Globally, more than 90 percent of all international commerce takes place via sea freight. In terms of container cargo volume, Busan Port is the world's sixth largest port, given its geographical conditions. Regarding geographic advantages, a cargo-working operation that met customers' demand using a 24-hour operating delivery system also contributed to the growth of Busan Port as a global hub. However, research and studies on the working conditions for stevedores are lacking, even though the port industry relies heavily on human resources. Therefore, this study identifies the awareness of the working environment by cargo-working employees at Busan Port and their satisfaction level related to their working environment, such as working two shifts in a 24-hour period.
New and renewable energy forecasts are key technology to reduce the annual operating cost of new and renewable facilities, and accuracy of forecasts is paramount. In this study, we intend to build a model for the prediction of short-term solar power generation for 1 hour to 3 hours. To this end, this study applied two time series technique, ARIMA model without considering seasonality and SARIMA model with considering seasonality, comparing which technique has better predictive accuracy. Comparing predicted errors by MAE measures of solar power generation for 1 hour to 3 hours at four locations, the solar power forecast model using ARIMA was better in terms of predictive accuracy than the solar power forecast model using SARIMA. On the other hand, a comparison of predicted error by RMSE measures resulted in a solar power forecast model using SARIMA being better in terms of predictive accuracy than a solar power forecast model using ARIMA.
The processing times of the works, chainsaw felling, axe trimming and hand skidding to the corridor, by one-man-work method per single pole timber were investigated in the thinning young Japanese larch stand at the Training Forests of the Forest Work Tranining Center in Kangwon-do. The works were performed by a skilled worker with the craftman qualification and 69 trees were cut. Time was checked at intervals of 25/100 minute by the multimoment method and the worker's efficiency was evaluated for every cycle. Total working time was 8.11 hours of which 90% was for thinning work and 10% for cleaning work. Of the total working hours, 82.7% was net working time, 12.3% was general working time and 4.9% was non-valuated time. Of the net working time, 5.9hours, for only thinning, 20.9% was spent on moving to the feeling tree, 27.1% was spent on felling, 40.5% was spent on trimming and 11.5% was spent on skidding to corridor. Net chainsaw operating time was 0.94 hour which included 0.2 hour for cleaning work. Of the net chainsaw operating time, 0.94 hour, 66% was operating time and 34% was idle running time. The basic and general working times by DBH classes with application of 130% worker's efficiency calculated from regression equations were shown in table 1. For better practical using of this table, the simplified proposal was given in table 2.

With the rapid deployment of hipass$^{(R)}$, the congestion is inevitable due to the operation of the hipass lane system. Recently, SMART Highway project have developed a multi-lane mainline tolling system, called SMART Tolling system. To analyze the effectiveness of the system in terms of capacity, this study tries to estimate the capacity and its improvement of multi-lane tolling system based on current hipass$^{(R)}$ data. The methodology uses the saturation time headway. This follows three steps; 1) estimate the saturation time headway, using hipass$^{(R)}$ data, and capacity. 2) estimate two factors (the first one is dividing the one side lane width and lateral clearance factor ($f_w$) into two side one, the second one is dividing the capacity of hipass lane operating a circuit breaker into the capacity of hipass lane not operating, the last one is increasing factor of lane width). 3) calculate the capacity of multi-lane mainline tolling system. The results of method produced 2172~2187 veh/hour as smart tolling capacities, respectively. Those are higher about 370 veh/hour than the values from existing literature reviews. Additionally, saturation time headways were identified as lower by 0.5 seconds/veh than existing headways based on hi-pass$^{(R)}$ based one, which naturally implies the improvement in capacity. Some limitations and future research agenda have also been discussed.
Two strategies for calculating economic feasibility are the machine rate and cash-flow methods. This study used the cash-flow method to evaluate the economic feasibility of the HAM300 yarding operation for extracting tree length logs in Larix kaempferi forest stands. In financial analysis based on 7-year cash-flow, the net present value and pay-back period method were used. We analyzed two scenarios: operating opportunities (50, 100, 150, and 200 days per year) and productivity change yield (7.5 and 10.5 ㎥/scheduled machine hour: SMH). The analysis indicated that high rates of return on extraction activity investment can be achieved when machines are used for >150 days per year. In addition, improved productivity (10.5 ㎥/SMH) increased financial feasibility compared to current productivity (7.5 ㎥/SMH) when machines were operated for 100 days per year. These results suggest that the appropriateness of HAM300 harvesting depends on the number of annual operating days and productivity.

The combined hydroacoustic and demersal trawl surveys to investigate the distribution characteristics of fish schools in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea were carried out during the spring of 1997 by the training ship "Nagasaki Maru" of Nagasaki University. Fish samples were collected by bottom trawling from 9 trawl stations randomly selected in the survey area, and the species and length compositions of trawl catches are examined. Hydroacoustic data were collected by using a Furuno FQ-50 scientific echo sounder operating at 50KHz and the data stored in field were later processed in the laboratory. The results obtained can be summarized as follows :1. In the 9 trawl surveys conducted in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea, 78 species including 80 species of fishes, 4 species of Cephalopoda and 6 species of Crustacea, were identified. The most abundant species in these stations were swimming crab(Portunus trituberculatus), Japanese horse mackere(Trachurus japonicus), redlip croaker(Larimichthys polyactis) and the catch per one hour in each station ranged 7.7 to 182.5 kg/hour. 2. The mean volume backscattering strength for the entire water column and the bottom layer of the 0-10 m from bottom friction were -74.6 ㏈ and -68.2 ㏈, respectively. That is, the mean volume backscattering strength for the bottom layer was 6.4 ㏈ higher than that for the entire water column 3. In the surveys during the spring of 1997, the geographical distribution characteristics of fish schools suggests a trend of decreasing fish abundance toward the coast area of Korea and the highest demersal concentrations appeared in waters between the Cheju Island and the Tsushima Island 4. The distribution density of fish school in the East China Sea and Yellow Sea during the 1997 acoustic survey were estimated to be 6.65$\times$10$^{-5}$ kg/㎥ in the entire water column and 2.86$\times$l0$^{-4}$ kg/㎥ in the bottom layer, respectively.pectively.

Demand for cosmetics with functionality and eco-friendliness has increased dramatically due to recent aging, well-being trends, and increased interest in beauty. Cosmetics production in 2014 was 8,970.4 billion won, an increase of about 50% compared to 6,014.6 billion won in 2010. In the midst of this, similar companies in intense competition are pursuing differentiated strategies and innovation activities to solve quality, price and delivery problems. In particular, cosmetics packaging work is getting more difficult due to the increasing bill of materials (BOM) and difficult assembly methods. Therefore, in this study, the following problems were identified and suggestions for the improvement of the packaging Many research laboratories such as biotechnology, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals, which are undergoing various studies, are equipped with ready-made laboratory safety equipments such as bio-safety workbenches, aseptic bases, and exhaust workbenches. However, most researchers are disadvantaged in using existing safety equipment. This is because existing safety equipment can not take into account all of the unique characteristics of the research. For this reason, researchers are demanding the development of customized safety equipment that is well suited to their research needs. process of Company C, which is facing difficult situation to respond to the customer 's delivery due to the 52 - hour work week. First, we used the stopwatch to find the difficulty process in the packaging process and show ways to improve it. Second, to improve the efficiency of line balancing in the packaging process, we integrate processes, improve work methods, and perform simple automation. As a result, the prepare loss for replacement was reduced by 1 minute from 5 minutes, resulting in a 23% increase in productivity from 112 ea./hour to 137ea./ hour per person. The study for the passenger's comfortableness of vehicles and the arousal of car drivers has been done widely. On the other hand, there are few studies for the locomotive engineers. Human error means that the mistakes made by human, recently it receives attention in the field of safety engineering and human engineering. Comparing the operating condition of train with car, because of the simplification of the visual stimulus, the arousal level on the train goes down easily. The arousal level down makes judgement down, the accident risk from human error is getting bigger. In this study, we measured bio-signals(ECG, EDA, PPG, respiration and EEG) from 6 locomotive engineers to evaluate their arousal state while they operated the train. Also we recorded the 3 axes acceleration signal showing the vibration state of train. Also, the existence of tunnels were simultaneously measured. At the station section where the train speed goes down, the size of vector's sum decreases because of reduced vibration. Beta component in EEG tends to increase at the entering point of each station and tunnel. It is due to the arousal reaction and tension growth. The mean SCR(skin conductance response) was more increased in neutral section. As the button control movement (body movement) increases in the neutral section, it is appeared that SCR increase. RR interval tends to gradually increase during train operation for 1 hour 40 minutes. However, It tends to sharply decrease at the stop station because strong concentration needed to stop train on the exact point. The engineer's arousal reaction can be checked through analysing the bio-signal change during train operation. Therefore, if this analysing result is adopted to the sleepiness prevention caution system, it will be useful for the safety train operation.
In this study, data transmission ratio and power consumption issues of Zigbee based sensor module and personal digital assistant(PDA) were addressed to develop ECG telemetry device. PDA processes the data transmitted through serial port using non-blocking method. The transmission rate was dependent on the packet structure. It was 300 ECG samples/sec, when each packet was composed of 2 ECG data and 3-axial acceleration vector. Using two AAA batteries in series, operating time of the wireless sensor module was above 28 hours in average. Power consumption of PDA was dependent on screen ON/OFF condition and serial port usage. In this application, operating time of PDA was 5 hours in average. In conclusion, there was no problem in the power consumption of wireless sensor module and transmission rate, when the developed device was used as 24 hour Holter device. But, PDA has the problem of power consumption, which should be solved.
