Noninformative Priors for the Common Scale Parameter in the Inverse Gaussian Distributions

  • In this paper, we develop the noninformative priors for the common scale parameter in the inverse gaussian distributions. We developed the first and second order matching priors. Next we revealed that the second order matching prior satisfies a HPD matching criterion. Also we showed that the second order matching prior matches alternative coverage probabilities up to the second order. It turns out that the one-at-a-time reference prior satisfies a second order matching criterion. Some simulation study is performed.

  • We introduce the notion of two-scale convergence for partial differential equations with random coefficients that gives a very efficient way of finding homogenized differential equations with random coefficients. For an application, we find the homogenized matrices for linear second order elliptic equations with random coefficients. We suggest a natural way of finding the two-scale limit of second order equations by considering the flux term.

  • In this paper, we develop noninformative priors for the generalized Pareto distribution when the scale parameter is of interest. We developed the rst order and the second order matching priors. We revealed that the second order matching prior does not exist. It turns out that the reference prior and Jeffrey's prior do not satisfy a first order matching criterion, and Jeffreys' prior, the reference prior and the matching prior are different. Some simulation study is performed and a real example is given.

  • This paper is for studying stress condition of apprentice doctors who were in Oriental Medical Hospital. This study was done on 35 apprentice doctors who were in Kyungsang University Oriental Medical Hospital and Bulgy Oriental Medical Hospital. The Seven-Minute Stress Test of Thomas E. Sttats and 10 questions which were made by the present writer shows the following results.1. The Body stress scale was the highest point. In order of high percent, this shows Whole scale, Mind scale, Situation scale. 2. In comparison of the stress scale of men and women doctors, all the stress scale of women doctors were higher than men doctors. 3. In comparison of the stress scale of Interne and Resident doctors, Whole and Situation stress scale of Resident doctors were higher than Interne doctors, Body and Mind stress scale of Interne doctors were higher than Resident doctors. 4. The personal relation with other people was harmonious, the worst relation of the other colleague was the administrative staff, the next were nurses, senior apprentice doctors orderly. 5. In order of high percent of stressors, this shows personal relation, many works and troubles of care, the lack of private life, unsatisfactory administration system and equipment, the class system and overbearing atmospheres, education and continuous stress, bad conditions and fatigue, economic problems. 6. In order of high percent of systemic stress diseases, this shows musculo- skeletal disease, nervous disease, digestive disease, neurosis, urinary and genital disorder, opthalomo-otolaryngo disease, immunity disorder and vascular disease. In order of high percent of stress symptom, this show headache, fatigue, shoulder pain, back and leg pain, pantalgia and abdominal pain, diarrhea and dismenorrhea, stiffness of neck dizziness indigestion languor after a meal insomnia, neurasthenia lacking interest constipation menorrhalgia bloodshot eyes otitis media allergy thirst flushing edema. 7. In order of the seven mode of emotions in relation to stress, this shows anger, anxiety, isolation, melancholy, fright, sorrow, terror, overjoy.

단결정 철의 소성에 대한 멀티스케일 모델링 (Multi-scale Modeling of Plasticity for Single Crystal Iron)

  • Atomistic simulations have become useful tools for exploring new insights in materials science, but the length and time scale that can be handled with atomistic simulations are seriously limiting their practical applications. In order to make meaningful quantitative predictions, atomistic simulations are necessarily combined with higher-scale modeling. The present research is thus concerned with the development of a multi-scale model and its application to the prediction of the mechanical properties of body-centered cubic(BCC) iron with an emphasis on the coupling of atomistic molecular dynamics with meso-scale discrete dislocation dynamics modeling. In order to achieve predictive multi-scale simulations, it is necessary to properly incorporate atomistic details into the meso-scale approach. This challenge is handled with the proposed hierarchical information passing strategy from atomistic to meso-scale by obtaining material properties and dislocation mobility. Finally, this fundamental and physics-based meso-scale approach is employed for quantitative predictions of the mechanical response of single crystal iron.

레이놀즈 응력의 난류구배수송을 위한 텐서시간척도 (Tensorial Time Scales for Turbulent Gradient Transport of Reynolds Stresses)

  • On the notion that the Reynolds stresses are transported with different time scale depending on the transport direction, the third order velocity correlations are represented by a new turbulent gradient transport model with tonsorial Lagrangian time scale. In order to verify the proposed model, DNS data are first obtained in a turbulent channel flow at Re = 180 and tonsorial Lagrangian time scales are computed. The present model predictions are compared with DNS data and those predicted by the third-order turbulent transport model of Hanjalic and Launder that uses a scalar time scale. The result demonstrates that the Reynolds stresses are indeed transported with different time scale depending on the transport direction.

  • In this paper, an expert system is proposed, which can be effectively applied to the large-scale systems with the diversity time constraints, the objectives and the unfixed system structure. The inference scheme of the expert system have the integrated structure composed of the intuitive inference module and logical inference module in order to support effectively the operating constraints of system. The intuitive inference module is designed using the pattern matching or pattern recognition method in order to search a same or similar pattern under the fixed system structure. On the other hand, the logical inference module is designed as the structure with the multiple inference mode based on the heuristic search method in order to determine the optimal or near optimal control strategies satisfing the time constraints for system events under the unfixed system structure, and in order to use as knowledge generator. Here, inference mode consists of the best-first, the local-minimum tree, the breadth-iterative, the limited search width/time method. Finally, the application results for large-scale distribution SCADA system proves that the inference scheme of the expert system is very effective for the large-scale system. The expert system is implemented in C language for the dynamic mamory allocation method, database interface, compatability.

  • 이미지 검색 및 매칭에 사용되는 SIFT 기법은 다양한 이미지 변화 요인들에 대하여 강인한 특성을 가지고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. SIFT 기법은 기존의 픽셀 단위의 변화량에 의존한 특징점 추출 방식을 확장하여 스케일 공간에서의 변화량 분석을 통한 특징점 추출 방식을 제시하였으며, 이렇게 추출된 특징점들의 강인함은 그 동안 여러 실험을 통하여 입증되었다. 또한, 최근에는 스케일 공간 변화량 분석에 있어서 기존의 SIFT 기법을 확장하여 고차 미분 계수를 이용한 특징점 추출 방법도 소개되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 스케일 공간의 고차 미분에서의 정규화를 통한 보다 강인한 특징점 추출 기법을 소개하고 이러한 특징점들의 강인함을 이미지 검색 실험을 통하여 입증한다.

  • 본고에서는 그래프를 이용하여 stable law분포의 index, skewness, scale, location 모수들에 대한 추정방법을 제시한다. 먼저, order statistics의 함수인 tail length statistic $K_{t}$ , skewness statistic $K_{s}$ 를 이용하여 index .alpha., scale .betha.를 추정한다. 다음에는, 추정된 .alpha., .betha.를 index로 하여 개발된 그래프들로 부터 scale .sigma., location .mu.추정에 필요한 order statistics의 함수를 결정한다. 몇가지 예를 마지막에 예시한다.

  • 최근 화재와 관련된 연구가 활발해지면서 축소모형실험 등을 통한 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 실물화재 실험과의 직접적인 상관관계를 설명하기에는 충분하지 못하기 때문에 실물화재에 대한 관심이 증가되어 왔다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 산소소모율법을 적용한 10 MW급 라지스케일로리미터를 개발하였으며, 헵탄 풀 화재를 이용한 발열량 보정을 수행하였다. 그 결과 신뢰성 높은 보정결과를 얻었으며, 보다 진보적인 실물화재연구에 적용할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
