Open and Short Circuit Switches Fault Detection of Voltage Source Inverter Using Spectrogram

  • In the last years, fault problem in power electronics has been more and more investigated both from theoretical and practical point of view. The fault problem can cause equipment failure, data and economical losses. And the analyze system require to ensure fault problem and also rectify failures. The current errors on these faults are applied for identified type of faults. This paper presents technique to detection and identification faults in three-phase voltage source inverter (VSI) by using time-frequency distribution (TFD). TFD capable represent time frequency representation (TFR) in temporal and spectral information. Based on TFR, signal parameters are calculated such as instantaneous average current, instantaneous root mean square current, instantaneous fundamental root mean square current and, instantaneous total current waveform distortion. From on results, the detection of VSI faults could be determined based on characteristic of parameter estimation. And also concluded that the fault detection is capable of identifying the type of inverter fault and can reduce cost maintenance.

TiO2 전극의 소결 온도에 따른 DSSCs의 전기적 특성 및 AFM 형상 비교 (Comparison of Electrical Properties and AFM Images of DSSCs with Various Sintering Temperature of TiO2 Electrodes)

  • In order to improve the efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC), $TiO_2$ electrode screen-printed on transparent conducting oxide (TCO) substrate was sintered in variation with different temperature$(350\;to\;550^{\circ}C)$. $TiO_2$ electrode on fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) glass was assembled with Pt counter electrode on FTO glass. I-V properties of DSSCs were measured under solar simulator. Also, effect of sintering temperature on surface morphology of $TiO_2$ films was investigated to understand correlation between its surface morphology and sintering temperature. Such surface morphology was observed by atomic force microscopy (AFM). Below sintering temperature of $500^{\circ}C$, efficiency of DSSCs was relatively lower due to lower open circuit voltage. Oppositely, above sintering temperature of $500^{\circ}C$, efficiency of DSSCs was relatively higher due to higher open circuit voltage. In both cases, lower fill factor (FF) was observed. However, at sintering temperature of $500^{\circ}C$, both efficiency and fill factor of DSSCs were mutually complementary, enhancing highest fill factor and efficiency. Such results can be explained in comparison of surface morphology with schematic diagram of energy states on the $TiO_2$ electrode surface. Consequently, it was considered that optimum sintering temperature of a-terpinol included $TiO_2$ paste is at $500^{\circ}C$.

인버티드 유기태양전지용 Ti-Zn-O 버퍼층 특성 평가 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 RF/DC 마그네트론 스퍼터링 시스템을 이용하여 co-sputtering 방법으로 TiO2와 ZnO를 이용하여 인버티드 유기태양전지용 버퍼층을 제작하고 TiO2와 ZnO의 함량에 따른 인버티드 유기 태양전지 특성을 비교하였다. Ti-Zn-O 버퍼층은 기존의 버퍼층 제작에 사용되던 용액 공정 대신 스퍼터링 시스템을 이용하여 제작하였다. ITO 전극 상부에 곧바로 Ti-Zn-O를 성막하여 Anode와 버퍼층이 일체화된 투명 전극을 제작하고 ZnO와 TiO2 함량이 유기 태양전지의 특성에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 버퍼층의 TiO2와 ZnO 함량에 따른 광학적, 구조적특성을 UV/Vis spectrometry와 X-ray diffraction (XRD), TEM 등으로 분석하였으며, Ti-Zn-O 박막의 실제 버퍼 층으로서의 적용 가능성을 알아보기 위해 인버티드 유기태양전지로 제작하여 그 특성을 평가하였다. 기존의 인버티드 유기태양전지의 특성이 fill factor of 55.58%, short circuit current of 8.33 mA/cm2, open circuit voltage of 0.66 V, efficiency 3.06%인데 반해 최적 조건의 Ti-Zn-O 버퍼층을 적용했을 경우 fill factor of 52.05%, short circuit current of 8.81 mA/cm2, open circuit voltage of 0.66 V, efficiency 3.03%인 우수한 유기태양전지의 특성을 보임으로써 스퍼터링 공법으로 제작된 Ti-Zn-O 박막의 인버티드 유기태양전지용 버퍼 층으로서의 적용 가능성을 확인하였다.

Pt 상대전극 성막 두께와 두 기판 간격에 따른 DSSC의 효율 특성 (DSSCs Efficiency by Tape Casting Pt Counter Electrode and Different Thickness Between Two Substrates)

  • DSSCs electrical characteristics and efficiency fabricated with different tape casting thickness Pt counter electrodes and different thickness between $TiO_2$ photo electrode and Pt counter electrode substrate were studied. 1 layer Pt counter electrode shows 3.979% efficiency. Efficiency increased as tape casting thickness decreased. The lowest open-circuit voltage was a 0.726 V and the highest short-circuit current was a 2.188 mA on 1 layer Pt counter electrode. On the different thickness between two substrates, the lowest open-circuit voltage 0.712 V and the highest short-circuit current 2.787 mA was measured at $60{\mu}m$ surlyn film thickness and it shows the highest value of 5.067% efficiency.

  • 본 논문에서는 간단한 Maximum Power Point Tracking이 적용된 micro-scale의 빛에너지 하베스팅 회로를 제안한다. 에너지 변환기로는 온칩 PV cell 대신 이와 비슷한 출력을 하는 초소형 PV cell을 사용하였다. 적용된 MPPT는 PV cell의 개방전압($V_{OC}$)와 MPP전압($V_{MPP}$)과의 관계를 이용하였고 이는 pilot PV cell을 이용함으로써 가능하였다. 설계결과 MPPT control을 적용했을 때 부하가 큰 경우에도 대략 $V_{MPP}$ 전압을 부하에 공급함으로써 부하에 연결된 회로가 정상적으로 동작하는 것을 확인하였다. 제안된 회로는 TSMC 0.18um CMOS 공정으로 설계되었다.

저전압 대전류용 개방형 DC-DC 컨버터 모듈에 관한 연구 (A Study on Open-frame Type DC-DC Converter Module for Low-Voltage High-Current Applications)

  • We report the performance of an open-frame type low-voltage high-current DC-DC converter module developed using an active clamp forward converter circuit and current doubler rectifier. The converter module is designed with the specifications of an 1.8V output voltage, 25A output current, and 36-75V input voltage. The synchronous rectifier is used to reduce the conduction fuss at high current level and current-mode control is adapted to enhance the flexibility in the system configuration. A prototype converter module is successfully implemented within 10mm height and half brick size (58${\times}$61mm), and recorded an 84% efficiency and 4% voltage regulation for the entire input voltage range, thereby demonstrating its application potentials to future telecommunication electronics.

  • 18쌍의 Bi2Te3계 p-n 가압소결체 열전레그들로 구성되어 있으며 상하부 기판이 없고 내부는 polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)로 충진되어 있는 유연열전모듈을 형성하고, 이의 발전특성과 굽힘특성을 분석하였다. 유연열전모듈을 팔목에 부착하였을 때 서있는 정적인 상태에서는 2.23 mV의 open circuit 전압과 1.69 ㎼의 최대출력전력이 얻어졌으며, 걸어가는 동적인 상태에서는 3.32 mV의 open circuit 전압과 3.41 ㎼의 최대출력전력이 얻어졌다. 유연열전모듈에 굽힘곡률반경 25 mm로 30,000회까지 반복굽힘 싸이클을 인가하여도 저항변화율이 1% 미만으로 유지되었다.

유니몰프 압전소자를 이용한 발전 판넬의 출력특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Output Characteristics for the Generation Panel using Unimorph Piezoelectric Element)

  • The ability for energy harvesting via the piezoelectric effect was studied for a unimorph element such as piezo buzzer. A simple equivalent circuit was proposed to predict the energy generated based on the internal stress. Unimorphs with a metal-cavity were used as a driving device of the generation panel. Both the AC open voltage and DC output voltage as a function of pressure period and number of element were measured. For the unimorph generation circuit, DC output voltage varies with pressure period, reaching a maximum value at $470{\mu}F$. The maximum output voltage a according to load resistance was measured at $1M{\Omega}$. Data analysis of the DC output voltage and time constant indicated that number of piezoelectric element of optimum was 60~80. It was found that piezoelectric unimorph has the possibility to be used as the driving element of the electric generation.

The Effect of the Cutting Parameters on Performance of WEDM

  • In this study, variations of cutting performance with pulse time, open circuit voltage, wire speed and dielectric fluid pressure were experimentally investigated in Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM) process. Brass wire with 0.25 mm diameter and AISI 4140 steel with 10 mm thickness were used as tool and work materials in the experiments. The cutting performance outputs considered in this study were surface roughness and cutting speed. It is found experimentally that increasing pulse time, open circuit voltage, wire speed and dielectric fluid pressure increase the surface roughness and cutting speed. The variation of cutting speed and surface roughness with cutting parameters is modeled by using a regression analysis method. Then, for WEDM with multi-cutting performance outputs, an optimization work is performed using this mathematical models. In addition, the importance of the cutting parameters on the cutting performance outputs is determined by using the variance analysis (ANOVA).
