The new filed of learning control develops controllers that learn to improve their performance at executing a given task , based on experience performing this specific task. In a previous work[6], authors presented a theory of indirect learning control based on use of indirect adaptive control concepts employing simultaneous identification and control. This paper develops improved indirect learning control algorithms, and studies the use of such controller indecentralized systems. The original motivation of the learning control field was learning in robots doing repetitive tasks such as on an asssembly line. This paper starts with decentralized discrete time systems. and progresses to the robot application, modeling the robot as a time varying linear system in the neighborhood of the nominal trajectory, and using the usual robot controllers that are decentralized, treating each link as if it is independent of any coupling with other links. The resultof the paper is to show that stability of the indirect learning controllers for all subsystems when the coupling between subsystems is turned off, assures convergence to zero tracking error of the decentralized indirect learning control of the coupled system, provided that the sample tie in the digital learning controller is sufficiently short.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of self-regulated learning ability on English learning achievement. A survey was conducted to the students majoring different fields of study in order to measure their self-regulated learning ability from March 10, 2010 to June 10, 2010. The result indicates a strong correlation between students' English achievement and self-regulated learning factors such as cognitive, affective, and behavior regulation. The results revealed that instructional, and training interventions should be needed to have significant goal-orientation, to maintain motivation, and to have self confidence from On-line and Off-line blended teaching for the successful English learning.

The purposes of this study are to develop cyber home study program on consumer life for youth in middle school students and to compare the learning effect of this program with that of teacher's off-line lecture in class. The contents of the middle school Home Economics. Technology textbooks was analyzed. Based on this analysis 4 cyber home study lesson plans on youth's consumer life were developed. The topics of lesson plan were as 'youth and consumer behavior', 'utilizing consumer information'. 'effective consumer choice', 'resolving consumer problems'. The cyber home study were composed of 5 steps which were 'guiding' $\rightarrow$ 'learning activities' $\rightarrow$ 'evaluation' $\rightarrow$ 'further study' $\rightarrow$ 'summery'. The second grade middle school students as an experimental group participated in cyber home study through on-line class. The control group of students who had same condition with the experimental group were taught by home economics teacher using traditional instructional methods in off-line class. After the experiment, the changes in consumer's attitudes and knowledge of both groups were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance. The significant improvements of consumer's attitudes and knowledge were found in both the experimental and control groups of students. However, the consumer's attitudes and knowledge of the students who were taught by the teacher in off-line class improved more than those of the students who studied using cyber home study program in on-line class. Thus, the following conclusion is made that the cyber home study could be one of the useful learning methods to aid traditional off-line teaching in class.

The secondary science teachers' professional needs and their preference for training method between off-line and on-line education were investigated. A nation-wide survey was administered to 145 science teachers from 106 secondary schools. The respondents showed high demands on all items. The prominent need was to motivate students learning science. To the contrary. their need for learning more about history and philosophy of science was the lowest. Veteran teachers and high school teachers had higher demands on designing evaluation items, but nonveteran teachers on evaluating the effectiveness of their instruction and updating their scientific knowledge. Teachers preferred the online education as a training method for most items except laboratory activities.
Recently, several models to control weld quality, productivity and weld properties in arc welding process have been developed and applied. Also, the applied model to make effective use of the robotic GMA(Gas Metal Arc) welding process should be given a high degree of confidence in predicting the bead dimensions to accomplish the desired mechanical properties of the weldment. In this study, a development of the on-line learning neural network models that investigate interrelationships between welding parameters and bead width as well as apply for the on-line quality control system for the robotic GMA welding process has been carried out. The developed models showed an excellent predicted results comparing with the predicted ability using off-line learning neural network. Also, the system will extend to other welding process and the rule-based expert system which can be incorporated with integration of an optimized system for the robotic welding system.
The Blended Learning of K-12 education can he complimented to exceed the limits of the traditional face-to-face instructional method and can help learners have experiences with both various interactions and different learning experiences. Specifically, in K-12 education blended learning has a strength in being able to integrate on-line instruction with off-line instruction and actively help learners emerge with a breadth of knowledge gained collaboratively.<중략>For the objective of the study, that is, an investigation by a literature review process, the mode) of the process of collaboratively emerging knowledge as well as the alternative model of the concept can be applied as a developmental research method, which can improve practical procedure, process, and prescription. For overcoming the model and the real situation, this study was applied with Checkland(1999)'s soft system methodology, using$\square$the comparison of the model and real situations$\square$part and$\square$defining the alternatives$\square$of Checkland(1999)'s methods. In conclusion, analyzing the conceptual model and real situation helps in the development of a model which can minimize the discrepancy between the conceptual model and the real situation within K-12 education.
This study aimed to develop and pilot-test educational program prototypes of training health coaches to help cancer patients overcome crises and create positive growth. For this purpose, the educational contents and methods of the blended learning program prototypes were derived through learner needs and literature analysis. The prototypes, which consist of introducing of health management and health information and understanding and practice of basic coaching and health coaching, were developed to integrate with four sessions of face-to-face, off-line classes, training practices through 12 tele-classes, and use of online learning system. The prototypes were conducted and pilot-tested by a total of 35 students selected through the document screening and the interview. After participating in the blended learning program, learners expressed greater overall satisfaction with each session program (average score = 4.36, with 5 being most satisfied), satisfaction with learning contents (average score=4.42) satisfaction with course preparation (average score = 4.26) and satisfaction with lecture materials (average score = 4.19). The results of this study show that a systematic and integrative approach for designing a blended learning program can be useful for various educational needs in health and medical fields. In the future, empirical studies are expected to see how these curricula are actually implemented and assess whether the intended learning outcomes are achieved.
We introduce an introductory engineering education course for engineering majors and non-engineering majors. This course does not require any previous knowledge and experience on engineering. It requires strong curiosities and imaginations on current and future society we live in, where technology is inseparable ingredient. Course encourages attendees to explore fundamental issues of engineering: what is proper technology and what are proper ways of exercising engineering, issues dealt in soft engineering. Since course topics cover many aspects of technology, traditional learning methods fail to be successful and efficient. Various efficient learning methods have been proposed and implemented. We utilize various interactive tangible media, which include simulated thought experiments and physical media experiences. About 20 episodes in short film format are produced based on scenario written according to related issues selected. Physical media like interactive robots are introduced for attendees' stimulated experiences. We summarize our exciting experiments on interactive teaching experiences at Pusan National University which include on/off-line interactions, assignments, projects, and evaluations.
We developed a web-based virtual laboratory system for electronic circuit experiments on the client/ server distributed environment. Through our virtual laboratory, the learners will be capable of learning the concepts and theories related to electronic circuit experiments and how to operate the experimental equipments such as multimeters, function generators, digital oscilloscopes and DC power suppliers. The proposed virtual laboratory system is composed of four important components: Principle Classroom to explain the concepts and theories of electronic circuit operations, Virtual Experiment Classroom to provide interactive multimedia contents about the syllabus of off-line laboratory class, Assessment Classroom, and Management System. With the aid of the Management System every classroom is organically tied together collaborating to achieve maximum learning efficiency. We have obtained several affirmative effects such as high learning standard, reducing the total experimental hours and the damage rate for experimental equipments.

In real time application such as motion control, it is hard to find the application of non-causal filtering due to its need for future position data, even though it shows wide usage in off-line digital signal processing. Recently, some of motion control areas such as learning and repetitive control use non-causal filtering technique in their application. these kinds of zero-lag non-causal filter application are very usful not only to reduce the machine vibration, but also to increase control accuracy with comparatively less work. In this paper, genuine method to implement zero-lag non-causal filter in a CNC is introduced. Also the variation of this implementation for the learning operation is suggested to give the NC better control performance for a specific job. By adopting the new NC architecture call Soft-NC, all these implementions are made possible here, and especially large memory requirement which hinders their usage for many years is no longer barrier in their real world application.
