  • Fault currents characteristics contain decaying DC offset. First cycle peak value of fault currents is higher than steady-state fault current value. These characteristics can affect the operation of protective device. To reduce the asymmetric fault current, the method using a series connection of two hybrid-type Superconducting Fault Current Limiter(SFCL) components, an auxiliary SFCL and a main SFCL, has been proposed. The auxiliary SFCL limits the first half cycle fault current, while main SFCL limits the steady state fault currents. This paper proposed a decision method of the optimal insertion resistance of auxiliary and main SFCL components. To verify the effectiveness of proposed scheme, the various simulations are performed by using Electromagnetic Transient Program(EMTP).

Brittle fracture analysis of the offset-crack DCDC specimen

  • Applications of fracture mechanics in the strength analysis of ceramic materials have been lately studied by many researchers. Various test specimens have been proposed in order to investigate the fracture resistance of cracked bodies under mixed mode conditions. Double Cleavage Drilled Compression (DCDC) specimen, with a hole offset from the centerline is a configuration that is frequently used in subcritical crack growth studies of ceramics and glasses. This specimen exhibits a strong crack path stability that is due to the strongly negative T-stress term. In this paper the maximum tensile stress (MTS) criterion is employed for investigating theoretically the initiation of brittle fracture in the DCDC specimen under mixed mode conditions. It is shown that the T-stress has a significant influence on the predicted fracture load and the crack initiation angle. The theoretical results suggest that brittle fracture in the DCDC specimen is controlled by a combination of the singular stresses (characterized by KI and KII) and the non-singular stress term, T-stress.

입사각에 따른 반원형 입구형상 S-Shaped Intake에 대한 유동특성 연구 (A study on Flow Characteristics of the Semi-Circular inlet S-Shaped Intake at Various Angle of Incidence)

  • Air intakes are an essential component of aircraft engines. They are mainly used to offer uniform airflows to engine faces. Fighter aircraft have to mask the engine face inside the fuselage in order to reduce the Radar Cross Section(RCS). Therefore, offset intakes like a S-Duct are one of promising components for this purpose. During a fight, it is unavoidable that the flow will enter the intakes at some face angles other than zero. In this case, the performance of the aircraft engine will be influenced to the angle of incidence. In this study, the CFD analysis of the semi-circular S-Duct with AR(0.5,0) is performed to investigate the influence of the angle of incidence on the performance of the S-Duct using a distortion coefficient. To consider the adverse pressure gradient, a $k-{\omega}$ SST turbulence model is employed. The secondary flow and flow separation are observed for all computational cases. It is found that the positive incidence angle produces the best performances.

인쇄용 옵셋 잉크 자동 교반시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of an Automatic System for Mixing Offset Ink)

  • 본 논문은 옵셋인쇄용 잉크를 자동적으로 교반할 수 있는 시스템의 개발과정을 소개하고 있다. 교반 공정은 페인트, 잉크 등 색을 다루는 많은 산업 분야에서 필요하고, 특히 소량의 고점성 잉크를 섞어서 별색을 제조하기 위한 자동화된 시스템은 해당 산업체에서 크게 필요로 하고 있다. 본 연구에선 공전과 자전에 의한 회전과 벨트 전동 방식으로 잉크를 교반할 수 있는 시스템의 설계, 제작, 실험이 수행 되었다. 회전 방향, 속도, 교반용기의 각도 및 잉크 양 등 다양한 조건에서 실험을 수행함으로써 교반시스템의 성능을 검증하였다. 또한 실험을 통해 잉크 교반에 적합한 조건을 찾음으로써 옵셋 인쇄업체에서 별색 제조용으로 사용이 가능한 방법을 제시하였다.

임플랜트 지지 보철물에서 고정체의 식립위치와 각도에 따른 삼차원 유한요소법적 응력분석에 관한 연구 (THREE DIMENSIONAL FINITE ELEMENT STRESS ANALYSIS OF IMPLANT PROSTHESIS ACCORDING TO THE DIFFERENT FIXTURE LOCATIONS AND ANGULATIONS)

  • Statement of problem. The implant prosthesis has been utilized in various clinical cases thanks to its increase in scientific effective application. The relevant implant therapy should have the high success rate in osseointegration, and the implant prosthesis should last for a long period of time without failure. Resorption of the peri-implant alveolar bone is the most frequent and serious problem in implant prosthesis. Excessive concentration of stress from the occlusal force and biopressure around the implant has been known to be the main cause of the bone destruction. Therefore, to decide the location and angulation of the implant is one of the major considering factors for the stress around the implant fixture to be dispersed in the limit of bio-capacity of load support for the successful and long-lasting clinical result. Yet, the detailed mechanism of this phenomenon is not well understood. To some extent, this is related to the paucity of basic science research. Purpose. The purpose of this study is to perform the stress analysis of the implant prosthesis in the partially edentulous mandible according to the different nature locations and angulations using three dimensional finite element method. Material and methods, Three 3.75mm standard implants were placed in the area of first and second bicuspids, and first molar in the mandible Thereafter, implant prostheses were fabricated using UCLA abutments. Five experimental groups were designed as follows : 1) straight placement of three implants, 2) 5$^{\circ}$ buccal and lingual angulation of straightly aligned three implants, 3) 10$^{\circ}$ buccal and lingual angulation of straightly aligned three implants. 4) lingual offset placement of three implants, and 5) buccal offset placement of three implants. Average occlusal force with a variation of perpendicular and 30$^{\circ}$ angulation was applied on the buccal cusp of each implant prosthesis, followed by the measurement of alteration and amount of stress on each configurational implant part and peri-implant bio-structures. The results of this study are extracted from the comparison between the distribution of Von mises stress and the maximum Von mises stress using three dimensional finite element stress analysis for each experimental group. Conclusion. The conclusions were as follows : 1. Providing angulations of the fixture did not help in stress dispersion in the restoration of partially edentulous mandible. 2. It is beneficial to place the fixture in a straight vertical direction, since bio-pressure in the peri-implant bone increases when the fixture is implanted in an angle. 3. It is important to select an appropriate prosthodontic material that prevents fractures, since the bio-pressure is concentrated on the prosthodontic structures when the fixture is implanted in an angle. 4. Offset placement of the fixtures is effective in stress dispersion in the restoration of partially edentulous mandible.

동해 울릉분지 심해 탄성파 탐사자료 진폭변화분석 (Amplitude Variation Analysis for Deep Sea Seismic Data in the Ulleung Basin, East Sea)

  • 탄성파 탐사자료의 진폭변화를 분석하면 지층의 유체를 탐지하고 석유 가스 저류층의 정밀한 물성 도출이 가능하다. 본 연구는 동해 울릉분지의 심해 탄성파 탐사자료에 대하여 진폭변화를 분석하고 정리하였다. 중합단면에서 반사신호가 강하게 기록된 영역의 탄성파 공통깊이점-벌림 모음과 공통깊이점-반사각 모음을 관찰하여 진폭변화가 뚜렷한 영역을 선별하였다. 울릉분지의 중앙부 탄성파 탐사 반사각 모음의 주시 3200과 3300 ms 구간 탄성파 신호에 대한 종축절편과 진폭구배 속성을 계산하여 벌림에 따른 진폭 증가 및 감소를 확인하였다. 종축절편과 진폭구배를 곱한 속성과 합한 속성을 도출하여 울릉분지 퇴적층의 가스부존 가능 영역 상부와 하부 경계를 구분하였다. 가스로 포화된 퇴적층의 탄성파 진폭변화 특성을 보이는 영역은 탄성파주시 3 s 인근에서 간헐적으로 나타났다. 교차도표를 이용하여 울릉분지 탄성파자료의 진폭변화를 유형별로 확인할 수 있었다. 배경매질의 종축절편과 진폭구배는 함수 퇴적층의 일반적인 특징인 반비례관계를 보였고 가스함유 퇴적층의 진폭변화를 보이는 표본은 교차도표 단면상에서 1사분면과 3사분면에 위치하였다. 교차도표에서 선택된 표본들을 중합단면에서 추적한 결과 울릉분지 중앙부의 심해 퇴적지층 중 진폭변화 유형 3에 해당하는 영역이 수평연장 150 m 내로 분포함을 유추할 수 있었다.

은 잉크를 이용한 그라비아 오프셋의 전극인쇄에서 닥터링 공정의 영향 (The Effects of Doctoring Process in Gravure Off-set Printing on Patterning of Electrodes with Ag Ink)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the effects of doctoring process on the patterns of Ag ink in gravure off-set printing. The parameters of doctoring process were the angle and the pressure, which was represented by the depth of blade movement to the gravure roll, of doctor blade to the surface of gravure roll, and the angle of patterns engraved on the gravure roll to the doctor blade moving direction. The proper parameters were extracted for the fine patterns and they were 15 mm for the pressure, $60^{\circ}$ for the blade angle. And the angle of patterns with respect to the blade movement should be less than $40^{\circ}$ for the best results. The gravure off-set printing with the above parameters was carried out to print gate electrodes and scan bus lines of OTFT-backplane for e-paper. The line width of $50{\mu}m$ was successfully obtained. The thickness of electrodes was $2.5{\mu}m$ and the surface roughness was $0.65{\mu}m$ and the sheet resistance was $15.8{\Omega}/{\Box}$.

RTLS DS-SS모뎀의 주파수 동기 알고리즘 설계 (Design of Automatic Frequency Control Algorithm for DS-SS RTLS Modem)

  • 본 논문에서는 DS-SS 방식의 ISO/IEC 24730-2 RTLS 모뎀을 위한 주파수 동기 알고리즘을 제시한다. 제시하는 주파수 동기 알고리즘은 주파수 동기 획득 모드와 주파수 동기 추적 모드로 구성되며, 주파수 동기 획득 모드는 각도 추정과 검증 과정의 두 단계 과정을 통해 이루어진다. 각도 추정에서는 타이밍 간격에 따라 세 가지 경우로 나누어 각도를 추정하고, 검증 과정에서는 추정된 세 각도간의 이론적인 연계성을 이용하여 각도의 모호성을 제거하여 효과적인 주파수 동기화가 이루어지도록 하였다. 이러한 방식으로 구성된 주파수 동기 알고리즘의 이론적 해석과 시뮬레이션을 통한 성능 분석을 토대로 제시한 주파수 동기 알고리즘의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • This paper describes a method of aisle following of a mobile robot using machine vision. As a navigation guide, Black strip painted on the lower part of wall of aisle is used. The offset of the vehicle position from the center of aisle and the heading angle are determined from the binary image of guide strip captured by a CCD camera. To remove the effect of noise. i.e. break of guide strip for the door or reflection of light, pixel sampling method together with consistency check of the incline for the sampled pixels is used.

  • This paper deals with a new two dimensional clinometer based on dual axis micromachined accelerometers. The clinometer is a small and low-cost product, which is mainly developed to help golfers read easily the tilt of a putting green. First, this paper proposes the principle of two dimensional clinometer and also a calibration method with respect to the offset voltage and sensitivity of a accelerometer. Experimental results on the developed clinometer show that the proposed clinometer can provide useful information on the tilt angle and direction of an inclined plane.
