The effect of Organizational Culture on Organizational Justice and Job Performance

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between organizational culture (innovation culture, relationship culture, hierarchy culture, task culture) as perceived by organizational members and its impact on organizational justice and job performance. This contributes to providing additional data for the revitalization and development of the organizational system for efficient management and operation measures included in the organization's sustainable management. To this end, the hypothesis established through the traditional process of quantitative research was tested as follows. First, organizational culture showed a positive effect on organizational justice. Second, organizational culture had a positive (+) effect on job performance. Third, organizational justice was significantly analyzed in terms of job performance. In other words, the importance of systematic re-establishment and continuous implementation of organizational culture (innovation culture, relationship culture, hierarchy culture, task culture) and organizational justice consistent with organizational characteristics was emphasized in order to improve job performance, which is the result of organizational competitiveness. In addition, it is the aspect of drawing practical implications for strategic human resource management and human resource development to systematically improve it.

  • This study was conducted to grasp problems of the present and investigate the real condition of organizations by making how an organizational ISO/TS 16949 quality management system has a positive effect on process improvement, perceived organizational support has a significant effect on the relationship between ISO/TS 16949 requirements and process improvement, process improvement has a positive effect on customer satisfaction and organizational performance research projects. For doing them, it tris to suggest an effective application plan of ISO/TS 16949 certification through improvements about corporate quality management systems of the automobile field by investigating and analyzing literature of the precedent studies and ISO/TS 16949 certification effects actually, conducting and analyzing an survey on effects on customer satisfaction and organizational performance, and drawing the problems.

조직의 지식창출에 대한 학습조직의 구조적 특성 및 학습자 특성의 효과 : 인지된 조직지원의 조절효과 (The Effects of Learning Organization, Learner's Characteristics on Organizational Knowledge Creation: The Role of Perceived Organizational Support as A Moderator)

  • This paper is aimed at investigating the influence of the learning organization's structural characteristics, learner's characteristics, and perceived organizational support (POS) on organizational knowledge creation. also the POS is tested as a moderator on the relationship between learner's characteristics including learning goal orientation and learning self-efficacy and organizational knowledge creation. the results are as follows. for main effect hypotheses, both connecting the organization to its environment and establishing systems to capture and share learning system representing learning organization's structural characteristics have significant positive impact on organizational knowledge creation. the POS also has a significant impact on organizational knowledge creation. However, learning goal orientation and learning self-efficacy have not significant impact on organizational knowledge creation. for moderating effect hypothesis, POS moderates the relationship between learning goal orientation and organizational knowledge creation, which means if the POS is high then learning goal orientation has more significant positive impact on it. Based on our findings, we conclude that structural characteristics of learning organization provide organizations with an opportunity of knowledge creation. in particular, interconnectedness of organization with environment and organizational knowledge sharing systems determine the ways of behaving that are related to learning within organizations. however, learner's characteristics did not have a significant effect on organizational knowledge creation, which could be interpreted due to the fact that employees are not motivated to create new knowledge if they are rarely required to involve challenging works, generate new knowledge, or share preexisted knowledge with others.

  • Many companies have been implementing Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for their organizational transformation in order to survive and achieve strategic advantages in an increasing competitive business environment. Thus, it is meaningful to identify factors that affect ERP system operation positively. Organizational citizenship behaviors (OCB) are discretionary, extra-role behaviors of employees which go beyond the prescribed formal roles, and are known as to be the contribution factors for organization performance. The purpose of this study is to develop the measurements for the OCB constructs in ERP system context and empirically test the relationships between the OCB construct and ERP system success. The four constructs - altruism, conscientiousness and courtesy, civic virtue, and sportsmanship - and fifteen measurements on the OCB were developed based on previous studies (i.e. Organ 1988) and empirically verified by confirmatory factor analysis. The results of testing the relationships between the OCB and ERP system success show that the OCB have a significant direct impact on the information quality and intention of IT innovation while they have an indirect impact on work efficiency mediated by information quality. This study enhances the OCB model into information system arena and helps better understand the user behaviors of information systems.

의료과오를 줄이기 위한 효율적인 병원서비스운영에 대한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study on the Efficient Hospital Service Operation Management for the Reduction of Medical Errors)

  • This paper presents a research model, which identifies a relationship between medical error reduction, efficiency of organizational systems, and employee satisfaction with organizational support. The proposed model was tested through hypotheses, based on data collected from 210 respondents from the medical staff of large -sized (i.e., more than 500 beds) residential hospitals in cities of South Korea. The results of the study showed that medical error reduction is associated with corrective system and employee satisfaction with organizational support. Therefore, it is very important that organizations improve their employees' satisfaction by providing sufficient support (e.g., information support and sharing, work guide book, etc.) for their work. In addition, in organizational systems, the corrective system has positive relationship with medical error reduction. In terms of corrective procedures, leaders or managers can make improvements by providing and supporting a friendly work environment where errors may be reported without blame and discussed in order to be corrected.

정보화경영체제 실행이 조직성과에 미치는 영향도 모델 개발 (A Model of the influence of IMS operation on organizational performance)

  • 본 연구는 정보화경영체제의 운영이 조직행동 및 구성원의 성과에 미치는 영향을 파악할 수 있는 모형을 개발하고자 하였다. IMS의 운영과 조직성과에 대한 조사를 통하여 양자 간의 상관관계를 찾고자 하는 것이다. 그 결과 IMS를 인식하는 수준은 조직성과의 수준은 결정한다는 것을 발견하였으며 조직성과를 증진시키고 지속적인 경영을 수행하기 위해서는 IMS가 주요변수가 될 수 있다는 점을 제시하게 되었다. 향후 조직성과 분석과 효율적인 IMS의 운영방법에 대한 논의가 요구된다.

공학계열 일학습병행제 학생의 자아존중감과 학습전이가 조직몰입도에 미치는 영향 - 자기효능감을 매개로 (The Influence of Self-esteem and Transfer of Learning on Organizational Commitment, in Korean Work-Learning Dual System of Engineering Students - Mediated by Self-efficacy)

  • This study attempted to develop an efficient management plan that allows both workers and organizations to coexist by analyzing the factors that influence the level of organizational immersion of engineering students. Analysis methods included frequency analysis, t-test, pearson correlation analysis, and hierarchical analysis. Firstly, self-esteem and transfer of learning were influential factors on organizational commitment. Second, self-esteem and transfer of learning were influencing factors of self-efficacy. Third, self-efficacy was an influential factor in organizational commitment. Fourth, self-efficacy appeared as a mediating effect on self-esteem and organizational immersion in learning transfer. Therefore, it is necessary to look for various factors that can increase self-efficacy, and to find opportunities for students to be highly immersed in the organization while studying at the same time.

The effect of Adversity Index Perceived by Organizational Members on Entrepreneurial Orientation and Organizational Learning Competency

  • We study confirmed the relationship between the adversity index, entrepreneurial orientation, and organizational learning competency perceived by organizational members as follows. First, the adversity index showed a positive (+) effect on entrepreneurial orientation (hypothesis 1) and organizational learning competency (hypothesis 2). Second, the entrepreneurial orientation was statistically significant in organizational learning competency (hypothesis 3). Third, the partial mediating role of entrepreneurial orientation (Hypothesis 4) was confirmed in the process of the adversity index affecting organizational learning competency. Meanwhile, the main implications of this study are as follows. First, it is the aspect that provides additional theoretical implications in the reality that studies on the adversity index and entrepreneurial orientation that affect organizational learning competency are lacking. Second, it is the aspect that the importance of adversity index and start-up orientation was confirmed in improving organizational learning competency based on securing differentiated competitiveness for the advancement of the organization's sustainability management system. In addition, it is the aspect of drawing practical implications for strategic human resource management and human resource development to systematically improve it.

직무 소진이 조직몰입과 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향: 가족친화 조직인식의 조절 효과를 중심으로 (Effects of Job Burnout on Organization Commitment and Organizational Citizen Behavior: A Moderating Effect of Family-Supportive Organization Perception)

  • Objectives: Work-Family Balance (WFB) is a significant social issue in Korea. We examined the effects of employees' burnout on organizational performances by determining the moderating effect of family-friendly organizational culture in firefighter's organization. Methods: To test the hypothesis, data were collected from firefighters who are working at five fire stations in Deajeon and Chungnam province. Based on quantitative survey from 489 respondents, hierarchical regression analyses were performed. Results: The analysis revealed that job burnout had a negative effect on both organizational commitment (OC) and organizational citizen behavior (OCB). Family-Supportive Organization Perception (FSOP) negatively moderated the relationship between burnout and OCB. On the other hand, there was no significant moderating effect of FSOP on the relationship between burnout and OC. Conclusions: This study raises the importance of creating an organizational culture that gives its members a belief that the organization guarantees and supports the work-family balance system.

발전공기업의 성과지향보수제도가 조직몰입 및 조직성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 실증 연구 (An Empirical Study on the Performance-oriented remuneration system in the public companies of thermal power generation effects on Organization Commitment and Organizational Performance)

  • 본 연구는 발전공기업의 성과지향보수제도가 실질적으로 직원들의 조직몰입도를 유도하여 조직의 효율성 및 조직성과 제고에 기여하는 지의 여부를 실증적으로 분석하여 공기업의 성과지향보수제도가 나아가야 할 방향을 제시해보려고 했다. 연구결과에 의하면 성과연봉제의 개인별 성과보상 적정성과 성과연봉 확정을 위한 개인별 근무평정은 조직몰입에 유의한 영향을 미치는 반면, 성과배분제의 외부평가(정부경영평가) 및 내부평가는 조직몰입에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 성과연봉제와 성과배분제 모두는 조직성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 성과지향보수제도 중 성과연봉제의 보상적정성 및 개인별 근무평정은 조직성과에 직접적으로 영향을 미치며, 조직몰입을 경유하여 간접적으로도 조직성과에 영향을 주어 조직몰입도의 부분적 매개효과가 있음이 검증되었으나, 외부평가와 내부평가는 조직몰입과의 영향관계가 유의하지 못하여 매개효과 검증의 의미가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과가 시사하고 있는 점은 공정하고 수용성 있는 평가지표 개발 및 성과지향 보수체계에 대한 제도운영 정책을 회사, 노조 및 직원 모두의 지혜를 모아 수립하여 시행한다면 성과지향보수제도가 회사에 대한 직원들의 애사심 고취 및 조직성과를 향상시켜 국민과 정부에게 신뢰받는 진정한 공기업으로서의 역할을 할 수 있게 된다는 것이다.
