  • In this paper, we developed a Windows 98 version off-line programming system which can simulate a track vehicle model in 3D graphics space. The track vehicle was adopted as an objective model. The interface between users and the off-line program system in the Windows 98' graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by Silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D graphics.

  • For a fixed positive integer g, we let $\mathcal{P}_g=\{Y{\in}\mathbb{R}^{(g,g)}{\mid}Y=^tY>0\}$ be the open convex cone in the Euclidean space $\mathbb{R}^{g(g+1)/2}$. Then the general linear group GL(g, $\mathbb{R}$) acts naturally on $\mathcal{P}_g$ by $A{\star}Y=AY^tA(A{\in}GL(g,\mathbb{R}),\;Y{\in}\mathcal{P}_g)$. We introduce a notion of polarized real tori. We show that the open cone $\mathcal{P}_g$ parametrizes principally polarized real tori of dimension g and that the Minkowski modular space 𝔗g = $GL(g,\mathbb{Z}){\backslash}\mathcal{P}_g$ may be regarded as a moduli space of principally polarized real tori of dimension g. We also study smooth line bundles on a polarized real torus by relating them to holomorphic line bundles on its associated polarized real abelian variety.

  • Recently, Khronos institude OpenGL ES 2.0 API for support Shader 3.0 model that can possible variable graphic processing. For this reason, the mobile device have need of supporting processor for a shader 3.0 model. We should extend instruction's length to support OpenGL ES 2.0 API, so we need more memory size. In this paper, we propose a new instruction form that adopted variable length and unit instruction architecture. This proposed instruction architecture that support to Shader 3.0 model has consist of 32bit unit instructions up to 4 which can be combined for embellishing each other. Therefore, it can execute flexible instruction combination and reduce waste of instruction fields.

  • A software to visualize and analyse 3-D seismic data is developed using OpenGL, one of the most popular 3-D graphic library, under the PC and Windows platform. The software can visualize the data as volume and slices, whose color distribution is specified by a special dialog box that can pick a color in RGB or HSV format. The dialog box can also designate opacity values so that several 3-D objects can be displayed superimposed each other. Horizon picking is implemented very easily with this software thanks to the guided picking method. The picked points from a horizon will compose a set of points, mesh, and a surface, which can be viewed and analysed in three dimensions.

  • This study compared the Character Studio of 3ds Max and OpenGL to find an adequate modeling method of character animation to be used in motion analysis in the area of motor mechanics. The subject was one male golfer. We obtained the positional coordinates of marks needed by photographing the subject's golf swing motions. Because the method based on the Character Studio used meticulously designed character meshes, it enabled high.level animation but it took a long time in applying physique and demanded the repeated adjustment of each motion data. With the method based on OpenGL, a character completed once could be usable to almost every testee and desired program control was available, but because each character had to be created by making a computer program, it was hard to make characters delicately. Because the method using the Character Studio is actively studied not only in motor mechanics but also in many research areas, it is expected to be more usable in the near future. On the contrary, the method based on OpenGL is easily applicable and allows the convenient use of other mechanical data.

  • This paper describes the development of an effective celestial learning system using virtual reality technology. Our system support a deep immersion and comfortable navigation by using HMD(Head Mounted Display) and 3 dimensional mouse. We make three dimensional celestial image dynamically with OpenGL and display the rendered image to HMD. Students can feel that they are on the space ship and navigate through the celestial body. During the navigation, students can get the information of each planet and solve given problems. Our system shows that virtual reality can be used as an effective tool for training and education.

  • Optical coherence tomography(OCT) is a high resolution imaging system which can image the cross section of microscopic organs in a living tissue with about $1{\mu}m$ resolution. In this paper, we implement OCT system and acquire 2-D images of rat eye and human molar samples especially in the field of opthalmology and dentistry. In terms of 2-D images, we reconstruct 3-D OCT images which give us another inner structural information of target objects. OPEN-GL reduces the 3-D processing time 10 times less than MATLAB.
