Mo 단결정 표면에 황을 흡착시켜 형성된 상층구조를 AES와 LEED로써 연구하였다. 황의 피복률은 sulfur gun으로부터 생성되는 S2 flux로써 조절하였으며, 여러 가지 흡착된 황의 상층구조를 LEED로써 관찰하였다. 황화된 Mo 표면에서 탈산소반응(HDO)의 모델 분자로서, Furan의 흡착과 반응을 승온반응분광법(TPRS)으로 조사하였다. 낮은 온도에서 Furan 분자의 헤테로 원자는 직접 이탈하여 안정한 기체상의 반응 생성물인 일산화탄소를 형성하였으며, 이 반응은 Mo의 (100) 및 (110)면에서 각각 깨끗한 표면 및 황화된 표면에 관계없이 일어났다. 이를 바탕으로 Mo 표면에서 Furan의 분해반응에 대한 메카니즘을 제안하였다.

Trot(1999) considered how to calculate the expected area of a random triangle in the unit square $[0,1]{\times}[0,1]$. He used the Mathematica software package for the computational part. In this article, we study various aspects of the probability distribution of a triangle randomly chosen inside the circle of radius r. A simulation activity that can be conducted in statistics and probability classrooms is also considered.

낮은 pH2.0∼3.0에서 어육단백질을 가용화시킨 후, 어육 단백질의 등전점에 해당하는 pH 5.0 부근에서 근형질 및 근원섬유의 대부분을 회수하고, 다시 pH 조절을 통하여 수리미를 조제하는 방법은 등전점 침전법을 이용하기 때문에 일반적인 수리미 수세 공정에서 손실되는 근형질 단백질을 회수하여 수리미 수율을 높일 수 있고, 어육에 포함된 고가의 지질을 회수하기가 쉬우며, 수세수를 현저히 절감할 뿐 만 아니라 식품 첨가물로서의 어육 단백질의 소재 개발이 쉬운 장점을 지니고 있다. (중략)

Conventional surimi processing from white flesh fish, such as Pacific whiting and Alaska Pollee utilizes only <25％ of the body (Toyoda and others 1992; Park and others 1997). Conventional surimi is refined myofibrillar proteins processed by removing unnecessary foreign materials such as fat, pigment skin, and water soluble sarcoplasmic proteins. The acid-aided process demonstrated excellent gel forming ability for cod and mackerel with extremely higher yield (Hultin and Kelleher 1999). (omitted)

We examine the moduli space of oriented locally homogeneous manifolds of Type ${\mathcal{A}}$ which have non-degenerate symmetric Ricci tensor both in the setting of manifolds with torsion and also in the torsion free setting where the dimension is at least 3. These exhibit phenomena that is very different than in the case of surfaces. In dimension 3, we determine all the possible symmetry groups in the torsion free setting.

A latitudinal, differential pH distribution is observed in the Northeastern Pacific Ocean with a pH range of 8.15 at high latitude (42 N) to 8.29 at low latitude (23 N). These pH values are generally greater than the calculated equilibrium pH with respect to atmospheric carbon dioxide. If we assume that the calculated equilibrium pH values ae valid, then the surface waters are undersaturated with respect to the atmospheric carbon dioxide during April to June 1966. A high surface pH value of about 8.26 was observed immediately south of the SubarcticBoundary zone near 170 W. This value differs from the equilibration pH by as much as 0.1 unit.
