  • The purpose of this study is to derive the necessary factors by conducting a questionnaire survey for SMEs with experience in participating in the online export support business in order to derive the factors that activate SMEs' online marketing. As a result, it was found that the Corporate trade capacity had a positive influence on online marketing utilization, and that the Corporate internal capacity did not have a significant influence on online marketing utilization. Since the consultants' role for export marketing obviously appears to exercise more significant positive effect on online marketing utilization, we can suggest the followings to activate online exports of SMEs. First, more effective efforts are needed to expand the trading capacity to utilize online marketing, and secondly, the export marketing capacity of SMEs needs to be strengthened steadily. In particular, strengthening the capabilities of the trading consultants of participating and performing companies is considered to be an important factor in the use of online marketing by SMEs, we recommend further strengthening each corporate and government policy effort to empower export consultants.

  • With the advancement of technology, the market size of online bookstores is constantly increasing in Korea. Despite the importance of the quality of services provided by online bookstores as many customers use online bookstores, many existing studies have approached only from a linear perspective that satisfying service quality factors will lead to customer satisfaction. In addition, the service quality of online bookstores has only been addressed in general and universal service situations, such as SERVQUAL and e-SERVQUAL and WebQual, or online situations. This study was conducted to consider the specificity of online bookstores and to establish specific strategies for improving service quality. In this study, we present six higher dimensions of service quality for online bookstores and 25 lower dimensions to measure it, and we confirm strategic direction for service quality elements through IPA analysis. As a result of the analysis, a total of 12 factors were included in the first quadrant, which required maintenance of service quality due to the high importance and satisfaction perceived by customers. Next, the importance of customers is high, but their satisfaction is low, so the second quadrant that should be improved first had a total of two factors. Third, the third quadrant was an area where customers perceived low importance and satisfaction, and a total of nine factors were involved. Finally, the fourth quadrant was an area where the customer was satisfied but perceived low importance, with a total of two factors. The results of this study can be used as basic data for strategic use of online service quality factors.

  • With the development of information and communication technology, online fractional investment platforms have emerged through the convergence of online platform technology and new investment techniques for asset-backed derivatives. In this study, the concept and previous studies of the online fractional investment platform business, commercialization models and service processes, market status, and pending discussions and alternatives were presented. Recently, the Securities and Futures Commission's decision on securitization of split ownership has become an important guide to the stable business sustainability of platform operators, but academic research is needed according to the current status and case analysis. To identify specific market issues, examples of representative online fractional investment securitization platform businesses such as "MusiCow" for music copyright, "Tessa" based on art, "Kasa" for real estate, "Piece" based on real assets, and "BangCow" for Korean beef shipments were analyzed. Through the case analysis of this study, the characteristics of the business model according to the basic assets of the online fractional investment platform were compared and presented. Since most business models are judged to be securitic, they must comply with the provisions of the Capital Markets Act or be recognized as the target of innovative financial services. From a practical point of view, it is meaningful in that it presented improvement directions that online fractional securitization platform operators should consider and organized institutional considerations for investor protection.

  • Most traditional newspaper publishers provide online editions to counter the competition of online news providers. However, the relationship between the online and print editions of the same newspaper has not been clearly defined. Some see the online newspaper as a substitute, while others consider it a complement. A 2002 NAA online newspaper consumer survey indicated that one-third of its respondents said they were now using the print newspaper less. Others have argued that the online edition will not wipe out print consumption, and may even complement it. While the print edition offers particular advantages such as portability, less eye strain, and the tactile experience of a printed page, the online edition also offers specific advantages such as access to breaking news, continually updated information, access to old archives, etc. All these factors would tend to lower the degree of interchangeability between the products. However, recent empirical studies show that the online edition is a substitute for rather than a complement of the print edition. Still, to some print readers, the online edition provides additional value. In this paper, by capturing the two different aspects of online editions the substitute aspect and the additional value added aspect as well as other available online alternatives, we develop an analytical model to derive the optimal production and distribution strategies of both online and print editions. Confronting the "free versus fee" issue, we show that it is optimal to provide an online version of the print newspaper for free to non-print subscribers. However, the amount of free news content that the publishers need to put on the Web depends on the available alternatives on the online market. The "fee" and "free" options both have merits and demerits as well. If the publisher charges for the online version of the print newspaper, she can generate revenue from the fee charged to online readers. However, doing so will limit the size of the online audience and further reduce online advertising revenue. At the same time, by providing a high-quality online version and charging for it, the price of the print newspaper must stay low in order to lure high valued readers. On the contrary, if the publisher provides an online version of the print newspaper for free, she can obtain a larger audience for the online version. At the same time, by providing a low-quality online newspaper, the publisher can increase the print newspaper price to get more revenue from high valued offline readers, although no revenue is incoming from online version readers. Through systematic measuring of all the pros and cons, our analysis shows that the optimal option is not "fee" but "free."

  • This study examines open market websites of Korea and China and identifies differences in the web design factors so as to verify how the design factors affect consumers' trust and purchase intention in the open market websites. Two hundred consumers, respectively in Korea and China, filled out survey questionnaires. According to the survey result, design factors of open market websites of both countries consisted of context, contents, communities, communication, connectivity and commercial transaction; and trust-building factors were comprised of customer services, product perception and security perception. This study found that there was no significant difference in the design factors of open market websites between the two countries, but trust levels in accordance with design factors and purchase intention in accordance with trust level differed by country. Therefore, this result would help Korean companies targeting Chinese consumers understand that there are differences between Korean and Chinese consumers in their trust level and purchase intention in accordance with open market website designs; encourage Korean online shopping malls to move to the Chinese market; and provide rich insights into developing marketing plans based on the different web design factors of Korean and Chinese open markets.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine and compare effects of psychological factors on market mavenism and fashion leadership in order to determine the differences of two influential groups in the marketplace. The data were collected from 20's-50's consumers through an online survey institute and a total of 857 questionnaires were analyzed. Demographic variables (gender, age, and income level) were entered into the regression model 1 as independent variables, and 6 factors of consumer self-confidence, clothing involvement, status consumption, and price consciousness were entered into the regression model 2. In the regression model 1, gender (female) alone was significant in explaining market mavenism, while the income level had a positive relationship with fashion leadership. In the regression model 2, information acquisition, social outcome, persuasion knowledge among consumer self-confidence, and status consumption were significant predictors of market mavenism. On the other hand, personal outcome, social outcome, persuasion knowledge, clothing involvement, and status consumption had an effect on the fashion leadership. When comparing magnitudes of effects in predicting market mavenism and fashion leadership, social outcome and status consumption showed to have stronger impacts on fashion leadership than on market mavenism. Psychological factors showed to be more powerful in predicting market mavenism or fashion leadership, as compared to demographic variables.

  • As digital technology converges into the e-commerce market across industries, online transactions have activated, and the use of online has increased. With the recent spread of infectious diseases such as COVID-19, this market flow is accelerating, and various product information can be provided to customers online. Providing a variety of information provides customers with various opportunities but causes difficulties in decision-making. The recommendation system can help customers to make a decision more effectively. However, the previous research on recommendation systems is limited to only quantitative data and does not reflect detailed factors of products and customers. In this study, we propose an intelligent recommendation system that quantifies the attributes of products and customers by applying text mining techniques to qualitative data based on online reviews and integrates the existing objective indicators of total star rating, sentiment, and emotion. The proposed integrated recommendation model showed superior performance to the overall rating-oriented recommendation model. It expects the new business value to be created through the recommendation result reflecting detailed factors of products and customers.
