  • There nay be fierce debate over the nature of the medium that will herald the brave new world copper, fiber, wireless or satellite there is little doubt that future networks will be broadband in their capabilities. The Republic of Korea is a significant exception and leads the world, at present, in terms of number of subscribers with broadband access via ADSL. In order to further drive the growth in the broadband Internet access market, the government is scheduled to implement open access for ISPs and unbundling of the local loops of incumbent public telecom operators during the course of 2001.   • A Linear Stepping Motor(LSM) can operate open loop control mode similarly to a rotary stepping motor. The linear motion without any mechanical linkage in the LSM results in several advantages for precise positioning actuators. However, to realize the more stable and higher speed control without hunting, it is necessary to derive an equivalent circuit to explain the steady-state and transisent characteristics in order to find an adequate control rule for high performance control of the LSM. In this paper, magnetic equivalent circuit is obtained, based on the structure of the LSM, and then the electric equivalent circuit of the LSM is derived by solving equations for the magnetic equivalent circuit. The 1-step response characteristic of the LSM is analyzed by the ACSL with the voltage equations, the force equations, the force equations and the kinetic equation.

  • This paper reports an electrostatically driven and electromagnetically sensed planar vibratory gyroscope based on a surface-bulk combined micromachining. The fabricated structure has comb electrodes which are 400${\mu}m$ thick, 18${\mu}m$ wide, 600${\mu}m$ long and separated by 7${\mu}m$ so that the height-gap ratio is about 57. It also has electroplated gold springs which are 15${\mu}m$ wide, 14${\mu}m$ thick and 500${\mu}m$ long on both sides of the seismic mass. The open-loop characteristics of fabricated gyroscope at atmospheric pressure are measured on a rate table. The fabricated gyroscope has a sensitivity of 30mV/deg/sec, and a resolution of 0.1deg/sec at atmospheric pressure. It is expected that non linearity of full scale output is less than 0.8% with. the dynamic range of $\pm$500deg/sec.

  • H. $W\"{o}lfflin's$ methodology created viewpoint of art history which is an essential factor of art, and proposed formal analysis as an academic methodology specific to art history. H. $W\"{o}lfflin's$ expressed the see-form a as the five pair concepts which are summarized by 'linear-painterly' 'the plane-the deep'. 'closed form-open form', 'multiplicity-unity', 'absolute clarity-relative clarity'. His methodology is not only in the field of art and architecture but also clothing because during the same period have a relative tendency of thought, culture, politics and economics each other. As the result of this study were as follows. Renaissance of 16 century, the style of dress was enormous and dignified by body support outfit, hard puffs, slashes, padding and expansive jewels. It make appearance of man and woman absolute clarity because Classicism styles of aesthetic consciousness is geometrically perfect form and symmetry and restrained harmony, magnificent. Baroque of 17 century, the style of dress was vigorous mobility and subtle balance by abundant and free silhouette, soft collar, magnificent ribbon loop and tassel without body support outfit. It make appearance of man and woman comfortable and natural because Baroque styles of aesthetic consciousness is extraordinary degree of originality and creativity that was evident in the devising of new styled.

Molecular Analysis and Enzymatic Characterization of Cathepsin B from Olive Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) (넙치 카텝신 B의 분자생물학적 분석 및 효소학적 특성 연구)

  • Papain family중 하나인 cysteine protease는 근골격계 질환 치료를 위한target molecule로 인식 되어왔으며 Cathepsin B 는 단백질 분해의 초기과정에 관여하는 cysteine proteases 중 하나이다. 본 연구는 넙치의 cathepsin B 유전자의 발현 양상과 넙치 cathepsin B(PoCtB)의 클로닝, 발현 및 효소특성을 분석하였다. cDNA Library Screening을 이용하여 넙치의 cDNA를 클로닝하였다. 넙치의 동정된 cathepsin B 유전자는 993bp의 open reading frame과 330개의 아미노산으로 이루어져있다. Cathepsin B의 propeptide region 내에 GNFD motif와 occluding loop 가 존재함으로써 이것이 명백하게 cathepsin B group이라는 것을 보여주며, 계통 유전학적 분석 결과 다른 종의 cathepsin B에 비해 초창기에 분화되어 나온 것으로 사료된다. mature enzyme인 maPoCtB은 fusion protein인 glutathione S-transferase를 포함하는 pGEX-4T-1 vector에 삽입하여 E.coli 균주인 $DH5{\alpha}$ 내에 발현시켰다. 재조합 단백질인 PoCtB을 과발현 시킨 결과 53kDa의 분자량을 가진다. 넙치 cathepsin B 활성은 Z-Arg-Arg-AMC와 같은 fluorogenic 펩타이드 기질을 이용하여 측정되었고 적정 pH는 pH.7.5 이다.

  • In this paper, we have proposed a novel DGS(Defected Ground Structure) resonator and has designed the band -pass filter using the proposed ${\subset}$ stub-I type DGS resonator. This structure has strong advantages that can vary the retune loss at the passband freely and also can easily tune the attenuation pole frequency at the stopband. The bandpass filter can be made more smaller than the existing filters and be used to find the various applications for eliminating the harmonics and spurious mode at IMT-2000 band.

  • A compact and two-dimensional atomic force microscope (AFM) using an orthogonal sample scanner, a calibrated homodyne laser interferometer and a commercial AFM head was developed for use in the nano-metrology field. The x and y position of the sample with respect to the tip are acquired by using the laser interferometer in the open-loop state, when each z data point of the AFM head is taken. The sample scanner which has a motion amplifying mechanism was designed to move a sample up to $100{\times}100{\mu}m^2$ in orthogonal way, which means less crosstalk between axes. Moreover, the rotational errors between axes are measured to ensure the accuracy of the calibrated AFM within the full scanning range. The conventional homodyne laser interferometer was used to measure the x and y displacements of the sample and compensated via an X-ray interferometer to reduce the nonlinearity of the optical interferometer. The repeatability of the calibrated AFM was measured to sub-nm within a few hundred nm scanning range.

  • We propose a pulsed $CO_2$laser below 30W by the AC(60Hz) switching control of leakage transformer primary which has some advantages of cost and size compared to a typical pulsed power supply. Pulse repetition rate is adjusted from 5 Hz to 60 to Hz control laser output. In this laser a low voltage open loop control for high voltage pulse discharge circuit is employed to aviod the Hv sampling or switching and high voltage leakage transformer is used to convert low voltage pulse rectified from AC to high voltage one. A ZCS(Zero Crossing Switch) circuit and a PIC(programble one-chip microprocessor are used to control gate signal of SCR precisely. The pulse repetition rate is limited by 60Hz due to the frequency of AC line and a high leadkage inductance. The maximum laser output was about 23 W at pulse repetition rate of 60Hz total gas mixture of $CO_2$ : $N_2$ : He=1: 9: 15 and total pressure of 18 Torr

  • This paper presents a novel three-phase current-fed Pulse Width Modulation converter with switched capacitor type resonant DC link commutation circuit operating PWM pattern strategy under a design consideration of low-pass filter, which can operate on the basis of the principle of zero current soft switching commutation. In the first place, the steady state operating principle of this converter with a new resonant DC link snubber circuit is described in connection with the equivalent operation circuit, together with the practical design procedure of the switched-capacitor type resonant DC link circuit is discussed from a theoretical viewpoint on the basis of a design example for high-power applications. The actively delayed time correction method to compensate distorted currents due to a relatively long resonant commutation time is newly implemented in the open loop control scheme so as to acquire the new optimum PWM pattern. Finally, the experiment of set-up in laboratory system of this converter is concretely demonstrated herein to confirm a zero current soft-switching commutation of this converter. The comparative evaluations between current -fed hard switching PWM and soft-switching PWM converters are carried out from a viewpoint of their PWM converter characteristics.

  • 본 논문에서는 2단 AC/DC 컨버터와 단일단 AC/DC 컨버터가 가지고 있는 단점들을 개선 할 수 있는 새로운 준 단일 전력단 컨버터를 제안한다. DC/DC 단으로는 동적 특성이 좋은 LLC 컨버터를 채용하여 별도의 제어기 없이 고정 주파수 및 고정 Duty(50%) 발생기에 의해 Open Loop로 구동 시킴으로써 저가격화 및 고효율화를 획득 할 수 있다. 또한 역률개선단은 Boost 컨버터를 채용하고 간단한 제어기 1개를 사용하여 역률 개선과 동시에 DC/DC 단의 최종출력을 제어한다. 기존 2단 PFC 컨버터와는 다르게 PFC 링크전압을 Feedback 하지 않고 DC/DC 단의 최종 출력을 Feedback 하여 제어한다. 제안된 회로의 우수성 검증을 위해 600W급 시작품을 이용한 실험 결과를 제시한다.
