등온 환경하에서 개구부를 통한 의복의 환기 효율 (Ventilation Efficiency of Clothing through Openings under an Isothermal Condition)

  • The ventilation efficiency of clothing was investigated by a trace gas method using a manikin wearing an impermeable overall under an isothermal condition, where the ventilation occurred only through the openings by diffusion. The ventilation patterns were different for each part of the body. The ventilation efficiency in the clothing microenvironment of the arm and the leg greatly depended on the distance from each opening when the wrist- or the ankle-opening was opened. When both side of wrist- or ankle-openings were opened to provide the opening area double respectively, the ventilation efficiency did not correspondingly increase twice, as compared one side opened. Even though it as certainly affected by the opening area, the ventilation efficiency was more significantly influenced by the position of openings.

유공 H 형강보의 보강효율에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Reinforcing Efficiency of H-Shaped Steel Beams with a Rectangular Web Opening)

  • Despite of decrease in shear and moment strengths, most steel structural designers use web openings in beams because of economical benefit and requirement. The purpose of this study is to suggest the method of reinforcement of H-shape steel beams with a rectangular web opening. If shear predominates over bending, it is necessary to consider all possible combinations of shear force and bending moment acting at the opening. In this paper, the ultimate strength and behavior of perforated beams have been investigated according to parameters (ratio of M/V, opening width within opening height ratio D/h, various reinforcing types A/B/C/D/M/N/W). The results of this study are as follows ; 1. Deformation of H-shape steel beams with a rectangular web opening was greatly affected by not only bending but also shear. 2. SB1-2/3 series have little difference in the reinforced efficiency, but SB1-2E/3E series have difference in the reinforced efficiency according to the reinforcement type. 3. Efficiency of SB1-2E/3E series is determined by reinforcing types, which RB1-2E-B/M/C and RB1-3E-M/D/C specimens have good efficient. Reinforcing type of perforated beams chooses efficient method according to ratio of M/V and D/h.

  • Groundwater flow is primarily influenced by the presence of fractures, functioning as conduits. To block the flow, grouting operation is commonly used. Thereby the fractures are then expected to be sealed, which will add to enhance the shear strength in rock. This far, regarding the assessment of grouting efficiency, however, there's been a considerable uncertainty That is, several geophysical methods of high resolution such as tomography, S-wave logging have produced a significant amount of measurable response caused by grouting, but they can inevitably be used only for the qualitative assessment. Thus, this paper deals with an accurate quantitative assessment about the grouting result. In this, a new strategy is introduced, based mainly on evaluating the opening of fractures. For fracture-opening investigation purposes, borehole Televiewer has already proven to be an excellent logging technique that produces both amplitude image and traveltime image. As well known, the traveltime image can be converted to a high precision 3D caliper log with max. 288 arms, which allows to observe the opening of fractures. To evaluate the fracture opening from the traveltime image, an algorithm of practical use was developed, in which image correction due to the borehole deviation, feature discrimination of wall roughness from fractures, automatic evaluation procedure etc. were considered. Field examples are shown to confirm the efficiency of the suggested method.

수치해석을 이용한 근해안강망 어구 모델링과 거동분석 (Offshore stow net modeling and analysis of behavior using numerical methods)

  • The Korean stow net is a fishing method that utilizes the changing direction of the net entrance with the tidal current. This study attempted to obtain basic data from the recent offshore stow net fisheries to improve the gear by analyzing the dynamic behavior of the nets affected by current speed and direction using computer simulations. A numerical calculation was performed at a current speed of 0.5 knot between 2.5 knot at each 0.5 knot. The time taken for the gear opening was the longest from 0.5 knot at 1,500 seconds and the shortest from 2.5 knot at 450 seconds in the simulations. In all cases, the net width and tension at net deployment gradually decreased as the current speed decreased. However, the net height tended to increase inversely proportional to the current speed. During the net rotation, the net height was maintained at all cases. The net width and tension fluctuated, but the regularity was very low. In this study, the calculated simulation data showed that the opening efficiency decreased proportional to the current speed. The opening efficiency is related to the catching efficiency; therefore, it is necessary to improve the gear to enhance its opening efficiency.

저속 2행정 디젤 기관의 소기 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the scavenging characteristics in slow-speed two-stroke diesel engines)

  • The scavenging characteristics have a great influence on the performance of a diesel engine, especially slow-speed two-stroke diesel engines which are usually used as a marine propulsion power plant, and they are greatly affected by the conditions in the cylinder, intake and exhaust manifolds, and the opening and closing timing of scavenging ports or exhaust valves during the gas exchange process. Besides, there are many other factors to affect the scavenging characteristics and these factors interact each other very complicatedly. Therefore the simulation program of the gas exchange process is very useful to improve and predict the scavenging characteristics, due to the high costs associated with redesign and testing. In this paper it was attenpted to investigate the effect of the variation of the pressure ratio of intake to exhaust manifolds, and the variation of the opening and closing timing of a exhaust valve by using a computational program for a three-zone scavenging model which was developed by authors. The computed results showed that the scavenging efficiency and delivery ratio increased considerably, but the trapping efficiency decreased with increasing of the pressure ratio of intake to exhaust manifolds. The scavenging efficiency, trapping efficiency, and th conditions of the cylinder gases were affected by the opening timing of the exhaust valve, but the delivery ratio by the closing timing.

  • On condition that opening located at high shear strength position in H-shaped steel beams with web opening, beams are structurally to be frailed so necessity and efficiency of vertical reinforcement to add horizontal reinforcement already published ahead study. Up to the present study of web opening beams, limited one opening which located in comparatively small shear strength position. But frequently opening area is enlargement by necessity, so width of opening is larger by limit of depth or increasing number of opening. This study carry out experiment to make efficient reinforcing method about strength and deformation of steel beams with web openings. Parameters of this study are openings location, ratio of opening width within opening height and various reinforcing types.

  • The aim of this study is to obtain efficiency and guid of planning(function division oning plan, etc.) in opening plan of school facilities based on speciality of their, recognazing flow and character of needs and explanation of mechanism of school facilities needs, for make clear of mechanism of character, efficiency, speciality and formation to residents community, by investigation an analysis of facilities needs. As a part of that, this study is mainly deal with contents about analysis of use-pattern in school opening. As a main results, we can obtain a three type (Aggressive-Type, General-Type, Simple-Type) through the analisys of investigation. We expect that each type will be contribute to important factors that propose of school opening plan.

Performance Improvement of Weis-Fogh Type Ship's Propulsion Mechanism Using Spring Type Elastic Wing

  • This experiment was conducted in attempt of improving hydrodynamic efficiency of the propulsion mechanism by installing a spring to the wing so that the opening angle of the wing in one stroke can be changed automatically, compared to the existing method of fixed maximum opening angle in Weis-Fogh type ship propulsion mechanism. Average thrust coefficient was almost fixed with all velocity ratio with the prototype, but with the spring type, thrust coefficient increased sharply as velocity ratio increased. Average propulsive efficiency was larger with bigger opening angle in the prototype, but in the spring type, the one with smaller spring coefficient had larger value. In the range over 1.0 in velocity ratio where big thrust can be generated, spring type had more than twice of propulsive efficiency increase compared to the prototype.

지하철 모사터널에서 에어커튼을 이용한 환기구의 배기효율 및 미세입자 농도 변화 연구 (The Study on Changes of Exhaust Efficiency and Fine Particle Concentration at a Ventilation Opening by a Air Curtain Flow in a Subway Model Tunnel)

  • In this study, a new tunnel ventilation method with a high velocity air curtain flow has been investigated for improving the ventilation exhaust efficiency and removing air pollutants in subway tunnels. At upper or lower position right downstream of a main duct connected with a ventilation opening, air curtain flows were suppled into the main duct where the air flow velocity was in the range of 2~6 m/s. Exhaust efficiency was monitored for both cases with and without air curtain flow for different air velocities, locations and injection angles of the air curtain. Particulate matter concentrations (PM10, PM2.5 and PM1.0) were also checked at both the main duct and ventilation opening before and after supplying air curtain flows. Lower air velocity of the main duct flow, higher air velocity of the air curtain led to higher exhaust efficiency and the air curtain condition of 30..inclined injection toward the main flow showed the maximum exhaust efficiency. The exhaust efficiency of about 24% without the air curtain could be improved to about 34% after using the air curtain flow. PM concentration decreased at the main duct and increased at the ventilation opening after using the air curtain flow. Therefore, the suggested method to use air curtain flows in tunnels will be probably one of the promising tools to reduce air pollutants in subway tunnels.

대단면국내석회석광산용저풍압국부선풍기개발연구 (Development of a Low Pressure Auxiliary Fan for Local Large-opening Limestone Mines)

  • 최근 대단면 갱도로 개발하고 있는 국내 석회석광산은 작업공간 환기를 위하여 과거 석탄광산에 광범위하게 사용되던 형태의 국부 선풍기를 주로 이용하고 있다. 대단면 갱도에서의 낮은 정압손실을 고려할 때 고풍압 선풍기는 과다 설비용량으로 인하여 비용측면에서 심각한 한계를 보이고 있다. 대단면 갱도에서의 최적 선풍기는 안전한 작업환경 유지를 위한 충분한 환기량을 공급할 수 있어야 할 뿐만 아니라 저운전비용도 보장하여야 한다. 본 연구는 대단면 갱도 내에서 높은 환기효율과 경제성을 가지는 저풍압 국부선풍기를 개발함이 목적이다. 이론적 연구와 아울러 2개소의 단면적이 다른 현장 실험 연구를 통하여 저풍압 선풍기의 환기효율을 분석하였다. 본 연구결과는 작업공간 공기질 및 작업환경 개선을 위한 국부선풍기의 경제성과 효율 제고에 적용 가능할 것으로 기대된다.
