Implementation of a video service system for internet based on H.263 (H.263을 기반으로하는 인터넷용 동영상 서비스 시스템 구현)

  • Under the worldwide booming internet environment, there has been increasing demand for various multimedia services. Especially the demand for effective video services has been rapidly increased. In this paper, we describe the implementation of video service system for internet use based on H/263 video compression technique and UDP socket on the TCP/IP environment. In addition, by using the plug-in-play technique, the implemented system improved user interface for correct retrieval and easy usage.

Congested Market Equilibrium Analysis

  • Congestion occurs whenever users interfere with each other, while competing for scarce resources. In a congested market, such as a telecommunication service market, users of telecommunication services incur costs in using the service in addition to the price. The user's own time costs involved in learning to use the service, waiting for the service, and making use of the service are typically greater than the price of telecommunication services. A market equilibrium analysis is performed in which a method for user demand aggregation is developed. The effects of price changes on user demands and market demands for congested services are examined. It is found that total market demands may increase as the price for less-congested services increase under certain demand conditions. This suggests that a nonuniform pricing scheme for a congested service may improve the utilization of the congested system. The sign of price cross-elasticity for congested services is show to vary with demand conditions. A possible complementary property of congested services is found and the implication of such a property is discussed. It is argued that such a complementary property may lead to a cross subsidy in a market with congestion. Finally, comparisons between uniform pricing and nonuniform pricing policies are made. A specific numerical example is given to show that a nonuniform pricing policy may be Pareto superior to a uniform pricing policy.

  • The purpose of this research is to practically figure out the relationship between Natural Forest service quality on user's satisfaction and demand to revisit. The results are as follows: First, the agent service quality, facility, accessibility, and cost as factors of the Natural Forest service quality. These are all influenced positively for visitor's satisfaction by priority of agent service> accessibility> facility> cost. Second, the agent service quality, facility, accessibility are all influenced positively on visitor's demand on revisit by priority of agent service> accessibility> facility. But the cost doesn't make an influence on revisiting. Third, the visitor's satisfaction made it as an influence on revisiting demand positively. These are the results for the research m service quality, user's satisfaction, facility, accessibility, and cost of the 5 Natural Forest over the Kyung-buk Province. We finally figured out the agent service quality is the most important factor to improve the quality of Natural Forest facility. We are sure about the improvement of the agent service quality which will make it successful.

  • In this paper, we have developed a technology-service relationship model which describes the diffusion process of a group of services and relevant technologies, and have applied the developed model to the prediction of the number of subscribers to the next generation mobile service. The technology-service relationship model developed in this paper incorporates the developing process of relevant technologies, a supply-side factor, into the diffusion process of specific services, while many diffusion models and multi-generation diffusion models in previous researches are mainly reflect the demand-side factors. So, the proposed model could effectively applied to the telecommunication services where the developing of the relevant technologies are very essential to the service penetration. In our application, the proposed model provides a competitive substitution between the next generation mobile service and the traditional mobile service.

  • The mVoIP service is the technology which focuses on the wireless data service as the IP network having the transmission rate of 100 Mbps classes on the high-speed middle of movement through the WiFi, WiBro and 3G mobile radio communication network, and etc. and is developed. Since 2010, the mVoIP (mobile VoIP) service shows the rapid growth due to 4G-LTE service seriously disclosed from July with the Smart phone and 2,011 it begins to be rapidly popularized. In this research, additionally the mVoIP service industry activation plan is presented with the trends of technology development including the chip-set/module/terminal, etc. based upon local and foreign market trend searchlight through the market demand analysis. The mVoIP service downloads App to the mobile apparatus and or can provide the service as the software through the WiFi network. Therefore, the change which is large in the products development aspect is to be have no. Expected to is being provided as the added service in the case of 4G-LTE as a matter of course, the service deployment where it is based on the market principle and demand needs is needed.

  • With the introduction of the ubiquitous technology, the housing culture centers have demonstrated future housing image or technology. But Ubiquitous Home Services in the future housing were more focused on implementation of environment for the future than exhibition that consumers can experience. The purpose of this study was to identify ubiquitous home services which were realized in domestic future housing and to compare those with results of previous researches on demand for u-services. For this study, field study was conducted with 3 domestic future housings and 14 previous studies on demand of u-services were analyzed by the standard of residents demand. The results of the study showed that u-services for housework and leisure life more than those for security and health, were applied in the future housing. However, residents prefered u-services for security and control of indoor environment to those for housework and leisure life. As a result, it was found thatu-services which residents needed mainly were discordant with those that were displayed frequently in future housing. Also developing u-services reflected the needs of residents, a test bed has to be established in the future housing and then pre-evaluaiton can be conducted.

  • With the rapid growth in the demand and supply of web service, the search for superior services has become a prominent issue. Furthermore, much emphasis and attention are being placed on composite web services, where individual services are combined together to form a single workflow to satisfy the demand of the customers. In today's era of excessive expansion of web services, this study intends to propose the execution plan architecture for composite web services to accomplish the following three goals. The first goal is to derive a feasible plan which maximize user satisfaction for composite web services by implementing an execution plan architecture that reflects the Quality of Service criteria. Secondly, this study also aims at analyzing and selecting the indexes that adequately reflects its quality and its nonfunctional property. Finally, this study intends to apply the concept of constraint satisfaction problem and heuristics to reduce the execution duration of the process.

Input-Output Structural Decomposition Analysis on the Growth of ICT Industry (ICT산업 성장의 투입·산출 구조분해분석)

  • This paper conducts the input-output structural decomposition analysis on the growth of ICT industry during year 2000~2019. The novel feature of this study is to dissect the economy-wide collective growth contributions into industry by industry contributions. The main results are as follows. First, the growth of ICT manufacturing industry has excessively depended on its own export and import-substitution of intermediate goods, while the growth of ICT service industry has heavily depended on its own domestic final goods demand. Second, for the growth of ICT manufacturing industry, its own contribution is about 79%, and the contributions of non-ICT service and manufacturing industries respectively are 11% and 9%, but the contribution of ICT service industry is only about 1%. For the growth of ICT service industry, its own contribution is about 61%, and the contributions of non-ICT service and non-manufacturing industries respectively are about 33% and 5%, but, surprisingly, the contribution of ICT manufacturing industry is less than 1%. Third, the contributions of non-ICT manufacturing and service industries to the growth of both ICT industries have been done mainly through increase in export and domestic final goods demand together with change in the structure of input technology.

  • The emergence of technologies like Big data analytics, Industrial Internet of Things, Internet of Things, and applicability of these technologies in various domains leads to increased demand in the underlying execution environment. The demand may be for compute, storage, and network resources. These demands cannot be effectively catered by the conventional cloud environment, which requires an integrated environment. The task of finding an appropriate service provider is tedious for a service consumer as the number of service providers drastically increases and the services provided are heterogeneous in the specification. A service broker is essential to find the service provider for varying service consumer requests. Also, the service broker should be smart enough to make the service providers best fit for consumer requests, ensuring that both service consumer and provider are mutually beneficial. A service broker in an integrated environment named Global Manager is proposed in the paper, which can find an appropriate service provider for every varying service consumer request. The proposed Global Manager is capable of identification of parameters for service negotiation with the service providers thereby making the providers the best fit to the maximum possible extent for every consumer request. The paper describes the architecture of the proposed Global Manager, workflow through the proposed algorithms followed by the pilot implementation with sample datasets retrieved from literature and synthetic data. The experimental results are presented with a few of the future work to be carried out to make the Manager more sustainable and serviceable.
