The author discusses about the collection development of old/rare collections in the university libraries. The method of this study is based upon the author's experiences at the University libraries and literature searching. Following items are discussed: (1) The characteristics and flow of old/rare books (2) Collection policies of old/rare books at the University libraries (3) Practical problems of the acquisition works concerning old/rare books (4) The conservation and weeding of old/rare book collection.

The purpose of this study was to explore the characteristics of children's favorite picture books by age according to genre. For this purpose, children of 6 and 9 year old were interviewed from October 2015 to January 2016, and the final data of 34 children were selected for analysis. The collected data were analyzed by inductive coding qualitatively. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, picture books preferred by 6 year old children appeared in the order of folktale picture books, story picture books, korean-domestic poetry picture books, informational picture books, and they didn't prefer korean-translated poetry picture books. They tended to like interesting story and well-constructed plots. Second, picture books preferred by 9 year old children were surveyed in the order of story picture books, folktale picture books, korean-domestic poetry picture books, and they didn't prefer informational picture books and korean-translated poetry picture books. They explored literary elements extensively and considered them as interesting factors. Based on these results, this study revealed reasons why children of different ages prefer particular picture book genre, and proposed ways to use picture book genres widely by age.

This study, that is made by an on-the-spot survey and a library survey, is aimed at finding some problems in the recognition regarding public library users and suggesting the clue to solve the problems revealed in the way of having compared with 'Book-Room' and Public Library. Poor material was always a troublemaker in this study. Especially the part of 'Book-Room' phenomenon is wholly dependent upon a field survey, that is, interview with a 'book-room' clerks, gathering the advertising leaflets, a close observation on 'Book-Room', etc. There are little printed materials, much less precedent research theses. In the other parts of this paper, there are needed good statistical materials, but the nortion presented in the public library user statistics-for example pupil, students, housewives, old men, the generality of people, etc.- is so vague that it is insufficient and unhelpful for this study. In my judgment, with all these limitations, this article gets some results as follows : 1. 'Book-Room' is the cultural organization which is being operated by, for, of the community inhabitants and it takes on the character of movement - labor movement, cultural movement, and community movement. 2. The pioneer of the Book-Room is 'Yangso Hyupdong chohap' (which means good book- cooperative association) lasted from 1978 to the next year. 3. 'Arom'(means learning) Book-Room is the first real Book-Room at Seomyon district in Pusan established in 1987. 4. Book-Room can be classified by its character as 'Labor BookRoom' and 'Cultural Book-Room'. There are 10 Labor BookRooms and 4 Cultural Book-Rooms in Pusan. 5. Labor Book-Rooms organized themselves to 'Labor Book-Room conference'. 6. Book-Rooms have done their best to extort the needs and interests of the community inhabitants, but relatively public libraries do not, hence the majority of residents are neglected from the public library service. This is at Book-Rooms' back to have been spread so quickly. 7. There is a very large gap between the component ratio of community inhabitants by class and that of public library users by same criterion, that is, in the case of the former, the labor class goes beyond a half point, in the latter, the majority of public library user is composed of students and housewives. 8. Researchers and librarians have concentrated their attention and effort not upon whole residents in community but upon existing users at present time. They do not try to develope potential users. So, researchers' and librarians' recognition regarding the public library users needs to be changed. 9. The concept of 'core-user' may be the key to solve the problems related with public library users. For the purpose of ensuring the 'core-user', it is necessary to study the community and inhabitants.

'On Zu Bub,' written in Korean, is the anonymous old cook book. The kinds of cooking food recorded-Wine 44, Nu Ruk 2, Sauce 2, dessert 6, side dish 2 etc.-are fifty-six items in all. Especially it was written mirutely about brewage. The wines such as Sub Wang Mo You Bok Gyung Hyang Zu, Gu Ga Zu, Sin Bang Zu, Bang Se Hyang Zu, Zuhk Sun So Zu, Gye Dang Zu, Sa Mi Zu, Gwa Ha Jul Mi Zu were not found in other old cook books, 'Eum Sik Di Mi Bang' and 'Zu Bang Moon' and the contents about Gu Gi Za Zu was guoted from Zi Bung You Suhl. The seasonings used were black pepper, ginger, Chun Cho, Cinnamon, Sugar, ect, but red pepper was not used. But, we can find 'Bingsagua' from this book. First 'Bingsagua' has been found in 1789. 'On zu Bub' is guessed developed in late 1700's.

The recent advent of the digital age changes socio-cultural environments. Since the value of technology is moving to the value of culture, new research areas which are the convergence of emotion, knowledge, and technology. These trends enlarge interactive digital multimedia in daily human life. One of them, book, also envolves new concept. Over electronic book, we present digilog book which is fusion of old-media and digital media. In this paper, we define digilog book as a new conceptual media and discuss it in details. Several digilog books are showed as an example and its authoring tool, ARtalet is introduced.

The book Su Hak Ip Mun(數學入門, Introduction to Mathematics) is one part of 5 sections of the book Seung Aeh Ill Chan(升厓日簒), which is a hand written manuscript in Chinese characters and the author and the date of writing is unknown. The book Seung Aeh Ill Chan begins with the song of division table so called Guguiga(九歸歌). We first investigate and compare the writing pattern of this with other old Korean mathematical books. Next, we investigate typical expression and calculation methods of mathematical contents and terminologies used in Su Hak Ip Mun and also figure out oddities of writing pattern of mathematical expression and cultural circumference of several problems dealt in the book. From these analysis and investigation, we estimate the writing date of Su Hak Ip Mun later than the year 1723 on which Su Ri Jeong On(數理精蘊) was first published. And we presumably guess that Guguiga and Su Hak Ip Mun are made not for practical use or theoretical purpose but for text to teach students.

This paper shows the need to study the commercialized color book game screen composition and manipulation interface type in order to enhance the utilization of the serious game mobile coloring book game, which is utilized from the learning of color sense in modern people and children to the hobby life of adults or old people. For the healing of modern people, we are going to look at the design configuration of game screen interfaces in simple and fun mobile coloring book games, and propose a new way to improve interface design that improves uncomfortable design by organizing and analyzing basic interface UI design types.

This study was to develop the health education program model of young children based on e-book using QR code to prevent and manage fine dust. We developed program to prevent and manage fine dust for young children' health through in-depth discussions with 2 young children's health experts and 3 young children education experts, and developed the e-book using QR code. The program model for fine dust's prevention education based on e-book using QR code was verified for suitability as a field adaptation and teaching medium for 5-year old. The results of this study are as follows: First, the program model for fine dust's prevention education based on e-book using QR code was developed through 3 stages of appreciation activity-central activity-finishing activity. Second, the e-book using QR code is a useful teaching medium applicable to fine dust's prevention education program. In conclusion, the e-book-based fine dust's prevention education program using QR code will be used as an appropriate education method for fine dust's prevention and health management activities in the field of education for young children.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a picture book-based leadership program on children's leadership. The participants of the study were 76, four- and five-year-old children of two kindergartens located in Seoul. The subjects participated in a 10-week program. The program was conducted once a week, for a total of 10 times during two and a half months. Children's leadership rating scale(Jang & Hwang, 2009) was used in the collection of data by teachers. A pre-post test paired-samples t-test and ANCOVA(analysis of covariance) were conducted to analyze the differences between the experimental group and the comparative group in leadership. The results of this study were as follows: First, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the comparative group in the leadership scores of 5-year old children of the leadership scores of teachers. Second, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the comparative group in the scores of challenges and self-confidence, self-control, and problem solving ability among the leadership component factors only among 5-year old children.

The hydrolysis of old book(Hanji) was performed using endoglucanase Ⅰ(endo Ⅰ), and exoglucanase II(exe II) and their mixtures purified from Trichoderma viride cellulase. The optimum degradation of old book(Hanji) with endo Ⅰ, exo II and endo-exo mixture(Ⅰ：Ⅰ) were exhibited at pH 4.5, 5.5, 5.0, respectively. Maximum degradations using endo Ⅰ, exo II and endo-exo mixture(Ⅰ：Ⅰ) occurred at 50$\^{C}$. The yield decreased an increasing the enzyme concentration. Especially, the yield was lowest for treatment with the endo Ⅰ-exo II mixture(Ⅰ：Ⅰ), which may be regarded as being due to a synergistic action of the cellulase components. Physical strength increased with increasing exo II concentration, and decreased with increasing concentration of endoglucanase Ⅰ. These results indicated that the degradation of old book(Hanji) depends largely upon the action of endoglucanase. Therefore, the most effective method of conserving paper cultural properties is to repress the action of endoglucanase.
