Delay-Margin based Traffic Engineering for MPLS-DiffServ Networks

  • This paper presents a delay-margin based traffic engineering (TE) approach to provide end-to-end quality of service (QoS) in multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) networks using differentiated services (DiffServ) at the link level. The TE, including delay, class, and route assignments, is formulated as a nonlinear optimization problem reflecting the inter-class and inter-link dependency introduced by DiffServ and end-to-end QoS requirements. Three algorithms are used to provide a solution to the problem: The first two, centralized offline route configuration and link-class delay assignment, operate in the convex areas of the feasible region to consecutively reduce the objective function using a per-link per-class decomposition of the objective function gradient. The third one is a heuristic that promotes/demotes connections at different links in order to deal with concave areas that may be produced by a trunk route usage of more than one class on a given link. Approximations of the three algorithms suitable for on-line distributed TE operation are also derived. Simulation is used to show that proposed approach can increase the number of users while maintaining end-to-end QoS requirements.

  • The increasing number of mobile phone users has caused the increasing number of mobile internet subscribers since the 2000s. However, there are little studies on commercial transactions through mobile internet by contraries of abundant studies on the traditional offline and online commerce. This paper aims to find out some factors affecting customer satisfaction in the mobile commerce. For this purpose, influential factors were drawn out by comparing mobile commerce with e-commerce and a more systematic framework was developed. 6 factors were proposed such as mobile internet experience, perceived content Quality, perceived ease of use, perceived price level, perceived system Quality and perceived security level. Initially, they have effects on the customer satisfaction, and then, they have relationships with customer complaint and customer loyalty. In this paper, a Questionnaire survey was conducted. And a general structural equation model was applied to empirically test the proposed research model which is based on the relationships among the 6 factors and customer satisfaction, customer complaint and customer loyalty. This study will be useful to firms providing services of mobile commerce, because it can find out some influential and significant factors of the mobile commerce.

  • 본 연구는 4차 산업혁명시대와 Covid 19로 인해 비대면 라이프스타일이 가속화됨에 따라 배달 앱을 이용하는 사용자의 행태를 분석하였다. 구체적으로 본 연구는 배달 앱 서비스를 이용하는 고객의 지각된 서비스 품질이 전환비용, 고객 만족과 지속적 사용의도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 그 결과를 토대로 배달 앱을 이용하는 이용자(고객), 배달 앱에 가입하여 운영하는 입점자(음식점), 그리고 고객과 음식점을 연결하여 주는 플랫폼(배달의 민족 등)에 유용한 정보와 시사점을 제공하는 것이 주요 목적이다.

  • Payment systems are evolving, and this study examines how blockchain and AI improve online transactional security and service quality. The study examines micro and macro payment systems, compares online, and offline methods all over the world. The study also examines how blockchain and AI affect payment system security, privacy, and efficiency globally and rapidly digitizing economy. Digital payment methods are growing all over the world with high literacy and digital engagement, but they face challenges. The research highlights cybersecurity threats and the need to balance user convenience and security. It suggests blockchain and AI improve online payment services, supporting the policies for different countries. In this extensive research survey, we compare and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of various payment systems, their practicality, and their robustness. This study also examines how technological innovations and payment systems interact to reveal how blockchain and AI could transform the financial sector. It seeks to understand how technology-enhancing service quality can boost customer satisfaction and financial stability in the digital age. The findings should help policymakers, financial institutions, and technology developers optimize online payment systems for a more secure and efficient digital economy.

How E-learning Business for Teens Has Evolved in Korea: The Case of MegaStudy

  • Since MegaStudy started e-learning business for Korean high school students, the Korean e-learning industry began to expand and steadily gain attention. This paper focused on the analysis of the development of the Korean e-learning business for teens and the growth of MegaStudy. The three institutional mechanisms were used to examine the factors that aided the development of the business. The regulatory mechanism was the government policy to prevent the expansion of the offline private education sector, which greatly aided the growth of the e-learning business. The mimetic mechanism was the notion to mimic the characteristics of the Korean e-business initiatives. The normative mechanism involved the widespread social norm suggesting that every student should be given an equal opportunity of private education. This paper also examined the case of MegaStudy as a successful case of the e-learning companies. It analyzed the business model of MegaStudy, which is based on its advantage as the front-runner and its high-quality contents and services.

유아용 유기면 의류의 소비 및 안전성능 인증실태 (Tendency of Consumption and Safety Certification for Infant's Organic Cotton Apparel)

  • This study surveyed the recognition and credibility of infant's organic cotton apparel and examined the current quality of children's organic cotton clothes available in the market. This study contributes to improve fabric certification programs and safety standards by understanding customer opinions and actual quality. A customer survey revealed that customers believe that organic cotton products should not include chemicals such as pesticides, fluorescent whitening agents and chemical colors; in addition, customers have high expectations for safety as well as worries about the products' validity. Children's underwear was the most purchased item category among organic cotton products. Current organic cotton certification programs are voluntary with multiple organizations that provide various certification standards. A total of 34.2% of children's organic cotton clothes sold at online and offline stores were not certified, and 10.5% had invalid certification information. This may substantially lower the credibility of organic cotton products and requires immediate change. Examination of organic cotton products showed that products do not meet customer expectations for quality and safety: 3 out of 8 products used accessories (buttons and wappens) that include harmful chemicals such as lead, phthalate and formaldehyde, 6 products used fluorescent whitening agents, and 4 products used other fabrics such as rayon, polyurethane and polyester. GOTS mark is the most recognized organic certification, but it still allows the usage of fluorescent whitening agents, which indicates a gap between customer opinions and actual certification standards. Managing national-level mandatory certification programs like food and setting quality standards that meets customer expectations are required to enhance the credibility of organic cotton products.

A "GAP-Model" based Framework for Online VVoIP QoE Measurement

  • Increased access to broadband networks has led to a fast-growing demand for voice and video over IP(VVoIP) applications such as Internet telephony(VoIP), videoconferencing, and IP television(IPTV). For pro-active troubleshooting of VVoIP performance bottlenecks that manifest to end-users as performance impairments such as video frame freezing and voice dropouts, network operators cannot rely on actual end-users to report their subjective quality of experience(QoE). Hence, automated and objective techniques that provide real-time or online VVoIP QoE estimates are vital. Objective techniques developed to-date estimate VVoIP QoE by performing frame-to-frame peak-signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR) comparisons of the original video sequence and the reconstructed video sequence obtained from the sender-side and receiver-side, respectively. Since processing such video sequences is time consuming and computationally intensive, existing objective techniques cannot provide online VVoIP QoE. In this paper, we present a novel framework that can provide online estimates of VVoIP QoE on network paths without end-user involvement and without requiring any video sequences. The framework features the "GAP-model", which is an offline model of QoE expressed as a function of measurable network factors such as bandwidth, delay, jitter, and loss. Using the GAP-model, our online framework can produce VVoIP QoE estimates in terms of "Good", "Acceptable", or "Poor"(GAP) grades of perceptual quality solely from the online measured network conditions.

VOIP 음질 개선을 위한 패킷 크기의 최적화 (Optimization of the packet size to enhance the voice quality of the VOIP system)

  • 본 논문에서는 다양한 서비스가 복합적으로 운용되고 있는 인터넷 망에서PCM 및 ADPCM으로 압축된 음성 데이터를 전송할 경우, 패킷 크기와 한계 지연시간의 변화가 수신측의 음질에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 주어진 한계 지연시간에 대하여 최고의 음질을 제공하기 위한 전송 패킷의 크기에 대하여 논한다. 결과를 얻기 위한 실험은 공중 인터넷 망을 통하여 연결된 두 대의 PC 상에서 이루어졌다. 송신측은 마이크로부터의 음성신호를 PCM 및 ADPCM으로 부호화하고 이를 UDP 패킷을 이용하여 전송하였으며, 수신 측에서는 망에서 발생하는 전송 지연 및 패킷 손실 등을 거친 패킷이 음성신호로 재생된다. 음질 평가를 위하여 송수신 음성 데이터를 수집하여 오프라인에서 비교하며, 알고리즘으로는 객관성을 유지하기 위하여 MNB 방법을 이용하였다. 실험 결과에 의하면, 40Kbps, 32Kbps, 16Kbps의 ADPCM으로 압축된 음성의 전송에서 한계 전송 지연을 100ms로 하였을 경우 음질 열화를 최소화하기 위하여는 패킷 크기의 하한이 각각 300, 400, 500바이트, 패킷 크기의 상한은 공히 1200바이트인 것이 요구된다.

음성 기반 상담의 품질 평가를 위한 자동화 기법 (A Method of Automated Quality Evaluation for Voice-Based Consultation)

  • 언택트 시대의 시작으로, 온라인 산업의 성장 속도는 점차 빨라지고 있다. 온라인 산업이 성장할수록, 고객 관리에 대한 중요성은 높아지며, 그 접점에 존재하는 컨택센터 시장 역시 성장하고 있다. 언택트 시대의 주요 서비스 분야인 컨택센터의 업무가 노동 집약적이라는 아이러니를 극복하고 컨택센터 업무 효율을 증가시키기 위한 다양한 업무 자동화 기술 개발 연구들이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 업무 자체는 정형적이지만, 그 중요성이 높아 업무 자동화의 효율이 높은 대표적인 컨택센터의 업무 중 하나인 품질평가 업무의 자동화 방법을 제안한다. 제안 방법은 채널 분리된 상담 내용 녹취 내용을 토대로, 음성 인식 결과를 획득한 뒤, 문장단위 발화 내용을 분석하여, 정량 평가 항목인 도입부 평가, 응대 중 경청과 침묵 평가, 그리고 마무리 평가를 수행한 후 수행 결과를 평가표에 맞춰 출력하는 단계를 따른다. 제안 방법은 전문가의 평가 결과 대비 92.7% 일치율을 보였다. 불일치 케이스의 경우, 주로 음성 인식의 오류에 기인한 경우였다. 따라서 음성 인식 결과의 신뢰도가 보장된다면, 본 논문에서 제안한 방법을 통해 자동화된 품질평가로 해당 업무 효율을 증대시킬 수 있을 것이다.

기업의 감염 예방 서비스품질 개선을 위한 정보공유가 방문업체의 질병관리에 대한 만족에 미치는 영향 분석 (The Analysis of The Analysis of The Effect of Information Sharing for Improving the Quality of Infection Prevention and Service Quality on The Satisfaction of Visiting Companies on Disease Management)

  • 본 연구는 기업의 감염 예방 서비스품질 개선을 위한 정보공유가 방문업체의 질병관리에 대한 만족에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 규명하여, 실무적인 관점에서 기업의 경쟁력 확보방안에 대한 기초정보를 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여, 부산, 경남에 위치한 오프라인 매장에 방문한 만 19세 이상의 341명의 방문객을 연구대상자로 선정하였다. 본 연구결과, 소비자가 지각된 건강신념, 지각된 질병 감염 가능성과 지각된 질병 감염 심각성이 방문업체의 질병관리에 대한 만족에 유의미한 영향 관계가 나타났다. 아울러 기업의 감염 예방 정보공유에 대한 인식과 감염 예방 고객관리에 대한 인식은 지각된 건강신념과 방문업체의 질병관리에 대한 만족과의 관계에서 유의미한 매개효과가 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 살펴본, 결론은 기업이 감염 예방 정보공유에 대한 인식과 고객관리 차원에서 조직 구성원 간 이와 관련한 정보공유와 경영성과 달성에 기여할 수 있는 일련의 경영 활동이 필요함을 제기하였다.
