  • The goal of the secret message communication on the internet is to maintain invisibility and confidentiality. Digital steganography is a technique in which a secret message is inserted in a cover medium and transmitted to a destination so that a third party can not perceive the existence of the message itself. Steganography is an efficient method for ensuring confidentiality and integrity together with encryption techniques. In order to insert a secret (Hangul) message, I propose a image steganography method that the secret character is separated and converted into binary code with reference to the encryption table, the cover image is divided into two areas, and the secret message and the right l-LSB information of the second area are encrypted and crossed, concealing the k-LSB of the first region. The experimental results of the proposed method show that the PSNR value is 52.62 and the acceptable image quality level.

  • In this paper, a new handover management scheme has been proposed to reduce handover latency and to support fast handover without packet losses, so that it may be applicable to the wireless mobile Internet system such as IPv6-based WiBro system. To minimize the handover latency in processing of movement detection, we propose the handover management scheme which simplifies the handover message exchanging procedure between mobile subscriber station (MSS) and network by integrating layer 2 and layer 3 handovers efficiently based on the layer2 information. To reduce the processing delay from new care-of-address (NCoA) configuration during handover, we propose that NCoA is created, distributed and managed by new access control router (NACR). In addition, in order to minimize the packet transmission delay and eliminate the packet losses, the proposed scheme employs a crossover router (CR) which is upper network located over PACR and NACR and employs the packet buffering for MSS. The simulation study shows that the proposed scheme achieves loss-free packet delivery and low latency in the environment of narrow overlapped cell area or high velocity of the MSS, comparing the performance with the conventional schemes.

  • We believe distinguishable product development to be competitive against foreign products, and realize the need to expand domestic business worldwide. In order to be competitive, we should produce fashion items that meets global taste, and at the same time contain exclusive Korean culture and emotional beauty. This article examines and creates unique textile design with the touch of Korean art. Desigus have been proceeded under the following three themes: 'Strong Ego,' 'Gorgeous Days' and 'Song Eternal Seeking Love' using Primavision Computer-aided Design ("CAD"). We have put our interestes in Korean traditional paintings called Hangukhwa. Suitable design motives had been selected and modified from the four gracious plants (bamboos, peonies etc.), and paintings of birds and flowers. Primavision, a CAD software, had been used to manipulate those desigus, and to add instant changes in color, scale, and layout. We had modified Korean traditional motives to make modem image, and had arranged layouts which can be suitable for half-drop repeat and square repeat. The use of color is essential in pattern design. Thus, we explored coloring ways for each design to meet the trends, and the final mapping had been conducted in western style of dresses. We have tried to mix Korean image of textile designs with Western clothing style, expressing hybrid in the mapping process. With global movements, we need to develop products with Korean traditional exotic taste to attract foreign consumers. Therefore, we selected symbolic motives from Korean paintings to express deep spiritual significance. We developed textile design and processed mapping on selected western designer's dress, employing current trend colors and making crossover coordination. We realized Korean painting would be an excellent source for exclusive fabric design, and tried to create a modernized design which maintains Korean ethnical identities.

  • As the game industry is blooming, the generation of contents is far behind the consumption of contents. With this reason, it is necessary to afford the game contents considering level of game player's skill. In order to effectively solve this problem, Procedural Content Generation(PCG) using Artificial Intelligence(AI) is one of the plausible options. This paper proposes the procedural method to generate various monsters considering level of player's skill using genetic algorithm. One gene consists of the properties of a monster and one genome consists of genes for various monsters. A generated monster is evaluated by battle simulation with a player and then goes through selection and crossover steps. Using our proposed scheme, players adaptive monsters are generated procedurally based on genetic algorithm and the variety of monsters which are generated with different number of genome is compared.

  • This paper proposes an improved standard genetic algorithm (GA) of making a near optimal schedule for integrated process planning and scheduling problem (IPPS) considering tool flexibility and tool related constraints. Process planning involves the selection of operations and the allocation of resources. Scheduling, meanwhile, determines the sequence order in which operations are executed on each machine. Due to the high degree of complexity, traditionally, a sequential approach has been preferred, which determines process planning firstly and then performs scheduling independently based on the results. The two sub-problems, however, are complicatedly interrelated to each other, so the IPPS tend to solve the two problems simultaneously. Although many studies for IPPS have been conducted in the past, tool flexibility and capacity constraints are rarely considered. Various meta-heuristics, especially GA, have been applied for IPPS, but the performance is yet satisfactory. To improve solution quality against computation time in GA, we adopted three methods. First, we used a random circular queue during generation of an initial population. It can provide sufficient diversity of individuals at the beginning of GA. Second, we adopted an inferior selection to choose the parents for the crossover and mutation operations. It helps to maintain exploitation capability throughout the evolution process. Third, we employed a modification of the hybrid scheduling algorithm to decode the chromosome of the individual into a schedule, which can generate an active and non-delay schedule. The experimental results show that our proposed algorithm is superior to the current best evolutionary algorithms at most benchmark problems.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of mobilization of the sciatic nerve on hamstring flexibility, lower limb strength, and gait performance in patients with chronic stroke. This study was a randomized clinical trial with a crossover design. Sixteen subjects were recruited for this study. The subjects were randomly divided into two intervention groups and underwent either of the following two interventions: sciatic nerve mobilization or static stretching of the hamstring. We assessed hamstring flexibility, lower limb strength, and gait performance using a digital inclinometer, a hand-held dynamometer, and the 10-meter walk test, respectively. Subjects had a 24-hour rest period between each session in order to minimize carryover effects. Measurements for each test were assessed prior to and immediately after the intervention sessions. Using a two-way analysis of variance test with repeated measures, data from the two trials were analyzed by comparing the differences between both techniques. The level of statistical significance was set at .05. Sciatic nerve mobilization resulted in significantly better knee extensor strength (p=.023, from $15.32{\pm}5.98$ to $18.16{\pm}6.95kg$) and knee flexor strength (p=.011, from $7.80{\pm}4.80$ to $8.15{\pm}4.24kg$) in the experimental group than in the control group. However, no significant effects of static stretching of the hamstring were observed on hamstring flexibility from the ankle plantar flexion (p=.966) and ankle neutral positions (p=.210) and on gait performance (p=.396). This study indicated that the sciatic nerve mobilization technique may be more effective in muscle activation of the knee extensor muscle and knee flexor muscle than hamstring static stretching technique in patients with chronic stroke.

  • Most of the past studies on FMS scheduling problems may be classified into two classes, namely off-line scheduling and on-line scheduling approach. The off-line scheduling methods are used mostly for FMS planning purposes and may not be useful real time control of FMSs, because it generates solutions only after a relatively long period of time. The on-line scheduling methods are used extensively for dynamic real-time control of FMSs although the performance of on-line scheduling algorithms tends vary dramatically depending on various configurations of FMS. Current study is about finding a better on-line scheduling rules for FMS operations. In this study, we propose a method to create priority functions that can be used in setting relative priorities among jobs or machines in on-line scheduling. The priority functions reflect the configuration of FMS and the user-defined objective functions. The priority functions are generated from diverse dispatching rules which may be considered a special priority functions by themselves, and used to determine the order of processing and transporting parts. Overall system of our work consists of two modules, the Priority Function Evolution Module (PFEM) and the FMS Simulation Module (FMSSM). The PFEM generates new priority functions using input variables from a terminal set and primitive functions from a function set by genetic programming. And the FMSSM evaluates each priority function by a simulation methodology. Based on these evaluated values, the PFEM creates new priority functions by using crossover, mutation operation and probabilistic selection. These processes are iteratively applied until the termination criteria are satisfied. We considered various configurations and objective functions of FMSs in our study, and we seek a workable solution rather than an optimum or near optimum solution in scheduling FMS operations in real time. To verify the viability of our approach, experimental results of our model on real FMS are included.

  • Purpose: Pilocarpine has the effects on improvement of salivary flow and subjective symptoms for xerostomic patients. Because of unwanted side effects following its systemic administration, topical pilocarpine has been paid attention as an alternative. This study aimed to investigate effects of pilocarpine solution as mouthwash on salivary flow and adverse effects compared to systemic administration of 5 mg pilocarpine tablet in healthy subjects. Methods: The study was a double blind, placebo-controlled, crossover clinical trial. Five milligrams pilocarpine tablets, 4 mL of 2% pilocarpine solution and placebo solution were given to 12 healthy volunteers (6 males and 6 females) in a predetermined order with wash-out period of at least two days and unstimulated whole saliva was collected before and after administration of each drug. Blood pressure and pulse rate was also measured and subjective effect and potential side effects were evaluated by a self-administrated questionnaire. Results: Systemic (5 mg tablet) and topical (2% solution) use of pilocarpine significantly increased salivary flow rate in healthy subjects compared to placebo (p<0.001). In both the pilocarpine solution and tablet groups, salivary flow rates at 120 minutes after administration remained increased. Subjective effect on salivation was the largest in the pilocarpine tablet group, followed by the pilocarpine solution group (p<0.05). There was no significant difference in blood pressure and pulse rate after administration of all three drugs. Fewer side effects reported in the pilocarpine solution group than in the tablet group. Conclusions: Two percents pilocarpine solution as mouthwash increases salivary flow rate, definitely superior to placebo solution and comparable to pilocarpine tablet, with fewer side effects in healthy subjects. It indicates a possibility of pilocarpine solution as a useful alternative of pilocarpine tablets for the xerostomic patients with systemic diseases.

  • We conducted a single blind, randomized and crossover clinical trial in order to test the effect of curcuma longa herbal mixture on blood alcohol level and alcohol hangover in 19 healthy volunteers. The herbal mixture did not show a statistical significance in $C_{max}$, $T_{max}$ and AUC in alcohol disposition. The herbal mixture did not also ameliorate blood laboratory result after alcohol consumption. In contrast, the herbal mixture is shown effective on alcohol hangover. In behavior tests, the fewer subjects in the herbal mixture group were impaired with alcohol than in reference group. Moreover, the symptom severity score in the herbal mixture was lower than that in reference group. The symptom severity score was statistically especially in stomach pain, diarrhea, concentration disorder, memory and bad breath at drinking day and one day after drinking. These results indicate that the general symptoms seemed to be recovered as time goes on. From these results, it was suggested that the herbal mixture have a beneficial effect on modulating alcohol hangover.
