압력용기용 고온재의 이종재 마찰용접과 AE평가 (Dissimilar Friction Welding of Elevated Temperature Materials for Pressure Vessels and Its AE Evaluation)

  • An opportunity to use the elevated temperature has been recently increasing in various elements of heat facilities or machines such as heat exchanger tubes, pressure vessels, engines of aircraft, boilers and turbines in power plants, and nuclear reactor components, etc. as machinery industry develops. Thus, the development of such elevated-temperature heat-resisting materials and the studies on their elevated-temperature materials friction welding, creep design and analysis have been considered as an important and needful fact. In this paper, friction welding optimization for 1Cr0.5Mo to STS304 and AE applications for the weld quality evaluation were investigated. The important results of this study are as follows : The techniques for dissimilar friction welding optimization of the elevated temperature materials 1Cr0.5Mo and STS304 and its real-time weld quality evaluation by AE were developed, considering on both strength and toughness. Quantitative relationship was identified among welding condition, weld quality and cumulative AE counts.

Automated Audiometry: A Review of the Implementation and Evaluation Methods

  • Objectives: Automated audiometry provides an opportunity to do audiometry when there is no direct access to a clinical audiologist. This approach will help to use hearing services and resources efficiently. The purpose of this study was to review studies related to automated audiometry by focusing on the implementation of an audiometer, the use of transducers and evaluation methods. Methods: This review study was conducted in 2017. The papers related to the design and implementation of automated audiometry were searched in the following databases: Science Direct, Web of Science, PubMed, and Scopus. The time frame for the papers was between January 1, 2010 and August 31, 2017. Initially, 143 papers were found, and after screening, the number of papers was reduced to 16. Results: The findings showed that the implementation methods were categorized into the use of software (7 papers), hardware (3 papers) and smartphones/tablets (6 papers). The used transducers were a variety of earphones and bone vibrators. Different evaluation methods were used to evaluate the accuracy and the reliability of the diagnoses. However, in most studies, no significant difference was found between automated and traditional audiometry. Conclusions: It seems that automated audiometry produces the same results compared with traditional audiometry. However, the main advantages of this method; namely, saving costs and increased accessibility to hearing services, can lead to a faster diagnosis of hearing impairment, especially in poor areas.

NIOSH의 건강유해도 평가 프로그램 (The Health Hazard Evaluation Program by NIOSH)

  • The NIOSH health hazard evaluation program (HHE program) was created in response to the mandate to determine the toxic effect and potential health hazard of workplace exposure, which is found in Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 and the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977, A primary benefit of HHE program is its ability to provide current health hazard data to employers and employees, which assists them in identifying solutions to occupational health and safety problems in their workplaces, The HHE program also stimulates research in the development and review of sampling methods and diagnostic tests and may prompt additional exposure assesment efforts and toxicological and epidemiological studies. HHE projects also provide human exposure-toxicity data that are used to asses the validity of existing occupational health standards and to support criteria for new standards of recommendation, The HHE request is classified into four categories: 1) category 1: As a administratively invalid, 2) category 2: These are valid requests for which a site visit is not essential to an appropriate response, 3) Category 3 : These are valid requests for which a site visit is necessary for an adequate evaluation, 4) These are valid request which present a complex problem or an opportunity for research, To carry out HHE program one or methods of investigation might be used: 1) direct observation and evaluation of production processes and employee work practices 2) employees exposure level and air contamination level 3) medical test or physical examinations of employees 4) private, confidential interviews with employees 5) review of employer's record of injuries and illness, employee exposure data, medical tests and job histories. After investigation and analysing the data, NIOSH issues a final report, giving finding and recommendation.

정신보건시설인증제에서 요구되는 시설환경 평가에 관한 연구 - 의료기관평가인증원의 정신의료기관평가를 중심으로 (A Study on the Evaluation of Environmental Quality required in the Accreditation Program for Mental Health Facilities - Focus on the Mental Institutions Assessment of KOIHA)

  • Purpose: According to the trend of the global burden of disease, in the future our society is expected to face with gradually increasing problems related to mental health and the demand for the various types of quality mental health facilities. This study investigates whether the accreditation of Mental health facilities serves as a building evaluation tool, and contribute to environmental welfare of the mentally ill. Methods: The facility assessment items related to architectural design are extracted through the analysis about the accreditation program of KOIHA. Extracted items should review if they comply with the relevant regulations, and establish building design standard. Results: This study shows that the accreditation of KOIHA can certify psychiatric hospitals meet the legal requirements, the minimum standard of facilities. But it is not the evaluation of environmental quality. It is difficult to assess the quality of facility in terms of architectural design, because it has no specific standards or the level of assessment. Implications: The accreditation for mental health facilities should be able to provide the right and opportunity to choose a more quality facility for the customer. The introduction of a certification system for the evaluation of environmental quality is required in order to overcome the limitations of the accreditation of KOIHA. Development of design guidelines for mental health facilities that are the basis for certification should be also followed.

고성과 작업시스템이 조직유효성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 인사관리 효과성의 조절역할을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Effect of High Performance Work System on Organizational Effectiveness - Focusing on the regulating role of HR management effectiveness -)

  • 본 연구는 NCS 기업활용 컨설팅에 참여한 조직구성원이 인식하고 있는 고성과 작업시스템이 조직유효성에 미치는 영향과 이들 간 인사관리 효율성의 조절역할과 조직유효성과 조직성과 간에 대한 영향관계를 확인하고자 하였다. 본 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 적용한 설문결과는 통계적으로 최종 활용 가능한 145부에 대하여 SPSS 24.0의 통계프로그램을 활용하여 회귀분석을 실시하여 연구가설을 검증을 다음과 같이 하였다. 첫째, 가설 1인 고성과 적업시스템의 특성요인(선발시스템, 평가 보상, 교육훈련 경력기회, 구성원참여제도, 직무안정성)은 조직유효성에 정(+)의 영향관계에 대한 분석결과는 정(+)의 유의한 영향관계를 나타내어 채택이 되었다. 둘째, 가설 2인 조직유효성이 조직성과에 긍정적인 영향관계를 나타낼 것이라는 가설을 검증한 결과 정(+)의 영향을 나타내어 가설 2는 채택이 되었다. 셋째, 가설 3인 인사관리 효과성이 고성과 작업시스템(선발시스템, 평가 보상, 교육훈련 경력기회, 구성원 참여제도, 직무안정성)과 조직유효성 간의 조절역할을 확인하고자 조절회귀분석을 실시하였다. 이에 가설 3을 검증한 결과 선발시스템(H3-1), 평가 보상(H3-2), 교육훈련 경력기회(H3-3), 구성원 참여제도(H3-4), 직무안정성(H3-5)은 조직유효성 간에 인사관리 효과성은 조절역할을 나타내었다. 본 연구를 통해 나타낸 주요 시사점은 조직구성원들이 인식하고 있는 고성과 작업시스템은 조직유효성과 조직성과에 정(+)의 유의한 영향관계와 조직유효성이 조직성과에 긍정적인 영향을 나타냄에 따라 조직성과 향상을 통한 지속가능경영체계의 고도화를 위한 고성과 작업시스템과 조직유효성 향상 위한 인사 교육훈련 체계구축은 조직구성원의 공감대를 형성할 수 있도록 체계적이며 지속적인 실행방안이 요구되었다. 둘째, 인사관리 효과성에 대한 조절효과를 확인한 결과 고성과 작업시스템과 조직유효성 간 긍정적인 요인으로 조절역할을 실증적으로 검증하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 고성과 작업시스템을 통한 조직유효성과 이들 간 인사관리 효과성의 조절역할 및 조직유효성과 조직성과 간의 영향관계를 함께 검증한 부분이 선행연구와 가장 큰 차이점이라 할 수 있다.

문제중심학습 패키지 개발 및 적용의 일 예 (An Example of Development and Application of PBL Package)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) package, test its application and evaluate students' recognition of the effectiveness of PBL in nursing colleges. Method: Thirteen steps were used in the process developing the PBL package. After its application, the first questionnaire for self-evaluation and satisfaction with PBL class was given to 94 nursing students in December, 2005. To further evaluate the students' recognition of the effectiveness of PBL, a second questionnaire was given to 83 nursing students out of the 96 in May, 2007 after clinical practice. Data analysis was conducted using means with standard deviation. Results: The results of students' self-evaluation showed high achievement in learning outcome and process using the PBL method. Also, they expressed satisfaction with the subject management, the lecturer and their peers after the PBL class. Students recognized that the PBL class had positive effectiveness in clinical practice and wanted more PBL classes and the inclusion of complex cases from well designed packages. Conclusion: PBL class could be considered as an opportunity to fortify student nurses' abilities to adjust to the real clinical situation.

수업 설계 및 실연의 자기평가 기준에 대한 고찰 (A Study of Criteria for Self-Assessment of Lesson Planning and Teaching Performance)

  • As teachers' competency is evaluated based on their teaching performance. pre-service teachers need to have an opportunity to reflect on themselves by systematically analyzing and evaluating their own lesson planning and teaching performance through self-assessment. In this study, we aimed to examine what evaluation criteria for lesson planning and teaching performance pre-service mathematics teachers consider in the process of self-assessment. This study used a mixed-methods research design. To draw the self-evaluation criteria for lesson planning and teaching performance, pre-service self-reported assessments were analyzed using qualitative analyses. In addition, descriptive statistics were used to investigate the pre-service teachers' distribution across the criteria and check the ratio of pre-service mathematics teachers for each element. As a result, it was disclosed that pre-service mathematics teachers considered eight elements in self evaluating their own lesson planning and teaching performance. In addition, we found that pre-service mathematics teachers tended to consider Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) more than Subject-Matter Knowledge (SMK). Moreover, the results of this study provide educational implications for the curriculum in the pre-service teacher's education program.

간호학생의 임상실습 만족도에 관한 조사연구 (Level Satisfaction on Clinical Practice of Baccalaureate Nursing Students)

  • As it Provides nursing students the opportunity for correlating principles and practice, clinical practice h s been considered as on of the most important part of nursing education. This study was desinged to measure the level of satisfaction in according with the conten. guidance environment. hours and the evaluation of clinical pracice. and to investigate the extent of influence of the variables have on the level of satisfaction. Two hundred and fifty-two nursing students from 9 baccalaureat programs in Seoule were randomly sampled. Instrument consists of forty questionaires. developed by the researcher, was used to gather data data from September 7 through 22, 1978. The level of satisfaction was measured by 5 Point rating scale(Likert-type). and level of significance were(t-test. F-test & X$^2$-test). -Results are as follow; 1. Level of satisfation according to the four variables ( class health. academic achievement, motives) revealed no significant difference. (P>.05). Hypothesis 1,2,3,4, are rejected. 2. Level of satisfaction according to the two variables (clinical instructor interpersonal relationship) revealed significant difference. (p<.01, p<.05), Hypothesis 5,6 are accepted. 3. Level of satisfaction of contents (mean score=3.02) revealed to be high.. 4. Level of satisfaction on guidance (mean Score=2.37), environment (mean score=2.59), hours (mean score=2.72) and evaluation (mean score=2.50) revealed to be low. 5. Level of satisfaction revealed to be low. (total mean satisfaction score =2.64).

학생들의 인식 조사를 통한 이동과학교실의 특징 분석 (Analysis on the Effect of 'Mobile Science Lab' through the Survey of Students' Perception)

  • This study was to analyze the effect of 'mobile science-lab' through the survey of students' perception. 'Mobile science-lab' is the one of the most distinguished public science programs and has been made in order to promote the students' understanding of science by providing students an opportunity to be engaged in several activities of science and high-technology. To fulfill the purpose of this study, we analyzed the opinions of 3,643 students who participated in 'mobile science-lab'. As the results, 'mobile science-lab' is very effective on improving the students' interest and concern of science. Most students recognized that the best advantage of 'mobile science-lab' is the participation in experiments. To overcome the mobile science-lab's some limits, more researches including development of the training program of science show coordinators should be done.

  • Accompanying the Internet of Things (IoT) is a demand of advanced applications and services utilizing the potential of the IoT environment. Monitoring the environment for a provision of context-aware services to the human beings is one of the new trends in our future life. The IoTivity Cloud is one of the most notable open-source platform bringing an opportunity to collect, analyze, and interpret a huge amount of data available in the IoT environment. Based on the IoTivity Cloud, we aim to develop a novel platform for comprehensive monitoring of a future network, which facilitates on-demand data collection to enable the network behavior prediction and the quality of user experience maintenance. In consideration of performance evaluation of the monitoring platform, this paper presents results of a preliminary test on the data acquisition/supply process in the IoTivity Cloud.
