  • Resistance spot weldability of cold rolled 80kg/mm$^{2}$ and 45kg/mm$^{2}$ grade high strength steel sheets for automobile structure was investigated focussing on the influences of welding parameters such as welding current and welding time on the weld strength and the nugget formation. The results of this study showed that the optimum ranges of welding current for the grade 80 and grade 45 were 5.0 cycle(250 m sec.) It was also shown that the tensile shear strength of the resistance spot weld was strongly influenced by both current and time applied in welding procedure, however, the tensile shear strength was mainly affected by welding time for the higher strength steel.

  • In this paper, a fuel minimizing closed loop explicit inertial guidance algorithm for the orbit injection of a rocket is developed. In this formulation, the fuel burning rate and magnitude of thrust are assumed constant, and the motion of a rocket is assumed to be subject to the average inverse-square gravity, but with negligible atmospheric effects. The optimum thrust angle for obtaining the given velocity vector in the shortest time with minimizing fuel consumption is first determined, and then the additive thrust angle for targeting the final position vectors is determined by using Pontryagin's Maximum Principle. To establish the real time processing, many algorithms of the onboard guidance software are simplified. Simulations for the explicit guidance algorithm, for the 2nd-stage flight of the N-1 rocket, are carried out. The results show that the guidance algorithm works well in the presence of the maximum .+-.10 % initial velocity and altitude error. The effects of the guidance cycle time is also examined.

The motion of rocket is assumed to be subject to the average inverse-square gravity, but negligible effects from atmosphere. The optimum thrust angle to obtain a given velocity vector in the shortest time with minimizing fuel consumption is first determined, and then the additive thrust angle for targeting the final position vector is determined by using Pontryagin's maximum principle. To establish real time processing, many algorithms of onboard guidance software are simplified. The explicit guidance algorithm is simulated on the 2nd-stage flight of the N-1 rocket developed in Japan. The results show that the explicit guidance algorithm works well in the presence of the maximum $\pm$10% initial velocity and altitude errors, and exhibits better performance than the open-loop program guidance. The effects of the guidance cycle time are also examined.

대도시 교통문제 완화를 위한 간선도로별 신호체계의 최적설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimum Design of the Arterial-Based Signal System for the Relief of Transportation Problems in Metropolitan Areas)

  • The main arterial which runs through the in City of Pusan, carries about 60% of downtown traffic or more, maintains about 20% yearly increase in traffic is severely suffering from the traffic congestion because of concentrated traffic volumes regardless of peak-time periods. The purpose of this study was to grasp the traffic, geometric, and signal conditions of the main arterial through the Videologging System Techniques, perform the transportation system analyses, and finally suggest the improvements which could increase the travel capacity, reduce the average delay and fuel consumption with the optimal conditions of signal system. The following conclusions were drawn : firstly the traffic system should be shifted for the travel distribution on the arterial during the peak time periods, secondly the roadway system of the arterial reviewed for left-turn traffic during the peak time periods, and thirdly the signal system of intersection reconstructed for signal optimization or progression within the range of cycle length suggested.

교통량과 보행량을 고려한 대각선 횡단보도 설치기준 정립 방안 연구 (Analysis on Installation Criteria for Scrambled Crosswalks Considering Vehicle and Pedestrian Traffic Volume)

  • 최근에 교통사고는 감소하고 있는 추세이나 상대적으로 심각도가 높은 보행자 사고에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 횡단보도 상의 보행자 사고에 대한 개선을 위해 차량과 보행자의 상충을 줄여 안전한 보행환경을 보장할 수 있는 대각선 횡단보도가 설치되고 있다. 대각선 횡단보도 설치에 앞서 효율성 측면에서의 평가와 설치기준을 제시함으로써 교통량과 보행량 조사만으로 대각선 횡단보도 설치 적절성 여부를 판단할 수 있는 근거가 필요한 상황이다. 본 연구는 교통량과 보행량을 모두 고려한 신호 최적화 모형을 통하여 최적 주기를 도출하고 이를 바탕으로 대각선 횡단보도 설치 전·후 총 지체시간을 비교한다. 최적주기를 산출한 결과, 크게 두 가지 연구의 함의점을 도출해낼 수 있었다. 대각선 횡단보도 설치에 있어 비효율을 초래할 수 있는 차량 교통량 기준점이 존재한다. 또한, 신호 시스템별, 교차로 유형별 적정 설치 용량이 다르기 때문에 설치를 고려하는 횡단보도의 교통량 수준에 따른 적절한 판단기준을 제시하였다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 대각선 횡단보도 설치 전후에 대한 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 검증하였다. 대각선 횡단보도를 설치한 후 보행자의 지연시간이 증대될 수 있으나, 안전 확보를 위해서는 적정 교통량 수준을 고려하여 설치하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 판단된다.

RO 농축수 처리를 위한 SBR 공정 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Application of SBR Process for RO Retentate Treatment)

  • 본 연구는 역삼투공정에서 발생하는 농축수의 생물학적 처리에 관한 것으로, SBR공정의 처리성능 및 부하변동과 온도변화에 따른 효율을 평가하였다. SBR공정의 cycle당 HRT가 각각 8시간과 12시간으로 2가지 형태로 공정운전이 이루어졌으며, RO농축수의 낮은 C/N비 때문에 효과적인 탈질을 위해 메탄올을 주입하였다. 유량과 온도의 변화에도 SBR공정의 질소제거 효율은 비교적 안정적인 것으로 나타났다. SBR공정의 최적 time cycle은 2 cycle/day이지만, 3 cycle/day 조건에서도 방류수 TN 농도가 수질기준 이하로 나타났다. 평가결과 RO 농축수 처리를 위한 SBR공정의 적용은 효과적이었으며, 폐수처리장 설계에 활용이 가능할 것이다. SNR과 SDNR은 각각 $0.043{\sim}0.066kg\;NH_3-N/kg\;MLVSS{\cdot}day$$0.096{\sim}0.287kg\;NH_3^--N/kg\;MLVSS{\cdot}day$로 나타났다. 도출된 동역학적인자는 RO농축수 처리에서 포기조와 무산소조 설계에 적용이 가능할 것이다.

런너밸런스 알고리즘을 이용한 멀티캐비티 최적성형에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Optimum Design of Multi-Cavity Molding Parts Using The Runner Balance Algorithm)

  • The objective of this paper is to present a methodology for automatically balancing multi-cavity injection molds with the aid of flow simulation. After the runner and cavity layout has been designed, the methodology adjusts runner and gate sizes iteratively based on the outputs of flow analysis. This methodology also ensures that the runner sizes in the final design are machinable. To illustrate this methodology, an example is used wherein a 3-cavity mold is modeled and filling of all the cavities at the same time is achieved. Based on the proposed methodology, a multicavity mold with identical cavities is balanced to minimize overall unfilled volume among various cavities at discrete time steps of the molding cycle. The example indicates that the described methodology can be used effectively to balance runner systems for multi-cavity molds.

  • 본 논문에서는 특수 고적의 소형 전자계산기를 단일 뻐스선 방법에 의한 TTL 집적회로로 설계하였으며, 각 지령어의 길이를 16비트르 구성함으로써 더욱 간편한 콤파일러를 연구하였다. 또한 본 실험에서 160nsec의 기본 주기를 택함으로써, TTL IC의 동작시간에 따른 최적치와 기억소자의 악세스 타임이 같게 되었고, 구성 회로도 간단하게 만들어졌으며, 모두 프로그램도 만족하게 처리되었다.

  • A maintenance plan of power system equipment reduces failure rate caused by equipment's age. To prevent unexpected failure, the maintenance is performed periodically according to the interval time. The more expansive equipment's scale is, the more the maintenance without considering costs sustains a economical loss. Hence, the maintenance's time and the cost must be considered when maintenance which is considering the reliability is implemented. In this paper, optimum maintenance interval is calculated by considering minimum maintenance cost of the equipment with the combined cycle units in Korea power systems.

  • A discontinuous reception (DRX) operation is included in the Long Term Evolution (LTE) system to achieve power saving and prolonged battery life of the user equipment. An improvement in DRX power saving usually leads to a potential increase in the packet delay. An optimum DRX configuration depends on the current traffic, which is not easy to estimate accurately, particularly for non-real-time applications. In this paper, we propose a novel way to vary the DRX cycle length, avoiding a continuous estimation of the data traffic when only non-real-time applications are running with no active real-time applications. Because a small delay in non-real-time traffic does not essentially impact the user's experience adversely, we deliberately allow a limited amount of delay in our proposal to attain a significant improvement in power saving. Our proposal also improves the delay in service resumption after a long period of inactivity. We use a stochastic analysis assuming an M/G/1 queue to validate this improvement.
