  • Design methods are presented for a broadband corrugated horn antenna operating X/Ku band (7.25-14.5 CHz). The corrugated horn consists of a circular waveguide taper, a mode converter, a waveguide-to-horn transition, and a hem section. Methods of design are presented for each section. The designed antenna shows excellent characteristics over the entire operating frequency range.

  • The Operational Deflection Shape designates the motion pattern by which a structure vibrates under a specific operating condition. Modal Analysis is usually tested under test bench, but Operational Deflection Shape can be measured directly under real operating condition. It provide useful information for trouble-shooting and aid understanding and evaluation of the absolute dynamic behaviour of a machine or component. In this paper, It is analysed Excavator Upper Frame using Operating Deflection Shape.

  • We propose a current mode logic circuit design method for LTPS TFT for enhancing circuit operating speed. Current mode inverter/buffers with passive resistive load had been designed and fabricated. Measurement results indicated that the smaller logic swing of the current mode allowed significantly faster operation than the static CMOS. In order to reduce the chip size, both all pTFT and all nTFT active load current mode inverter/buffer had been designed and analyzed by HSPICE simulation. Even though the active load current mode circuits were inferior to the passive load circuits, it was superior to static CMOS gates.

  • Parametric study on the efficiency of Rotary Solid Dehumidifer are reported. Experi-ments have been performed by varying regeneration temperature, regeneration humidity, flow rate of regeneration air, angular velocity of dehumidifer rotor and regeneration angle. To improve the energy efficiency, MODE 2,3 where coding zone is constructed and MODE 4, 5 where recirculating zone is constructed, were studied through experimental method $\ldots$. These results show that economical operating ranges exist in regeneration temperature, flow rate of regeneration air, angular velocity of dehumidifier rotor and regeneration angle. MODE 2,3 where cooling zone is constructed between regeneration Bone and process zone, is far better than MODE 1 in view of energy effiency, and optimum cooling angle and flow rate of cooling air exist. But MODE 4 and MODE 5, where recirculating zone is constructed, are similar to MODE 1.

  • In this paper, we suggest operational trans-conductance amplifier(OTA) for current-mode FIR filter that can be used in a digital circuit system requiring high operating frequency and low power consumption. The current-mode signal processing is one of the very innovative design method for a low power consumption system with high operating frequency because it shows a constant power regardless of frequency. From the simulation result using 0.35um CMOS process, when Vdd is 2V, it is confirmed that the proposed circuit showed the dynamic range of the about 1V, about 50% of supply voltage and output current swing of about 0~200uA. Also, the power consumption was evaluated with about 21uW and the active size for an integration was measured with $71um{\times}166um$.

  • Generally, a switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive requires a rotor position sensor for commutation and current control. However, this position sensor causes an increase for cost and size of motor drive. In this paper, a sliding mode observer is proposed for indirect position sensing in SRM drive. This estimated rotor position is used for the electric commutation of the machine phases. The paper includes a design approach and operating performance based on the proposed sliding mode observer.

  • In this paper, an analysis has been done on the performance of SCTP header compression by using Robust Reader Compression (ROHC)[1] method. And it is assumed that the operating mode for ROHC is unidirectional mode (U-Mode) and the possible states are IR and SO states. The throughput of SCTP packets in wireless link and the impact of size of W-LSB encoding window on throughput are discussed.

  • The performance of the InGaAs/InP avalanche photodidodes operated in Geiger-mode was investigated for 1550nm wavelengths at room temperature. We find the optimal operating points where the high quantum detection efficiency and low dark current are achieved. For the optical pulse detection, the gated-mode is used to reduce the dark current.

  • Fairchild Green Mode off line buck switch for low standby power consumption and high reliability is presented. By reducing operating current and optimizing switching frequency, 20mW power consumption is achieved. High performance trans-conductance amplifier and green mode function improve the ripple and regulation in the output voltage. The conventional $FPS^{TM}$ buck and novel Fairchild buck switch are compared to show the improvement of performance. Experimental results are showed using 2W evaluation board.
