지역의 산업구조 다양성이 지역경제에 미치는 영향분석 (Regional Industrial Diversity and Economic Growth and Employment Instability in Korea)

  • The strategy of regional industrial specialization is empirically evaluated by examining the relationship between regional industrial structures and economic performances. The regional industrial structure is measured by three industrial diversity indices such as ogive approach, entropy maximizing approach, and economic growth and employment instability in 12 regions is analyzed. According to the time series analysis, we found that the region with more diversified industrial structure experiences more stable in employment. Otherwise, the growth rate of the region with more simplified industrial structure is higher. Therefore, the strategy of industrial specialization is implemented in order to pursuit a rapid economic growth in the short run.

  • 본 연구는 인문사회과학을 통합하는 간 학문적 실천적 녹색성장 융합 교육을 효과적으로 실시하기 위하여 u-프로젝트 교수 학습 모형을 개발 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 교사, 예비교사, 중학생을 대상으로 녹색성장에 대한 인식수준 조사, 녹색성장 10대 정책방향과 중등/사범대학 교육과정 간 연관성 분석, 녹색성장 융합교육을 위한 교수 학습 내용요소를 추출하였다. 그리고 녹색성장 u-프로젝트 교수 학습의 핵심활동 요소와 절차를 구안한 후 중등학교 상황에 적용하기 용이하도록 교수 학습의 세부 진행모형을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 모형을 통해 녹색성장의 필요성과 타당성에 대한 이해를 증진시키는 것과 동시에 인문사회과학을 통합하는 간 학문적 실천적 교육이 가능할 것으로 예상된다.

파괴역학 기반 피로 수명 평가를 위한 피로 균열 진전 파라미터에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fatigue Crack Growth Parameters for Fatigue Life Assessment based on Fracture Mechanics)

  • Recent studies on the fatigue assessment of high strength steel weld based on the fracture mechanics have frequently raised the problems related to the conservatism in the fatigue crack growth rate specified in the relevant design code. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of the fatigue crack growth parameter on the fatigue life for the low carbon steel weld. In order to do it, the fatigue tests with the constant stress ratio were performed to evaluate the fatigue crack growth rate in the butt weld of SM490. And the fatigue crack growth parameters of the weld were evaluated in accordance with ASTM E647. From the comparative fatigue assessment results, it was found that the fatigue crack growth rate specified in the relevant design code was too conservative to estimate the residual fatigue life of welded structure. So, in order to get the more reliable results, it was recommended that the fatigue life estimation based on the fracture mechanics be performed with the fatigue crack growth parameter specified by test.

Outlier Detection in Growth Curve Model

  • For the growth curve model with arbitrary covariance structure, known as unstructured covariance matrix, the problems of detecting outliers are discussed in this paper. In order to detect outliers in the growth curve model, the test statistics using U-distribution is established. After detecting outliers in growth curve model, we test homo and/or hetero-geneous covariance matrices using PSR Quasi-Bayes Criterion. For illustration, one numerical example is discussed, which compares between before and after outlier deleting.

총체적 인적자본형성의 경제성장에 대한 기여도 분석

  • The Purpose of this study is to analyze the contribution of the total human capital formation to economic growth in Korea. In order to assess the contribution of the total human capital formation to economic growth, aggregate production functions are estimated using two ways of ordinary least squares and polynomial distributed lags based on 1955 - 1988 time series data in Korea. The total amount of investment in human capital is calculated by adding each amount of investment in formal education, vocational training, inter-provincial migration, and health in pecuniary terms. The findings of this study could be summarized as follows ; (1) If we enumerate the variables in good order according to the importance, we get the following ; namely, total number of labor force, inter-provincial migration, vocational training, health, physical capital, and formal education. (2) The contribution of the human capital to economic growth is much more larger than that of physical capital. In particular, it appears that inter-provincial migration and vocational training make a great contribution to economic growth. (3) It appears that investment in formal education has a continuous effect for fifteen years and maximum effect is observed approximately eight years later. In the case of vocational training, the effect of investment lasts for about 12-14 years and its effect on economic growth reaches maximum with the passage of seven to eight years after initial investment. (4) Investment in vocational training contributes more in the long run compared with investment in formal education. The effect of investment in formal education lasts longer than that of vocational training, while the effect of investment in vocational training is considerably larger in the short run compared with the investment in formal education.

수종의 식물생장촉진 근권세균이 암면과 코코피트경 오이의 생장에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Virious Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria on the Growth of Hydroponically Grown Cucumber Plants in Rockwool and Cocopeat Culture)

  • 수종의 근권세균이 양액재배 오이의 생장에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여 Azospirillum sp., Rhodopseudomonas sp., Pseudomonas sp., Bacillus sp.와 Corynebacterium glutamicum간의 융합균주 등을 근권처리하였다. 융합균주의 근권처리후 4일에 세균의 밀도변화르르 보면 코코피트 > 암면 > 배양액 등의 순으로 나타났다. 균주의 근권처리에 따른 오이의 생장촉진효과는 암면경보다 코코피트경에서 더 높았으며, 균주의 종류별 오이의 생장촉진효과를 보면 Azospirillum sp. > 광합성세균 $\ge$ 융합균주 Pseudomonas sp. > 대조구 등의 순으로 나타났다.

연초의 근권환경이 뿌리와 지상부의 생육에 미치는 영향 (The effect of root zone environment on the growth of shoot and root of tobacco plant)

  • This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of growth medium in pots composed of upland soil(S), rice straw manure(M), carbonated rice hull(CRH), and their mixture on growth of tobacco cv. NC 82. The growth of shoot and root was vigorous in order of medium S+M+CRH>M>CRH>S. In M+S medium, root growth in the part of manure was superior to upland soil. But root growth of upland soil part in M+S plot was more vigorous than that in upland soil only. It is possibly due to be influenced by manure in M+S plot. Total length and weight of root, number of roots, and especially for development of adventitious root were closely related to shoot growth. Roots grown in upland soil part was brownish gray in color, while the roots in manure part was milky white. The milky white colored roots had longer life than others. It was concluded that root zone environments derived from several media in pots closely related to shoot growth and disease tolerance of tobacco plant.

The Role of Professors' Intellectual Stimulation for Intellectual Growth among Chinese Students Who Study in Korea: The Moderating Effect of Growth Need Strength

  • Professor's role is one of various ways to improve students' academic achievement. Professors can be role models for students, motivate them to achieve higher performance, and have various influences on them. Therefore, depending on professor's role, students' attitudes and behaviors may be different, and their academic achievements may also be different. In this regard, this research focused on the intellectual growth that can be regarded as Chinese students' academic achievement. Thus, the importance of professor's intellectual stimulation behavior was emphasized and it was clarified as a way to improve the intellectual growth. Furthermore, students with a higher level of growth need strength, they are more likely to have higher intellectual growth because they put a premium on their self-growth. In order to increase the influence of professor's intellectual stimulation, we focused on the student's growth need strength. Thus, this research examined the moderating effect of growth need strength between intellectual stimulation and intellectual growth. The results showed that intellectual stimulation improved intellectual growth. In addition, growth need strength positively moderated the relationship between intellectual stimulation and intellectual growth. Therefore, it suggested the implications that professors should behave appropriate behavior according to students' personal characteristics.

KINETICS OF AUTOTROPHIC DENITRIFICATION FOR THE BIOFILM FORMED ON SULFUR PARTICLES : Evaluation of Molecular Technique on Monitoring Biomass Growth

  • Characteristics of sulfur-based autotrophic denitrification in a semi-continuous type reactor and the kinetic parameters were studied. Enriched autotrophic denitrifying culture was used for the reactor operation. Biomass growth on sulfur particles and in the liquid medium was monitored using the DAPI staining method. From the result of ion concentration changes and the biomass growth, maximum specific growth rate, ${\mu}_{max}$, and the half velocity constant, $K_M$, were estimated as $0.61\;d^{-1}$ and 3.66 mg/L, respectively. Growth yield coefficient, Y values for electron acceptor and donor were found as 0.49 gVSS/g N and 0.16 gVSS/g S. The biomass showed specific denitrification rate, ranging 0.86-1.13 gN/g VSS-d. A half-order equation was found to best simulate the denitrification process in the packed bed reactor operated in the semi-continuous mode.

형상 최적화를 위한 성장-변형률법의 적용 (Application of the Growth-Strain Method for Shape Optimization)

  • The growth-strain method was used for shape optimization, which carries out the optimization by distributing uniformly the distributed parameter such as von Mises stress and shear strain energy density. Shape optimization is carried out by iteration of stress analysis and growth strain analysis. In this study, the effect of growth ratio in the method was investigated and then the range of the adequate value of the growth ratio was determined. Also the growth-strain method was improved by applying the linear PID control theory in order to control volume required by a designer. Finally, an automatic shape optimization system was built up by the improved growth-strain method with a commercial software using finite element method. The effectiveness and practicability of the developed shape optimization system was verified by some examples.
