Modulated Carrier Control for Interleaved Continuous Conduction Mode(CCM) Boost Power Factor Correction Converter

  • In recent years, in an effort to improve the efficiency and the power density of the front-end power factor correction(PFC), the interleaving of multiple converter is employed. The conventional interleaved continuous conduction mode(CCM) boost PFC converter requires input and output voltage sensing and three current sensing to obtain current balancing between modules. In this paper, the interleaved CCM PFC converter based on modulated carrier control is proposed. With the proposed method, two phase interleaved PFC can be realized simply without line voltage sensing resistor and can achieve current balancing without additional current sensing resistor on common return path. The simulation studies are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

U라인에서의 작업관련성을 고려한 작업부하 평활화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Workload Smoothness Considering Work Relatedness In the U-Line)

  • In just-in-time production systems, U-shaped production lines rather than traditional straight lines are often adopted since they have some advantages. The advantages of U-lines over straight lines are that the workstations required can be reduced and the necessary number of workers can be easily adjusted when the demand rates are changed. In this paper, we present a new genetic algorithm(GA) to minimize the number of workstations primarily and improve the work relatedness secondarily in the U-line production systems. Also, a new heuristic method is presented according to the work related factors and characteristics of U-line balancing. Some major aspects of the proposed GA are discussed, with emphasis on representation, decoding and evaluation function. Extensive experiments are carried out on well-known test-bed problems in the literature to verify the performance of our algorithm . The computational results show that our algorithm is a promising alternative to existing heuristics.

  • This paper deals with a case study about productivity improvement in medium and small-sized manufacturing factories. It is popular to improve the productivity of lines by shortening the production cycles and assigning multi jobs to workers. We analyze the production lines and improve the productivity in the case study through multi-functional workers and shortened production lines. Based on the case study, we propose some guidelines to improve the productivity of production lines.

  • For the purpose of high outlet pressure, compactness and low vibration and noise, 2 stage reciprocating air compressors can have various cylinder arrangement: opposed, in-line, and V type. This paper presents an effective method to calculate the inertia forces and to design counter weight. This method is based on the complex representation for the orbital behavior of the compressor shaft. This method helps to find the optimal balancing rate easily to reduce the inertial force or moment. This paper shows that the residual inertia forces of the single throw shafts and the residual inertia moments of the double throw shafts remain to be imbalanced.

신경망을 이용한 칼라 입력장치의 칼라 보정 (Color correction of tile color input device using the Neural Network)

  • 칼라 입출력 장비의 가격이 점차로 저렴해짐에 따라 영상으로부터 물체의 형상뿐만아니라 칼라까지도 인식하여 보다 정밀한 정보를 이용하고자하는 요구가 증대되고 있다. 이를 위해서는 칼라 입출력 시스템의 정확한 칼라 표현 및 재현을 위해 칼라 보정에 관한 연구가 선행되어져야한다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 칼라 입출력장비 중 칼라 스캐너의 칼라 보정에 관하여 연구하였다. 칼라 스캐너의 특성은 gray-balancing과 칼라 변환의 두과정을 나뉜다. 칼라 변환으로부터 gray-balancing을 분리함으로써 칼라 변환을 위해 유도되어진 변환 행렬은 모든 형태의 스캐너에 적용될 수 있어 스캐너 특성의 portability를 가능하게 한다. 또한, gray-balance된 RGB값을 얻기위한 선의 적합을 위해 최소자승법을 이용하였고, 칼라 변환을 위해 gray-balance된 RGB로부터 CIE-XYZ로 비선형적 좌표 변환 문제를 저장공간이 많이 필요하지 않고, 빠른 변환결과를 제공할 수 있는 장점이 있는 신경망 기법을 이용하여 해결 하였다. 삼차원 3자극치 공간에서 신경망 출력은 원하는 출력의 근사치를 제공하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 제안된 칼라 보정 방법은 모듈별로 분해되었기 때문에 스캐너 특성의 portability를 가능하게 하여 모든 형태의 스캐너 보정에 이용될 수 있으리라 기대된다.

시뮬레이션 모델을 이용한 K회사 반도체 패키지 공정의 생산량 증가를 위한 연구 (A Study on Throughput Increase in Semiconductor Package Process of K Manufacturing Company Using a Simulation Model)

  • K 회사는 국내외 반도체 제조업체의 주문에 의해 반도체 패키지 제품을 생산 공급하는 기업이다. 생산 공정은 Die Sawing, 조립, 테스트로 구성된 기계중심의 조립라인 형태를 따르고 있다. 본 논문은 K 회사의 공정분석을 토대로 패키지 공정의 생산량을 늘리기 위한 3가지 방안을 제안하고, 이들을 실제 자료를 이용한 시뮬레이션 모델을 통해 평가하는 사례연구를 다룬다. 3가지 방안은 병목공정에 기계 추가에 의한 라인균형, 제품의 그룹 스케쥴링, 비병목공정에서 작업자의 재배치이다. 시뮬레이션 평가결과, 3가지 방안을 혼합 적용하는 경우에 2.8%의 납기위반율 감소 효과와 함께 17.3%의 가장 높은 일일 생산량 증가를 보여 주는 것으로 나타났다. 3가지 방안의 혼합 적용하는 경우의 투자회수기간은 1.37년으로 매우 짧게 구해졌다.

활선 현수애자련 자동 청소 및 점검용 로봇시스템의 개발과 적용 (Development of Robot System for Automatic Cleaning and Inspection of Live-line Suspension Insulator Strings and Its Application)

  • To prevent an insulator failure, an automatic cleaning and inspection robot was developed for suspension insulator strings. The robot autonomously moves along the insulator string using the clamps installed on its two moving frames. Especially, unlike the existing cleaning robots using jets of water, the robot system adopts a dry cleaning method using rotating brushes and a circular motion guide. In addition, a mechanized brush bristles and a voltage-balancing contactor are devised to increase cleaning efficiency and to prevent arc generation under live-line conditions, respectively. We confirmed its effectiveness through experiments.

  • This paper proposes an expert system, which is able to determine the problem-solving strategy for diversity events occurred on the distribution system. The events include events related to the fault, scheduled outage and optimal operating task such as feeder line fault, line scheduled outage, line overload, system load balancing, system loss minimization, main transformer fault, main transformer scheduled outage, main transformer overload, main transformer protection control. The expert system enhances the reliability of software designed by the integrated concept for the diversity events.

And the effectiveness and accuracy for the expert system is verified by simulating the event cases for typical distribution model.

2-Stage Optimal Design and Analysis for Disassembly System with Environmental and Economic Parts Selection Using the Recyclability Evaluation Method

  • Promotion of a closed-loop supply chain requires disassembly systems that recycle end-of-life (EOL) assembled products. To operate the recycling disassembly system, parts selection is environmentally and economically carried out with non-destructive or destructive disassembly, and the recycling rate of the whole EOL product is determined. As the number of disassembled parts increases, the recycling rate basically increases. However, the labor cost also increases and brings lower profit, which is the difference between the recovered material prices and the disassembly costs. On the other hand, since the precedence relationships among disassembly tasks of the product also change with the parts selections, it is also required to optimize allocation of the tasks in designing a disassembly line. In addition, because information is required for such a design, the recycling rate, profit of each part and disassembly task times take precedence among the disassembly tasks. However, it is difficult to obtain that information in advance before collecting the actual EOL product. This study proposes and analyzes an optimal disassembly system design using integer programming with the environmental and economic parts selection (Igarashi et al., 2013), which harmonizes the recycling rate and profit using recyclability evaluation method (REM) developed by Hitachi, Ltd. The first stage involves optimization of environmental and economic parts selection with integer programming with ${\varepsilon}$ constraint, and the second stage involves optimization of the line balancing with integer programming in terms of minimizing the number of stations. The first and second stages are generally and mathematically formulized, and the relationships between them are analyzed in the cases of cell phones, computers and cleaners.
