The use of calcium sulfoaluminate (CSA) cement as a rapid-hardening cement admixture or eco-friendly alternate for ordinary Portland cement (OPC) has been attempted over the years, but the cost of CSA cement and availability of suitable aluminium resource prevent its wide practical application. To propose an effective ground improvement design in sandy soil, this study aims at blending a certain percentage of CSA with OPC to find an optimum blend that would have fast-setting behavior with a lower carbon footprint than OPC without compromising the mechanical properties of the cemented sand. Compared to the 100% CSA case, initial speed of strength development of blended cement is relatively low as it is mixed with OPC. It is found that 80% OPC and 20% CSA blend has low initial strength but eventually produces equivalent ultimate strength (28 days curing) to that of CSA treated sand. The specific OPC-CSA blend (80:20) exhibits significantly higher strength gain than using pure OPC, thus allowing effective geotechnical designs for sustainable and controlled ground improvement. Further parametric studies were conducted for the blended cement under various curing conditions, cement contents, and curing times. Wet-cured cement treated sand had 33% lower strength than that of dry-cured samples, while the stiffness of wet-cured samples was 25% lower than that of dry-cured samples.

In this paper, it is investigated that the limitation due to the asymmetry of optical power and chromatic dispersion with respect to optical phase conjugator (OPC) for compensating optical signal distortion of WDM channels in mid-span spectral inversion (MSSI) technique is overcame by using OPC position offset and optimal dispersion coefficients of fiber sections, which depend on OPC position offset. It is confirmed that overall WDM channels are efficiently compensated by applying the optimal parameter values obtained from the proposed method into 24 channels ${\times}\;40\;Gbps$ WDM system with non zero - dispersion shifted fiber (NZ-DSF) of 1,000 km, such as power penalties of inter-channel are reduce to almost 3.5 dB from the infinite value. It is also confirmed that the flexible design of WDM system with OPC is possible by using the optimal parameters, in which OPC is placed at ${\pm}15\;km$ from 500 km for efficiently compensating overall channels.

The critical chloride content of rebar embedded in concrete was experimentally evaluated according to the admixture replacement ratio and admixture type. Four types of reinforced concrete were mixed OPC 100%, OPC 70% + GGBFS 30%, OPC 40% + GGBFS 60%, and OPC 40% + GGBFS 40% + FA 20%. NaCl solution was supplied to the specimens, and the open circuit potential of the embedded rebar was monitored. The specimens determined to initiate corrosion were cut at intervals of 5mm from the NaCl solution supply surface and conducted to chlorine ion profile. Corrosion initiation time of rebar embedded in concrete was delayed as the admixture replacement ratio increased. Looking at the critical chloride content of the types of reinforced concrete, it was highest in OPC 1.46kg/㎥, followed in order by S30 0.98kg/㎥, TBC 0.74kg/㎥, and S60 0.71kg/㎥.
This study investigated the compressive strength, flexural strength, setting time, and rebound when blast furnace slag and anhydrite, which are widely used mineral admixtures for concrete, are applied to shotcrete. When Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) was replaced at a rate of 10% with blast furnace slag and anhydrite, the initial and final setting time requirements were all satisfied. However, when OPC was replaced at a rate of 20%, final setting was delayed, revealing that this mixture was not suitable for shotcrete. Compressive strength test results showed that the mixture with 10% OPC replacement rate met the target strength at 1 day and 28 days for permanent tunnel support usage. Particularly, the mixture designed with OPC replacement by blast furnace slag and anhydrite at rates of 5% showed the highest compressive strength. Rebound measurements revealed that this mixture exhibited excellent performance with 23% reduction in the rebound compared to the shotcrete that was produced with only OPC binder.

This study analyzed the basic characteristics and the characteristic of drying shrinkage and creep of high performance concrete complexly metathesized by BS and FA and the results are summarized as the followings. Regarding to the compressive strengths according to the passage of aging, OPC was appeared to be larger than B2F1 at the initial aging but B2F1 was appeared to be higher than OPC at aging 28days. Regarding to the changing rate of drying shrinkage according to the passage of aging, both OPC and B2F1 were appeared to be increased and, at aging 60days, B2F1 was appeared to be largely increased by about 42% as -21${\times}$10-6 및 -51${\times}$10-6 as compared to OPC. The transforming rate of creep was appeared to have been largely increased at the initial aging and then be smoothly increased somewhat as the aging was passed. And regardign to the transforming rate of creep after 60 days had been passed, B2F1 was appeared to be largely increased by about 13% as compared to OPC.

In this paper, optimal position of optical phase conjugator (OPC) for best compensating distorted WDM channels due to both chromatic dispersion and self phase modulation (SPM) in $8{\times}40$ Gbps WDM systems is numerically investigated, and the eye opening penalty (EOP) and bit error rate (BER) characteristics of overall WDM channels at this position is investigated, comparing with that in case of OPC placed at mid-way of total transmission length. It is confirmed that the compensation extents in WDM system with OPC is more improved by the shifting OPC position from the mid-way of total transmission length, depending on the modulation format and fiber dispersion coefficient. Ant it is confirmed that, from a viewpoint of the reception performance, EOP of each channel is more or less different with one another, but the BER characteristics of overall channels are almost equal.

The present study is an experimental study to investigate the characteristics of strength by mixing polyaluminum chloride(PAC) with OPC-slag-FA ternary blended cement. There are three types of binders: 80% OPC + 10% slag + 10% FA, 60% OPC + 20% slag + 20% FA, and 40% OPC + 30% slag + 30% FA. PACs used 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10% of the mixing-water weight. Experimental results show that PAC improves compressive strength regardless of the amount of OPC. PAC consumes portlandite, forms Friedel's salt, and reduces the diameter of the pores, making the matrix compact, contributing to the improvement of compressive strength. However, porous FA particles had an effect of delaying hydration by absorbing PAC in the initial hydration step. Therefore, the use of FA needs to determine the substitution rate in consideration of the hydration delay effect.

Limitation of optical phase conjugation for implementation of wideband and long-haul WDM transmission system is symmetric distribution of optical power and local dispersion with respect to optical phase conjugator (OPC). This limitation forces OPC to place at midway of total transmission length. This paper shows that the limitation of optical phase conjugation is overcame by applying optimal net residual dispersion (NRD) into transmission links based in inline dispersion management (DM). Optimal NRD related with OPC position is decided by combination of precompensation and postcompensation. It is confirmed that optimal NRD depends on launch power of WDM channels and system performance criterion as well as OPC position. That is, in case of 1 dB eye opening penaty (EOP) as a performance criterion for WDM channels with 0 dBm launch power, it is confirmed that OPC is allowed to place at anywhere of 1000 km by applying best NRD related with exact OPC position into transmission links. And, it is confirmed that, under 3 dB EOP criterioin for WDM channels with 3 dBm launch power, OPC is allowed to place at 350~700 km by applying NRD between 100 ps/nm and 200 ps/nm into transmission links, though that NRD value is not best combination of precompensation and postcompensation.

In order to build a smart factory, building a CPPS (Cyber Physical Product System) is an important system that must be accompanied. Through the CPPS, it is the reality of smart factories to move physical factories to a digital-based cyber world and to intelligently and autonomously monitor and control them. But The existing CPPS architectures present only an abstract modeling architecture, and the research that applied the OPC UA Framework (Open Platform Communication Unified Architecture), an international standard for data exchange in the smart factory, as the basic system of CPPS It was insufficient. Therefore, it is possible to implement CPPS that can include both cloud and IoT by collecting field data distributed by CPPS architecture applicable to actual factories and concentrating data processing in a centralized In this study, we implemented CPPS architecture through central OPC UA Server based on OPC UA conforming to central processing OPC UA Framework, and how CPPS logical process and data processing process are automatically generated through OPC UA modeling processing We have proposed the CPPS architecture including the model factory and implemented the model factory to study its performance and usability.

Digital-Twin are recognized as an important core technology for the realization of Smart Factories by simulating and optimizing the monitoring and predictive maintenance of manufacturing equipment and the operation of production lines in a digital space. To implement this system, we adopt the IEC62541-based OPC-UA (Open Platform Communications Unified-Architecture) Protocol, which has strengths in interoperability and connectivity between heterogeneous platforms. Therefore, In this paper, We designed and implemented an IIoT(Industry Internet of Things) system that connects heterogeneous platforms, and developed an OPC-UA simulator based on IEC 62541. We will present whether the data will be applied to the Digital-Twin Platform and whether it will work, and proceed with performance tests and evaluations. We evaluate the operation performance and OPC-UA performance of the Digital-Twin platform lightened by the proposed device, and present the optimal IEC62514-based simulator system. We proceeded with the performance evaluation of sending and receiving data with OPC-UA wrapping with the proposed simulator, and found that a lightweight Digital-Twin platform can be operated. This research can apply the OPC-UA protocol for implementing smart factory and meta-factory in the manufacturing shop floor with limited resources, avoiding the waste of time and space on the shop floor through the OPC-UA simulator. We expect that this will contribute to a significant improvement in efficiency by minimizing.
