The follow up study after massive outbreak of Akabane and bovine ephemeral fever viruses in Korea

  • Since a large number of Akabane and bovine ephemeral fever (BEF) infection occurred in the southern part of Korea in 2010, recent information about seroprevalence of Akabane virus (AKAV) and bovine ephemeral fever virus (BEFV) has been required for preventing both diseases. In this study, serological assay against AKAV and BEFV using virus neutralization assay was conducted using 1,743 bovine sera collected from Namwon, Miryang, Yeongju and Uljin which located in Southern part of Korea from March to May in 2012. The overall seropositive rates for AKAV and BEFV were found to be 49.8% and 1.2%, respectively. The regional distribution of seroprevalence for AKAV ranged from 18.1% to 63.7%. Seroprevalences of AKAV were 63.7% in Miryang, 62.3% in Uljin, 50.7% in Namwon, and 18.1% in Yeongju. The seropositive rates for AKAV in southern part of Korea were higher than the annual average at the national level. On the other hand, seropositive rates of BEFV in four regions were from 0.3 to 3.1%. In detail, regional seroprevalences were 3.1% in Miryang, 2.0% in Uljin, and 1.7% in Yeongju, and 0.3% in Namwon. Even only one year after massive outbreaks, overall seropositive rates were very low, similar to the annual average at the nation level. This result indicates that many number of cattle infected with BEFV may be replaced by new born calf or cattle in farm may not be immunized with vaccines. To prevent another epidemic, a national wide warning should be issued and more aggressive control measure must be implied. Recent global warming phenomenon could lead to more vigorous activity of haematophagous vectors and it is possible that arboviral diseases such as AKAV and BEFV are increased. Therefore, continuous sero-monitoring and extensive vaccination combined with control of haematophagous vectors are important to effectively prevent and control diseases caused by AKAV and BEFV.

토양세균의 Poly-3-hydroxybutyrate,$Sky-Green^R$$Mater-Bi^R$분해 특성 (Biodegradation Characteristics of Poly-3-hydroxybutyrate, $Sky-Green^R$ and $Mater-Bi^R$ by Soil Bacteria)

  • 생분해성 플라스틱으로 현재 상업화에 가장 근접해 있는 poly-3-hydroxybutyrate (PHB), $Sky-Green^R$(SG) 및 $Mater-Bi^R$(MB)를 활성오니토 및 경작토에 매립하여 PHB 분해세균 3주, SG 분해세균 3주 및 MB 분해세균 1주를 분리하였다. PHB 분해세균은 Flavimonas oryzihabitans, Corynebacterium pseudodiphtheriticum 및 Micrococcus diversus로, SG 분해세균은 Pseudomonas vesicuraris, Pasteurlla multocida 및 Flavobacterium odoratum으로, MB 분해세균은 Pseudomonas vesicuraris로 동정되었다. 각 플라스틱 film을 함유한 무기염 액체배지에서 28일 간의 생분해성 실험 결과 평균 중량감소는 PHB와 SG은 각각 44~69% 및 25~32%, MB는 29%를 나타내어 PHB의 생분해성이 가장 우수하였다. 각 플라스틱 film의 활성오니토 매립 전과 후의 표면 변화를 조사한 결과 미생물이 다공성의 film 표면에 많은 colony를 형성하는 것이 SEM으로 관찰되었다. PHB, SG 및 MB의 무생물적 분해와 F. oryzihabitans에 의한 미생물학적 생분해를 TOC와 pH 변화로 측정하여 비교 분석하였을 때, SG과 MB는 분해 정도가 서로 유사하였으나 PHB는 SG는 MB에 비하여 dir 3배 더 빠르게 무생물적 분해가 일어났다. Yeast extract를 포함한 배지에서 PHB, GS 및 MB의 분해는 yeast extract를 포함하지 않은 배지에서 보다 훨씬 빠르게 안정되었으며, 두 경우 모두 PHB의 분해는 SG 및 MB에 비하여 더 빠르게 일어졌다.

Inhibition of human breast carcinoma by BLC (Sargassum fulvellum) and BLC/HEN Egg in vitro and in vivo

  • Much of the interest on the chemopreventive properties of herbs and plants has been raised, whereas little is regarding to anti-tumor effect of farming and aquatic products. In the present study, the anti-tumor effect of hot-water extract of a seaweed, BLC (Sargassum fulvellum) and BLC/HEN egg was investigated using MCF-7 cells in vitro and in vivo systems. We found that the BLC extract and BLC/HEN egg inhibited cell proliferation in a dose-dependent manner, which might be mediated through up-regulation of p53. Furthermore, this test compound can directly induce apoptosis in MCF-7 cells, which might be mediated through up-regulation of a pro-apoptotic Bax protein and down-regulation of a anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 protein, not by immune system. Nude mice bearing established breast tumors (with exogenous estradiol) were treated with BLC extract and BLC/HEN egg. Treatment BLC extract and BLC/HEN egg caused a 42% and 71% inhibition of tumor growth, respectively. Both agents caused a significant inhibition of volume and weight growth of estrogen independent human breast tumors established from MCF-7 cells. Our results suggested that BLC extract and BLC/HEN egg have the efficacious effect of human breast cancer not only in vitro but also in vivo.

흰색 반겹꽃의 화단국화 '누리볼' 육성 (Breeding of Garden Chrysanthemum Cultivar 'Nuri Ball' (Dendranthema grandiflorum Ramat.) with White Color Petals and Semi-Decorative Type Characteristics)

  • '누리볼(Nuri Ball)'은 충남농업기술원 예산국화시험장에서 2011년에 육성한 흰색꽃을 가진 반구형 화단국화 품종이다. 품종육성 경위는 모본으로 노랑색 반겹꽃 화형의 줄기가 강한 특 징을 가지고 있는 '02-145-01' 계통과 흰색 반겹꽃 화형의 초형이 안정적인 '02-04-32'계통을 2004년에 인공교배하여 얻었으며, 2006년부터 2009년까지 특성을 조사하였고, 농작물 직무육성 신품종 선정위원회를 거쳐 2011년에 품종등록을 하였다. '누리볼'의 화색은 흰색이고 반겹꽃 화형의 형태를 가졌다. 생육에서 초장은 대조품종인 '화이트 미리' 보다 작으나, 초폭이 더 넓은 안정적인 반구형의 모습을 보여 화단국화로써 뛰어난 형태가 보이는 것으로 판단된다. 대조 품종과 형태적으로는 다소 유사 하였지만, 유전적 관계와 배수성 검정을 통하여 품종의 차별성을 확인하였다. '누리볼'은 5월 하순에 정식하면 9월 하순에 개화되어 대조 품종보다 16일 빠른 개화특성을 보였으며, 꽃은 대조품종인 '화이트 미리' 보다 크지만 꽃수는 적은 것으로 나타났다. '누리볼'은 화단에 이용 가능한 조경용 국화로써, 앞으로 농가소득 창출에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

돼지의 경제형질에 대한 환경효과 및 모체효과의 추정 (Estimation of Environmental Effect and Maternal Effect for Swine Economic Traits)

  • 본 연구에서는 2000년부터 2008년 사이에 출생한 Duroc종, Landrace종 및 Yorkshire종의 GGP (Great Grand Parents) 종돈 31,455두의 농장검정자료를 이용하여 단변량 모체효과 모형에 의한 돼지의 경제형질에 대한 유전모수 및 유전력 추정을 통해 모체효과가 돼지의 경제형질에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보았다. 조사된 모든 형질에서 각 요인에 대한 유의성을 검정한 결과 모든 형질에 있어서 품종, 성, 출생년도, 출생계절 및 산차의 효과는 고도의 유의성이 인정되었고 (p<0.01), 모체효과 모형을 이용하였을 때 각 품종별 형질에 대해 추정된 상가적 유전 분산과 모체 유전 분산사이에 부 (-)의 공분산이 존재하고, 이들의 유전 상관도 대부분 강한 부 (-)의 상관관계를 보여 품종, 형질 및 개량 방향에 따라 모체 효과뿐만 아니라 상가적 효과와 모체 효과간의 상관관계도 적절히 고려한다면 좀 더 효율적인 개량효과를 거둘 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

유질개선을 통한 낙농가 소득증대 - SCC와 유방염을 중심으로- (Increacing profit of dairy farm through improvement of raw milk quality : According to SCC and mastitis)

  • The study for a effect of monitoring on bovine mastitis was conduced for improvement of raw milk from Jan. to Dec. in 1996. Sampling the milk of 367 cows(1, 406 quarters) from 5 herds in Inchon and were carried out California mastitis test(CMT), somatic cell count(SCC), isolation of pathogens and antibiotic sensitivity tests. The results were summarized as follows, 1. The number of bovine mastitis was 177 cows(48.2%) and 371 quarters(26.4%) : clinical mastitis : 25 cows(6.8%), 32 quarters(2.3%) and subclinicsl mastitis : 152 cows(41.4% ), 339 quarters(24.1%). Incidence rate of mastitis by season were Summer 52.0%, Fall and Winter 48% and Spring 41%. Incidence rate of mastitis by quarters were Summer 30%, Fall 28%, Winter 25% and Spring 21%, respectively. 2. In the distribution of CMT degree by quarter, CMT positive(CMT$\pm$) of 1, 406 quarters milk were 50.1% (704 quarters). The ratio of CMT positivity by quarter were left front quarter 55.8%, right front quarter 48.9%, right hind quarter 48.6% and left hind quarter 47% The ratio of CMT positivity by season were Summer 54.1%, Fall 49.7%, Spring 48.5% and Winter 48% 3. The highest mean SCC by season among 5 herds was "A" herd. Mean SCC (cell/ml) of A herd were Summer 2, 032, 000cells/ml, Fall 1, 109, 000cells/ml, Winter 782, 000cells/ml and Spring 577, 000cells/ml. The lowest mean SCC by season among 5 herds was "E" herds. Mean SCC of E herd were Summer 1, 064, 000cells/ml, Spring 795, 000cells/m1, Fall 429, 000cells/ml and Winter 400, 000cells/ml. Mean SCC of the other herds by season were little difference. 4. The milk samples of "A" herd were collected from 10 cows. In 3 seasons, mean SCC of No. 2 and 3 cows were than 1, 000, 000cells/ml. In 1 season, mean SCC of No. 6, 7 and 8 cows were than 1, 000, 000cells/ml. The more than mean SCC 1, 000, 000cells/ml of cows by season were distributed Summer 4 cows, Winter 3 cows, Spring and Fall 1 cow respectively. The milk samples of "B" herd were collected from 14 cows. In 3 seasons, mean SCC of No. 1 cow was more than 1, 000, 000cells/ml. In 2 seasons, mean SCC of No. 5, 9 and 14 cows were more than 1, 000, 000cells/ml. In 1 season, No. 3, 6 and 7 cows were more than 1, 000, 000cells/ml. The more than mean SCC 1, 000, 000cells/ml of cows by season were distributed Fall and Winter 4 cows respectively, Summer 3 cows and Spring 1 cow. The milk samples of "C" herd were collected from 18 cows. In 2 seasons, mean SCC of No. 16 cow was more than 1, 000, 000cells/ml. In 1 season, mean SCC of No. 1, 2, 6, 7, 13, 15 and 18 cows were more than 1, 000, 000cells/ml respectively. The more than mean SCC 1, 000, 000cells/ml of cows by season were distributed Summer 5 cows, Fall 3 cows, Spring 2 cows and Winter 1 COW. The milk sampes of "D" herd were collected 24 cows. In 3 season, mean SCC of No. 14 cow was more than 1, 000, 000cells/ml. In 2 seasons, mean SCC of No. 14 and 18 cows were more than 1, 000, 000cells/ml. In 1 season, mean SCC of No. 1, 2, 3, 8, 12, 17, 19, 20 and 21 cows were more than 1, 000, 000cells/ml. The more than mean SCC 1, 000, 000cells/ml of cows were distributed Fall 15 cows, Spring and Winter 4 cows respectively and Summer 3 cows. The milk samples of "E" herd were collected from 27 cows. In 2 seasons, mean SCC of No. 6, 7 and 21 cows were more than 1, 000, 000cells/ml. In 1 season, mean SCC of No. 2, 4, 7, 11, 14, 16 and 23 cows were more than 1, 000, 000cells/ml. The more than mean SCC 1, 000, 000cells/ml of cows were distributed Spring and Fall 5 cows respectively, Summer and Winter 2 cows, respectively. 5. The rate of isolated pathogenic microorganisms from bovine mastitis were summarized as follows : Staphylococcus sp 168 strains(45.8%), Streptococcus sp 82 strains(22.3%), Gram(-) sp 45 strains(12.3%), Gram(+) sp 51 strains and the other sp 21 strains(5.7%). 6. The highest of antibiotic sensitivity test of each microorganism was summarized as follows : Staphyolcoccus sp - cephalosporin 76%, gentamicin 55%, Streptococcus sp - ampicillin 61%, cephalosporin 63%, Gram(-) sp - gentamicin 58%, Gram(+) sp - cephalosporin 63%, The other sp - cephalosporin 90%. Microorganisms showed the highest sensitivity(68%) to cephalospsorin. Microorganisms showed the highest sensitivity(68%) to cephalospsorin.

장티브스에 관한 임상적 관찰 (Clinical review of Typhoid Fever Patients)

  • The author reviewed the medical records of 96 typhoid fever patients who were diagnosed, admitted, and treated at Sea grave Memorial Hospital from January 1 , 1973 through August 31, 1975. Diagnosis was determined by clinical observation, aerology and bacteriology, eighty patients were treated medically, the remaining 16 patients required surgical intervention. The following results were obtained: 1) The age distribution of the patients revealed that 33.3% wert between 10 and 19 years old 21.9% were between 20 and 29, and 19.8% were between 30 and 39. The majority of patients were from these more active age groups. Male to female sex ratio was 1.3 : 1 2) Seasonal distribution was observed. Most illness occurred in the summer and autumn month 5. 3) 84. 3%of the patients came from farm families. 4) Duration between onset and admission averaged 16.0 days. The group without compilations was admitted after an average of 15. 1 days; The group with complications was ad-matted after an average of 19.4 days. 5) Methods of treatment before admission were as follows: 10.4% at medical clinics, 61, 5% at pharmacies (antibiotics 47.9%, other. drugs 13.5%), 7.3% by herb medications, 20.8% had no treatment. 6) Main clinical symptoms were as follows: fever 93.8%, headache 47.9%, abdominal pain 47.9%, chills 38.5%, cough 36.5%, general weakness 26.0%, nausea e vomiting 24.0% and generalized pain 21.9%. 7) Temperature of patients on admission: 22.9% were 39f or more, 67.6% were between 37℃ and 38℃, and 9.4% were 37℃ or less. 8) Occurrence of intensional bleeding after onset of disease averaged 9.3 days; perforation occurred at an average of 19. 1 days. 9) Interval between onset of major complication and surgical intervention averaged 2.8 days. 10) Among the 68 patients who underwent the bacteriological test the positive rate was 44.1% (30). The positive ,ales to, each separate culture method were as follows: 20.4% in the blood culture, 40.4% in the stool culture and 6.7% in the urine culture. Among these bacteriological positive patients 15 patients had a negative results or less than 160 titer of vidal reaction. 11) The initial vidal test of the total group showed a counts of 160 titer or more in 60.4% and less than 160 titer in 39.6%, 12) W. B. C. Counts in the uncomplicated group indicated that 32.5% were 6,000/㎣ or less, 47.5% were between 6,000 and 10,000, arid 20.0% were 10,000/㎣ or more. In the complicated group, 37.6% were 6,000/㎣ or less, 25,0% were 6,000-10,000/㎣ and 37.6% were 10,000/㎣ or more. 13) Duration of hospital stay of the patients averaged 6.4 days in the uncomplicated group and 12.7 days in the complicated group. 14) Subdiaphragmatic free air simple X-ray was found in 91.7% of the perforated cases. 15) Duration of antibiotic therapy until an febrile state was attained averaged 4.8 days in the uncomplicated group and 6.5 days in the complicated group. 16) Operative procedures were as follows: one layer simple closure of their perforation with or without debasement in 56.3%, drainage only in 6.3%, small bowel resection with primary anastomosis in 18.8% , externalization in 6.3%, cholecystectomy in 6.3%, The clinical findings of this study suggest the following recommendations. According to Top's report; 1% of typhoid fever patients treated with chlorarnphenicol and 2% of patients treated with other drugs become chronic carriers. Therefore, importance should be given to the strict control of these carriers. Immunization, improvement of sanitation and living standards are all needed for the prevention and treatment of disease, but a more serious problem is a lack of knowledge on the part of patients and their families. Thus it is most urgent to enlighten the citizens about the transmission and hygiene related to contagious disease. Legal restriction of sale of antibiotics at drug stores without a physician's prescription is an urgent matter for public health administrators. An even more important nursing responsibility is the reemphasis on health education both in the clinical setting and in the home.

수경재배 프로그램을 통한 지적 장애학생의 직업적응력 증진 (Improving Work Adjustment Skills in Students with Mental Retardation Using Hydroponics Program)

  • 본 연구는 실제 재배농가에서 실시되는 엽채류 수경재배를 이용한 원예치료 프로그램을 통해 지적 장애학생의 직업적응력을 향상시키고자 실시하였다. 직업적응훈련모델과 제 7차 특수학교 직업교과과정 농업교과의 경제작물영역에서 수경재배의 특성과 기초적인 이론을 바탕으로 엽채류(상추, Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L. 'Asia Heuk Romaine')) 수경재배를 이용한 원예치료 프로그램(총 22회기)을 개발하였다. 인천광역시 K구에 위치한 특수학교 전공과에 재학중인 1-2학년 지적 장애학생 14명(남 10명, 여 4명)을 대상으로, 학교와 가까이 위치하고 있는 인천시 K구에 위치한 채소류 전문생산농가에서 실시되었다. 본 프로그램은 2011년 9월부터 12월까지 주 2회(회기 당 평균 60분) 전공과 교육과정 내 실습교육의 일부로 진행되었다. 수경재배를 이용한 원예치료 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위해서 담임교사 또는 원예치료사가 원예치료 프로그램 실시 전과 후에 실험에 참여한 장애학생들을 대상으로 신경근육발달능력(McCarron assessment neuromuscular development), 정서적 행동능력(emotional behavioral checklist), 대인관계전략(interpersonal negotiation strategies), 직업 흥미도 검사(KEPAD pictoral vocational interest test)를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 수경재배를 이용한 원예치료 프로그램 실시 후에 지적 장애학생들의 운동능력(P= 0.002), 정서적 행동능력(P= 0.00), 대인관계전략(P = 0.05)이 유의하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 직업 흥미도에 대한 통계적 유의성은 나타나지 않았다. 결론적으로, 본 수경재배를 이용한 원예치료 프로그램은 지적 장애학생들의 직업적응력 증진에 영향을 미치는 운동능력과 정서적 행동능력 및 대인관계전략에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 조사되었으며, 수경재배는 대체로 단순하고 쉬운 작업과정으로, 지적 장애인의 직업영역으로써 적합하며, 직무수행에 있어서도 비교적 어려움이 적은 직종이라 판단된다. 추가적으로 직업적응력 증진을 위해 실제 현장에서 다양한 종류의 엽채류를 재배하는 수경재배 프로그램의 개발 및 적용이 필요할 것이다.

젖소 유방염 관리에 따른 세균 및 체세포수 등급 실태 조사 분석 (Analytical studies of bovine mastitis management by standard plate counts(SPC) and somatic cell counts(SCC))

  • 1. The number of average milking cows, clinical forms of mastitis, mastitis-developing cows, and cows killed by mastitis a year were 25.7, 1.8(7%), 6.3(26%), and 2.7(10.1%)heads, respectively. The annual grade changes of standard plate counts(SPC) and somatic cell counts(SCC) showed the grade 1A of SPC diminished sharply from April to August, we think it was due to the lack of proper management in farming season and the grade 3 of SCC indirectly influenced increased in huge during August. 2. The average number of parturitions of farms was 2.3, but 50% of below 1 parturition were 22 farms(31%), 50% of above 3 parturitions were 16(23%) out of 71 farms. According to grades of the number of parturitions of milking cows per each farm, the farms' grades recording 3 parturitions and 50% were little bit excellent. 3. The actual situation research of foremilking CMT revealed 35 out of 74 farmer didn't do CMT Among them(35 out of 74 farmers), 80% did not test thanks to the troublesome process of the CMT. SCC grade 3, among farms who did foremilking CMT once or twice a month and who did not were 29% and 40% respectively and SPC grade 1A were 55% and 9%, respectively. 4. The research of actual situation on milking management let us know 29 farms(39%) did not do lastmilking, 37 farms(49%) usually did overmilking, and 34 farms(46%) did milking for 4 or 5 minutes. Grades according to average requiring times of milking showed SCC grade 1 of farms milking within 7 minutes was 11% and SPC grade 1A was 34%, on the other side, farms milking more than 7 minutes were 0% in SCC grade 1 and 13% in SPC grade 1A. Grades according to the starting time of milking after rubbing teats showed SPC grade 1A of farms starting milking at about 1 minute and over 2 minutes were 50% and 20%, respectively. 5. The research of actual situation on hygienic milking management uncovered 65 farms(88%) were using one towel which was used in washing teats and udders to wash more than 3 to 4 cows, and 53 farms(72%) were using one dried towel to dry udders not for each cow but for more than 3 to 4 cows after washing. Also, on milking turns disclosed 30 farms(40%) were milking cows in the order of incoming without isolation of a dominant group. According to grades of towels used in washing teats and udders, farms using a towel for each cow were 56% and a towel for over 3 cows were 31% in SPC grade 1A. According to using-or-not grades of dried towels after washing udders, farms using a towel for each cow were 79% and a towel for over 3 cows were 21% in SPC grade 1A. 6. Farms doing teat-dipping before milking were 7(10%), not doing teat-dipping after milking, or doing sometimes were 9(12%), and doing right after milking were 57(77%). And farms doing teat-dipping after dry cows and before delivery were 21(28a ). Farms using bethadine as an antiseptic solution were 70(95%), 40 farms(59%) diluted it with water as weak as 5 to 10 times, and on drying cows 64 farms(87%) slowly did it more than 2 days. Grade 1A of SPC of farms doing teat-dipping at every milking was 38%, farms doing occasionally or not was 33%, and farms doing it right after milking was 37% and doing after milking more than 5 cows was 20%. Grade 1A of SPC among farms diluting bethadine 5 times and diluting 5 to 10 times with water were 36% and 33%, respectively, and Grade 3 of SCC were 35% and 32%, respectively. 7. Studies on nonlactating period medical treatment, as the cows were on dry, 54 farms treated with their own hands.73 farms(98%) had bovine mastitis treated for themselves. And on applying medicines against mastitis, 55 farmers chose them on the basis of their own experience, 42 farms(57%) were treated more than 3 days. 41 farms(55%) dumped away the mastitis infected milk separately, 24 farms(32%) were feeding and milking at the same time. 8. Fifty-six farms(76%) always washed and disinfected milking machines after milking. Farms using the milking machines at low, or variable vacuum pressures, or at the vacuum pressure, set at the moment of its installation were 31(42%), and farms that did not know pulsation ratio were 27(37%). Farms changing liners when they were torn 8(11%), 58 farms(78%) said they checked milking system when there were wrong with them, 31 farms(42%) changed milking hoses when they found out problems, and 42 farms(57%) cleaned vacuum and milking systems when they felt dirty. The SPC grade 1A of farms washing and sterilizing milking machines was 38% and farms only washing was 28%.

가축분뇨액비저장조 침전물 퇴적 방지를 위한 2류체 제트노즐식 교반장치 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of a 2-fluid Jet Mixer for Preventing the Sedimentation in Livestock Liquid Manure Storage Tank)

  • 본 연구에서 고형침전물이 누적되어 쌓이는 것을 효과적으로 부유시키고 혼합하여 미세한 공기방울이 액비에 접촉함으로서 발효촉진을 도모하고자 폭기식 2류체 제트노즐 설계조건 구명시험을 실시하여 1차 노즐과 2차 노즐 구경비 설정 및 1차 노즐에서의 액체의 적정 유속을 설정하고, CFD 이용 유동해석에 의한 노즐 분사구 위치를 설정하였다. 이 결과를 토대로 가축분뇨 액비저장조 침전물 교반장치를 제작하여 농가에 많이 보급되고 있는 200 ton 규모의 액비저장조에 설치하여 침전물 교반 성능을 평가한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 침전물 교반기의 설계조건 구명을 위해 2류체 노즐을 공시하여 시험한 결과 1차 노즐과 2차 노즐의 구경비를 1:2로 한 상태에서 1차 노즐의 유속을 12.3 m/s 이상으로 하여야 기체 기포의 미세화가 가능한 것으로 판단되었다. 2. 컴퓨터유동해석을 한 결과 노즐의 설치간격을 같게 하는 것이 노즐당 담당부피를 같게 설치하는 것보다 효율적인 것으로 분석되었다. 3. 설계요인 시험과 유동해석을 토대로 4개의 노즐이 일자형 관에 설치된 침전물교반 장치를 제작 200톤 저장조에 설치 가동시험을 실시하였다. 먼저, 전체 평균 TS와 VS가 각각 23.4 g/L, 15.5 g/L인데 반하여, 교반 전 40 cm 이상 높이의 TS 및 VS가 평균 21.1 g/L, 13.3 g/L으로 교반기를 가동하지 않는 경우는 많은 고형물이 바닥에 가라앉아 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한, 가동 후 45분이 경과한 후에는 TS와 VS 모두 전체 평균과 동일한 값을 나타내고 있어 침전물들이 충분히 부유되어 혼합됨을 확인할 수 있다. 액체제트 분사교반 45 분후에 평균 23.5 g/L, 15.5 g/L로, 액체-기체 2류체 노즐 사용시 23.6 g/L, 14.9 g/L로 증가한 것은 교반 전에 바닥에 침전되어 있던 고형물들을 부유시켜 교반 혼합하는 것이 가능한 것으로 판단되었으며, 호기발효를 고려하지 않은 균일도 측면에서는 액체제트를 사용한 것이 보다 균일한 것으로 나타났다. 4. 침전물 교반기의 가동주기를 알아보기 위해 가축분뇨의 교반을 중지하였을 때 2시간 후에도 0.4 m 높이에서 TS 및 VS가 증가하고 있어 교반정지 간격을 2시간으로 주어도 교반기 운영에는 큰 지장이 없을 것으로 판단된다.
