beyond provocative incidents and the elaborately planned and controlled mise-en-scene absorbed audiences' attention by organizing ultimate suspense. In conclusion, flow and dramatic lingering imagery of this film might be achieved by power of scenes rather than plot factors. This study thus explained the correlation between narrative spaces and dramatic immersion, by analyzing spaces appearing in and visualized construction. It is hoped that this will further extends the pattern of researches on dramatic immersion, which have been primarily focused on plots and characters.
