A Study of Damage District Forecast by Imaginary Tsunami Scenario (가상 지진해일 시나리오에 의한 피해지역 예측에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we wished to forecast the damage district by tsunami's occurrence. For this, we analyzed tsunami that can happen in our country's neighborhood coast using past data, and established tsunami's scenario by imagination with analysis result. we created a 3D topographical model about study area and analyzed an inundation area by achieving simulation by scenario. Also, we produced an imaginary inundation map by overlaying the simulation results on digital map. This study result might be utilized as infra-technology for operation of tsunami's forecast/alarm system and establishment of disaster prevention policy.

  • Currently, the second level of the six stages of self-driving technology, as defined by SAE, is commercialized, and the third level is preparing for commercialization. The purpose of ACC is to be evaluated as a system useful for preventing and preventing accidents by minimizing driver fatigue through longitudinal speed control and relative distance control of the vehicle. In this regard, for the study of safety assessment methods in the practical environment of ACC. Distance measurement method using monocular camera and data acquisition equipment such as DGPS are utilized. Based on the evaluation scenario considering the domestic road environment proposed by the preceding study, the relative distance obtained from equipment such as DPGS and the relative distance using a monocular camera in the actual test is verified by comparing and analyzing the safety assessment. The comparison by scenario results showed a minimum error rate of 3.83% in Scenario 1 and a maximum of 14.61% in Scenario 6. The cause of the maximum error is that the lane recognition is not accurate in the camera image and irregular operation conditions such as rushing in or exiting the surrounding area from the walkway. It is expected that safety evaluation using a monocular camera will be possible for other ADAS systems in the future.

A Fuzzy Rule-based System for Automatically Generating Customized Training Scenarios in Cyber Security

  • Despite the increasing interest in cyber security in recent years, the emergence of new technologies has led to a shortage of professional personnel to efficiently perform the cyber security. Although various methods such as cyber rage are being used to cultivate cyber security experts, there are problems of limitation of virtual training system, scenario-based practice content development and operation, unit content-oriented development, and lack of consideration of learner level. In this paper, we develop a fuzzy rule-based user-customized training scenario automatic generation system for improving user's ability to respond to infringement. The proposed system creates and provides scenarios based on advanced persistent threats according to fuzzy rules. Thus, the proposed system can improve the trainee's ability to respond to the bed through the generated scenario.

  • Islanded operation of a microgrid can ensure the reliable operation of the system when a large accident occurs in the main grid. However, because the generation capability of a microgrid is typically limited, a microgrid operator should take islanded operation risk into account in scheduling its generation resources. To address this problem, in this paper we have proposed two unit commitment formulations based on the islanding scenario that reflect the expected and worst-case values of the islanded operation risk. An optimal resource scheduling strategy is obtained for the microgrid operator by solving these optimization problem, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is investigated by numerical simulations.

  • TPCLT(Twice Per Cycle Left-turn) operation reduces this left-turn 'spill-over' problem on an as needed basis by servicing the protected left-turn movement as a leading and a lagging left-turn. In this study, to evaluate the effectiveness of TPCLT applied to three-legged signalized intersection in Korea, the analysis was carried out using VISSIM and SSAM model analysis. The study was implemented by three cases which are TPCLT operation, non-TPCLT operation and half-cycle operation using VISSIM program. According to the 9-left-turn volume scenario, total delay and travel times of each case was analyzed by VISSIM program. The study result shows more effective applying TPCLT operaion in the present ~ +50% scenario area at the intersection in terms of total delay.

  • Boiler design should be desinged to maximize thermal efficiency of the system under imposed load requirement and a boiler should be validated for transient operation. If a proper prediction is possible on the transient behavior and transient characteristics of a boiler, one may asses the performance of boiler component, control logics and operation procedures. In this work, dynamic modeling method of boiler is presented and dynamic simulation of load runback scenario was carried out on suprecritical oil-firing boiler.

  • LRT System Application Project is performed for the purpose of technical advancement and stabilization of K-AGT system from the viewpoint of practical use and commercialization. For those purpose, the performance test and evaluation procedure for signaling system have been developed, including the scheme of verifying the performance and function of signaling system under driverless multiple train operation environment. In this paper, multiple train operation scheme in K-AGT test line is presented. Test schemes for maintaining the safety distance between trains, operation scenario considering shunting and turning of train, and dia operation schemes in test line are reviewed while researching test vehicle features, route condition and running pattern. Additional equipments for testing each scheme are also reviewed.

  • The attitude dynamics of KITSAT-1 are modeled including the gravity gradient stabilization method. We define the operation scenario during the initial attitude stabilization period by means of a magnetorquering control algorithm. The required constraints for the gravity gradient boom deployment are also examined. Attitude dynamics model and control laws are verified by analyzing in-orbit attitude sensor telemetry data.
