This paper describes how to reduce the effect of an occupation threshold by that the transform of mixture components of HMM parameters is controlled in hierarchical tree structure to prevent from over-adaptation. To reduce correlations between data elements and to remove elements with less variance, we employ PCA (principal component analysis) and ICA (independent component analysis) that would give as good a representation as possible, and decline the effect of over-adaptation. When we set lower occupation threshold and increase the number of transformation function, ordinary WLLR adaptation algorithm represents lower recognition rate than SI models, whereas the proposed MLLR adaptation algorithm represents the improvement of over 2% for the word recognition rate as compared to performance of SI models.
The purpose of this study was to examine relationships between the preschoolers' fathers' psychological life position and fathering practice. A survey containing questions about psychological life position and fathering role performance was administered to a sample of 171 preschooler's fathers in the Seoul, Kyung-gi and Incheon province areas. Data was organized using Windows SPSS 12.0 and it was analyzed by various statistical methods including frequency, percentile, mean, standard deviations, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, t-test, Anova, Scheffe's multiple range test and Pearson's correlation. The findings of this study were as follows. First, most of the preschoolers' fathers had positive psychological life positions, and tried to understand and have conversations with their children. Second, the father's psychological life position made a significant difference in the area of the father's occupation. Also, there were differences in the fathering practices as related to age and occupation. Third, the psychological life position of the preschooler's father was related to his fathering practices.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify occupational stress and to determine level of depression of school nurses and to identify factors that influence depression. Methods: A cross-sectional design was employed in this study. Participants included 146 school nurses from D city. Data collection was conducted on January 17-21, 2011, using self-administered questionnaires. The SPSS/WIN 11.5 was used in performance of data analysis. Results: Significant differences in occupational stress were observed according to age, occupation and perceived mental health status, and in depression according to marital status, perceived mental health status and physical disease. Depression showed significant positive correlation with occupational stress (r=.35, p<.001). In regression analysis, occupational stress and physical health state were found to be the cause of depression in 17% of subject. Conclusion: Findings of this study allow for a comprehensive understanding of occupational stress and level of depression of school nurses in Korea. Further study using a larger random sample and various variables is needed.
Objectives : The purpose of this descriptive observational study was to identify the factors influencing the nutritional status of patients with liver cancer receiving transarterial chemoembolization(TACE) Methods : A total of 100 participants were enrolled in this study. Data were collected and descriptive statistics and logistic regression were performed. Results : Among participants, 41.0% had a risk of malnutrition and 59.0% had a normal nutritional status. Statistically significant differences between the normal and risk groups were found for the following factors: occupation; economical status; regular exercise; underlying disease; adverse events right after TACE; current adverse events; duration after TACE; depression; and self-care performance. Underlying disease(OR=5.134, p=.005) and self-care performance(OR=0.931, p=.032) had statistically associated with nutritional status. Conclusions : The findings suggest that underlying disease and self-care performance influence the nutritional status among liver cancer patients receiving transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE).

The purpose of this study is to investigate bases on the employed wives’family financial management types according to family financial management types according to family financial management project and performance. And it’s related variables will provide the basic information for the program which aids in the improvement of the employed wives’family financial management skills and family financial counseling. The major findings were as follows: 1) The total mean score of respondent’s family financial management was 3.54 out of 5. And the mean score of project and performance was respectively 3.42 and 3.62. 2) Among family financial management types, effective type, project-centered type, performance-centered type, ineffective type were respectively 38.7%, 16.4%, 13.2%, 31.7%. 3) The family financial management type of the employed wives was affected by information utilization the degree of communication, type of occupation, and job attitudes.

This research focuses on identifying and measuring key personality factors affecting the job performance of salesperson working in the machinery industry in Vietnam. A total number of 218 salesperson working in machinery industry were surveyed. After evaluating Cronbach's Alpha and using the regression analysis technique, the results show the impact level of personality trait factors affecting the job performance of salesperson working in machinery industry. Ordered from the highest to the lowest effects on job performance, these factors are: agreeableness, openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, and neuroticism. Five research hypotheses are accepted. Specifically, openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, and agreeableness have positive impacts on job performance of salesperson working in machinery industry in Vietnam. However, neuroticism has a negative impact on job performance of salesperson. This research results indicate the level of impact of personality traits on the sales staff performance in machinery industry. Many people apply to this profession as a career choice. Each occupation is suitable for certain personality trait, which changes very little during adulthood. Research also shows that each personality trait always has its strengths and weaknesses. The educational environment should create conditions for learners to develop their character in a natural way.
This study was accomplished to investigate the preference of clothing materials and the clothing demand performance for underwear and everyday dress of atopic patients. As this study was the research study by a use of a questionnaire, the finally total 987 copies of the collected questionnaires were used to analyze the data. SPSS was used for the statistical analysis of data. To analyze the data, frequency analysis, percentage, $X^2$-test, reliability analysis, factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA and Duncan's multiple comparisons were used. The results obtained are as follows. In factor analysis for clothing materials and the demand performance which atopic patients favor, the preference factors for underwear materials were classified as pliability/a sense of weight, a sense of cold and warmth, tactility, and elasticity. Those for everyday wear were classified as pliability/surface roughness, a sense of cold and warmth, a sense of weight, and elasticity. And the demand performance factors for underwears were classified as thermophysiology, care convenience, and skin contact. Those for everyday wear were classified as comfortableness and care convenience. In the difference analysis for the preference and the demand performance, Both everyday wear and underwear showed a significant difference for the preference and the demand performance according to gender, age, income, education level, and occupation.

Introduction : Sensory Integration(SI) theory, science it is developed by an occupational therapist A. Jean Ayres, is the one of the most popular frames of reference used in occupational therapy(OT) intervention. It has been proved as a scientific theory especially in neuroscience discipline through abundant research and practice. Occupational therapists apply the SI therapy with strong clinical reasoning to improve adaptive behaviors of their clients and try to link the adaptive behaviors with occupational performance in the clients' everyday life. One of the manners regarding clinical reasoning is Top-down approach. In occupational therapy discipline, Top-down approach is well-reflected within two evaluation tools; Canadian Occupational Performance Measure(COPM) and Assessment of Motor and Process Skills(AMPS) and two models of practice; Canadian Model of Occupational Performance(CMOP) and Occupational therapy intervention process model(OTIPM). Objective : The purpose of this paper demonstrates how SI therapy can be employed within OTIPM and how the OT process (evaluation-intervention-outcome) can be structuralized based on the Top-down approach. This single-case study recognizes the impact of a SI therapy for a male adolescent on his occupational performance. Intervention Examined : "P" was 16 years old male adolescent with no diagnosis and junior of the high school when he was referred. P was always with mouth opened, showed difficulties in gathering things need to be prepared and managing and paying money for shopping, and his colleges dislike getting close to him because he can't was his body well. AMPS was administrated in initial evaluation and reevaluation of P's occupation performance, Bruininks-Oserestky Test of Motor Proficiency-2(BOT-2) was carried out to assess motor functions and perception skills related in sensory integration, and occupational therapist performed clinical observation in order to complement the evaluation quantitatively and quantitatively. Based on the evaluation, it is concluded that the SI therapy is primary means to improve P's occupational performance, and three therapeutic approaches were constructed; restorative, acquired and compensatory approach. P showed improved motor and process skills in occupational performance after undergone the occupational therapy. Conclusions : The sensory integration therapy was practical enough to build the bridge between the occupational performance(Top) and the underlying component problems (Bottom). The OTIPM was helpful to identify meaningful occupation for P and P's family within P's contexts, and the AMPS was valuable to analyze and clarify the cause of difficulties in the chosen occupational performance.
The purpose of this study is to examine the motive of participating in the care work, the overall cognition survey for the care work and the infant care practice areas required in the care work for the child care helpers who activate in the care work, and search for methods of specializing infant care and care experiences on the results. Results of study showed that firstly, middle- or the late middle-age women participated in the care worker recognized care work as productive labor to create economic value and that secondly, the child care helpers' recognition degree of self-development and job satisfaction through performance of care work was wholly high level and that there was will of participation in training for self-development but actual participation rate was low due to restrictions by general conditions. Thirdly, the infant care practice areas and their particular contents that the child care helpers recognized in the care work necessary were highly shown in the whole. The requested level of education for safety management, play guidance, humanity guidance for infant and child was high. Point to discuss is that occupation stability and occupation image must be raised through the public job-hunting system for the child care helpers. In addition, a tailor-made education support suitable for the child care helpers' career stage is needed. Education support by the performance of infant care practice area and the educational requirements must be provided to major rearers to ensure that they can function as behavioral and emotional supporters. Finally, a support system for continuous self-management.
This study was conducted investigate the practice of health promoting behavior in hospital workers. The subjects for this study were 529 hospital war kern working in four university hospitals in the Kyong-in area. Data were collected by using constructed questionnaires from January 13. 1997 to February 24, 1997, analyzed by descriptive statistics, ANOVA and $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ comparison test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression. The results were as follows; 1. The mean score of health promoting behavior for hospital workers was 2.40. The health promoting behavior in relation to the characteristics of the subjects varied significantly according to sex, age, career, religion and number of children. 2. The mean score of health perception was 3.29. The health perception in relation to the characteristics of the subjects showed no statistical discrepancy. 3. The mean score of self-esteem was 3.80. The self-esteem in relation to the characteristics of the subjects varied significantly according to sex, age, occupation, educational background, religion and marital status. 4. The mean score of self-efficacy was 69.63. The self-efficacy in relation to the characteristics of the subjects sailed significantly according ding to sex, age, occupation, career, religion, marital status and number of children. 5. The mean score of internal health locus of control was 2.88. The internal health locus of control in relation to the characteristics of the subjects varied significantly according to sex and occupation. The mean score of chance health locus of control was 2.08. The chance health locus of control in relation to the characteristics of the subjects varied significantly according to occupation and religion. The mean score of powerful others health locus of control was 2.35. The powerful others health locus of control in relation to the characteristics of the subjects varied significantly according to career, educational background, marital status and number of children. 6. Performance in health promoting behavior was significantly correlated with self-esteem, self-efficacy, powerful others health locus of control, health perception and internal health locus of control. 7. The combination of self-esteem, powerful others health locus of control, health perception, self-efficacy, internal health lot-us of control, age and marital status explained 45.72% of the variance of likelihood to engage in health promoting behavior.
