도로 소음특성 평가를 위한 HEART CPX Trailer 개발 및 현장 적용성 검증 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Road Noise Characteristics Using the Tire/pavement Noise Measuring Trailer)

  • 본 연구에서는 도로 소음 측정시 다양한 형태로 존재하는 환경소음의 영향을 최소화하고 시간과 장소의 구애 없이 공용 중인 도로 상에서도 측정 및 평가를 가능토록 하기 위해 타이어/포장 소음 측정용 Trailer 장비를 제작 개발하였다. 기존 문헌조사를 바탕으로 도로소음의 특성을 파악하고 국외의 다양한 CPX Trailer 관련 연구사례를 살펴보았으며, 장비의 설계 및 제작 원리를 정립하였다. 이를 바탕으로 HEART CPX Trailer 관련 연구사례를 살펴보았으며, 반무향실 제작에 관한 적합성, 장비의 측정 정밀도 및 현장 적용성 등의 검증을 위해 다양한 시험을 수행하였다. HEART CPX Trailer 장비의 반무향실 제작에 대한 적합성 시험에서는 각 주파수 대역별에 따른 적합성 및 신뢰도를 확인할 수 있었으며, 도로 소음특성 평가용 장비로서 적합하다고 판단된다. 반복측정 시험에서는 각 속도별 및 마이크론폰의 위치별로 우수한 측정 정밀도를 확인할 수 있었다. 공용 중인 상태에서 수행한 도로소음 측정 결과는 2003년 중앙대학교에서 교통 개방 전에 동일구간에 대해 수행하였던 CPB 측정 결과와 유사한 경향을 보였다. 이는 견인차량의 기계소음을 비롯한 공용 중인 도로 주변의 환경소음으로부터 영향을 거의 받지 않기 때문이라 판단되며, 본 장비를 활용한다면 공용 중에도 객관적인 소음 측정이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.

SLIP CONTROLLER DESIGN FOR TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM

  • Two major roles of the traction control system (TCS) are to guarantee the acceleration performance and directional stability even in extreme road conditions, under which average drivers may not control the car properly. Commercial TCSs use experiential methods such as lookup table and gain-scheduling to achieve proper performance under various road and vehicle conditions. This paper proposes a new slip controller which uses the brake and the throttle actuator simultaneously. To avoid measurement problems and to get a simple structure, the brake controller and the throttle controller are designed using Lyapunov redesign method and multiple sliding mode control respectively. Through the hybrid use of brake and throttle controllers, the vehicle is insensitive to the variation of the vehicle mass, brake gain and road condition and can achieve the required acceleration performance. The proposed method is validated with simulations based on 15 DOF passenger car model.

  • In the sound insulation measurements, the influence of background (extraneous) noise is often serious problem and how to reduce its effect and to improve the signal-to-noise(S/N) ratio is an important theme. As the background noise, such extraneous noises as road traffic noise and machine noise often disturb the measurement. In laboratory measurements on specimens with high sound insulation performances, even the internal noise of the measurement system can become a problem. To improve the signal-to-noise ratio and to improve the measurement accuracy, various kinds of digital signal processing techniques can be applied. In this paper, four kinds of digital signal processing techniques are applied and their effectiveness is examined through field measurements.

고속철도차량용 전기장치의 온도특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Temperature Characteristics of Electric Apparatuses for High Speed Train)

  • Recently, as the road capacity reaches the limit and environmental problems becomes serious, there is gradually increased a need for railroad vehicles that are environment-friendly and have time regularity, reliability, and safety. Accordingly, in addition to conventional railroad vehicles, lots of vehicles are being newly developed. We developed the hardware and software of the measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of korean high speed train. The software controls the hardware of the measurement system and acts as interface between users and the system hardware. In this paper, practical experiment are performed to verify mechanical performance of motor and main transformer for Korean high speed rail. The experimental test carried out by using new temperature measurement method and verify the temperature performance of motor and transformer is verified.

도로 노면결빙 판정 알고리즘 연구와 알고리즘을 활용한 도로 결빙 적중률 연구 (A study on road ice prediction algorithm model and road ice prediction rate using algorithm model)

  • 본 연구는 도로 노면결빙 판정 알고리즘에 대해 알고리즘을 개선하고 실제 현장 측정 자료와 알고리즘 예측값을 비교하였을 때 알고리즘에 대한 적중률을 분석하였다. 분석을 위하여 포천시 신북면 금동리의 도로 및 기상을 측정하였다. 알고리즘은 기존 도로 결빙 알고리즘을 선정하여 실제 결빙 조건 및 측정 수치에 맞춰 4차 알고리즘까지 개선하였다. 최종적으로 응결에 의한 결빙, 강수에 의한 결빙, 적설에 의한 결빙, 결빙상태의 지속, 풍속에 의한 결빙 5개의 알고리즘을 제작하였다. 포천 현장에서 알고리즘을 활용하여 예측할 경우 경우 결빙 적중률이 93.22%까지 개선되었다. 결빙 알고리즘에 대한 조합 비율에 대해 도출하였을 때 응결에 의한 결빙과 결빙상태의 지속에 대한 알고리즘이 96%를 차지하였다.

베이지안 기법을 활용한 공용성 모델개발 연구 (Pavement Performance Model Development Using Bayesian Algorithm)

  • PURPOSES : The objective of this paper is to develop a pavement performance model based on the Bayesian algorithm, and compare the measured and predicted performance data. METHODS : In this paper, several pavement types such as SMA (stone mastic asphalt), PSMA (polymer-modified stone mastic asphalt), PMA (polymer-modified asphalt), SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) modified asphalt, and DGA (dense-graded asphalt) are modeled in terms of the performance evaluation of pavement structures, using the Bayesian algorithm. RESULTS : From case studies related to the performance model development, the statistical parameters of the mean value and standard deviation can be obtained through the Bayesian algorithm, using the initial performance data of two different pavement cases. Furthermore, an accurate performance model can be developed, based on the comparison between the measured and predicted performance data. CONCLUSIONS : Based on the results of the case studies, it is concluded that the determined coefficients of the nonlinear performance models can be used to accurately predict the long-term performance behaviors of DGA and modified asphalt concrete pavements. In addition, the developed models were evaluated through comparison studies between the initial measurement and prediction data, as well as between the final measurement and prediction data. In the model development, the initial measured data were used.

승용차 유류소모량 산정 방법의 비교 연구 (Comparison of Fuel Consumption Estimation for Passenger Cars)

  • 효율적인 도로의 설계와 관리를 위해서는 도로건설의 경제성 분석이 중요하며 이를 위해서는 도로 상태별 차량별 유류소모량의 평가가 필요하다. 도로에서는 초기 건설비용, 유지보수비용, 차량운행비용, 지정체비용 등이 발생되는데, 도로의 경제성 분석을 위해서는 초기 건설비용, 유지보수비용 등과 같은 관리자비용과 차량운행비용, 지정체비용 등과 같은 이용자비용을 모두 포함한 사회적 비용이 고려되어야 한다. 이 중 차량운행비용은 교통량에 따라 그 비용이 변화되므로 차량운행비용 항목의 큰 부분을 차지하는 유류소모량 또한 교통량에 따라 변화하게 된다. 그런데 유류소모량은 차량의 주행속도 및 도로포장의 상태, 특히 평탄성에 따라 크게 변화되므로 도로의 경제성 분석을 위한 차량운행비용의 산정을 위해서는 주행차량에 대해 도로 상태에 따른 유류소모량을 평가하여 경제성 분석에 반영해야 할 필요가 있으나 아직 이를 고려하지 못하고 있는 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 국내에서 운행되는 승용차에 대해서 도로 상태별 유류소모량 추정모델을 개발하였다. 우선 우리나라의 교통시설 투자평가 및 도로건설의 예비타당성 조사에서 차량운행비용 산정을 위해 사용되고 있는 주행속도와 유류소모량의 관계식을 고찰하고, 승용차를 대상으로 도로포장의 평탄성에 따른 유류소모량 변화의 관계를 실제 도로에서 실측하여 평탄성과 유류소모량 변화의 관계를 분석하였다. 실험 결과, 평탄성에 따른 유류소모량의 변화는 평탄성이 1m/km 증가하였을 경우 100km 주행시 약 $80m{\ell}$ 정도의 비율로 유류소모량이 증가하는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 도로의 설계 및 유지관리에 있어서 보다 정확한 경제성 분석을 수행하기 위해서는 도로포장의 평탄성에 따른 유류소모량 변화를 고려해야 할 필요가 있다.

Reliability evaluation of steel truss bridge due to traffic load based on bridge weigh-in-motion measurement

  • Steel truss bridge is one of the most widely used bridge types in Indonesia. Out of all Indonesia's national roads, the number of steel truss bridges reaches 12% of the total 17,160 bridges. The application of steel truss bridges is relatively high considering this type of bridge provides advantages in the standardization of design and fabrication of structural elements for typical bridge spans, as well as ease of mobilization. Directorate of Road and Bridge Engineering, Ministry of Works and Housing, has issued a standard design for steel truss bridges commonly used in Indonesia, which is designed against the design load in SNI 1725-2016 Bridge Loading Standards. Along with the development of actual traffic load measurement technology using Bridge Weigh-in-Motion (B-WIM), traffic loading data can be utilized to evaluate the reliability of standard bridges, such as standard steel truss bridges which are commonly used in Indonesia. The result of the B-WIM measurement on the Central Java Pantura National Road, Batang - Kendal undertaken in 2018, which supports the heaviest load and traffic conditions on the national road, is used in this study. In this study, simulation of a sequences of traffic was carried out based on B-WIM data as a moving load on the Australian type Steel Truss Bridge (i.e., Rangka Baja Australia -RBA) structure model with 60 m class A span. The reliability evaluation was then carried out by calculating the reliability index or the probability of structural failure. Based on the analysis conducted in this study, it was found that the reliability index of the 60 m class Aspan for RBA bridge is 3.04 or the probability of structural failure is 1.18 × 10-3, which describes the level of reliability of the RBA bridge structure due to the loads from B-WIM measurement in Indonesia. For this RBA Bridge 60 m span class A, it was found that the calibrated nominal live load that met the target reliability is increased by 13% than stated in the code, so the uniform distributed load will be 7.60 kN/m2 and the axle line equivalent load will be 55.15 kN/m.

열전소자를 활용한 도로구조물에서의 에너지 하베스팅 기초 연구 (Fundamental Study of Energy Harvesting using Thermoelectric Module on Road Facilities)

  • PURPOSES : An conventional method for electric power generation is converting thermal energy into mechanical energy then to electrical energy. Due to environmental issues such as global warming related with $CO_2$ emission etc., were the limiting factor for the energy resources which resulting in extensive research and novel technologies are required to generate electric power. Thermal energy harvesting using thermoelectric generator is one of energy harvesting technologies due to diverse advantages for new green technology. This paper presents a possibility of application of the thermoelectric generator's application in the direct exchange of waste solar energy into electrical power in road space. METHODS : To measure generated electric power of the thermoelectric generator, data logger was adopted as function of experimental factors such as using cooling sink, connection methods etc. Also, the thermoelectric generator、s behavior at low ambient temperature was investigated as measurement of output voltage vs. elapsed times. RESULTS : A few temperature difference between top an bottom of the thermoelectric generator is generated electric voltage. Components of an electrical circuit can be connected in various ways. The two simplest of these are called series and parallel and occur so open. Series shows slightly better performance in this study. An installation of cooling sink in the thermoelectric generator system was enhanced the output of power voltage. CONCLUSIONS : In this paper, a basic concepts of thermoelectric power generation is presented and applications of the thermoelectric generator to waste solar energy in road is estimated for green energy harvesting technology. The possibility of usage of thermoelectric technology for road facilities was found under the ambient thermal gradient between two surfaces of the thermoelectric module. An experiment results provide a testimony of the feasibility of the proposed environmental energy harvesting technology on the road facilities.
