A comprehensive review for the selection of urban rail vehicle systems that best suit Gimpo railway line is taking place with consideration of the project area characteristics in light of line planning, passenger demand, supply of rolling stock, and railway construction and operation. Various aspects of vehicle systems including passenger demand on concerned lines, regional characteristics, vehicle types, and railway construction and operational settings should be taken into consideration. In addition, request for the introduction of customized vehicle systems reflecting the convenience of transit users such as wide and hospitable inner space, low noise, flexible operation of 2 to 4 car train-set and eye catching slim bridge piers is increasing. A study on alternatives to place an order to opt for optimum rolling stock systems considering line characteristics of Gimpo City's urban railway and future passenger demand while meeting the needs of Gimpo City has been conducted.

We as a civil investment enterprise have been constructing In-cheon International Airport Railway which is a transportation means to approach In-cheon International Airport. In this alignment. a section between the Seoul station and Ka-joa follows the existing Yong-san line at the center of Seoul city and traverses Seoul subway 2,5,6 lines. So we planned that the alignment would have the shallowest depth to lie under Kyung-eui line and above the airport railroad. The alignment is planned to construct an open-box structure only 3.6m apart from the subway line 5 tunnel structure and construct the open-box structure 0.7m apart from the subway line 2 box structure. In the line planning, we investigated both the security of the existing subway structures during and after construction and the stability and workability between newly structured tunnel structures with three dimensions numerical analysis methods. Also we raised the reliability of design verification which was achieved by specialty society's review on the planned construction method.

A "Showrooming" phenomenon has emerged due to the rapid growth of the on-line shopping market and is associated with consumer shopping patterns. This phenomenon is resulted in new strategies such as the Omni-Channel strategy that are now being employed by the off-line retail industry to meet the needs of consumers who seek information on-line. In particular, human services provided in department stores (which still occupy an important place in the off-line retail industry) are reaching limitations in the ability to maintain consumers. This study provides basic data for the Omni-Channel strategy of domestic department stores by researching and analyzing Omni-Channel strategy cases in Manhattan. This study dissects and analyzes the "Showrooming" phenomenon and the development of the Omni-Channel strategy through a literature review as well as analyzes the Omni-Channel success case of Macy's department store. The findings indicate that the use of the Omni-Channel strategy by Macy's department store has solved the problem of "Showrooming," by integrating on-line and off-line shopping to provide an efficient and convenient shopping experience for consumers. The Omni-Channel strategy offers a means for off-line stores to connect to the online shopping behavior of consumers. The results suggest the need for an organic combination of on-line and off-line distribution channels to adapt to changes in consumer shopping patterns due to a recession in the domestic market.

Background : Utilization review has been adopted as a vehicle for cost and utilization control of health care services. Its role was further stressed and expanded through the establishment of Health Insurance Review Agency in 2001. This article is to introduce concept, activities, and effect of utilization review based on the experiences of U.S. and to suggest important characteristics for ideal utilization review activities at the national level in Korea. Method : Twenty-five articles related with utilization review were reviewed after being selected through web site search through Med Line and Richis. Result : Utilization review was introduced mainly for health care expenditure control either by insurer, provider or the third parties under the pressure of increasing health care cost. It's activities can be categorized to prospective, concurrent and retrospective review according to the time of service provision. Based on most of studies, utilization review has been effective in controling rising health care cost and utilization. However it's effectiveness assumes a reimbursement structure of managed care like capitation payment. More worse, it is still unknown it's effectiveness on quality of care. Conclusion : Utilization review should be employed to increase the cost effectiveness of medical care by optimizing quality and patient's outcomes while also attempting to reduce the use of resources. So, it should consider outcomes before expenditures, check for both under and over-use, and construct an structure in which consumption is reduced equitably. Aggressive adoption of utilization review in Korean health care setting with fee-for-service reimbursement structure might not be a cost-effective approach before adoption of prospective payment system such as D.R.G. and capitation.

DUR (Drug Utilization Review) originally referred to the evaluation of drug usage details: however DUR refers to the system used to support the services of prescribing and dispensing through linking from Health Insurance Review and Assessment (HIRA) Service in Korea. HIRA is going to begin the DUR enforcement for extending to nationwide coverage after pilot test. Objectives: The aims for this study were to evaluate and clarify the current opinions of the pharmacists for the recognition and acceptance rates before nationwide coverage concerning DUR system. Methods: A 16-question-questionnaire was developed and pilot tested. For 40 days of survey by both on-line and fax paper, it was carried out on 80 pharmacists working at community pharmacy in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. Results: Most of answers were broadly positive and interested in begining the DUR system and kept in mind that the goal of DUR is safety guarantee for people. On the other hand, most of answerers worry that delay of patient waiting time and inharmonious communication with doctors in DUR processing can be a major obstacle to begin the DUR system. Conclusion: To solve several problems, the most important things are to make good reciprocal relationships between doctors and pharmacists, investigate intervention tool to shorten patient waiting time, and activate educational program of inspecting items for the pharmacists.

This article focuses on analyzing the cases of on-line archival contents services of the national archives' web-sites and explaining their types and characteristics. This study defines the concept of on-line archival contents services through literature review. Then, it examines the cases of on-line archival contents provided by web-sites of the USA, the UK, Australian and Korean national archives. The types of on-line archival contents services are classified in accordance with the main purpose of use, the structure, and the way of interaction between contents and users. Lastly, it summarizes their structural and thematic characteristics by type and country.

Companies and consumers are highly interested in online activities such as word-of-mouth(W.O.M) as marketing paradigm moved to online context. In this study, the research identified major variables affecting product review reference rate online and analyzed the difference based on those variables. According to the results, remarkable differences were discovered in four variable such as 'brand reference', 'review symbol', 'affirmation' and 'information offering'. In addition, the researcher found 'brand reference' and 'information offering' are most important factors deciding review reference rate using regression tree analysis method. Based on the results, the practical implications and further research directions for utilizing consumer online W.O.M were discussed.

The dynamic behavior of high speed train is very important because of its safety and passengers' ride comfort. The railway vehicle is composed of many suspension components, such as 1st springs, 1st dampers, 2nd springs and 2nd dampers, that have an influence on the dynamic characteristics of high speed train. Also, the wheel/rail shapes and the track geometry affect the dynamic behavior of high speed train. This paper reviews the dynamic behavior of KHST in the KTX test line. The VAMPIRE program is used for this simulation. The simulation results are within the limits of safety criteria. Thus the KHST can operate safely at 350 km/h in the KTX test line.

A subway in Seoul has had a major role of public transportation after the opening of Seoul Subway Line 1 on August 15, 1974 and it has reached 34.7% of the transportation of Seoul citizens. The extended length of the subway system suppled with DC power in Korea is about 500km. In this system, the devices which are proper for regenerative power system are being required because of changeover from old braking and ATS signal system to regenerative braking and ATO signal system. In this paper, we reviewed the safety standards for the insulated hangers in overhead contact line. These hangers which have depended on foreign imports are being developed in Korea considering ease of demand and supply and economic effects.

As the trend of e-business activities develop, customers come into contact with products through on-line shopping sites and lots of customers refer product reviews before the purchasing on-line. However, as the volume of product reviews grow, it takes a great deal of time and effort for customers to read and evaluate voluminous product reviews. Lately, attention is being paid to Opinion Mining(OM) as one of the effective solutions to this problem. In this paper, we propose an efficient method for opinion sentiment classification of product reviews using product specific context information of words occurred in the reviews. We define the context information of words and propose the application of context for sentiment classification and we show the performance of our method through the experiments. Additionally, in case of word corpus construction, we propose the method to construct word corpus automatically using the review texts and review scores in order to prevent traditional manual process. In consequence, we can easily get exact sentiment polarities of opinion words in product reviews.
