본 논문은 중국의 '화(和)' 문화사상에서 '화(和)' 라는 자형의 변천으로부터, 기하학 도형으로서의 '화(和)', 동음어의 문화속의 '화(和)', 설화속의 '화(和)' 라는 틀을 통해 '화(和)' 문화사상에 내재된 그 역사적 의미와 내포된 뜻을 알아본다. 또한 전통예술 속에서의 '화(和)' 문화의 표현방식과 2008년 북경 올림픽개막식 속에 나타난 '화(和)' 문화가 현대 중국의 사회문화적 이해의 주요 키워드로 사용되고 있음을 개막식 공연의 다양한 '화(和)' 의 시각적 이미지의 분석을 통해 알아본다.

Along with fusion energy, photovoltaic solar energy conversion has long been considered as one of the few sustainable options for large scale energy supply in the future. In the past, commercial use has been restricted largely to remote area applications where conventional electricity is expensive. However, 1998 marked a year of transition where the major application of the cells changed to become generation of residential electricity in urban areas already supplied by the conventional grid. The current state of the technology is discussed as are major overseas programs to accelerate the urban residential use of photovoltaics, particularly in Japan, Europe and the United States, includng the "million roof" program in the latter. Finally, the planned use of photovoltaics in the Sydney 2000 Olympics is described, where the technology will be used to provide most of the electricity requirements of the 665 residences which will be a legacy of the Olympic Village.

As the Korea Sports Council and The Korean Olympic Committee (KOC) were integrated in June 2009, the Amended Articles expunged the applicable provisions of the e Korea Sports Arbitration Committee (KSAC), which was established in Markch 2006. To successfully host international sports events, such as 2014 Incheon Asian Games and PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, the Korea Sports Arbitration Committee (KSAC) must be restored immediately. In this sense, this thesis places emphasis on the necessity of precise legal basis with the purpose of the revitalization of sports dispute settlement as well as the enhancement of the Korea Sports Arbitration Committee.

In fencing, athletes must hit opponents by the sword of fencing, so they need long reach between their foot and their tip of the sword. We thought the motion of shoulder joint, mainly scapula, is one of the important roles in this action and noticed the difference of right and left side in muscles around scapula caused by this action. We evaluated these muscles with MRI imaging in 5 high-level athletes of fencing who aims at the next Olympics (3 men and 2 women, their average age is 21 years). Besides we observed their physical measurement related with these muscles. We reported the characteristics of these results.

In this paper graphical exploratory data analyses are proposed for ball games in sports. The plot of sequence of scoring points of each team can be used to see how the playing game has been processed until the end of each set or quarter. With the plot of sequential score differences through all the games we can see a dominance of each team and the times of score changes, i.e., turnovers. The ternary plots show the contours of scoring compositions for each player and enable us to compare the scoring patterns of each team if any. Using the score sequence plot we also can see the score pattern distribution of players. For demonstration we use the results of the gold medal match between Russia and Brazil for men's volleyball and between USA and Spain for men's basketball at the London 2012 Summer Olympics.

The purpose of this study was to examine the use and purchase patterns, design and satisfaction degree, and desired performance of boardsailing suits. The subjects were 266 boardsailing athletes and lovers. The results were as follows; (1) The demand of boardsailing suits for spring and autumn was larger than that for the other seasons. (2) The order of influencing power in purchasing boardsailing suits was fitness, textile material, design, color, cost, and brand. (3) Preference of design was one piece style and preference of pattern was character pattern. Additionally, the study on Korean patterns was demanded for international games like Olympics. (4) The order of satisfaction degree of currently used boardsailing suits was activity, size, design, material, sewing, color, pattern, and ease of wearing and taking off. (5) For the performance of boardsailing suits materials, the estimated values of absorbency, water repellency, dye fastness, biological resistance, weight, handle, air permeability, durability, and elasticity were much lower than the importance values.

Purpose: This study began with an interest in the meaning and importance of Olympic mascots, and this paper aimed to analyze the types and features of mascots by comparing the Summer Olympics mascots from Munich 1972 to Tokyo 2020 and ultimately to understand the attributes of the Summer Olympic mascots. Research design, data, and methodology: The approach of this study is the exploratory approach by literature reviews. This study carried out exploratory research on thinking about understanding the characteristics of the Summer Olympic Games Mascots. Results: First, the Munich 1972 mascot, Waldi is known as the first official mascot. Second, many mascots are designed the most in animal form. But the process of change according to the material of the Olympic mascot changed from a simple animal form to a finely expressed hybrid mascot, and multiple mascots appeared in the 2000s. Conclusions: The Olympic mascot is a representative symbol of the Olympic Games, representing the identity of the host country. Five attributes of the Olympic mascots were identified: friendliness, a symbolic meaning, originality, diversity, and value. Further implications were discussed.

88올림픽공원은 한국 근현대사의 주요 전환점인 88서울올림픽대회를 기념하는 공간으로서 체육공원, 사적공원, 조각공원 등 다양한 기능의 수행을 목적으로 한 도시 공원이다. 문화올림픽이라는 슬로건 아래 88서울올림픽은 국가 홍보의 장으로 적극 활용되었으며, 이와 같은 차원에서 1986년 기 준공되었던 공원은 1, 2차 세계야외조각 심포지엄 및 국제조각초대전을 거치며 190여 점의 작품이 설치되면서 조각공원으로 재조성되었다. 본 연구는 조각공원으로서 88올림픽공원의 조성 과정 및 전후 담론을 살펴봄으로써 88올림픽공원의 역사·문화적 가치를 재고하고자 한다. 조성 과정 및 그 전후, 88올림픽공원을 둘러싼 여러 담론이 나타났다. 먼저, 추상 양식 조각품의 비율이 높아 한국의 문화를 보여주는 데 역부족이라는 비판이 지속적으로 제기되며, 한국 문화의 세계화에 대한 논의가 번졌다. 둘째, 조성 과정에서 몽촌토성 훼손 등 사적지 보존 문제에 대한 논쟁이 이어졌다. 셋째, 공원의 정체성에 관한 공방이 있었다. 이에 더해 조각공원 프로그램의 후속 도입으로 인해 공간과 작품의 간극이 해소되지 못했기에 통합된 도시공원으로 자리 잡지 못했다는 의견도 제기되었다. 조각공원으로서 88올림픽공원은 세계화, 민족성, 공공성, 예술성 등에 대한 논의가 대형 공원 조성과 맞물려 공론화된 초창기 사례로, 추후 도시 경관의 문화·예술적 실천에 대한 탐구에 있어 유의미한 역사적 맥락을 제시한다. 본 연구는 정치·문화·예술·조경을 아우르는 88올림픽공원의 조성 전후 담론을 살펴봄으로써 1980년대 문화예술과 도시 공간에 대한 논의가 벌어진 지점을 포착하고 해석했다는 의의를 지닌다.

This paper examines the dynamics of environmental policy development in Korea by reviewing some of the ways on how the policy windows have been opened. There are a lot of theoretical arguments about the major factors influencing policy development or changes. Many scholars have believed that severe pollution accidents or salient environmental episodes might have been the main motivation of environmental policy development. This line of argument seems valid, especially with the water pollution control policy in Korea. Water pollution control programs had rapidly expanded along with the series of water pollution accidents in the tap water sources from the late 1980s to mid-1990s. However, regarding other major env. issues, various other factors have played more important roles in the development of the relevant policies. In case of air pollution control policy international sport events such as, 1986 Asian Games, 1988 Summer Olympics, and 2002 World Cup Competition, have contributed for the development. The municipal solid waste management policy partly owed its development to the introduction of local autonomy system in the mid-1990s. Even the foreign currency crisis occurring in December 1997 helped the policy paradigm shift from rigid supply-oriented to soft demand-oriented approaches. After closely looking at the dynamics of environmental policy development in Korea, this paper tries to identify the logical background of the observed outcomes.

Industrial integration is the innovative embodiment of regional economic theory. The promotion of industrial integration is conducive to improving the scale effect and spillover effect of the industry. Also, it has the power to radiate, drive, and lead the innovation and development of the whole industrial cluster. The purpose of this paper was to identify the most suitable development pattern of the ice-snow sports tourism industry in Zhangjiakou, one of the host cities of the 2022 Winter Olympics. This study combs the characteristics of the development of the ice-snow sports industry, and analyzes the current situation of the industry in Zhangjiakou based on the SWOT-AHP method. This paper argues that the integrated industry is the most suitable development pattern for the promotion of the ice-snow culture industry in Zhangjiakou. The following content will present effective countermeasures to accelerate the development of the ice-snow culture industry integration in Zhangjiakou from three aspects: industrial resource integration, industrial chain layout, and scientific and technological innovation. The IT live simulation technique facilitates identifying some vital elements during the data collection.
