The present study was conducted to determine the effects of electron beam irradiation on the postharvest quality of cut flowers. Cut flowers were irradiated with electron beam at 100, 200, 400, 600, 800, 1,000, and 2,000 Gy with a 10 MeV linear electron beam accelerator to evaluate their irradiation tolerance. Postharvest quality was determined by monitoring fresh weight loss, flower longevity, flower diameter, flowering rate, visual quality of flowers and leaves, and chlorophyll content. Cut flowers showed a radiation-induced damage with increasing the irradiation dose. Flower longevity and fresh weight of cut flowers decreased when the irradiation dose was increased. Flower bud opening was also inhibited in a dose-dependent manner. The effective irradiation doses for 10% reduction of postharvest quality (ED10) values were 144.4, 451.6, and 841.2 Gy in the 'Medusa' lily, 'Montezuma' carnation, and 'Rosina White' eustoma, respectively. Although tolerance of cut flowers to electron beam irradiation vary according to species, cultivars, or maturity stage conditions, it is conceivable that 'Montezuma' carnation and 'Rosina White' eustoma could be tolerated and maintained overall postharvest quality up to 400 Gy, the generic irradiation dose approved by the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) for postharvest phytosanitary treatments.
The aim of this study is to propose effective measures for shortage of manpower of dental technology laboratory in Gangwon province by means of examining not only the history of Gangwon association, present condition of transference of members of Gangwon association from 1990, of missing members and annual rate of participation in repair education with setting object of study into Gangwon association under the influence of the Korean Dental Technology Association but also the present condition of opening and closing laboratory, amount of business connection and condition of shortage of manpower and its field with setting object of study into 28 dental technology laboratories. Results from this study are like followings : First, Gagnwon association was established in 1984 as the eleventh in the line of the board, reorganization of board is conducted 8 times up to the eighth in the line of the board in 2001. board is composed of 16 persons including president and operated its term as 3 years. Second, a number of representative and ordinary member of Gangwon association has increased gradually from 1992 to 2001. in aspect of annual rate of participation in repair education, representative's is more higher than ordinary member's overall. the worst rate of whole members' is shown as 47.9% and the its best rate is shown as 92.0%. in addition, 70$\sim$80% rate of participation into repair education is shown most frequently as 8 times of whole 20 times from 1992 to 2001. Third, 29 authorized dental technology laboratories have registered in Gangwon association until march 2002 within 9 cities and counties. in consideration of establishment location. Gangneung city has most amount as 7 laboratories(24.1%), Wonju city has 5(17.2%), Samcheok city and Sokcho city, each has 4(13.8%), Chuncheon city has 3(10.3%), Donghae city and Taeback city, each has 2(6.9%) and Yangyang and Yongwol county, each has 1(3.4%). Fourth, amount of work personnel of laboratory in Gangwon province is 1$\sim$10 persons as the maximum value. 23 laboratories(82.1%) have their own work personnel as amount of 5 and below. in aspect of main business, most of laboratories focus on the Porcelain and Crown. and 16 laboratories(57.1%) have their own expensive equipments such as Milling. its also suggests that 16 laboratories(57.1%) suffer their shortage of working personnel. specifically, 6 laboratories(21.4%) suffer the highest shortage especially in Denture field, Fifth, whole number of Gangwon association is up to 101 members (28 representatives and 73 ordinary members) until December 31th 2001. amount of immune from repair education of Gangwon association until October 2001 is up to 10 persons, and missing members from 1997 is up to 18 persons, suspension of business is up to 4 persons. in aspect of transference from 1990, transfer-in is up to 21 persons and transfer out is up to 16 persons.

This study analyzes the process of growth of Busan from a fishing village to the capital city of South Gyeongsang Province and the central city of transportation and commerce, and an industry with records. The results of the analysis are as follows: after the port opened in 1876, there has been a decline in settlement spaces in Dongnae; on the other hand, there has been an increase in migration spaces around the port of Busan. Waegwan (倭館) nearby Yongdusan Mountain (龍頭山) was changed to the Japanese concession; thus, the number of Japanese moving into Busan had rapidly increased. As a result, the Japanese government carried out reclamation work for securing available lands for the construction of port facilities and other facilities. The Japanese government built public offices and houses, as well as production facilities for daily necessities around the port of Busan. The opening of the Seoul Busan railway (京釜線) and the cross-channel liner between Busan and Shimonoseki (釜關連絡船) led to the growth of Busan and the development of its status. At this time, as the main industry of Busan was trade, Busan had grown as a commercial city. As Busan had grown as a central city of transportation and commerce, the provincial government building of Gyeongsangnam-do (慶尙南道) moved to Busan. Thus, Busan became the central city of local politics and administration. After the Land Survey Project, a large scale of farmers were recruited for low-wage work in the new port. Because of the abolition of the corporation law, Japanese capitalists moved into their colony in Busan. There, large-scale factories, such as the Joseon cotton textile factory, were established. Through this process, the locality of Busan was changed from a fishing village to a commercial city and, finally, to a city of commerce and industry.
This study examines the structure and contents of the various programs offered by the Cologne City Library in Cologne, Germany, and discusses its implications for the role of the changing public libraries in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The Cologne Municipal Library, which has continuously played a leading role in the education of German libraries since its opening, has been transforming itself to become a center for producing information and knowledge and developing culture in accordance with the dynamic era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Currently, the Cologne Municipal Library plays a role as a multi-cultural space in the community where local members can experience various cultures, such as movies, music and games, and create a culture, beyond the traditional functions of library collection and preservation. The program of the City Library in Cologne, Germany, will help to redesign the functions and roles of public libraries in Korea in the future, and plan library contents for local members.
This study made an attempt at the empirical analysis of the influence of domestic, foreign economic changes on economy in Incheon & Incheon International Airport. For this purpose, this study, setting up the member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development(OECD), Incheon Metropolitan City, and Incheon International Airport as research objects, conducted multi-regression analysis and path analysis of 11-year economic changes after the opening of the Incheon International Airport in 2001. As a research result, it was found that internal, external economic changes didn't show a positive influence on economy in Incheon, and growth & revitalization of the Incheon International Airport while international economic factors showed a directly positive influence on economy in Incheon, but the total effect directly related to Korean economy showed a negative influence. Accordingly, economy in Incheon has to actively cope with home, foreign macroeconomic change factors, and further, the endogenous growth strategy is required; as the methodolog.

With the improvement of living standards, the ventilation for the mitigation of indoor or outdoor air-pollution problems has recently attracted a lot of attention. Consequently, the ventilation for the supply of outdoor fresh air into a room is treated as an important building-design factor. The ventilation is generally divided into the forced and natural types; here, the former can control the ventilation rate by using mechanical devices, but it has the disadvantages of the equipment costs, maintenance costs, and noise generation, while the latter is applied to most workshops due to the absence of noise and the low installation and maintenance costs. In this experimental study, the ventilation performance of a typical rotating-type natural ventilator, which is called a "wind turbine," was investigated with the outdoor-wind velocity and the indoor/outdoor-temperature difference. From the experiment results, it was confirmed that the temperature difference of $10^{\circ}C$ corresponds to the ventilation driving force with an outdoor-wind velocity of 1.0 m/s. Additionally, the intake-opening area of a building also exerts a great effect on the ventilation rates.
The main objective of study was to analyze the effectiveness of transit mall. To this end, this study compared operational status of transit malls in operation (Daegu, Seoul and Busan). For the city of Busan where the latest transit mall became operational in 2015, a discriminant model was proposed to determine user satisfaction/dissatisfaction. The outcomes of comparative study showed that each city has different operational focus - Seoul has focus on traffic demand management, Busan has focus on walking environment, and Daegu has focus on accessibility to public transportation. Also, the discriminant model indicated that market sentiment, convenience of bus service, traffic accident risk, number of pedestrian, market user number have effects on user satisfaction. These results implied that, to improve user satisfaction, measures for market revitalization such as opening events and forming consultative groups need to be prepared and traffic conditions should also be improved through expansion of curfew time, linkage with subway station.

Since 1980's there have been two trends that obviously developed in the would -- economics globalization and urban internationalization. China, with is reform and opening-up policy and rapid economic growth, keeps pace with these two trends. The term "International City" has no putative standard or definition. If we make an analogue of urban functional hierarchy in the world with a pyramid, the International Citiesa are the few elites on its top. The highest level international cities can be called "World City" or "Global City". In today's new international division of labor, they are diversified leading cities with control capacity on a world scale, like New York, London, and Tokyo. The secondary international cities are either diversified cities with influence and regulative functions on multinational scale or specialized cities on politics, economics, culture, or other aspects with worldwide impact. Judged by different criteria, there is no city that is qualified as International City with the exception of Hong Kong, which was returned to the P.R. of China in 1997. Nevertheless, Some favorable conditions for the development of the international city still exist in China. This country is already the sixth largest economic entity in the world, and the second largest economic entity in the world, and the second largest one if GNP estimated by ppp. Furthermore its import and export value make up for 40% of its GNP, indicating that China is repidly merging into global economy. In this 1, 2 billion-population country, the difference of economic levels between urban and rural, coastal and inland regions is so big that a few metropolises in the coastal region have the possibilities and potentials to develop into international cities regardless of rather low GNP per capita of the whole country. This article will focus on analysis from several perspectives, such as the proportion of foreign trade values in GDP, the proportion of imports and exports by foreign funded enterprises in total foreign trade value; distribution of the 500 largest foreign-funded enterprises; distribution of the 500 enterprises with largest import and export values; distrigbution of foreign computer and telecom companies with offices in China; the number of outward flights per week and the international tourists; the value of foreign capital used in cities and so on. From this analysis, it is predicted that Chinese international cities will surely emergy from the eastern coastal regions and they must be the core cities of metropolitan interlocking regions that have been formed or in the process of forming. Those international cities will arise from south to north in turn : Hong Kong-Guangzhu, Shanghai, Beijing-Tianjin, and perhaps the last one is Dalian-Shenyang. The other side of this issue is that there is a long way for the coming international cities in China except Hong Kong. At least China and these core cities must continually devote to (1) improve the regional composition of foreign capital sources. (2) improve the composition of export commodities. (3) improve the investment environment (including hard and soft environment) to attract more transnational corporations to settle. (4) deepen the reform of state-owned enterprises and establish Chinese own transnational corporations to enter the world market.ons to enter the world market.
First phase section of line 9 which had been constructed by first private capitalization business of Seoul city was opened on July 24, 2009. There are 25 stations of 25.5km operation distance between Gaehwa and Sinnonhyeon, running regular and express trains on the same track. The number of daily passenger demand has risen to above 200thousand passengers with record above 90% of anticipatied transport demand in 2010. The construction of second phase section(Sinnonhyeon~Bohoon Hospital : 14km, 13 stations) is currently under construction for opening in 2016. This study aims to suggest optimal operating patterns taking into consideration theoretical operating headways for regular and express trains, demand of rolling stocks mainly analyzed on record of first phase demand of line 9 and anticipated transport demand of second phase basic plan.
