Online banking service: A comparative study between developing country (Bangladesh) and developed country (South Korea)

  • Purpose - This describes a comparative study about the Online banking system between developing country (Bangladesh) and developed country (South Korea). Research design, data, and Methodology - Use comparison as the descriptive situation, secondary data were used to determine the differences between both countries with respect to Online banking. And also show the representative cases of online banking, kakao bank and bKash. Result - The results showed that the data indicate that both nations are dissimilar in providing basic and additional services offered by their traditional commercial banks. And different cultures and traditions in financial industry will play a major role in the adaption and development of online banking industry among different nations. Belief on lack of effort on educating the consumers toward online banking further affected the usability of online banking in both countries. Conclusions - this comparative study provides insightful guidelines for the future development of online banking industry in developing nations and worldwide. Also, managerial and empirical implications are discussed with suggestions for future research.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 온라인 강의가 지속됨에 따라 온라인 강의 시스템, 이용 동기, ICT 활용능력, 강의만족도 간의 관계성을 찾기 위함이다. 이를 위해 우송대학교 재학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 유효표본 330부를 확보하였으며, SPSS 25.0을 활용하여 실증분석을 시행하였다. 연구 결과는 시스템의 편의성·용이성·보안성과 이용 동기가 강의만족도에 유의미한 영향을 미치며, 조절효과의 변수인 ICT 활용능력은 시스템 특성(용이성 및 보안성)과 강의만족도 간의 관계에서도 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 학생들의 온라인 강의의 만족도를 높이기 위해 서는 새로운 온라인 시스템 개발은 물론 ICT활용 능력을 향상시키기 위한 별도의 교육프로그램 개발 및 운영의 필요성을 제시하였다. 끝으로 온라인 강의에 대한 만족도를 높이기 위해 향후 다양한 표본조사와 연구가 필요할 것으로 보인다.

휴리스틱 기법을 이용한 휠체어 사용자를 위한 온라인 남성정장 맞춤시스템 개발 (Development of an Online Men's Suits Customizing System using Heuristic Procedure for Wheelchair Users)

  • An online suit-customizing system for the special accessibility needs of wheelchair users should be developed because the demand for business suits by wheelchair users involved in economic activities has increased. This study develops a user interface an online customizing system for men's suits specialized for wheelchair users. This study used a five-step approach: (1) search for online men's suits customizing system in web porter sites, (2) select three sites based on three terms, (3) heuristic testing with five web specialists, (4) development of a system user interface based on suggestions for improvement from the heuristic test, (5) usability testing of the user interface prototype by 10 disabled men in wheelchairs. The interface of Company S had high ratings on interactivity, accessibility, informativeness, and consistency in the heuristic test results; subsequently, a user interface was developed based on suggestions for improvement from the heuristic test. This online user interface for customizing men's suits provides better usability to wheelchair users than existing online interfaces aimed at the non-disabled and disabled; consequently, this study contributes to the commercialization of an online customizing system for men's suits specializing in serving wheelchair users.

The Effect of Sense of Community on Learner Satisfaction in Online Learning : A Meditating Model

  • This study examines the effect of sense of community on the relationship between learner satisfaction and influencing factors related to the online learning environment. Influencing factors related to the online learning environment are derived from previous literature and classified into two groups : social dimension (leader's enthusiasm, offline activities) and system dimension (usefulness, ease of use, enjoyability). Learner satisfaction is defined as the learners' perceived learning gains from taking an online class. Study participants included 250 university students from two different institutions. The participants were divided into 43 groups and asked to complete an online TOEIC preparation module using a commercial cooperative learning system over 4 weeks. Data were collected at three points for each participant, at the beginning, 3 weeks after, and at the end of the online module. Two system factors related to the online learning environment (ease of use, usefulness) directly influenced learner satisfaction, while social factors indirectly influenced learner satisfaction through the mediating role of sense of community.

비대면 교육 환경에서 온라인 협업 툴 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on Factors Affecting Intention to Use Online Collaboration Tools for the Non-Face-to-Face Educational Environment)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the factors affecting the intention to use online collaboration tools for non-face-to-face educational environment in the perspective of the learners. Methods: For empirical analysis, the survey of this study was administered with data that were limited to experienced learners using online collaboration tools such as Google Docs, Allo, Padlet, and Slido in online education environments such as Zoom, Webex, MS Teams, etc. and valid 400 data were analyzed by SPSS(ver 22.0) and R(ver 4.1.0) program package. Results: The results of empirical analysis showed that performance expectancy were found to have an effect on reliability of system quality, empathy of service quality, playfulness and informativity of content quality among the characteristics of online collaboration tools. On the other hand, it was found that the security of system quality, responsiveness of service quality, and extroversion of user personality characteristics did not affect. It was analyzed that playfulness had the greatest positive effect, followed by informativity, empathy, and reliability. Among the characteristics of online collaboration tools, it was found that the reliability and security of system quality and informativity of content quality had an effect on the effort expectancy. It was analyzed that informativity has the greatest influence, followed by security and reliability. Conclusion: This study is meaningful in that it examines the perspectives of users and learners, who can be said to be the end customers of online collaboration tools. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that not only platform operators that provide online collaborative tools, but also providers that use online collaboration tools will have a significant impact on the development of edutech and infrastructure in the educational environment.

한국 온라인게임 산업의 서비스 혁신패턴 분석 (Analysis of Innovation Patterns of Korean Online Game Industry)

  • Using the service innovation system model, the development of Korean online game industry is analyzed. The model proposed by Gallouj (2002) is modified in order to reflect IT service characteristics such as network externalities. Success factors and innovations patterns of Korean online game industry are examined. First, at the early stage of her growth, Korean online game industry was not supported or coordinated by any Government policies unlike DRAM, CDMA or TFT-LCD. Many parts of technical and service innovations were unintentionally initiated by online game developing ventures without predeterminde strategies. Second, the online game industry is basically a service industry so that users' needs and technical and service characteristics are intertwined to produce innovation. The innovation system of the online game industry is quite different from conventional product technological innovation systems in a sense that there are no blueprints for innovation as well as major players in the system. Third, Government's policies for promotion of IT industry such as the broadband infrastructure installation policy, the hi-tech venture promotion policy and the military exemption policy contributed greatly to development of the online game industry. However, these policy tools were not intended for online game industry but in the end gave a great impact on the service innovation system of the online game industry.

  • 컴퓨터 기술의 급속한 발전으로 인해 ICT 기술을 이용한 온라인 학습은 이미 우리 생활에 빠르게 정착하고 있다. 음악 교육은 오프라인 기반의 환경을 중심으로 진행되었으나, 온라인 교육에 시공간 제약이 없다는 점, 학습자 주도의 쌍방향 교육이 가능하다는 점에서 그 교육 방식을 온라인으로 전환하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 온라인에서 적응형 학습이 가능하도록 '화성학' 학습 시스템을 제안, 설계, 구현하는 일련의 과정을 담는다. 이 시스템은 다음과 같은 긍정적 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 첫째, LMS 기반의 플랫폼을 제공하여, 경제적·지리적 요인에 해당하는 사회적 교육 문제를 해결할 수 있다. 둘째, 온라인 적응형 화성학 학습 시스템이 자동으로 제공하는 객관적인 학습 피드백과 교수자의 학습 피드백을 모두 제공한다. 셋째, 학습자가 자신이 학습한 화성학 문제에 대한 추천 답안을 받을 수 있다. 이러한 이점을 활용한 온라인 적응형 화성학 학습 시스템은 교수자와 학습자 간의 효과적인 교수 학습을 증진시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • Purpose - O2O (online to off-line) is a new economic concept being emerged in the 4th industrial age. Automobile distribution is also undergoing a change to the O2O system. In overseas, vehicles are already being sold through various online platforms. The purpose of this study is to analyze the domestic and foreign automobile distribution structure and intends to suggest the desirable direction of automobile sales in the 4th industrial age. Research design, data, and methodology - Through the investigation of previous studies and the actual cases, the advantages and disadvantages and trends of different types of automobile distribution structures. Result - It can be seen that domestic and foreign automobile brands have quite diverse distribution structures such as direct managed system, agency system, dealer system, direct sales system, online system and online/offline parallel system. Each type has its own characteristics. Conclusion - The distribution structure of automobiles is very diverse, and in particular, it is rapidly changing to an online sales system thanks to the development of information and communication technology and Internet technology and the popularization of smartphones. 이러닝 준비도가 온라인 교육 학습성과에 미치는 영향: 가족건강성의 매개효과 (Effect of Family Strengths on Learning Outcomes in Online Education: Mediating Effect of E-learning Readiness)

  • Purpose: This study was undertaken to identify the mediating effect of family strengths in the relationship between e-learning readiness and learning management system-based online education learning outcomes. Our results provide basic data for proposing strategies to increase online education learning outcomes of nursing students. Methods: A self-report questionnaire was surveyed by 133 nursing students who took online education using a learning management system at three nursing colleges in Daejeon, Jeonbuk, and Gyeongbuk. The mediating effect of family strengths in the relationship between the e-learning readiness of the subject and online education learning outcomes, were analyzed by hierarchical multiple regression. Sobel test was performed to verify effectiveness of the pathway. Results: In the relationship between e-learning readiness and online education learning outcomes of nursing students, family strengths were determined to exert absolute mediating effect. Conclusions: Our results indicate that in order to improve e-learning readiness, the basic curriculum for nursing students should include web-based communication, cooperation, and the use of information technology, including interaction for online education. Improvements in family strengths can be achieved through home study activities, such as frequent conversations with members, monitoring achievements of the students, and sharing family leisure activities.
